O Fine Japanese Cuisine
30872 Coast Hwy, Laguna Beach, CA 92651, United States
Viktoriia and I love sushi. In fact, we met at a sushi place in Aliso Viejo one night when a mutual friend introduced us. Thereafter, we visited almost every sushi place in the Laguna Beach, Laguna Niguel and Aliso Viejo areas we could find over the last six months. Now for starters, Viktoriia is one of the most critical consumers I have ever met, especially when it comes to sushi. As we visited all the local Hot-Spots, we were usually relatively disappointed in the overall quality of the dishes and/or of the service. This all changed when we found O Fine. O Fine was a real find. A gem of a restaurant hidden by the presence of a more well-known sushi place in the same plaza, Starfish - Laguna Beach. After scouting nearly every sushi place in the area for the last six months, Viktoriia and I cannot get enough of this place. It is incredible. After nine visits, we have yet to have a bad or subpar meal there yet.Not only is every piece of sushi they serve fresh, it is presented well. And it is not just the sushi, it is now our favorite place to get ramen. Every time we go there, we are impressed more and more by the quality and the sheer deliciousness of each and every dish.In visiting this location, we got to know one of the server/managers, Don, who makes this place even more amazing. Don knows the dishes and he knows how to make customers feel welcomed and appreciated. If you are looking for a great Japanese food place with amazing sushi, incredible ramen, and amazing service, visit O Fine Sushi and ask for Don while you are at it, he will make the experience that much more special.

Starfish is a wonderful Asian fusion restaurant hidden a little shopping center off PCH in South Laguna. The staff is wonderful at the food is fantastic. Their happy (opium) hour is the best in Laguna Beach!

Montage Laguna Beach
30801 Coast Hwy, Laguna Beach, CA 92651, United States
I hate leaving bad reviews but I feel a responsibility to share what happened to me so that hopefully no one else has to experience what I did. I had a bad experience at Montage Laguna Beach in 2020.As a gift for my college graduation, my partners mom gifted us a two night stay at the hotel and a couples massage. Id never been to a spa that luxurious before so it was a real treat. I was incredibly excited for my stay and treatment. However when I got to the spa, there were all these influencers in the womens spa CHANGING ROOM, sauna, showers and jacuzzi with their phones out RECORDING. Literally in every room of the spa there was a person with their phone out, posing, taking selfies, photos, videos, etc. Did I mention this was in areas of the spa where nudity is acceptable and expected? Nobody gave me the memo though that I should have brought a bathing suit to the spa because literally no area is safe from being recorded! I could not relax or enjoy my time during my service. I went to the front desk to tell them what was going on. They offered to give me a disposable bathing suit and talk to the women with their phones out, but it did not help. Multiple women continued to take selfies and videos in the changing room and have a photoshoot in the jacuzzi area of the womens spa.Additionally, I was the only POC at the spa, and MULTIPLE TIMES was confused for the spa staff instead of a fellow guest. It was a humiliating and awful experience.Other microaggressions I experienced were when sitting in the outdoor jacuzzi with my partner, a man repeatedly asked me invasive questions; aggressively asking me for my ethnicity, my age, and where are you REALLY from? Some positives: I have nothing but praise for the private couples massage itself. The care of the massage therapists was incredible. They created a calming, relaxing, restorative environment for my partner and I.It was very unfortunate that the other guests I encountered while staying at the Montage hotel and spa- the lack of privacy, the feeling of being constantly recorded, the breach of privacy in the changing room, and the multiple instances of racism I experienced- soured my stay, to say the least.
number three restaurant
320 N Coast Hwy, Laguna Beach, CA 92651, United States
I have been to the Number 3 many times and never have I been disappointed. The only surprise is that the food is so cheap. I mean they have the best burger in town at any price. The eggs benedict is spot on. The salmon salad is top notch. the eggs and salmon is amazing. I have recommended it to some of my friends and one of them drives down from Laguna Nigel all the time as it is his goto spot for a good meal now. There are alot of good restaurants in Laguna. There are also many overpriced pretentious places. This one has great food at a great price with a really nice patio set up where you can have a relaxed meal and a conversation. I would rate it as one of my favorite restaurants on the planet.
Evas Caribbean Kitchen
31732 South Coast Highway, Laguna Beach, CA 92651, United States
First of all when I walked into Evas I felt like family was cooking for me. The place has such a warm down to earth feeling & the aromas circulating in the air are delicious. I liked that Eva is actually there cooking, mingling & making her guest feel warm & comfortable. The service was FIRST CLASS and the food was delicious. I had the Jerk Salmon which comes with beans, rice, mixed shredded vegetable medley & a banana plankton. I also tried these appetizers egg plant, crab cakes, coconut shrimp & if you like spicy I HIGHLY recommend the spicy shrimp....ON FIRE...and I dare you :)That spice comes straight from the Caribbean because its a spice like no other Ive ever had. HOT but lots of flavor. This local spot is a gold mind if you like flavor, spice & good food. The wine & mixed fruit drinks made me feel like I was on vacation. Im definitely going back, probably next week. Great food, great service, great energy & vibe also very clean.
Red Dragon Restaurant
680 S Coast Hwy, Laguna Beach, CA 92651, United States
**Summary:**Dont bother going here. The whole experience was a letdown – the food was just okay, the service was shady, and it was way too expensive. The waiter took advantage of us and scammed us!**The Vibe:**The place doesnt have much going for it in terms of atmosphere. It felt pretty dull and didnt really capture any cool Chinese vibes. It was just bland.**Food - Nothing to Write Home About:**We were hoping for some good options since one of us is vegan and gluten-free. But what we got was super basic. The vegan dish was just some steamed broccoli – nothing special. The chicken dish for the non-vegan was just okay, nothing more than what youd get at any other Chinese restaurant.**Overcharged and Scammed:Upon getting seated, we mentioned to the waiter (Roberto I) that one of us is vegan and gluten free so we need something she can only eat, while the other is ok consuming meat and asked for options.Upon checking with the chef, the vegan dish came as an ordinary steamed broccoli, while for the non-vegan (me) a chicken dish. Both were ok in taste. Would not say amazing. Just normal as any other Chinese restaurant. We got scammed once we got the bill. Total for our dishes was to be $50ish based on prices on menu. But we were charged $90. We were shocked and asked why.The waiter said he charged us for “sharing” plates. We said that's unacceptable as clearly one of us was vegan and other could eat meat so we could not share dishes. Secondly, we never asked for sharing plates.Unfortunately, he gave us attitude instead of accepting that he has been caught scamming us, he said best I can do is give you $12 discount on the bill.**Final Thoughts:**Overall, this place felt like a rip-off. The food was average, and the service left a bad taste. We were absolutely taken advantage of and would not recommend this place. I am also filing with BBB regarding this matter as I do not appreciate such behavior.I definitely wouldnt recommend this place to anyone. Save your time and money for a better spot.
Nicks Laguna Beach
440 S Coast Hwy, Laguna Beach, CA 92651, United States
This was one of the overall best meals I have ever eaten! I had dined at South of Nicks in San Clemente this past summer and fell in love with their butter cake and wanted to take my husband to Nicks in Laguna Beach to try out their menu. We started with the lightly fried Bacon Deviled Eggs and Castroville Artichokes. The eggs were unique (and delicious) and the artichoke was cooked to perfection. We were sitting by the kitchen and got to watch all the food being expoed when my husband noticed a loaf of sourdough bread being served with the San Francisco Cioppino so asked the manager, Brandon McDonald, about it and then had our waiter (Christopher) get us a loaf. We eat Boudins sourdough bread on the wharf quite often, but my husband dubbed Nicks sourdough bread as some of the best hes ever eaten. We also ordered the Buttermilk Fried Chicken which was really good but the star of the meal was the Pan Seared Chilean Sea Bass and the sautéed spinach! We finished our meal by splitting the signature Warm Butter Cake and even had Christopher wrap up two other cakes and ice cream to go for our children who we were going to get from the airport. Special thanks to our server and the manager who were helpful and made the experience even better. I cant wait to visit Southern California again JUST to dine at Nicks!EDITED APRIL 30, 2022: We were in Southern California and decided to head to Nick's for lunch before driving to Las Vegas and was able to order from the breakfast menu. We love their lunch/dinner menu but decided to order their avocado toast as an appetizer. It did not disappoint and was the BEST version of avocado toast that I've ever eaten! The chilaquiles also looked amazing but we were eating Mexican for dinner. I added two more pictures. I also added photos of the Petite Bistro Plate and the Rib Eye Melt that my daughter and son-in-law always order.
Festival of Arts and Pageant of the Masters
650 Laguna Canyon Rd, Laguna Beach, CA 92651, United States
If you are an art lover, this is worth coming to watch. They did an amazing job with the art performance. Nothing but good vibes, people just appreciating art. The music is great. There’s food, snacks, wine, while watching the show. There’s parking across the street and you have to pay attention where you park your car. It’s $2.75 an hour and there’s a meter to pay. There are a variety of restaurants to grab lunch and dinner. From Asian to Italian food. The gifted talented artist sharing their artwork, so fun walking around looking the beautiful unique paintings, sculptures.
