B & K Asian Kitchen

We came here with the intention of supporting a local business and we love Thai food! Its a good size restaurant, small tables, and really busy during lunch hour! The waiter who helped us was super awesome. He helped us learn more about the traditions and how to pronounce the names, loved that he was so passionate about sharing his culture with us. My friend and I both ordered the Kow Poun (pronounced Cow Poon). It came out within about 5 minutes. I didnt have to add any seasoning or sauce because it was extremely flavorful! Im salivating just trying to describe it. It was slightly spicy, but not too much, it added to the taste just perfectly. The chicken was nicely shredded. It was so good, I didnt even talk much. My senses were all occupied by the delicious blend so many herbs and spices. I ate it so fast that the soup was still steaming by the time I was done. I would definitely love to try their other dishes. My only gripe is the limited and awkward parking lot. My suggestion would be to park on the curb adjacent to the restaurant if you dont want to deal with the parking lot. Highly recommend the food and wonderful services.

Ive reviewed so many places and I never imagined ever having to write one like this. If I could give no stars I would because myself and my family were basically told to leave. We were a party of 12. Quietly entered and told we could pull the tables together so we did. We sat and we waited and the lady took her time coming to talk to us. She said we either order family style meals or she cant service us. She kept repeating we should go eat somewhere else.... My brother was trying to be sure she was asking us to leave. I finally told my brother Im not interested in eating somewhere where if we stay I dont know what theyll do to our food. This whole ordeal took about 30 minutes. The people that were eating there also acted strange.... The man sitting behind us asked his wife if she wanted to go somewhere else. Another lady at another table kept shaking her head at us.... Her face red clearly bothered. It was just an awkward and uncomfortable feeling. Obviously they didnt care for us to spend our money there or not and made it extremely uncomfortable I would definitely not recommend this place to anyone.
Bulldoc Korean Fusion Cuisine

Ok . I have always wanted to try this spot when it first opened. Just didnt have the time to come around it . Have tried banchan in elk grove before so I knew it was similar . We got the combo meal half soy garlic (best one) and the other half thai spicy something because they were out of the one we originally wanted. Seasoned fries (bomb ) coleslaw ( ehhh)Everything looked great and yummy until our waitress brought out our rice . ?? I could already tell it was soo undercooked . My hubby ate it didnt say anything until I took a bite and told him its so under . U can see the white middle part of the grain. Just told the waitress that its under cooked, she then just brought out a new one and again still under . Lol we just didnt eat it . (Eating undercooked rice is not good for you can cause food poisoning)The bulldoc chicken w/ ttobokki only had 6 pieces of rice cake?? 6? And diced up chicken?? Really.. thats soo odd. But I guess thats how the restuarant does it . But the place was ok .. the hype wasnt there tonight I guess. But the best thing was just the seasoned fries and the soy garlic (just wish it was a bit more flavored . It kinda light on taste wise . )Will have to come back and try the jjajangmyon and the other stuffAnd update .

Bombay Pizza

I have never given such low ratings to any business, but if there was an option to give zero star I wouldn't have hesitated…. The owner, Randip Singh Bajwa is extremely rude and racist …. He got offended when I asked him which paneer pizza was the most popular, he said all his pizzas are good, I ordered masala curry paneer pizza and oven baked samosas, then when I went to pick my order, I asked him after paying that if samosas are house made, he became very angry, I just couldn't get what was his issue, he could've politely said that they are house made, as he claims to be ….. then I took some pics and he came to yell at me that why I was taking pics, I told him that I always take pics to leave a review, there's a way to let the customer know that please don't take pics but saying that he saw me in his camera while he was making pizza, was very outrageous. This man seriously needs to see a psychiatrist. Because no business owner comes up with such an attitude and behavior towards the first time coming customer. He also told me that he can refund my money and cancel the order, I heard him couple times then I said ok fine refund my money or just keep the money and I can leave, then he said that he made the order already, I mean really …. Anyway coming to pizza, it was alright but no where close to our favorite curry pizza though both places, prices are similar . I regretted going to this place first and now last time
Seor Aji Peruvian Kitchen
6701 N Milburn Ave #130, Fresno, CA 93722, United States
Sr. Aji, if you do not cook authentic Peruvian food, please stop to call it Peruvian and rename it as the world gourmet restaurant or a gourmet restaurant only, or the creation of the Peruvian chef.Is this Ok that the owners wife answers a constructive comment with a rude attitude? Is Taco Bell authentic Mexican food? Is Panda a true Chinese Foof? El Senor Aji IS NOT an authentic Peruvian food!! It is not recommendable if you want to say: I know what Peruvian food is. No, No, No! Like any other ordinary gourmet restaurant, this restaurant tries to copy different international flavors or ingredients to become unique. However, those experiments are unknown and not acceptable for the Peruvian kitchen. Please be sure that I am trying to be nice with my review.Lomo saltado with sugar? Really? First, IT IS NOT A PERUVIAN STYLE. Second, sugar is the worst commercial element to addict consumers and is used in other countries except for Peru. Third, it is unhealthy. Fourth, If you are looking for recognition for your style, stop to change the traditional Peruvian food. If you are looking for pride and your recognized name as a chef, do not sacrifice the excellent reputation of Peruvian food. If you want to change it is Ok, but do not betray the Peruvian food. Adding sugar to the Lomo saltado with a sauce is wrong. In Peru, we do not combine beef and sugar ever.Cebiche with glazed sweet potatoes? What? Who? In what region do peruvian people add a sweet glaze with a weird flavor of cinnamon or clove to the cebiche dish? It is horrible!!!!Is this nice to hide ingredients for restaurant clients? According to the FDA, we need to know what we are eating. I asked about the new weird flavors, but the restaurant owners wife Denied all. Later she said that the chef did not release it. When I approached the counter to complete my payment? (About #100 plus tips) The owners wife was rude, including body communication. She said: Dont worry as a way of sarcasm. The second time I asked if they had a new chef due to the new flavors. I returned to pick up my wife without the energy to tolerate a disrespected relationship. NO! I am not returning to this place. In the beginning, they suggested the last table near the restroom even when the table next to the window was open. It is an old trick. They should offer the best table. Why the last in a small and isolated corner?I have tasted the food before, and it was something better. The waiter is just an employee trying to do her best. Therefore, I paid tips.I have been a resident of Fresno for the last 30 years. I am a genuine citizen of Lima exposed to the best Peruvian kitchen. In addition, due to my profession, I have worked and visited all regions and towns of Peru. I love food and know how one dish may change its flavor when cooked in other areas.I am not saying that it is a bad restaurant. I am saying that it is not an authentic Peruvian restaurant. Regarding attitude, it is a personal problem that can be corrected with suitable training to improve client relationships. The following ideas may help hospitality management, the magic polite phrase: I am sorry, or we will talk about it with the owner/Chef; I will consider your questions. I will ask how we can release the ingredients of our food to keep our clients healthy. We care for you is the objective.
Ramen Hayashi Fresno
6443 N Riverside Dr Ste 101c, Fresno, CA 93722, United States
The atmosphere and service was good but its better that I review it in this way since I dont want my experience to be viewed as harshly negative.Spicy Miso soup: 14$ if I remember correctly-Spice level that doesnt hit you hard. So be sure to ask for more if you are getting this soup.-Chashu charred and easy to pull apart and flavorful-Egg was actually really nice and this place gives you both halfs-Menma good nice and soft mouth feel-Seaweed added to the broth and made it interesting otherwise it was missing spices or a little ramen pepper.-Corn I liked it but some hard pieces of cob were still in the soup but at least its fresh and had a good sweetness-Green onions were present-Noodles were possibly the weakest part of the soup and didnt have no bounce nor wavy to pick up the broth or much of the onions. The thickness was more on the thin side of things.-Final recommendation is to pick and choose the good parts of the soup while you eat otherwise it will be a flat experience.Yaki Ramen:Overall a good meal and has a good amount of ingredients throughout the dish. Most bites had a good sized shrimp in it larger than a quarter. The noodles stood up better as a pan fry and I dont know if they reuses this same noodle for the ramen but the cabbage and furikaki flakes were nice and refreshing. The sauce didnt distract from anything and added to the experience.Servers were nice and provided some extras and were very nice. They provided a good amount of extras to make the soup worthwhile. I think ? the only negative I could give is that they did check to see if we did get water from the self service machine twice.Bathrooms are spotless and nice ?Note: I only review dishes compared to other ramen places
Libelula
1154 Broadway St, Fresno, CA 93721, United States
My husband and I are visiting here long term and today was my second visit. The first was last week for lunch, which was pretty darn delicious. Mostly, the food today was good. This is a good location on the edge of downtown with easy access to metered street parking, and it seems like the chef/owner is wanting to make a name for himself in the Fresno food scene. We give high marks for the desire to bring good food to mediocre Fresno. This is a breakfast/lunch spot. The first order of the day when it comes to breakfast is coffee. The coffee was so weak it tasted like water. The second cup from a fresh pot was a little better, but also quite bitter. Honestly, they could do better with the coffee... Thats the huge profit maker in a restaurant so I dont understand why they dont A) offer better or more coffee options, and B) use a better quality coffee as a first offering to breakfast customers. The Eggs Benedict was passable - the poached eggs and hollandaise sauce were impeccably executed and on point, but the pork (or was it chicken??) was flavorless and tough to chew. Perhaps a marinade for the meat is in order if youre going to sub for traditional ham/Canadian bacon? It would be nice to have the choice to be gluten free. Glutino makes a nice GF English muffin that can be kept in the freezer until needed. (Just a suggestion to open the menu to more people who have food sensitivities.) Also, I find it odd that such nice presentations and flavor combinations met with an inability to make an over easy egg. The over easy eggs were ordered as a side to the bread pudding french toast, which was moist and tasty, but needed more flavor - cinnamon was way to light. The eggs were just plain rubbery. I mean, cmon, over easy eggs arent rocket science and if a truck stop can get them right - how much more so should one be able to execute them when charging such grandiose prices? I mean, Im not opposed to paying high prices for well executed meals. My husband and I are foodies and we dont cheat our stomachs so when we pay $60 for breakfast we expect to be more than just satisfied with it. We want to be able to rave about it. Another issue we had with this venue was the dirt. We get the concept of grunge meets downtown eclectic artists that Libelula seems to be shooting for. However, dirty walls and thick dirt and nasty fingerprint smears on the windows was a bit much. It didnt give a feeling that one could trust the cleanliness of the kitchen. One shouldnt have to question that when eating out.All in all, the presentation was amazing, the food could use better execution, the flavor combinations were good. We will give this place one more try and hope that the cleanliness has been addressed.
Hino Oishi

Donovan was the host taking down the names and contacts of the guests to put down on the wait list. There was one family ahead of me. I was told there would be a 10-15 minute wait for either the teppanyaki grill area or at a booth. I asked the host that if we sat at a booth, would we be able to have our food cooked on the grill. The host said yes, so we chose to sit at a booth. Upon Donovan getting ready to take us to the table, Donovan stated we would have to wait again, because my stroller would block the server from our table. The other female hostess offered me high chairs for my twins, and I informed her they are not yet sitting upright, so they will be unable to sit in the high chairs. There would have still been a path for the server to get through upon observation of the area if I kept my twins in their stroller, but Donovan insisted we go back to the waiting area and wait for another table. What was the difference between my stroller being on the end of the table vs. two high chairs? They took up the same amount of space. Donovan didn't want to sit us at the grill area either, because of my stroller for my twins. In the meantime, Donovan sat between 2-3 different parties that came in after my party, which had about 6 people in each group, before seating us.We finally were sat at a table toward the back of the restaurant. Doauchi was our server. I ordered their tapenyaki lunch special. My friend ordered double rice, and her daughter ordered the tofu and rice. All of which were from the teppanyaki options. When our food came out, we asked the waitress how it was prepared, as we were under the understanding that our food would be prepared on the grill, but instead was cooked in the kitchen. I informed Doauchi of my conversation with Donovan prior to being seated and she said she would check with him. When Doauchi came back to the table, she said Donovan said I was confused, and that the manager, Sendie said that it would be an additional 30 minute wait to have our food grilled. I wasn't given my drink until about the time I was packing my food to go to, so I had to put it in a to go cup. Doauchi also processed my friends bill and did not complete mine, although I had it ready before my friend had hers ready. She literally brought my friend back her receipt, said have a great rest of your day and did not return. Sendie the manager refused to give eye contact and refused to give us any service. I had to eventually flag down another waitress, so that they could process my payment, which delayed us being able to leave the restaurant. The manager Sendie was standing at the host area when we were leaving, and she made sure to not give eye contact, a smile, nor a friendly greeting such as “thanks for dining with us.” I also ordered a spider roll, and to my surprise when I got home to eat it, it had ice berg lettuce inside. I have not ever had lettuce in my sushi. It was disgusting.End of story, I am extremely disappointed in the manner I, my twins, and my friend was handled today. I am disappointed by the hostile energy from the staff mentioned. I'm disappointed in the lack of ownership from Donovan's confusion on the question I asked him, and in turn, Donavan having the host to come back to the table and telling me I was confused. I am disappointed that the manager did not come over and acknowledge the situation, and treated us like our business didn't matter. I am lastly disappointed in the way we were discriminated against.
