Kabuki Japanese Restaurant
975 E Birch St K, Brea, CA 92821, United States
A close-by Asian style restaurant with reasonable pricing, plenty of seating and availability (no wait), and courteous staff. I did notice the patio area, especially under some of the tables could be cleaned more often and at some point, maybe a deep steam cleaning to remove dirt, grime, and dropped food material from the surface floor. I didnt dine indoors this time and didnt observe the indoor condition this time but Ive dined indoors here in past times and the place was clean and very acceptable. Just a note to Management that the outdoor dining area needs a little attention.
Capital Noodle Bar
3477 E Imperial Hwy, Brea, CA 92823, United States
Have you ever had something to eat a long time ago and you were like oh my god that was super amazing. Then you get back in town and you get it every place like that and you cannot replicate what you ate when you were on your business trip to the place she will never go back to, because you no longer have a client there. For years, I have had a taste in my mouth for a specific type of Asian food. I’ve gone to so many Asian restaurants just to be disappointed. For years, I have known capital noodle bar has been pretty much in my own backyard but I was hesitant to try it because it seems expensive and I didn’t want to dump more money into disappointment. Today I bit the bullet and my nine-year-old and I have lunch. oh my God where has this place been all my life? They are exactly what I’ve been craving for the past five years that haven’t been able to find anyone in Southern California to feed me what I’ve been wanting to eat. I am so glad I found this restaurant and will be back here many more times. Thank you so much capital noodle bar. I can’t wait to come eat here again.
Pho Ha
1619 E Imperial Hwy, Brea, CA 92821, United States
If I could give no stars I would. Have been here many times and will never go back. Really craving Pho and this place just ruined the experience. They are completely racist. Waiting almost an hour and still no food, but every other Asian that walked in got their food right away. Time after time the gal said she forgot our food. We have kids with us that are super hungry. Asked for the check because we were not going to wait another hour for food and they charged for pretty much everything. Will never return to this racist staffed restaurant and will not recommend this place to anyone either.
Ichiban
1015 E Imperial Hwy c3, Brea, CA 92821, United States
SUMMARY: Below-Average Quality and Portion at Above-Average Price. The Good:-Service - Friendly Waiters/Waitresses-Menu - Fairly wide selection of lunch specials on the menu. The Average:-Quality - Fish quality is average. Its not fishy but its bland. Probably fish is farm-raised, not caught in wild.-Authenticity - Menu and taste cater more to non-Asians. Taste tends to be on the sweeter and saltier side. Some people like this so I dont mark this as good or bad.The Bad:-Dishonesty - If you use coupons or Groupon deals, you will get much less portion and lower quality ingredients (cheaper fish, more batter than meat) than regular to make up for the discount. They will also try to upsell you on sides and extras like miso soup, additional rice, salad, etc. I understand food cost matters in restaurant business but the management shouldnt utilize coupons and promotions if they are not going to honor them.-Portion - Large plates but small portions. Fried chicken has more batter than chicken. Fish on sushi is not generous at all.-Price - Lunch special will run you around $15-$20 and dinner $20-$30 with tax. For similar price, there are many other Japanese restaurants with either more portion or higher quality.-Location - Sort of hidden and hard to see from the streets.A big disappointment. We spent about $55 for lunch (3 people) and we wont be back again.
Red Lantern
746 N Brea Blvd, Brea, CA 92821, United States
We have been on the hunt for some excellent Chinese Food in OC, especially when Yen Ching started not being as great as it used to be.Thanks the the great referrals on Nextdoor, we have found a “gem” in Brea. The Red Lantern, located on the corner of Center St and Brea Blvd is AMAZING! Abby has taken care of us on 2 occasions (and 1 To Go order). The food is fresh, beautifully prepared and exceptionally delicious. Tonight we had the braised green beans in an excellent sauce. We also enjoyed Beef Chow Fun (Abby's suggestion), Sesame Chicken, Crispy Beef and edamame. I can honestly say that each dish was so good! My two new favorites are the green beans and the Chow Fun.Abby served up some fresh, hot red bean sesame balls for a sweet treat. Oh my gosh, so wonderful!I was imagining a group of Placentian's (from Nextdoor) going there and taking the place over one evening!I almost didn't write anything because I wanted to keep this place secret, but knowing how sweet these people are and the quality of their food, they deserve to have everyone try them out.Have a great evening !
Kura Revolving Sushi Bar
1065 Brea Mall Suite 2050A, Brea, CA 92821, United States
When you step through the doors of Kura Revolving Sushi, the delightful novelty of the revolving belt system immediately pulls you into the atmosphere, but its the food that keeps you coming back. The convenience of checking in on their app before arriving at adds a seamless touch to the dining experience, saving time and ensuring a smooth entry into the restaurant. No more waiting around; just arrive and enjoy! My personal favorites are the seared beef and the wagyu beef nigiri, each slice of meat is tender and succulent, and theres just something about the balance of flavors that really pops. I also find myself quite partial to the cream cheese unagi nigiri. The sweetness of the eel paired with the creaminess of the cheese is a flavor duo that I wasnt expecting to love, but now I cant get enough of it.Kura doesnt skimp on the dessert either. The freshly fried donut that comes paired with ice cream was such a treat. The donut was warm and fluffy, providing a comforting contrast to the cold, creamy ice cream.Adding to the charm of the experience is the plate counter, which tallies up your selections as you go, and the fact that most plates are just $2.50. Its a simple touch, but one that definitely adds to the overall enjoyment of the experience.Theres something undeniably cool about seeing my order shoot down the belt and arrive right in front of me at Kura Revolving Sushi. But having the option to order on demand adds a personalized touch and allows me to discover hidden gems that arent on the revolving belt. Its like a treasure hunt for delicious surprises! What truly keeps my partner and me coming back are those limited time offer dishes. The thrill of trying something new each visit keeps the dining experience fresh and exciting. Each visit to Kura Revolving Sushi feels like a new experience, which is a rare gem to find at this price. In essence, Kura Revolving Sushi offers a unique blend of technological novelty, exceptional food quality, and a dining atmosphere that is both delicious and engaging. Its a place we look forward to returning to time and time again. Give it a try, I assure you it wont disappoint!
Panda Express
2158 Brea Mall, Brea, CA 92821, United States
The worst customer service is right here at this place. If you are the Brea Mall pick something else instead of this people who dont even smile at Their customers. The cashier Jamie does not know how to provide customer service at all. She did not offer any soy sauce and when I asked her she was very lazy to give them to us, and I asked her again for water with no Ice and I can se tension was building up in her face . She was not saying a word which means she was not happy to serve us. Very rude and I dont how the owner could hire them and rely on these people to grow their business.
Panda Express
101 W Imperial Hwy G, Brea, CA 92821, United States
These guys just dont get it. Every time I go here or order online, something ends up wrong. They are the new McDonalds of Brea. To be a little more clear: There are always missing items or I just cant get a normal, accurate order. Today, I ordered online and part of my order was a bottled sprite. The sprite was hot. It wasnt even cold just a little. Its like it was sitting in a hot stock room. I think the problem with this store, other than competence, is that they ONLy focus on hurrying. They should start by focusing on efficiency. All they do is hurry hurry hurry so of course service wont be sincere or accurate. Laslty, McDonalds hasnt missed an item for me in a long time lol. Thats where you guys are. Think about that.
Kenkotsu Ramen
2445 E Imperial Hwy K, Brea, CA 92821, United States
My family and I had the pleasure of dining at Kenkotsu Ramen in Brea for lunch today, and it was a delightful experience from start to finish. We kicked off our meal with the spicy edamame, fried calamari, and cucumber appetizers, all of which were fresh and flavorful. As for the main event, we tried the spicy miso ramen, soyu ramen, and black ramen, and each bowl exceeded our expectations. The flavors were rich and authentic, and the noodles had the perfect texture. Whether you're a fan of spicy or prefer something more traditional, Kenkotsu Ramen has something for everyone. The service was prompt and friendly, adding to the overall enjoyable atmosphere. Needless to say, we're already planning our next visit. If you're in Brea and craving delicious ramen, Kenkotsu Ramen is the place to be!
Meshuga 4 Sushi
526 N La Brea Ave, Los Angeles, CA 90036, United States
2 things: 1) Every time Ive been there, there is a black worker in the back who is being harassed and put down. The other employees are mean and rude and repeatedly tell him hes too slow. Its hostile and very uncomfortable as a customer to witness. I cant imagine how difficult it must be for the worker to experience it.2) I was picking up an order for a friends fathers memorial service and I when I arrived, I told the girl at the front counter the name on the order, and she told me it would be ready in 5-10 min. Fast forward 30min; the restaurant is now closed, I ask about the order for the 4th time and the girl at the counter says What order? Theres no order here for you. Were closed. Why have you been telling me for the last 30 min that my order would be ready soon? I dont know. I guess I was confused. Maybe its at the other location. She didnt offer to contact the other location, and worst of all she didnt even apologize. Ultimately my order was at a different restaurant, but an efficient functioning business would figure that out before telling me they had it and then making me wait 30 min. to discover that oops, they dont have it .
