2791 E Bidwell St #100, Folsom, CA 95630, United States
We were coming back from Lake Tahoe, found on Google this restaurant with some negative reviews but after trying this place I think it is best Asian fusion I had in my life. Will be back with friends and family.

Fats Asia Bistro Folsom
2585 Iron Point Rd, Folsom, CA 95630, United States
On April 21, 2023. I had a wonderful business meal with a friend and client at the Folsom location. The place was beautiful, clean, elegant and offered a menu of Asian fusion that was delightful. The server was completely tentative. The glasses were always full and more importantly, the food was made to order, I enjoyed it so much I ordered Chinese chicken salad to go to share with my wife. It is nice to know at the quality of service was equal and plentiful. I will be back and I highly recommend this restaurant for business or pleasure.

Origami Asian Grill

When your fried chicken reminds me of a yoga exercise studio ... Yup! I said it. The hype has been developing because their summer opening, yet what I really wish to return for is their Pork Stomach ramen!Im so torn. This location is a true 3.5-star dining establishment. What do I rate it? On the lower side with a three or the higher side with a 4? Well, undoubtedly ... I picked a 3 in the end.We HAD to get their renowned fried chicken appetiser because everybody asserts its the finest! I no longer think these individuals, currently that Ive tried it myself. It was plated truly charming and also you seem to get a suitable amount of chicken for the $12 appetizer rate. When I ate my drumstick it actually tasted reminiscent of a yoga workshop. Sage. Yes, all the sage. In addition, the hen was so oily, the covering slid right off and left me with a glossy item of chicken. I am most definitely going against the grain with this evaluation and also Im alright with this. I wont purchase it once more, however if I go and also someone orders it, Ill provide it an additional taste test. That ALL being stated, I will entirely come back right here for ramen! I picked the pork shoyu broth for my ramen. I allow the kind order taker make a decision which veggie options I would get, I honestly didnt care. I think decided to opt for the pork stubborn belly as my healthy protein. This is where I (once again) need to call them out on something. Their food selection prices is extremely misleading. It looks as if you reach pick a healthy protein for the $10 ramen rates, however, it really costs extra for whichever healthy protein you pick. I assume they require to call it out in a different way, so it is VERY clear just how their pricing works.Okay, I like the 63 \u00b0 egg and just how I can damage it as well as allow it exude in the brew. Normally, I just get the egg or allow somebody else have it. I loved the consistency of this egg, which was out of the norm for my ramen experience. The broth was appetizing and not also salty, which is a huge bonus offer for me! Oh man, their pork belly was sooo bomb! I appreciate the top quality of the noodles as well as amount also. Whatever concerning this bowl was perfect. It was a lot more food than I could have ever needed, yet it made assessing this place hard.Okay, I have another complaint. And I am very curious if any person else had this experience. My rice was truly oily and glossy, yet there was no off taste as well it. It was actually difficult to eat with chopsticks also. I needed to ask what was up with and also honor the workers heart for her the attempt at an answer. She said possibly it was as well watery. Anybody who eats rice on a regular basis understands when you add water to rice, it does not come to be glossy as well as oily. EVER. I thanked her as well as let it go, however I was rather discouraged at her reaction. Anywho, it was super tough to consume the rice and also so odd!Overall, for three ramens with proteins, one order of poultry wings, and also one beverage, $65 seemed truly expensive for rapid laid-back. Not that my viewpoint matters, due to the fact that they seem to be flourishing right here in their little Asian-is niche in East Sac. Im thankful to have checked it off the to attempt list, however I wont be demanding to come back and consume right here again. Their food selection isnt massive either.Ill be back to get ramen-tical, but not with the poultry ...

Burma Light
703 E Bidwell St, Folsom, CA 95630, United States
This was our first time trying Burmese food and we were blown away by how delicious it is! We had the tea leaf salad, black pepper beef, chicken pumpkin curry and garlic noodles with shrimp. The tea leaf salad was absolutely addictive with its flavorful dressing, fresh crisp veggies and crunchy topping - we practically fought over the last of the bowl! Black pepper beef was very tender and succulent with a rich dark sauce of soy & black pepper - reminiscent of Mongolian beef with more intense flavor. Delicious! The garlic noodles were full of garlic flavor and the shrimp surprisingly plump & plentiful. The pumpkin curry is very unique, smooth and full of complex flavor while still allowing the pumpkin to shine. Total comfort food! The portions were generous, the staff quick & attentive. We ordered takeout and it was ready right on time and piping hot. The interior is clean and the decor richly colored. I wasn't there long, but next time we'll have to eat there to get the full experience. We're excited to have this great little spot nearby and can't wait to try more of their menu!

Hisui Sushi
25004 Blue Ravine Rd Ste 107, Folsom, CA 95630, United States
Talk about fall of a shining star. Five years ago, I would've rated this place.⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️. It was what I would consider one of the best sushi restaurants in the Sacramento region. I rated them against Sky (EDH) and Kru (Sac), even above the popular Mikuni chain. After Covid, there has been a steady decline in service and quality. My family and I stayed loyal, all the way until last night. When we first started going, I just figured the restaurant was new and needed time to build. Since then, the decor has not progressed beyond what you would expect from a strip mall diner. The service used to be absolutely stellar. The staff was attentive and accommodating. The newer employees treat you more like you're a nuisance and would rather adjust your bill versus just correcting the order. Normally, I enjoy dining in, but I also have a large family so we do a lot of takeout. On my last two experiences, one dine in and one takeout, the person taking my order missed an item. (The first time it was my personal meal and by the time I realized my meal wasn't coming, my family was mostly done with their meals. The second time was just a side order of rice for takeout). Most of the time I can let sloppy decor and poor service slide, as long as the food stays of superior quality. This is why I'm finally giving Hisui a rating. The fish was so poor quality, I may have been safer with gas station sushi last night. After spending over $100 for a dinner, I just couldn't just not eat the sushi. I definitely suffered the consequences for my actions though… repeatedly. I would not rank myself as a sushi, connoisseur, but I am definitely a great admirer of the dish. If I wanted this quality of sushi, I could go to a South Sacramento all you can eat buffet for half the price. If I want to spend this much for dinner, I'd just as soon go up to Sky or Mikuni's instead. At least there I know the quality is going to match the $.It's sad to see such a once great establishment fall to its current status. My family won't be going back any time in the foreseeable future.

Pho Viet Anh - In Butterfield Plaza
9529 Folsom Blvd A, Sacramento, CA 95827, United States
I have so many good things to say about Pho Viet Anh. We were returning from Lake Tahoe after a full two days of skiing and wanted some good Vietnamese food before flying out of Sacramento Airport. What a great choice...not only is Pho such great comfort food after skiing and when traveling, but the service made the experience even better. The Restaurant was spacious, comfortable, and cozy. We loved the booth seating! We ordered Pho Tái and Crispy fried noodles with Beef. Pho broth was clear and savory, and so delicious. We love veggies so could have used more veggies and lemon but the taste really hit the spot. The Crispy fried noodles were perfectly prepared. Lots of tender beef, lots and veggies and the sauce was so delicious !Why I love Pho Viet Anh even more and will return every time we are in Sacramento is because of the owners/staff.Service was friendly, fast and so warm. Even though they were closing soon within 15mins of our arrival, they happily seated us, patiently served us and even told us not to rush. I complimented their house chili oil and house garlic shrimp sauce and he gave us two little sauce containers to go.Finally, I realized the next day, after we flew home from the US that I had lost my pouch with credit card and money. Called the next day and they found it in the booth where we sat. They transfered me all my cash, even refused to keep some as a token of thanks, and mailed me my cards.Good people exist here at Pho Viet Anh. They are angels in my opinion. The delicious food is bonus!!

Kru Contemporary Japanese Cuisine
3135 Folsom Blvd, Sacramento, CA 95816, United States
On Thursday, January 11, we visited Kru/Contemporary Japanese Cuisine in Sacramento. Drawn by its promising reviews and higher-end pricing, we had expectations of a quality dining experience. Our reservation was made well in advance, with limited time slots available, a sign of the restaurants anticipated busyness.Upon our arrival, the restaurant was indeed bustling, filled to capacity both at the tables and the bar. Our order comprised Sapporo, a cocktail, and a rainbow roll, a standard benchmark we use to assess sushi establishments. However, the service immediately fell short of our expectations. We experienced a significant delay in receiving our first roll, and the wait for our simple drinks orders was even longer. This was particularly frustrating, as we sat looking at our sushi, unable to enjoy it as we had intended with our beverages. The food itself was underwhelming. The soft shell crab hand roll was tasteless, with burnt and tough tempura. Though these early issues marred our experience, we remained hopeful for an improvement. However, as the restaurant gradually emptied, our waiter seemed to forget about us. Thankfully, another server was more attentive and assisted us multiple times. Our frustration eventually necessitated a conversation with the manager, who was apologetic and offered us a gift card as compensation.Given the restaurants booking system, they should have a clear idea of how busy they will be and thus staff accordingly. Yet, the service suggested otherwise. Our next visit was today, for a takeout order using the gift card. We were again inconvenienced by the restaurant's policy against phone orders. The wait for our order, placed in person, was an unwelcome 25 minutes, especially with a child waiting with us.To add to the disappointment, our simple request for extra ginger and wasabi was overlooked, indicating a lack of attention to customer service details. In summary, despite its upscale pretensions, Kru/Contemporary Japanese Cuisines service and food quality are average, with limited variety for a Japanese restaurant. Considering our experiences, we cannot recommend this establishment. Or, we strongly recommend NOT going there.

Thai On Tap
194 Blue Ravine Rd #120, Folsom, CA 95630, United States
This is a great Asian fusion style restaurant. Everything we had was amazing. Great atmosphere, and they have a very large beer tap selection. I was very happy to stumble on this place, and I will definitely be back!

Aphotic
816 Folsom St, San Francisco, CA 94107, United States
If youre looking for an amazing dining experience look no further. Aphotic is going to be the hot spot as soon as the right people discover it. Be that person today and do yourself a favor! The ambiance of Aphotic is dreamy, dark walls and gentle light make you feel like youve entered the aquatic layer the restaurant is named after. From the flooring to the tall ceilings this restaurant is on brand. Amazing fish hang and cure in fridge sized dry agers. Various huge fish bones and driftwood adorn the room. Stop at the bar and grab a beautifully crafted cocktail and enjoy a house distilled spirit. The wall of liquor is gently lit and dazzling.Move to the chefs counter in front of the wood burning grill and oven for a beautiful show. Watch the chefs as they plate gorgeous dishes and cook over open flame. Enjoy the delicate and incredibly thin glassware. Prepare for awesome and interesting plateware, you are in for a journey. The tasting menu here is the star of course, but get the wine pairing with it! The wines compliment the food to a surprising degree. Clearly the sommelier knows what they are doing. With 7,000 bottles to choose from Im sure the task is no easy one. They execute this feat brilliantly. The food is equally exciting and each bite followed the prior with grace and variety. Everything was layered and complex while still being understandable and fun. The balance of the meal on a whole is miraculous. I am usually wary of wine pairings as I can end up a bit drunk. And with tasting menus its hard to fill but not over stuff a guest. Or worse, have your guest leaving still hungry. Neither of these concerns were of issue! I havent had a meal so well balanced since Osteria Francescana! And having eaten at Manresa before their closing days as a reference I thought Aphotics menu was more creative and the ambiance more of what youd expect for 3 michelin stars. In short Aphotic will be on this level no doubt at this trajectory. I left full and light after enjoying what may be the best meal Ive ever experienced. You are here because someone told you about Aphotic, or perhaps you read an article about them. Maybe you even happened to stumble upon this restaurant while looking for something exciting. You have found it. This is your next meal and I assure you, you will be pleased. Take the dive and enjoy the bounty.
