Noodle St.
2323 E Chapman Ave Ste B, Fullerton, CA 92831, United States
Fullerton, California.I havent tried everything on the menu yet... Only bout half the stuff cause its that good. The noodles can be enjoyed during summer yet the soups are soooo nice on these cold winter days/nights.Service: C. Its blah. Mix of either too busy, or cause its an Asian place.Food: I dont know the restaurants official terminology so I just made my own. Hope my descriptions are legible.Pancakes: A. Had the plain jane pancake and the beef version. The plain or green onion pancakes needs the hot sauce. The beef roll is perfect. Its deceptively filling so portion carefully.Chicken Wing: A. Came with five pieces. These were tasty. Its similar to Yoshinoyas wings without so much salty sauce.Dumpling/Bun/Man Doo: C.Pork bun aka wang man doo was no different than the packaged stuff from any Korean market. The buns were steamed but my experience resembles a microwaved bun.Pork dumpling aka man doo is same as above. Nothing special. Its a good filler.Fried Dumpling is the better option. If you prefer to have dumpling/bun with soup/noodles then I would go with the fried dumpling option.Beef/Chicken Soup w/ Standard and Fat Noodles (had these multiple times): B. The broth is overly salty for me. Adding ice or water to take some of the salty bitterness might be necessary. I learned later to request the less salty veggie broth. The meats have a good kick to them but the noodles in itself is special. All the fresh spinach with the spicy will clear the stuffiest of nostrils resulting to all smiles =)JJa JJang with Fat Noodles: A. I just had too. The fatter or thicker noodles are my preference and Korean spots dont offer this. Kudos to Noodle St for offering.Japanese Pork with Fat Noodle. C. This is not udon/ramyun (ramen). It has similar ingredients, but the broth is much more salty and the fat noodles provide a different experience. If you are a ramyun/udon fan then I wouldnt vie for this option.Veggie Soup. A. This is the first dish I tried and loved it. The veggie broth isnt as salty as the meat broth. The soup had a variety of veggies, but the mushroom flavor overpowers all the other veggies. The veggie soup isnt as filling as the meat based so would highly advise extra noodle or a peripheral dish such as the pancake. Dont quote me but I do not believe the broth is vegan... There was a good amount of meat oil/residue lingering at the top (look at pics).Sichuan Cold Noodles with skinny noodle: B. This reminded me of a korean cold soup called Nang Myun (or similar). This is the chewy noodles so I got it with skinny noodles out of Korean-Food conditioning. The broth was smooth on a warm fall evening without getting cramps in the jaw. The cucumber and spicy kick was refreshing.Location: NW Plaza on Chapman and State College. Behind Starbucks.Parking lot can be a challenge especially during standard meal times. Its easier to enjoy when CSUF is not in session.Decor/Interior: A. There is limited space. Its small and cozy but the decor is well placed and well lit. Its nice, and bright in there with clean windows all around.Overall: A/B. Aside from intangibles such as crowds, etc., Noodle Street provides an enjoyable experience with tasty & various meal options.Happy eatings my friends.
Grits Asian Fusion Restaurant & Pub
133 W Chapman Ave #102, Fullerton, CA 92832, United States
My experiences with Grits leave me wanting to give this place a one star, and sometimes, a five star rating.Expect a wait time, and not a short one. 30 minutes or more every time I have gone. Im sure if you arrive and are the first people there in the morning, there will still be a 30 minute wait. This is okay, its a popular place. Except every time I get seated, I look around and see empty tables. Why are they not filling the place? Im not sure the wait staff or kitchen can handle too many orders..Staff is always friendly and helpful, except for the one time. More about that later. They always seem to be rushing around and sweating. They work pretty hard. The wait time to get your food is surprisingly short, once you put in your order. Around 10 minutes. Which makes me wonder, why is there always a long wait time for this place? If the staff is moving quickly, and the food comes quick, people can be in and out faster, right? For the food, its amazing. Its the reason youve heard about this place and are trying it. The fried chicken is crispy and cooked perfectly, the waffles are flavorful and light, and the jalapeño grits, are just amazing. Except for the one time where the food wasnt great. This way many months ago, the girlfriend and I sat down to eat, after a long wait, and ordered right away. I dont remember what she had, but I do remember I ordered the Pork Belly Benny. It sounded good, and I couldnt wait to try it.Food comes, looks amazing. I go to dig in, and its barely warm, kind of cold in spots. Im hungry, and I hate to complain. But I realized the pork just isnt right. Its a bit under cooked. Should have been cooked to medium, but is medium rare to rare. It doesnt taste that good, and is ungodly chewy. Like chewing on a piece for 3 minutes and have to spit it back out. That doesnt seem like its proper pork belly.I decided to complain to the waiter, who was friendly up to this point. And he gets defensive and decides to argue with me that the pork is cooked right and it is not chewy. Huh? How does he know? Who argues with the customer on whether they like something? Isnt the right thing to do is apologize and offer to take it back, or make another dish? But instead, he argued with me that its made the way it should be... He had no other answer or solution for me.
Panda Express
1931 W Malvern Ave, Fullerton, CA 92833, United States
I've been coming to this location for years now since I live by it but I won't be coming here anymore the past times I've came they've failed to disappoint me with their customer service today I went in here to only leave angry the portions they serve is a misery unbelievable the lady that was serving was rude I noticed the lady ahead she gave a bigger portion for being the same race (ASIAN) I felt super discriminated as my turn came because I noticed the serve me a small portion I hate to bring race Into this but it's literally how it looked and felt I told the lady as I got rung up about what happened and she seemed so bothered about it the 3 people serving at the front, I know what is like to work in the food industry it's only fair for people to pay for what they get this location is the worst I'm not the one to ever leave a bad review but enough is enough. Please avoid coming to this location their service is awful and to be sincere I felt discriminated. Thank you for your awful customer and serving service I won't ever come here again.

I think for the quality and portions they give it’s definitely not worth the money, especially with so many restaurants in the area. If you like premium Asian fast food check out KPB Asian bistro in Fullerton on Euclid. There, the food is made to order and the portions are great for the cost. They also make their own chili oil that goes great with everything. ?
Whats Up Japanese Noodles
512 N State College Blvd, Fullerton, CA 92831, United States
Im a firm believer in the power of comfort food and Whats Up, with its bustling yet homey atmosphere, captures the essence of this beautifully. My partner and I managed to snag a couple of seats at the bar. Despite the high energy and numerous patrons, the staff were nothing short of attentive and efficient.I settled on the Ramen and Spicy Tuna Bowl lunch combo, while my partner opted for the Spicy Ramen and Gyoza lunch combo. The real standout was, without a doubt, the Spicy Tuna Bowl and the gyoza. With a generous lunch portion that justified its cost, this was a dish that balanced flavors with finesse. The tuna was tender, with the spice adding a kick that elevated it from good to great.Id be remiss if I didnt take a moment to appreciate the Gyoza. The skin had the ideal bite – a gratifying slight resistance that gave way to the luscious filling inside. As for the filling itself, it was flavor-packed and had a beautiful texture that made each bite an exciting experience. On the other hand, the Ramen, particularly the Tonkotsu Shoyu I ordered, was pleasant but the broth, though well-prepared, left me yearning for a richer flavor that never quite came. My partners Spicy Ramen and the Gyoza, however, carried their own with distinctive flavors and textures. In spite of my critique, our overall experience was a delightful one.The food, ambience, and service coalesced into an afternoon well spent. Would I return? Absolutely. Maybe next time the Ramen will rise up to the star power of the Spicy Tuna Bowl and Gyoza.
KPB Asian Bistro
233 N Euclid St, Fullerton, CA 92832, United States
What a great place for lunch! Best spot for Chinese food in Tustin. Their $12.99 lunch menu has a wide variety and each lunch entree comes with option of egg roll or potsticker, egg drop flower or hot and sour soup, and choice of rice, chow mein, or fresh sautéed vegetables. Everything our party of three tried was fantastic. I can't wait to come back and eat through their lunch menu that has over a dozen options. Wait staff was quick and attentive. Food came out fast, hot, fresh, and delicious. You could tell all ingredients are of the best quality. The orange chicken, especially, fried, just crispy, but not dried out inside. The Mongolian beef, lean and yet tender and not over cooked. Service was very attentive, but not hovering. And setting very comfortable and quiet, perfect for a business lunch or get together with friends. Seriously, quality of the food was right up there with PF Chang‘s, but not over the top pricing or crazy expensive décor. Definitely coming back with all my friends and family. You gotta try this place for lunch or dinner or cater your next office event. Great deal for the price.PS looked at lowest rated reviews and noticed they are from way before new ownership took over just six weeks ago, so you can completely discount the one and two star reviews.
Hoshi Sushi
1925 W Malvern Ave, Fullerton, CA 92833, United States
*CAME FOR THE AYCE, STAYED FOR THE DEALS!!*Seriously, this place has so much to offer.- Upon Yelp check-in, you get 10% off your check IF YOU PAY IN CASH! This is ONLY for dinner- Yelp elites get 20% off for a review + a free dessert- All Yelp members get a free ice cream with any review- Buy a bottled beer and get the second bottle for 99 cents!* PARKING *Its in a plaza so theres plenty of parking! Hoshi sushi is located next to Panda Express. Its nestled inside the plaza so that should make it easier to find.* AYCE MENU *Lots of specialty rolls! That makes me very, very happy. In addition to that, they have cut rolls, appetizers, and salads included in the AYCE menu. Some notable items include seaweed salad, calamari, chicken teriyaki, kalbi tacos, and baked mussels! Each specialty roll is priced at about $9.95 and upwards, so you already get a great value by ordering from AYCE! Pricing, by the way, is $20.95 for lunch and lunch ends at 3pm!* WHY THE RATING? *- It says on Yelp that you can make reservations but when I checked there was no availability for the next two and a half weeks. When we got there, the restaurant was relatively empty so Im not sure why they would falsely advertise completely booked dates... they lose a star for that!- Their service is TERRIBLE! I know its easy to just leave a table alone because theyre busy scarfing their plates down, but if we have to consistently flag the server down in order to get our menu set then thats just poor service. After the first round, our server just kept consistently forgetting parts of our order and I had to ask multiple times in order to receive them.--Overall, I would recommend coming here but just keep in mind that I came on a fairly slow day and had very slow service. The sushi is pretty good, though! And I do love free green tea ice cream, hehe.
Orange Roll & Sushi
311 N Euclid St, Fullerton, CA 92832, United States
I have eaten here many times over the years. It has always been decent - good quality food. Not any more. This last time will absolutely be our last. The spicy tuna in my handroll and 2 of the sushi rolls we ordered was so extremely salty that it made it entirely inedible. I had used the soy packets they included and first thought those were the culprit so I threw that sauce out and used a low sodium one we have in the fridge. Same problem. Just taking a bite of the spicy tuna alone was proof that it was the culprit. It was not the spice that was the issue, the tuna was not really very spicy. It was just plain extreme saltiness that made your entire mouth salty for an hour afterwards. Its like it was caustic. It was completely inedible. The sashimi and the other roll which did not contain the spicy tuna were fine.I have eaten california rolls from 7-11 before. I have had everything from grocery store sushi to fancy restaurants costing hundreds of dollars. I have never before had any sushi that tasted so bad I refused to eat it. This was hands down the worst sushi I have ever tasted. We ordered through DoorDash, but I called them up to see if they wanted to make it right before just getting a refund of the order through DoorDash. Nope. They did not care one bit. They even hung up on me. If thats how they treat you after having the nerve to try and serve food like this, they will never get another dime from me.
Panda Express
501 N State College Blvd, Fullerton, CA 92831, United States
Ive been going to this Panda Express for over 4 years and Ive rarely had anything less than a positive experience. The food isnt award-winning but its as good as any other Panda Express. If youre unlucky enough to have to wait on an item, you get a free drink which is great. The employees are always exceptionally friendly and attentive here. My only real complaint is that, in the past, Ive seen the manager get into heated arguments with the staff that were awkward and felt inappropriate to be dealt with out on the floor where the customers are. Also I wish there was a way to tell if their Peach Green Tea was in stock before ordering a drink because its the only thing I can tolerate from there and its very disheartening to pay $2 for a cup and them be completely out.
Flame Broiler
1000 W Commonwealth Ave, Fullerton, CA 92833, United States
This is the remake. I asked for all white chicken with brown rice n veggies but got all black chicken instead. I live like 15 mins away but went back cuz it was legit all burned tasted like smoke. The first time they know they burned it and threw some away cuz the bowl had like super little chicken. didnt do anything about it. The 2nd time still came out some black chicken. I think Im gonna go to Chipotle now instead. The girl and the manager are nice but the chefs need to stop burning the chicken. Vegetables were super soggy from too much boiling too. Also there were no veggies and it seemed like they mixed up the veggies from the previous bowl instead of making it all over lol. I get i came late but thats unprofessional ! I come here everyday and dont expect Starbucks customer service but I dont think I will be back lolThey burned a lot of my other bowls too but this time I call it quits ....Goodbye flame broiler after 10 + years of eating it obsessivelyHello Chipotle ?
