Johnnys Pilipino Restaurant
10125 Rosecrans Ave, Bellflower, CA 90706, United States
WONDERFUL SERVICE! The food was exceptional, and it was very flavorful. The owner “Tito Johnny” was such as nice person, who treats you as you are apart of his family. I recommend to consider trying the sisig, goat caldareta, and lechon kawali. If you want, also try the lumpia ?. There's many other dishes which are excellent and I hope you try it plus enjoy it as well. The fellowship, Filipino ambiance etc. are all top tier! Love you, Tito Johnny! ???
Bom Bom Grill
15726 Woodruff Ave, Bellflower, CA 90706, United States
I saw this place has a high rating and decided to give it a try. I came with the family. Everything in the menu looked good. The one taking my order was super confusing to me. I didnt know if I should say maam or sir, but was helpful taking my order... My significant other went with the beef bom bom wrap, California tempura roll, my daughter with chicken udon noodles, I went with half chicken half beef fusion tacos, and got some bom bom balls for us to try out. Ok, so tacos were the least liked. Nothing exceptional stood out. Everything on the tacos was bland chicken was just ok, beef was just ok, teriyaki was hardly distinguishable, veggies were the most noted in the tacos, I wouldnt order them again. BomBom balls, which are fried rice balls with chicken or beef teriyaki inside, they were lacking flavor you could not taste anything but the fried rice and being that it was fried, the outside was hard af, felt like I was going to crack a tooth biting into fried hard rice, would not encourage to order them. Next, the chicken udon, nothing exceptional noodles, were tasteless, chicken was just there no seasoning, teriyaki was pale flavored, only thing you can barely taste were the veggies it had. I did get to try the bom bom wrap it was surprisingly good. You could actually taste some of the beef with some teriyaki, rice, and veggies. Best of all was the sushi good flavor. The spicy mayo gave it some type of flavor to make up for the weak teriyaki sauce they use. Overall, I wasnt impressed, 2 out of the 5 dishes were just ok. Good if Im being nice. I doubt Ill be back, maybe recommending just the sushi and the bom bom wrap... maybe.
Bai Plu Thai & Sushi Bar
2119 N Bellflower Blvd, Long Beach, CA 90815, United States
This place is inching towards 4 stars for me, but you always lose a star for putting Thai food with Sushi. While I understand the business need to diversify, I dont understand the obsession with Asian restaurants (especially Thai for some reason) adding sushi to a menu, to me it is a sign of inauthenticity and it will usually show up in the quality of the food. So, with that said, Bai Plu has a decent curry, and a good happy hour. It also has free delivery and uses eat24 on yelp which is very useful. We live in the area and so if I dont have time to travel to a good Thai place (e.g. long beach Thai on Anaheim or elephant Thai on Long beach blvd.) Then we go here.
Kikyo Sushi
16610 Bellflower Blvd, Bellflower, CA 90706, United States
Kikyo Sushi Sake Bar has been a familiar spot for my family, and we used to visit at least 2-3 times a month. The restaurant offers a large array of dishes and the prices are quite reasonable. Tina, the owner, always greets us warmly and goes the extra mile to ensure our satisfaction, which has contributed to the positive experiences weve had in the past. However, our most recent visit on June 16th was an unfortunate one. Our server that day, Connie, displayed an uncharacteristic level of rudeness that left us feeling disheartened and never wanting to return. Despite being loyal customers, we were treated poorly. The incident occurred when we ordered vegetables for our kids, but instead, a fried tempura dish intended for another table was mistakenly brought to us. Assuming it was the vegetables we had requested, we began eating it. Shortly after, Connie removed the dish and aggressively pointed at my 6-year-old daughter, accusing her of eating someone elses food. This kind of behavior was completely uncalled for and unacceptable, leaving us feeling humiliated and uncomfortable. In response, we expressed our concerns to the two new male servers who were working that evening. To their credit, they were genuinely apologetic and tried to rectify the situation. However, the damage had been done, and the unpleasant encounter with Connie overshadowed the rest of the dining experience. We sincerely hope that the management takes our feedback seriously and addresses the situation appropriately. Unless there are measures taken to rectify this issue, my family and I will be exploring other dining options for our future outings.
WaBa Grill
15794 Bellflower Blvd, Bellflower, CA 90706, United States
Went in for a quick lunch and was mildly disappointed to have waited 15-20min for dry overyly cooked chicken that tasted as if had been previously cooked, set aside and re-heated. I would not purchase again from this particular establishment for this is the 3rd time this has happend. Perhaps that is their method of service, but I find it unreasonable. Other establishments serve freshly grilled chicken and freshly cooked sides and so can they. I will say that the dumplings & tofu were by far my favorite and would actually recommend because they tasted as if they were cooked to order, not sitting around. Of course their not handmade but still better than dried out burnt grilled chicken. Please work on a better quality brown rice, it too could use some work. It was also quite dry and hard.
Pho Mely

As a government official for the City of Downey I will never eat here again. Ill talk about food, service, and atmosphere. The soup base is good. The service is poor. They only greet you to have a seat, take your order, and when they deliver your food. Other then that they dont check to see if you need more napkins or if there is anything else you would like to order. I was sat down today the hostess placed one napkin on the table and then removed it. I figured they were going to provide a napkins when the food came out no big deal. When the food got placed on the table there was no Napkins. So I asked for napkins. They only provided one at least they could have given me two. Its soup what do you expect. To top it off I requested no onions in my soup well guess what I recieved onions. Instead of the guy taking my soup I just told him bring me a plate and I will take them off myself since Im allergic. Its not like I cant take them off myself. So he brought me the plate. Then I ask for limes because they only gave me two slices. I was ready to pay and they tell you your total and you pay. Little did I know they charge $0.50, I think its extremely petty they charge for condiments that would come with the pho soup. I hasnt didnt have much time to dispute the charge and question why because my lunch was over. I am letting it known here. Have them review your order before you pay. Never would I ever thought I would be charged for limes. If that was the case I should have told them to give me a discount for getting my order wrong. As far as atmosphere theres nothing special its a space with tables and chairs with some background music.
Best China Kitchen
17234 Downey Ave, Bellflower, CA 90706, United States
Amazing portions but thats all you can expect. Wont be going back there at all.. My girl and I both ordered the combo deal to go. We didnt open our plates until we got home and sat down to eat. As I ate, I found a hair in my food, unfortunately until it was already in my mouth, and was so grossed out I couldnt take another bite. My girl continued to eat her combo plate, but she found something even worse.. she found a piece of drywall in her food and discontinued to eat any more. I am not exaggerating and I mean this in the most literal way. Yes a piece of drywall. We will never be going back to this restaurant again, and because of our experience here, we stay away from chinese restaurants all together.
Panvimarn Thai Cuisine
4101 N Bellflower Blvd suite b & c, Long Beach, CA 90808, United States
The best Thai place in SoCal and NorCal! The food is always consistently good and the service is incredible for an Asian restaurant. I always order the Pad See-Ew, the flavors in this dish is perfect - just enough saltiness and sweetness. The owners are really nice and often come out to chat (the husband is the main chef and the wife is the hostess). The decor is not what you traditionally see at a Thai restaurant, its really zen like. This place gets really busy and they dont accept reservations on weekends, so go during off peak times. Oh and dont forget to try the money bags.
Pick Up Stix Fresh Asian Flavors
2090 N Bellflower Blvd Suite B, Long Beach, CA 90815, United States
Went here for dinner with my husband on a Sunday night for dinner. Service was okay, but after we bagged our leftovers up is when things took a very disgusting turn. When we were getting ready to leave we noticed 3 Giant cockroaches crawling across the front of their front counter. Meanless to say we threw our leftovers in the garbage. The manager on duty was afraid of the cockroaches we found and a male employee chased the cockroaches into the dining room area to kill them. We will not be returning as a result to this location. Insects only show up when proper cleaning is not being done, since cockroaches look for food sources before they start to infest. This location needs better pest management to avoid cockroach infestations.Update: The VP of Operations Ben reached out to us and made things right, by providing us with a full refund due to our bad experience.
Panda Express
15909 Bellflower Blvd, Bellflower, CA 90706, United States
I ordered my food to go I traveled back to my office only to find that there is no fork in the bag. I called the manager on duty and he informs me that the forks are by the soda machine I said I didnt order a drink why would I have gone by the soda machine? I told him I had to travel 10 minutes there and 10 minutes back to the office and would have to travel 10 minutes back to get a fork because they failed to put one in with my TO GO order. I asked him if there was anything he could do for me like a free drink or a discount on my next lunch? His response was no he wont do anything like that and that it was my fault for not knowing where they keep the forks. I told him I would call corporate and write a review he told me Go ahead I can do what I wantIf he would have been more compassionate or at least tried to make me happy I wouldnt be writing this review however this individual was so rude and matter of fact about the situation, he offered nothing to resolve the issue.I will now never eat at not only this Panda but at any Panda express as long as I shall live and I will tell everyone I know not to eat at that particular Panda and encourage them not to eat at any Panda. I actually got sick the last time I ate at Panda so that coupled with poor obnoxious service, Im done with them. There are a plethora of Chinese fast food restaurants I can eat at I dont need them thats for sure.
