Tai Yuan Seafood Restaurant
King Plaza Center, 950 King Dr #100, Daly City, CA 94015, United States
After calling other restaurants in the area most said they were closed. When I called this restaurant they answered and I asked if they were open. Whomever answered said they were. I asked another question and they hung up on me. That should have been my clue.I order 5 items. One of them being garlic spinach. They said they have lettuce. I said I wanted garlic spinach again and the man said yes we have spinach. Not a dish they normally make. I said just put the spinach in a pan and add garlic. ? Eel was an item I asked for but never got. Got home with the food and realized they didnt include the eel.I waited 45 minutes. The taste of the food was just as disappointing!! The pork fried rice was bland. I think Rice a Roni would have more flavor. The walnut prawns were actually the same as other restaurants. So I paid $87 for 4 items because they charged whatever the wanted. Pot stickers, garlic spinach, pork fried rice, and walnut prawns. If you are not Asian go to Tams in Pacifica. The food is excellent and yes, the prices are just as expensive as this restaurant but with good food!!
Thai Power Restaurant
6057 Mission St #2007, Daly City, CA 94014, United States
This restaurant is misrepresenting themselves and overcharging customers. To All the potential people wanting to eat at this restaurant: Beware:My husband and I came to this restaurant on 3/3/16 around 8 pm. We used Google search to find a Thai Restaurant close to where my husband works, and found the restaurant Thai Power. When we arrived, we noticed they had Karaoke and it was very loud. We noticed the restaurant was filled with patrons. When we sat down, we waited a long time to get serviced, but no one really came to our table. I had to go to the bar to ask for menus. The lady behind the bar gave us 2 menus and we went back to our table. As I looked at the menu, I noticed that it was Filipino food and some of the menu was in the language of Tagalog. I got up to give the menus back to the bartender, and explained that I thought this was a Thai Restaurant, and that I wanted Thai Menus. She took the menus back and gave us 2 different menus and this time, they were in English and it was Thai food. Here is where we have problems with this whole situation. After the female bartender gave me the menus, she immediately said, I want to let you know that these menus (Thai) are old. We dont have the ability to make some of the items on this menu and the prices are incorrect. We havent received the new menus yet, but we will have to charge you at least $1 or more more for any of the items that you order providing you order something that we makeI was surprised to actually hear this from her. I went back to the table with my husband, and we made a decision not to eat in the restaurant anymore. We gave the menus back and we walked out.I feel that we should have not been treated this way.Although we dont have a problem with Filipinos or their food, it is not why we came to the restaurant, to eat Filipino food. If you give a Thai menu, the restaurant should be cooking all of the Thai Food in addition to Filipino food. Finally, we should feel welcome in the restaurant and not be told that we have to pay $1 more per item because the menus are old. Please note***Other people have written poor reviews similar to ours in Yelp Revews
Mekeni Restaurant
6339 Mission St, Daly City, CA 94014, United States
Mekeni Restaurant & Karaoke Bar is your typical turo-turo Filipino restaurant in Daly City. In addition to the steam table operation it also has an all-day made to order breakfast menu (Silog). Unlike other turo-turo places Mekeni is a decent sized restaurant. Ive been here about half a dozen times for lunch and each time have found it to be about half full which Ive taken as a good sign. It is located on Mission in an area where finding parking would be impossible during weekdays but its not too difficult to find a spot in the lot just ahead of the restaurant on weekends. The dishes in the steam table operation rotate but they always seem to have at-least one Chicken item (adobo, caldereta etc.) so I stick to getting a one item combo to-go ($5). They always try to push the chicken BBQ when I ask for chicken but unlike Fil-Am where you can see them freshly grill the BBQ behind the counter, Im not sure of the freshness of the BBQ at Mekeni so I generally avoid that. The taste of the food can be described as authentic, which means that it comes certified to give you a heart attack at 60 if you eat this every day, but its fine for once a week that I restrict myself to. Price-wise its about 10% more expensive than Fil-Am the other turo-turo place that I generally rotate with Mekeni. I like the food here better but pick Mekeni for the freshly grilled BBQ. The only drawback that I can think of is that they dont seem to have any beef items on the weekends but that is a minor problem that will not prevent me from coming back periodically.
golden moon restaurant

Came on a Saturday at 1: 45 PM. Waiter came to us asap took our drinks. Wait time on food was excellent ordered 5 dishes first came at 4 minutes then last dish came at 8 mins. Every minute our food came ! Food was delicious maybe the best Chinese food Ive ever had and this is my first time to come here. Waiter girl checked up on us in the middle half way eatinf if the food was okay. When we were done eating, without asking her for take out boxes she gave us few boxes to put the food in. Time save and she knows what were thinking! She wasnt rushing us or anything they were 2 people eating in there. We ate in for 30 mins she picked up our empty plates and gave her a generous tip. She was prompt, very timely well mannered at our dining service and friendly. The food was bomb I cant get over how tasty that was ! Each dish was omg.

Panda Express
701 Westlake Center, Daly City, CA 94015, United States
Typical Americanized Chinese Food. Its overall tasty food for being fast food, specially the Orange Chicken which is the staple choice for most plates. The food is a bit pricey for the amount you get, especially for bigger guys like me. The place is clean and just like in the majority of their chain restaurants features servers who are of Asian descent with an open kitchen featuring cooks of Hispanic descent (which I find quite interesting to say the least). Definitely recommend it to someone who is looking for a change from the typical burgers and fries.-Carlos
Gateway Kitchen
6165 Mission St, Daly City, CA 94014, United States
Ive only had Filipino a handful of times before (if you dont count the more than handful of times Ive had adobo), so I dont really have a baseline for what constitutes good or authentic Filipino food. That said, Ive been told from friends much more familiar with it that its, well, basically what Gateway serves: heavily seasoned, sweet, salty, greasy, meaty dishes.Doesnt sound particularly appetizing? Well, it wasnt bad, but I feel like the high ratings given here are for similar reasons to the ones given at places like HRD in SF: for the price, youre getting a TON of food. So, more for value and quantity than quality. My friend and I ordered their tocino and longanisa plates, and while they werent particularly impressive or offsetting, I cant say I was a huge fan of how sweet and greasy everything was. And the fact that the food came out lukewarm.Could I see myself coming back again? Maybe. If I did, itd definitely be as a to-go order, so I could take it home and remake with some more salt, spice, and, most importantly, heat. Because hot food should be eaten hot.***Accessibility Info***Venue - This restaurant is definitely on the tinier side, so when things get busy, youll find yourself a little cramped for space while ordering. Some of the tables are arranged in such a way that theyre either not accessible, or would inconvenience other people if used, but there are a handful that arent problematic. Again though, youre better off taking your food to go.Bathroom - Didnt check them out.

Tomo Sushi & Teriyaki
1901 Junipero Serra Blvd # G, Daly City, CA 94014, United States
Delicious food, excellent service, reasonable pricing.Roughly as cost effective as take out. I order a pretty big portion (2 entrees) and my partner orders a lot of sides (typically 4 or 5 and takes some home). After this, two large beers, and refillable iced tea, we were looking at an $80 bill before gratuity. Typically were looking at around $100 before gratuity. The staff there also, very evidently, work together as a team. We didnt have just one waiter/waitress, but instead 3 were assigned to the area which made the wait times between beverage refills (something thats important to me) virtually negligible. I wish more restaurants followed this model. It definitely puts the customer experience first while still efficiently freeing up tables.Take into account as well that the restaurant is next door to the movie theater, and this makes a great night out.
Panda Express
86 Serramonte Center #703, Daly City, CA 94015, United States
I go to Panda Express from time to time I have gone to the one at Serramonte Mall In Daly City, Ca a few times. Each time, the cashier at the end of the transaction will ask me if I want to donate to some charity. I, like many people, do not like to be put on the spot like that. I always answer, NO I WISH NOT TO DONATE. Asking for a donation at a food place is, I feel, inappropriate. In such a situation, people feel pressured unneccassarily to donate because they do not want to come across as a scrooge, or an uncaring person. Panda Express shouldnt put me in that predicament. But I answer no because it is an inappropriate place to ask for a donation. I would only donate to charity if I know that 100% of the money goes to the charity, and only at an appropriate time and place. Have a nice day.I do like the food . So I gave 4 stars.
