Peacock Indian Cuisine
6608 Dublin Blvd, Dublin, CA 94568, United States
We had Horribly Bad experience for the dinner on weekend with the group of 9 of adults and kids. Some of the glimpses below:• After placing the order, we asked one menu to be kept on table as we wanted to check more options. Manager stressed that keep only one and he almost pulled the menu card from a kid who was reading it. Not a good way from him to order the kid to return the menu card and almost snatching.• After having one round of chapatis and rice, we wanted to order some more chapatis and rice items and asked Manager to take order, to which he was surprised and asked us back do you want to order NOW ? Do you really want to order NOW ? - what is the issue with him if we order any food item at any given point of time of our meal, we can eat anything, of any amount, at any time of our meal.• Finally, we asked for bill and we got the food bill based on our order. Gave him card to transact and to our surprise he transacted by adding 18% gratuity, without even informing us anything about extra charge. When asked Manager the reason about extra charge, he said rudely that they forgot to add the gratuity in the bill earlier which they should have added, but now you have to pay. He did not even apologies or said sorry, not even informed us before transaction that the charges has to be applied. He simply took yyy amount bill and transacted yyy + 18% and started arguing that we have to pay that, which our whole group was not happy about, not at all a good behavior with guests at the restaurant. I finally had it removed from him only and asked him to transact only yyy amount. My point was, why the amount was not informed before transaction, why did he take us for granted for gratuity and why he argued with us when it was his fault. Huffff…No more Peacock restaurant for me and my friends for sure. With such experience, it does not matter the quality of the food, but my personal feeling, the food quality / taste is not so great, it is not out of the world. Food taste and quality is average...
Mao Izakaya & Sushi
7222 Regional St, Dublin, CA 94568, United States
I hate to break the streak of 5 stars, and perhaps we went on an off day. But service was slow and lacking. Everyone seemed too busy and too flustered to afford a smile or any type of extra friendliness. We arrived at 5:30pm and they were busy but not full. We were seated right away and given menus. It took about 10 mins to flag someone down to ask for water/tea (took another 10 mins to get the water and tea). And then we had to flag someone down to ask if we could order. That someone had to find another someone to come and take our order.During the time that we waited, we noticed the wait staff make several mistakes at our neighboring tables. Twice, they dropped off a dish that the table didnt order, so it got taken back (or maybe to the actual table that ordered it?) And another table had to call someone over to dispute a dish on their receipt. Our food came one at a time. Presentation was nice. We had to ask for soy sauce. Sashimi was fresh. The rice on the rolls were a bit mushy. When we ordered, we asked to keep a menu so we could order more food later, since we couldnt tell portion sizes. Well, no one came by to see how we were doing at any point, so after waiting around once we finished off our food, we decided we had had enough waiting. Had to flag someone down for the bill.We werent quite full so ended up across the parking lot to get boba and ice cream.I realize they just opened and are still getting the hang of things. So maybe well try again on a less busy day and time. But for now, it was a meh dinner.
Fresh Millions Restaurant Dublin
6599 Dublin Blvd Suite #F, Dublin, CA 94568, United States
Server was extremely rude when asked simple questions as politely as possible. Furthermore,1) They charged us for 48oz Salad but gave us 32oz Servings .2) Charged for Protein but did not add any protein in the design your own Salad.3) When confronted about the mistakes they made, they acted as if I am stupid and I don't know what I am talking about.4) No forks or napkins supplied.5) Portion is half empty in Cesar Salad, even for a 32oz. Laughable pinch of cheese sprinkled over the salad.6) Server did not co-operate when confronted about 48oz charge but 32oz served. Did not offer or agree to fix the total charge nor apologized. What a joke of a place. Never again, you have been warned. Absolute rip off. Leaving 1 star because I have no other choice. Disgusted about how we were treated.
Panda Express
6851 Amador Plaza Rd Space 101, Dublin, CA 94568, United States
First panda express where I experienced rude/short tempered service. First was when I asked for mixed vegetables in place of rice or chew mein. The person taking my order gave me this look as if she was confused. Then she gave me one level scoop of angus steak. Not used to that coming from panda express normally where Im from (los angeles) its a heaping scoop. But whatever I guess thats fine Bejing beef was un-notable. But there was a couple in front of me ordering for a whole family. Normally again from home they would move my order to the front so Im not waiting for the larger order to finish. But again whatever I can wait my turn. But when I asked for military discount a different server gave me another look (of annoyance as if she was bothered I asked for one) then she said with a tone. No discount so I figure ok maybe its just something local to my home. But I just looked it up and yeah. Apparently panda express as a business gives 10% to military, fire, ems or police. Service goes along way for me hopefully the food isnt as dry as it looks. 2nd star is benefits of the doubt the food is still good.
Amakara
7568 Dublin Blvd, Dublin, CA 94568, United States
The atmosphere at Amakara is immmaculate with an upscale cocktail bar esque decor. Now when we first arrived we kind of had trouble finding parking because I guess its on the corner of the street and the only place you can actually park to eat is across the street at the shopping center. Which is okay. Not terrible but definitely not ease of access, especially for someone going there for their first time, if we werent sooo hungry, we probably would have just turned back around the way we came and gone to the other sushi place with a parking spot.Alas after quite a bit of a wait because of a shift change. When we finally got our food everything we was actually fantastic. We had dragon rolls caterpillar rolls, cold soba noodles, chashu ramen, chicken teriyaki, Calamari and chicken kaarage.I will say if youve been to certain sushi restaurants and you know what Im talking about, this is one of the establishments that does like to incorporate more cucumber into their rolls. So if its a texture kind of thing for you with your food, I would pay attention to that and let your server know beforehand that you would prefer the rolls without cucumber. With that being said. Everything we received was absolutely delicious. Chicken karaage was a standout because of how crispy it was fried. Now this may be too fried for other people but for me it was absolutely perfect. The perfect blend of tenderness, crispiness and juiciness to fill your mouth with joy.TLDR; needs a better obvious parking situation.Great atmosphereFantastic food..Eat at AmakaraItadakimasu!
Khyber Pass Kabob
7479 Village Pkwy, Dublin, CA 94568, United States
Late one Friday night we were redirected us to Khyber Pass. Our original intention was to head down to Fremont to an Afghani restaurant known for good food and terrible service. But Khyber Pass was such a breath of fresh air, and beat the rest of the well known Afghani restaurants hands down in every category.Service - Gotta start here because the service was so good we were almost laughing. We had been used to other Afghani restaurants waitresses avoiding eye contact and forcing you to have to run them down just to get your order taken. Tonight at Khyber Pass we had three different people ask if our order was taken (just to be sure), bread brought promptly, and water glasses constantly refilled. Our waitress Katrina (blond hair) after hearing it was out first time at KB gave us numerous thoughtful suggestions. When we mentioned how much we enjoyed her suggested appetizer of Mantu (Afghan styled dumplings, stuffed with ground beef, onions and spices, topped with yoghurt sauce and split peas) and that we were going to save some for our son, she ran back to the kitchen and brought us another order in a take-out box.... for free! Seriously?! Later after the restaurant closed at 9:30 numerous latecomers headed out obviously disappointed. We saw the manager run back out to the parking lot and invite them all in to eat. We stayed chatting with the owner Sultana and the wait staff until 11:00. Quite the family feeling which was a nice change of pace.Food - Excellent in every way. I ordered the Beef Tikka Kabob with tri -tip that was well marinated and perfectly charred. Many kebobs can be dry and tough but these were moist and tender with a flavorful seasoning. My wife ordered the Quabili Pallow with a lightly seasoned lamb just falling off the shank, and the blend of raisin and carrots adding just the right amount of sweetness to the browned basmati rice.Ambiance - Clean and nicely decorated with a raised group seating area in the back. KB is in an old strip mall, but parking is plentiful and the seating comfortable.Owner - Sultana and her husband and family (niece is the bubbly waitress with the big smile) keep this restaurant feeling family owned without being too cliquish. When Sultana heard that it was our first time, she pulled up a chair and said we had to try a dessert she just made called Firni (Afghan pudding with milk, rosewater, cardamom, slices of almonds, and pistachios). Note that this is AFTER we already paid our bill! She meven suggested some nice hot teas to go with the Firni and gestured over to Katrina to bring some our way. Though we were full the home made dessert and tea was a great way to finish off the meal. Dont expect to get free stuff like we did, but expect to be treated like royalty.Khyber Pass will now be one of our East bay go-to restaurants, and justly deserves all the Yelp 5-star ratings.
The Banana Garden
4100 Grafton St, Dublin, CA 94568, United States
Banana Garden Dublin is a restaurant that offers a mix of Asian cuisine, with a focus on Malaysian food. While the food is good, the overall experience of dining at Banana Garden leaves a lot to be desired. The ambiance of the main dining area is lacking, with a somewhat sterile feel that does not add to the dining experience. However, if youre able to snag one of the private areas, the ambiance is much better and more intimate. The staff at Banana Garden Dublin are not very courteous, which can make for an unpleasant dining experience. Its important for restaurant staff to make diners feel welcome and attended to, but unfortunately, that is not the case at Banana Garden. The food itself is definitely the highlight of the restaurant. The menu offers a wide variety of dishes, all of which are delicious and expertly prepared. However, the prices are a bit on the expensive side, which may be a deterrent for some diners. In summary, while the food at Banana Garden Dublin is definitely worth trying, the overall dining experience leaves something to be desired. If you can get one of the private areas and dont mind the prices, its worth a visit, but otherwise, you may want to consider other options.
BurmaBurma
7294 San Ramon Rd, Dublin, CA 94568, United States
This is pretty good for south Asian cuisine restaurants in the SF Bay Area, however it just cant beat the food Ive had in Las Vegas (not on The Strip, but a place for locals). The food is ok for the price.
Cafe Tazza
4584 Dublin Blvd, Dublin, CA 94568, United States
Oh my goodness. how can i explain. this is the experience we had for the last 2 visits. So I have to write a review. We all got very upset with this shop in the recent days and decided to move out of this choice in the future. This used to be a our preferred quick shop for snacks and dinner. But not any more.Delay Delay in order:We ordered for 1 paneer puff, 1 Pav bhaaji, 1 dahi poori. And it took more than 45 minutes for a dine-in order. Do you believe it?Dahi sev poori will normally take not even 5 minutes and pav bhaaji wont take even 10 minutes. But safely they put a notice that our order will take 30 minutes time. Knowing how much time which dish will take it is ridiculous to wait for more than 45 minutes. We also tried ordering online and pick up so we can save time. The funny thing is they start the order only when you go in person and tell them about the order. which mean you still need to wait for your pickup.Food Quality:Ok even after 45 minutes we thought ok we got the food, but it turns out that the pav was old... and the poori in the dahi poori was having a smell like old poori. we can hardly see the dahi in the dahi poori. they used to be good but we all felt they are not good anymore. There are better place to dine-in around this restaurant. Sorry Cafe Tazza.
Relo Vietnamese Sandwich and Coffee
7323 Village Pkwy, Dublin, CA 94568, United States
After searching for something comparable to the best Banh Mi Ive tried, Relos has come close to this feat.Relos offers a delightful Banh Mi experience! While it may not surpass the taste of Cam Huong in Union City, Relos certainly holds its own in the realm of Vietnamese sandwiches.I ordered the Cold Cut (#1) and the Grilled Pork (#2), as well as the Banana Latte. The Banh Mi here provides a harmonious blend of flavors, leaving a lasting impression on the palate. One standout feature is the bread - soft yet with a satisfying crunch, elevating the overall texture of the sandwich. This attention to detail in the breads consistency adds to the enjoyment of every bite. It leaves a lasting impression, compelling me to return for more. The Banana latte was interesting at first, but it left me wanting to drink more and more with every sip.The Owner, Linh, is very friendly and holds tremendous pride in his shop. He has gained another customer for sure! Thank you for all your insight during my time there. In conclusion, if youre craving a Banh Mi experience that comes close to the best, Relos is a worthy contender. With its flavorful offerings and enticing bread, its a destination worth revisiting time and time again.
