Wooga Sullungtang
1630 W Redondo Beach Blvd Ste#22, Gardena, CA 90247, United States
The overall taste of the food is good, but the portion is too small. I ordered cold noodles and seolleongtang and asked for a little more seolleongtang soup, but they charged extra. Other houses just gave it to me, but I thought it was too mean. If you behave rudely while selling food, customers will stop coming. Also, the amount of cold noodles is too small for an adult male to eat, so I wont order it next time. Why is there such a small amount? They may come for the taste of the food now, but I dont know if it will help in the long run. In the United States, if you want to sell food, you have to give them a lot of food so they can say they are full after eating to be successful... Moreover, it would be nice to run a business at a local grocery store and be generous. There are a lot of foreigners coming here, so it would be nice if they could do business without being told that Korean restaurants are rude. If you give a good impression to foreigners, wouldnt your impression of Koreans also improve? The service is always bright and nice to see, and I hope the food service follows suit.

Sat in parking lot trying to place a phone order No one answers then I go in and I'm waiting behind another lady for about 10 minutes NO look up to say “I'll be right with you” just standing then comes a young lady and man both hispanic from the back door he has in a hat and she walks in and didn't wash her damn hands.I am about to place a large order I asked the lady in front “ no phone orders she says “ I'm the only one here and I had nothing prepared” then the other comes up I ask is managers or owners her “ no” can I have the number “ you can find it online I don't even know it” this was horrible customer service either the owners need to come back or this place will close.Bad customer service would give no stars, and the lobby was dirty with the 5 there standing around and speaking in Spanish not professional I placed a small order and am thinking about returning that.
NAM Kitchen

As a first timer, my first impression upon entering the restaurant were:Wow the decor is very well done and the AC feels great in here.Immediately followed by:Why are there so many dirty tables? We came in on a Sunday, late afternoon. It took about 10-15 minutes for someone to grab our order. The Toast QR code/website for them doesnt work properly (yet?). Dont expect the super speedy service you might expect from a smaller mom and pop Vietnamese restaurant.Once we did get our two filet mignon pho bowls, we enjoyed the broth, the healthy portions of noodles, generous accoutrements, and overall flavor.I do believe this place is new so theyre working out staffing and flow. There were tables still requiring bussing as we left the restaurant. An hour or so of dirty dishes sitting on multiple tables. Our server was short and rushed. There were spilled sprouts that he left on the ground next to us for half the meal (about 15 minutes). To a first timer, it makes me question the overall cleanliness of the restaurant (and its kitchen).I hope that this establishment can get its service in order as it matures. Though the food was great, we are left a little less than satisfied with the service. I believe it betrays how well they designed the space and the quality of their food.Im hoping to revisit this place sometime in the future and if the service element improves, I will update my rating for this restaurant.

I like this place. The food is good. There is a little bit of everything. From award winning chili to Japanese food. If you eat at the restaurant (outdoor patio open) the sourdough bread you get before the meal is delicious. I like getting the Prime Rib, only served on Fridays right now. The side of somen salad is a favorite of mine. My wife loves the bento box meals. They are a good deal with a variety of foods. The owner is a really nice person too. Support small business and eat here.UPDATE - After coming for Take Out many times. We just ate here for the first time inside for the first time since COVID. It was a Friday night and it was kind of busy. Ther were a couple of large groups. Not sure if this is normal but I was happy to see there were customers at this small business. I might call and make a reservation next time. Otherwise I would be willing to eat on the patio. Friday nights are Prime Rib night so I got it. It was delicious. It comes with cream corn, their delicious somen salad, and choice of baked potato, mashed potatoes or rice. I got the baked potato but theres no bad choice. The service was great asI remembered. Please come enjoy a meal her.
Spoon House Bakery and Restaurant
1601 W Redondo Beach Blvd, Gardena, CA 90247, United States
Spoon House did it again! I have been going to spoon house since 1995.Every time I bring a friend or a family member, no matter where they are from, they all loved spoon house and said will return again. I recently brought my sister who was visiting from Taiwan and her family there. Guess what? They liked it and we did go back again on the way to the airport.Their freshly baked bread ? was always perfect, crunch in the outside and soft in the middle. The one dollar salad I ordered back in 1995 is still an one dollar salad, even after COVID inflation, amazing! I do appreciate they try to keep the salad simple and the price the same. This way, I can enjoy the salad and still have the room in my stomach and my wallet to enjoy more food and drinks.I looooove their ice tea! They have syrup at each table for the tea. I know, too much sugar is not good for you but I just love it especially with the thin sliced of ?. The iced cold tea, with a hint of lemon and perfectly mixed sugar on a hot summer day is absolutely perfect. The problem I have each time when I visit was the decisions, decisions and decisions. After the amazing churchy crusted bread, the delicious ice tea, and the tasty salad, I only have so much room for a main course but I have a few favorites there. The decision was always hard.I like the open kitchen setting! You can see the staff as they preparing your dishes. I love seeding what's been prepared and served. But, that also could cause problems in the future! I want to try more dishes!!!!!The staff was very friendly and service was quick. They are quick on refilling the drinks or water. The chefs are also very nice and their skills are mad!Our go to dishes are:No. 1 Meat sauce with the variations of eggs and bacon or Weinger.No. 4 clam sauce (they have other variations too but I enjoy the standard one)Hot garlic, it may looks plain with the peppers but it packs with flavors.Shrimp, vegetables, and ? bacon (with bacon well done)Spaghetti omelet with bacon, and yes, well done.I didn't take any pictures this time because I was too hungry but you can find plenty of pictures from my past reviews or from other reviews. There are no shortage of the deliciousness from Spoon House.
Jidaiya Ramen Dining
18537 S Western Ave, Gardena, CA 90248, United States
Food was good at first but the waitresses seemed upset if I didnt have extra money to tip her. Couple times Ive been there she always seems to chase me out the door asking for a tip.not that the food was bad at all I just dont have a buck extra for tip. And today was the last day I go visit because for each time I took a bite off of my gyoza, the waiter was laughing each time and made me feel they probably spat my food....not sure... and while dining the cooks and the waiters and waitress seem to mumble behind the register we dont like you hahaha. They were good food at first but today the broth was salty, not much flavor like other times, and the supervisor didnt understand that I couldnt tip most of the time as I believe the tip is buying their food...making that drive to the ramen spot. But felt very uncomfortable. They follow a policy where you MUST tip and if you dont then the food was not great in their minds........this used to be the spot to come eat ramen, but after I kept getting chased out of the restaurant made me not visit much due to the harassment of not tipping (sometimes I tip and sometimes I dont). The supervisors said that if were not going to tip they have the right to refuse service and that just made me sad that how can they force their customers to tip if they dont have it? In the end they make me feel like a bad person not to leave a tip when I dont even have it for myself x( so they officially banned us from eating their ramen due to no tip....sad sad sad... and the cooks...after leaving the cooks screamed out as if they knew the whole problem with us, so of course I have that feeling my food probably was spat since I go there whenever I have 25 bucks to waste...theres my tip...sorry I couldnt give more...
Gardena Bowl Coffee Shop

My family took me here for the first time only because of the photos and the comments they saw on social media. I can honestly say we were all disappointed because its NOT even that great! You can make it better at home than the people at this restaurant. Not only we got crappy service from the Asian lady that took our order but her obvious face wasnt friendly. She never ask us what kind of drinks we wanted??? She just had the Hispanic guy come out and bring us 8 cups of water that went to waste because I had to stand up and go to the front of the counter to ask for soft drinks for everyone and when I asked why did she serve us water that we didnt ask for and she just had a dumb look on her face. Their French toast sucks! Their burgers are not all that great. My kids said the only thing that was good was their fried rice. Everything else sucks. IHOP or Denny is way better. Food didnt taste fresh. We wasted $80 at this wannabe Hawaiian café. I was going to be nice and tip her but I changed my mind because of her rude stinky attitude. She looked at us like she didnt want us there because we came in with kids...SMH
Kanpachi sushi and sake
18220 S Western Ave, Gardena, CA 90248, United States
Amazing experience!! This used to be sennari sushi, and for the most part it still is. A lot of the staff are the same. The overall decor hasnt changed, but if you have been here before, there was a lot of little changes that when added up, really made for great things!! If you never went to sennari before, this was definitely one of the best sushi restaurants in South bay, and with the new owners and the little changes this place is even better!! Sit at the bar with Takei-san for amazing customer service and interaction. If you have a great experience, make sure to buy him a beer!!

My daughter and I found this place and tried it on a whim. WOW!!!! Now, I have spent a good amount of time in multiple Asian countries and I myself went to a Japanese culinary school. I happen to own and operate multiple restaurants too. This place is easy to miss as its hidden in a small complex. With only a few tables and not much decor, this is exactly what a homey Korean place is supposed to be. Its all about the food. We were greeted and told to sit (all in Korean) and we looked at the menu on the wall. My daughter and I ordered some Black Sausage, Goat Stew and Bulgogi Stew. Everything came out quick enough and we started to eat. And Eat! AND Eat!! AND EAT!!!Everything tasted wonderful. I love the boldness of good Korean food. Its right up in your face. The assortment of kimchee was very good and my Goat Stew was Fantastic. My daughter didnt say much as she was eating non-stop. We were checked on but really left to just enjoy what was presented. This place is on my radar now and I am absolutely returning. As a small restaurant owner I appreciate mom and pop shops. As a chef, I very much appreciate handcrafted food. Do yourself a favor, support this place. Your palate will thank you.
