Kickin KAsian
9545 Reseda Blvd, Northridge, CA 91324, United States
My friend and I came here with our wives to grab dinner. We never been here before but my friend wife loves seafood so we were willing to try it. I read the restrauant review first and saw they get really busy but has a waitlist to help out. So when we were nearby I asked my wife to put us on the waitlist and it said the wait would be about 25 minutes. We found parking easily in the plaza the restrauant is in because we came at 5:40pm on a Tuesday night. We got seated at 6pm and the place inside is not that big but it was almost packed. They had a VIP menu for Tuesday only so it worked out for us. I went with their 4pc chicken wings, I asked for 2 order first and ask for the kasian spice and lemon pepper at medium spicy. I also asked for the Cajun fries as well which everything was delicious. I prefer the lemon pepper spice so I got 3 more orders of the chicken wings. My wife got the topless shrimp with the kasian spice and medium spicy. She loved her shrimp bag with the added corn and mushroom. My friend got their chicken tender and his wife got the crab. The service we received was amazing by Coby, he was very attentive with our table and kept checking in with us. They charge a small fee if you need gloves so be aware.
Hot Wok Cafe
9135 Reseda Blvd, Northridge, CA 91324, United States
I've been coming to hot wok Café for almost 8 years and in Those eight years there have been birthdays, graduation parties, lunches with friends, dinner dates with mom and family dinners so it saddens me today to leave a negative review. Today upon walking in we weren't even greeted, just very rudely asked how many. I'm not sure if he was confused or if there was a language barrier but he proceeded in asking us how many 4 more times in a condescending tone After each one of us answered How many in our party he reluctantly seats us, It's almost as if he was messing with us. Being distracted he only took two drink orders and left to the back upon hearing new customers he quickly runs over and Welcomes them. Staring in our direction I can see them talking and pointing at our table. He then walks over and tells us we have to move to another table To accommodate his new customers I'm not sure if they were his friends or family but keep in mind the restaurant was empty and all of the other tables were available. Being obvious that my mother is disabled (she's in a wheelchair) Disheartened I asked you really want me to move my disabled mother to a different table even though we were here first and she was already settled in? And in a malicious tone he said yes Enabling this behavior one of the new customers said Yes!!! we need the table. My mother feeling embarrassed already wanted to go to a different restaurant, she has been through a lot and doesn't deserve this type of discrimination. Not sure if there's favoritism here But it's something I simply will not Tolerate! I will not be spending my hard earned money at this restaurant anymore. There are plenty of businesses that are happy to do so!
WaBa Grill
18427 Nordhoff St, Northridge, CA 91325, United States
During my recent visit to the Northridge Csun Waba Grill, I had the pleasure of being served by Emily, who truly made my dining experience unforgettable. From the moment I walked in, Emily greeted me with a warm and welcoming smile, making me feel right at home. What stood out to me the most was her extensive knowledge of the menu. She was incredibly insightful, providing detailed explanations of the dishes, which made it so much easier for me to make a decision. Not only was Emily knowledgeable, but her recommendations were spot on. She suggested a few of her favorites, and I decided to give them a try. I was absolutely delighted with my choices; the flavors were exceptional, and I could tell that her suggestions were made with my preferences in mind. Its not often you come across someone who takes the time to deliver such personalized service. I'll be coming back for sure!
WaBa Grill
8420 Balboa Blvd Ste #113, Northridge, CA 91325, United States
I haven't been to WaBa grill in a while and I don't think I will come back based on my experience today. I was at the gym so decided to get a rice and veggie bowl for lunch since it's next door to LA fitness 8 ordered extra chicken which totaled this bowl to be $16.93…when I arrived my food wasn't ready so I observed a bit while waiting. There was cooked chicken just sitting on a cutting board in the back which okay maybe that's what they do.When I received my bowl I questioned whether the amount of chicken was extra based off what I paid for. The person at the register asked and I heard the guy in the back say “yeah yeah” to his question about it being extra meat… well you all take a look at the photo if that is double meat then A regular order would've been half of that? Absolutely not work $17 at all. If I didn't have to get back to work I would've took it back. Either way I won't be back here, I'll stick to my other healthy food lunch spot in Northridge.
Mee Dee Thai Kitchen (Northridge)

Went at 6pm on a Tuesday to-go. No line, the food hall had several people in it but plenty of open seats. Got the green curry chicken slider and curry puff. The slider was great just wish it was wetter, either from the slaw or the curry aioli. Aioli on the side would've been great too, I wish I asked. Curry puff was good too! Sweeter than I expected. Also thought there would be more curry in that too. Nonetheless both are delicious. Next time I'd ask for extra aioli or pair those dishes with a curry/soup.

Bounce Boba Lounge
9545 Reseda Blvd #17, Northridge, CA 91324, United States
This a great place to hang out and catch up with friends. It is one of the good boba places in the SF Valley. My favorite drink here is the Almond Milk Tea Boba. So delicious! I also like to add egg pudding/custard sometimes. They also have great little snacks. I like getting the combo because you can get two portions plus get a free regular sized boba as well. (Drinks that dont qualify for free are 50% off) I like their popcorn chicken a lot. I have also tried their squid balls and thought they were good. Be careful when ordering spicy.I always get my food spicy everywhere I go or even very spicy, but they actually make their stuff here pretty spicy! My squid balls were actually a lot spicer than I thought they would be, but they were delicious nonetheless! They also have little games you can play such as Jenga and some card games. Wifi is free as well. There are a good amount of tables as well as comfy furniture to sit on. Great music. A nice and fun place to hang out with good company. Kickin Kasian is next door so a lot of people like to eat there and get their dessert here afterwards.

MGD Korean BBQ
9350 Corbin Ave, Northridge, CA 91324, United States
MGD knows its audience and plays to its strengths to carve out its niche in the KBBQ scene. The most unusual item on the menu is the tortilla (ask for the taco kit to get salsa, cilantro, onions, and tortillas all together). Dont forget to grill the tortillas like we did! We appreciated the hefty size of the tortillas, but we think street taco sized tortillas would have been better to match the size of radish or rice paper. The salsa was basic but yummy. The veggies were fresh! While this item might seem blasphemous, the viral TikTok fad of patrons bringing their own tortillas to KBBQ is certainly nothing to scoff at. MGD has realized the opportunity this fad presents and capitalized on it. We hope that MGD can continue to elevate their taco kits to keep me coming back.MGD certainly isnt all gimmick. They offer high quality meats and other dishes that certainly have their draw. The most unique item with the plainest name was the kimchi fried rice. This rice came on a cast iron plate with a scrambled egg backdrop surrounding the fried rice with a fried egg and furikake on top - unique in presentation and taste. The brisket and beef belly were by far my favorite meats they offered. We like to mix and match these two meats to get the balance of fattiness and meatiness - both were superb quality and so tender. The pork jowl was firm and al dente. The beef bulgogi was marinated well. The pork belly was sliced thin like bacon and crisped up nicely. The galbi, jumulleok, and MGD steak were not quite as yummy as the belly and brisket but were still of high quality. The japchae was unexpectedly cut up into small noodles, so its significantly easier to eat with a spoon for the chopsticks-challenged. The corn cheese came with a Mexican cheese blend. Sides - macaroni salad, really good fish cake, cucumber kimchi, corn potato salad, cabbage kimchi, salad. The rice paper was stacked a few inches high, just how we like it.MGD makes their tables highly modular by fueling their burners with gas canisters instead of gas lines, so tables can be moved around freely to mix and match parties - this freedom is superb and great for big parties! The seating wasnt crowded at all, so we didnt feel claustrophobic like at some other restaurants. The tables and floors were clean. We also got real plates and silverware, a real bonus it seems in these unprecedented times.Great outdoor seating, great food. Cant wait to return!
Yard House
9301 Tampa Ave Suite 216, Northridge, CA 91324, United States
I will never go again. The food was generic, to many fusion items, none done well. The service was mehh, the waitress was good though. I feel like the restaurant doesnt have any identity, maybe a fancier version of Applebees??? It it a bar, is it Mexican, is it Asian, American ??? Its BASIC, there are plenty of good restaurants in Los Angeles. Dont waste your Meal here...
Sushi KATSU-YA Northridge
9701 Reseda Blvd, Northridge, CA 91324, United States
Updated Post: Sorry Katsu-ya Reseda, I have to downgrade you guys by 1 star, last nights sashimi and sushi were really not up to what theyre used to be. Disappointed that the sashimi wasnt quite fresh and somethings off with the sushi rice, perhaps they changed the rice brand or may be its the cook, anyhow, its okay for the price i guess. But if you really want good sushi, visit the Studio City Katsuya instead. Quality of the reseda shop seems to be going downhill in my opinion. Happy Eating!Original Post: Great sushi & saki!!! Used to go to Studio City and Encino for Katsu-ya, but they opened one in Northridge, so we went for my daughters BD & everyone had a super delicious meal with some of the favorite sushi, blue fin tuna, yellow tail, albacore tune etc. The assembly dinner which consists of 8 different types of sashimi and sushi combo is fantastic, love the presentation. Dont forget the miso soup with clam, yum! Oh, they have excellent saki in a wooden box so u can drink that in a traditional Japanese way, very cool :)Service is good, suggest to make reservation first, even a weeknight could be crowded.
