If I could give it zero stars, I would. I have eaten in many Chinese restaurants across the country, since I love good Chinese food, and this is the worst one I have ever been in. First of all, we were completely ignored when we walked in. After standing there for a while, I went over to the counter and asked the woman if we could sit anywhere, and she begrudgingly said yes. No other information or welcoming words. We then sat for another 10-15 minutes, waiting for a server. I then got up again and walked over to the unwelcoming, mis emotional and angry woman behind the counter and asked if we needed to order at the counter, and she begrudgingly said yes again. Well, thanks for letting us know! I placed our order of General Tsos chicken and Kung Pao chicken (which was not easy since she barely spoke any English, and couldnt understand that we wanted green peppers with the General Tsos chicken). Well, after another good 20 minutes or so, she yelled 21 and I went to get the food at the counter, which of course was incorrect and not what I had ordered. She had green pepper beef in with the General Tsos chicken. She had not understood what was said, obviously. I took it anyway since we just wanted to get out of there at that point. The General Tsos Chicken and the Green Pepper beef were barely okay. Pretty bland but at least edible. But the Kung Pao chicken was horrible. I could barely recognize any of the meat being chicken and I basically left most of it. It was pieces of meat from something, but I couldnt tell what. It was not edible. I just ate the rice and most of the vegetables. Anyway, needless to say, were never coming back to this place, and I would recommend you do the same.
Soul of China
50855 Washington St #2-F, La Quinta, CA 92253, United States
The COVID pandemic has not been kind to this location. Their small footprint makes for a packed in location, so social distancing is tough.Even waiting for takeout is a chore. No patio, so that is not an option. This is a little storefront restaurant, buried in a shopping center that is just about dead, that offers really good food at a really reasonable price. It is small, maybe 20 or so tables, but the staff is always friendly and attentive, and overall the experience out strips the location. You can almost always get a table, they do a great deal of their business in take-out.We love their Lo Mein, and it can be had for less than $10. Recently took some friends their and we all had something different and all were happy with their meal. A real treat is the Honey Walnut Shrimp. A hearty serving of shrimp in a rich honey and mustard sauce with just enough sweet and just enough bite to satisfy. Its small and its friendly, and the food is good. No mixed drinks, the wine and beer offering are limited.Located in the center with the Old Town La Quinta Starbucks across from City Hall.
Panda Express

I want to commend the incredible night shift team for their outstanding service. Despite it being close to closing time, they greeted us with a positive attitude. After being disappointed by two other Panda locations that were out of white rice, we decided to try our luck at this location. To our surprise, they assured us that they still had white rice available. Even though they were busy preparing orange chicken, they didnt discourage us from ordering it. With utmost professionalism and a friendly demeanor, they convinced us to stay and prepared fresh orange chicken for us without any signs of inconvenience. They swiftly prepared our order, making our two kids extremely happy. I am truly grateful to your exceptional team for going above and beyond to ensure customer satisfaction. Special thanks to Dulce,Thank you!
MY THAI
46520 Washington St #3, La Quinta, CA 92253, United States
11-12-2020 Sat night, my wifes Bday. My wife and I Sat on the bar side, it was less busy than the main side. The bartender (also our waiter) was so rude to me, I thought I was on some joke TV special. (Candid camera came to mind). When he came to take our order, I started by saying, We would like to have.... I always order for the both of us because Thai food is usually served family style, for the whole table. He immediately turned his back to me and asked my wife for her order. I couldnt believe it! It was so bizarre and deliberately rude to me. So my wife did all the ordering. We ordered chic satay, tom kha kai pot, green Thai curry and Pad Thai. He treated satay and pad thai like it was mine, treated curry like my wifes. . He never smiled once. He served the Pad Thai, then said Curry isnt ready. Shouldnt the main dishes be served together? 15min later, curry never came. We got hungry waiting and almost finished the noodles. He finally showed and said our order was given to someone else! I said to just give us the check. This JOKER came back and placed the bill in front of my wife, didnt even look at me! Are you freaking kidding me! Not sure we will be back . Not if this clown is working.
Misaki Sushi & Grill
46600 Washington St #1, La Quinta, CA 92253, United States
We were from out of town and decided to try this place based on reviews. It was Friday evening, so of course we expected some waiting. They said 20-30 minutes, so, no problem! But while we waited they seated at least a whole page of customers after us. 50 minutes or more later? They supposedly had only one place for a party of 6 waiting for a party of 2 to leave, those persons “had paid their bill.”Honestly they could have asked us if we wanted to split our group or they could have worked something ( it's a big place with many tables) (we asked several times even suggesting we squeeze into a booth) finally they asked if we wanted to squeeze into the table they were holding all this time for us! (They we're hoping to expand our seating when another couple left next to us) It turned out there was plenty of room and that couple didn't leave until just before we were done! If they had been more on top of things, we wouldn't have had to wait more than about 15 minutes.About the food: My family is Japanese American so we eat a lot of Japanese food. For the most part, The food was fairly good, pretty typical with Bento boxes and sushi. They also have udon and some other dishes. We ordered a variety of items and the food was tasty and well prepared, a little pricey though. The rolls were fairly large and they had a huge variety: clearly their forte. One of our group had to ask three times for her beverage to be served and came when we were almost done. They were clearly under-staffed for the busy time and a better method for juggling larger groups and seating would have been appreciated. Had they handled our seating situation better and not charged my friend for her very late beverage, I would have given them another star.

Saint Francis of Assisi Catholic Church

My first time at this Catholic Chruch. Beautiful and a full filled experienced. I would definitely come back again. This church has TV screens that you can follow the words of songs, hymns, prayers and follow with the service. This was so helpful because I have trouble following with what they say since I have difficulty hearing. Super helpful and thankful for that. The church is very clean and modern, when it comes to its outward appearance. They have a versatile audience. Awesome! The church father is very direct and straightforward and doesnt sugarcoat and says information as it is and appropriately. Very grateful for that. Welcoming and loving church that teaches from the bible. Also when it comes to repentance and forgiveness and Gods grace and mercy.Easy to find and in a great location. And have many parking spaces.

We are visiting from Mount Shasta, Ca and wanted to fine a place that offered a good happy hour. This place popped up on Yelp. After a very quick review of menu I hit the directions button and Im so glad I did. Hubby was chopping at the bit to find a place because he was getting very hangry! What a charming locale for a restaurant! The outdoor patio was full, but we were able to be quickly seated indoors. Our server was a delight and quickly caught onto my husbands hungry vibe. Luckily it was still happy hour so we ordered drinks & appetizers of chicken wings & grilled brussel sprouts. Libations were soon placed in front of us and the appetizers quickly followed. We also ordered the Ahi Tuna served over napa cabbage with asian inspired flavors. All the dishes were very good. I loved the large grilled chili served with the wings (which also included 3 different sauces). Brussel sprouts was served grilled with a lovely balsamic sauce & bacon bits. All the dishes were flavorful and delicious. After we finished I told my husband I was going to write this place down on my list as a favorite to return too. So go check this place out for yourself & be sure to sit in server Summers section. She was the best!
Old Town La Quinta
78100 Main St, La Quinta, CA 92253, United States
A nice area of La Quinta to visit for a little shopping (not many retail shops here) or a nice meal. There are plenty of restaurants for lunch or dinner. It's considered “Old” La Quinta, but when we arrived we were a little disappointed to learn that it was only built about 20 years ago and was just designed to look old. There is street parking available, and adjacent free parking lots for times when it gets a little busier.I admit, we expected a little more and were a little disappointed. We thought that we might spend several hours here, but ended up only spending a little more than an hour to see everything.
Pokehana
78742 CA-111 Suite A, La Quinta, CA 92253, United States
Pokehana is an interesting higher end concept of making your own Japanese bowl a la carte. You pick your rice, protein, vegies, sauces, toppings, etc...all with strong Asian flavors so they all blend together exceptionally well. (Basically you cant go wrong regardless of your selections.)The ingredients were clearly fresh and perfect for a Sushi type bowl (I had the Salmon and Ahi tuna)...the rice spot on. The addons (edamame, garlic aioli, seaweed salad) also were absolutely delicious! The service was exceptional from an experienced, very pleasant and congenial hostess who provided her recommendations on what to try that I took, as I am prone to try what is recommended to me! (most of the time)While I probably couldnt have it every day, as looks are deceiving in that it is really a *lot* of food packed into one bowl, for an occasional change of pace for something unique and favorable...I would say to totally give it a try!
PGA WEST Greg Norman Golf Course
81-405 Kingston Heath, La Quinta, CA 92253, United States
Our day started out amazing! The check in process easy as can be. The woman at the pro shop friendly and helpful. The course is well maintained and water stations come in clutch with summer heat. When it comes to golf PGA WEST Greg Norman Golf Course delivers. Unfortunately though the clubhouse restaurant WALLABYS I can honestly say ruined my parties day. My party went to the restaurant to have a drink to cheers to our fun afternoon. Myself and friend entered the restaurant first and sat down at the table closes to the bar. The server Isaac came to our table and asked how can I help you. We informed him that we were waiting on two more gentlemen who were in the men’s rooms and we would be placing our order once they enter restaurant. We informed him we were not going to be ordering food but just a drink. He rolled his eyes and attended to other tables. Once the other two entered the restaurant and sat down we waved to the server and made eye contact. The server walked by us to other table. We tried to wave him over again and stated we were ready when he walked by back to the bar and kept walking. We tried to wave him down again for a third stating sir we are ready. Server Isaac kept walking to other table and I personally said to my group he is probably busy but he will come to our table right after. Isaac had just finished with table and started to walk back to the bar when two of raised our hand to get his attention and at this point it was apparent he was ignoring us. In frustration, we all stood up and walked out and I turned back to see server Isaac laughing at us. It was apparent this was done on purpose. Sadly that is when we all noticed we were the only Latinos and Asian in the restaurant. All other parties were white complexion. We walked into pro shop after leaving the restaurant and the women at the counter who was amazing informed the restaurant supervisor Araceli. I informed her of what happen and she stated that Isaac was fairly new if we were to comeback she would comp our drink. I told her thank you but to drive more than 2 hrs and all four of us being super excited to visit PGA WEST for the first time to end our experience like this we might never be come back. It sad that this experience will probably keep us from coming back. I hope PGA WEST can address this so others who visit do get a feeling of not being welcomed.
