Thai Spoon Restaurant
7750 Palm Ave, Highland, CA 92346, United States
Everything here is delicious. Food quality is amazing. Unlike other Asian restaurants, you can tell the quality of meat in their dishes. My favorites are the following but not limited to: Pad See Ew beef, drunken noodles, drunken fried rice (you can request how spicy you want), pepper steak. And if youre in the mood for dessert and if they havent sold out, try the mango sticky rice!

Shintaro Sushi and Japanese Restaurant
1900 N Highland Ave #5, Los Angeles, CA 90068, United States
I used to visit this place often, I mean often, did I say often and today I was greeted by a rude women serving lunch. When I walked inside @1:35pm showed her my card to be seated and she said we close in 15min. I asked her do they close at 2:30pm. She replied yes but you have to hurry, dont give me an attitude, I can refuse service, I replied excuse me she shook her head and said no I dont want to talk to you. I was taken back quite surprised I have NEVER received this type of greeting here as if we are not living in enough challenging times where treating customers as Human Beings dont even matter. I will NEVER refer another person here again this was a place where I once felt welcomed & called my sushi home. Watch who you leave in charge of your business family or not. Being Rude & Disrespectful in intolerable & unnecessary..

Panda Express
27720 Base Line St, Highland, CA 92346, United States
Im done with Panda Express. 1. For almost $9, I expect a human sized portion, not a kids menu plate. Give me a break. 2. Ive come to the conclusion that if you dont go inside, but through the drive thru, your portion will be a kid size portion. 3. Eaten a few times in the past at this specific location, and have told my family that the chow mein is dry, as is the fried rice. Against my better judgement, I agreed to another visit. My kid drove through the drive thru, brought the food home. Yup, just like before the chow mein and the fried rice were dry, and the portions ridiculously small. Poor reviews on your own site, and Google say to go in, and not through the drive thru if you want to not get ripped off. The drive thru portion is just small, and terrible. Im finished/done with Panda Express. By the way, the chicken was very good. Will my little ($27.00 total) family order make a difference to them? Probably not. I shouldnt have to wait till I get home to discover poor service. There are many authentic Chinese food joints that dont charge $9 (or close to it) for a real adult portioned meal. Dont expect any good recommendations from me, but I will definitely recommend not patronizing this place.

I Love Sushi
7750 Palm Ave, Highland, CA 92346, United States
I give this restaurant 2 1/2 stars actually, and it would be less than that if it wasnt for the sushi chefs preparing the food. I have a lot to say about this place, but Im going to keep it as short as I can. ( Lunch buffet all you can eat is around 21.99 plus tax. ) I think my biggest problem was with the wait staff and the condescending attitude she displayed the other small concerns can be fixed. My experience went as follows: asked for a bottle of water and was told no restaurant has bottles of water asked for pepper shaker was told we dont have a need for salt and pepper shakers here and finally i wanted to be able to order separately from my guest and was made to order from the one order sheet and was told cmon you know how this worksAs you read these statements in your mind you have to keep in mind that the person saying these things is making bewildered looks on there face as if you just tried to order a big mac from a sushi restaurant. If you are able to accommodate a customer then do so, if not just say you cant... Its thats simple. And to be honest, simple requests were difficult for the wait staff. I asked for an empty cup with a saucer of lemon slices and stated that I will just get a bottle of water from the car, she bought back a cup full of ice with one lemon slice, REALLY! I did however try to justify spending $45 plus dollars for two people at this place by eating as much as I could but honestly the food was not that appeasing. The better items on the menu were Xd out for lunch because they were considered dinner items and the entire sashimi section was crossed out. All in all I rebelled at the end, my usual 5 dollar tip was only 4 dollars, take that I love sushi (lol). In short, I cant recommend this restaurant.

Stopped in on our way to Big Bear. My husband and I wanted a quick bite to eat that wasnt typical fast food faire. This was a pleasant surprise as we had never heard of this franchise let alone have eaten in one. It was definitely refreshing to see the healthier offerings on the menu, and no one asking do you want fries with that?I had a chicken bowl with rice and vegetables, my husband had the steak bowl. Both of us enjoyed our food. The wait wasnt too long. The food was well cooked and seasoned, and most importantly it didnt sit in our guts like a big stone when we were done. The restaurant itself was clean and kept up. Tables were wiped down and nothing was waiting on the chair to attach itself to the bottom of my pants. Will be putting this franchise on our list of places to look out for when were out and about.

Panda Express

The food is pretty good. The atmosphere is good, too. My personal favorite is the plate of chow mein, honey-walnut shrimp, and sweet fire chicken. Last time I was here, I also tried the steak and shrimp. I didnt expect that there would be potatoes in the mix and was honestly disappointed at how little shrimp I found in the said entree. Overall, however, I would say that Panda Express is fairly satisfying and is certainly among the most popular Asian restaurant chains in America.

First of all I was really looking forward to having lunch at this location today. I walked in, needed to use the restroom and as I like to have clean hands when I eat I asked for the restroom to be open so that I could relieve myself before ordering as I had to go pretty bad. The employees refused stating that I had to order first before they would open up the restroom. I explained of my need to go pretty badly but the guy at the counter would not relent. I could understand this policy if I were a dirty homeless person that wasnt going to order food, but here I am a person dressed in a uniform at lunchtime about to order lunch in your otherwise empty dining room. You guys must not need my business so I walked over to Pollo Loco. I was welcome to use their restroom before I ordered and then I dropped nearly twenty dollars on lunch. I then proceeded to return to the Waba location waiting to speak to some sort of manager because I was hoping that the manager could use this as a teaching experience for the people that work the counter that perhaps they should use some discretion when someone needs to use the restroom. The two people in the back told me they dont speak English. Then when the guy at the front counter came back I asked for the manager. He then made a phone call and spoke to the person that he said was the manager in Spanish land thats when it hit me. They didnt want to let me use the restroom because I do not speak Spanish. So he then told me that the manager said she was too busy to deal with me. Well then I guess I got my answer. Guess they dont need my money.

Worse Panda experience ever. Me and my fiancee had just got done with a very busy day and we didnt feel like cooking. We decided chinese food would be nice. Our usual place was closed already and I suggested panda express to which she was hesitant about going because she already didnt have a good opinion on it. I vouched and said its not too bad. We get there and ordered 3 plates. They were out of the shrimp and told us itd just be 6 minutes. Which isnt a big deal but while they were making our plates they were going back and forth with employees and asking us what we wanted while making another plate for who knows who because no one else was there. Overall the way they took the order was just all over the place and confusing. Then they rung us up and we still are waiting on the shrimp. So they told us to go wait outside because of their covid rules even though san diego is a red tier now and we were the only customers in the store. I never seen another restaurant have the only customers in the store wait outside. I told them I have my 2 year old daughter with me and I rather her stay inside because she can get sick outside at night in the cold. They said no you have to go outside. I told them ok well we will be in the red car (theres only like 2 cars in the parking lot) and then they said no we cant do that you have to wait outside by the tree. I couldnt believe it. I told my fiancee to take our little girl to the car and wait for me. This was ridiculous I use to work and manage fast food when I got out of high school and this was not how you treated customers. The employees were terrible but I think it falls on poor management too. It was also embarrassing when my fiancee already didnt have a good option on panda. Sadly we will no longer be eating here and probably at any panda express for that matter.

Hong Bao Kitchen

This restaurant is a far cry from what I have come to expect for a fine dining experience. The hostess, Kourtney, was one of the most uncouth and socially inept individual I have dealt in a long time. She has no concept of customer service, has zero people skills, very impolite, and has an overall unpleasant demeanor that is enough to kill ones appetite. Our waiter was okay, but the food was very overpriced for what you get. I would not recommend this restaurant. If you are looking for a fine dining experience to satisfy your Asian gastronomic taste buds, this is the last place you want to take your family. It was Valentines weekend and my wife and I were sorely disappointed with the one star experience, especially since we drove 45 mins to get there. We will never patronize this restaurant again. If this is the way this Kourtney hostess interacts with customers, this place aint gonna make it. Bad employees like this can break a business.

Dumplings are inconsistent here. Thats all I ever get. A quick little snack before work or after and its been good lately until the last two times Ive gone. Not sure if its a new person on the grill or just being lazy but as you see in the pictures its pretty bad.The dumplings sometimes have little pieces of char on them I usually just flick off which is fine. Lately theyve been consistent and clean and no need to. But the last two times Ive gone they were pretty bad. Like bad bad. Just after 2020 covid it was always bad but since have fixed the issue until recently again. Here Ill show you.As you see in the picture it looks like they were not on a clean grill and just dumped on the grill with old crusty crumbs still on it. Lots of burnt bits on the dumplings and to top it off a big Ole piece of burnt something was picked up from probably in a crevice of the grill where nothing gets cleaned and placed in the container for extra flavoring lol. Why do that? Just clean the grill and stop being lazy.
