Lams Thai and Chinese Restaurant
11640 Victory Blvd, North Hollywood, CA 91606, United States
This has to be the best thai/Asian food I have ever eaten. As someone who eats halal food it can be difficult to find restaurants, so this place is perfect for that requirement. Not only is the food halal however, but the taste is absolutely incredible. Their Drunken Noodles are so, so delicious and so is their parang curry. The food is also complimented with amazing customer service with quick food.

Hello,This is my official review for this restaurant.I highly recommend and greatly approve of this establishment. Even after much critique and a return visit. I have confirmed the food here is amazing the sauces and spices used within are to be commended upon. The Lamb Tikka Masala is great as well as it is my second time ordering it.I have eaten a couple appetizers ( Meat and Vegetable Samosa) with the Mint sauce and Tamarind sauce which are both exquisite, even an infusion of the two sauces really is appealing to the palette. As well have I tried the Prawn Poori. If you read negative reviews pay them no mind, I am hardest on the critique of an establishment. This place is well worth the visit as well as it good on price for the quality of the food. Go here and try some great dishes. Thanks to all who took their time to read my review. Thanks and Cheers!-Georges

Chiba Japanese Restaurant

An unassuming Sushi restaurant located on a busy Sun Valley street is not really what your initial impressions are going to be. What youll find will be surprising. With updated and modern touches, this Sushi restaurant is a touch atypical. The decor is inviting. There are two separate bars where patrons can sit in front of the chefs. The dining room is situated around and feels a little noncentralized. There are adjacent seating that doubles as outdoor seating just beyond the glass. Service can also be a little worrisome if youre placed in the corners of the dining areas. Comments on how this could accommodate larger groups are certainly seen here. With a reasonable lunch specials menu, this place can be quite a hidden gem with its bento boxes. Sashimi and the 3 types of teriyaki are excellent. The Tempura isnt a light panko variety, but it is still very delicious. The Niguri is also very fresh and the rolls here are excellently prepared. Unfortunately, I found this place on a list of affordable sushi spots and found the contrary. Expect to see $8 Niguri orders and they are nowhere generous. The saving grace of the meal is how fresh their seafood is. The Spicy Tuna Cut Roll is also a star at this place for they have a perfect balance and blend of spiciness and heat. If this is one of your go-tos you must order this here.

77 Asian Kitchen
5560 Vineland Ave D, North Hollywood, CA 91601, United States
This review is based on the last 2 visits to this place. Ive been in the front of house in the food service industry for over a decade, and I feel my opinion is valid...Service:Both times there were maybe 3-5 tables, and only one server. Certainly not more than one should be able to handle. The greeting both times was very poor and not very welcoming. I felt like my presence there was a burden to them possibly. Then I watched the interactions that other guests were getting and I noticed that it wasnt just me; everyone was getting poor customer service. When I say poor, I mean not even as much as a smile. Thats pretty bad. I also had but one request, and that is no onions in my pho. After I received my pho, I immediately noticed that there were onions in it. My server apologized, and took responsibility for forgetting. This was unfortunate, because I was on my lunch break, and didnt have much time.Food:After about 10 minutes my server came by with my correct order. However, the noodles were very overdone, and I wonder if they took a shortcut in the kitchen to get me my food quicker. Also, my thai tea was just terrible, as the boba was not prepared correctly, and the mint leaves for my pho were browning (for the second time in a row)Service (again):After I had received my food, my server never once checked on me to see how I was doing. I powered through my food just to get back to my work day, and was ready for my check. I tried for about 5 minutes to get my servers attention by looking in their direction. At one point they looked at me, then went back to whatever they were doing. I grew impatient and walked to the counter. Is this what Im supposed to do? If so, thats fine, but please let me know so Im not wasting my time. I noticed that my server had food handling gloves on at the register. Why was my server preparing food instead of tending to the guests? Why were they working at the sushi bar and possibly cross-contaminating germs with the register? Do they have enough staff?Ive learned my lesson and Im not coming back.Side note for people in the food service industry hating their job: If you dont like where you are in life, do yourself, your customers, your employers and your co-workers a favor AND JUST QUIT. Dont simply continue to do your job horribly and get mad when you get tipped poorly.

BBQ Unlimited Chinese Restaurant

Weve been coming here for over 25 yrs. Im glad to see that theyve reopened after closing down for a few months because of the Pandemic. We love the bbq pork and roast duck wonton noodle soup. The wonton dumplings are so good, they have ground pork and shrimp inside. This dish is the main reason weve been coming here all these years. We normally takeout one order for each of us either bbq pork or duck it also includes a generous portion of Chinese broccoli and thin noodles. If you come early enough you can add a Chinese style donut to dip in your soup. Oh so good. They also have a large menu of other dishes which are good. I also recommend the salt and pepper pork chops. Which is deep fried with chili peppers and garlic. That being said parking and seating is limited. The restaurant is kind of a hole in a wall and the main server isnt very friendly but the service other than that is unusually good and prices are decent. They are open Wed-Mon 10am-6pm Closed on Tuesdays.

Panda Express

My dinner was ruined by STEPH UNFORTUNATELY.Place an order online, got to the store. Waited patiently for the person in front of me to finish up as I watch Steph pushed him aside and say your orders not ready yet. Watched her yell at her coworker that she needs something and had saw the reaction from her employee frustrated. Then patiently waited by the register for another 5 minutes before she acknowledged me and I asked for my pickup order kindly, where I was then told to get to the back of the line. Then why did I order online? After that I was asking her a question she walked away completely ignored me. Push me off to somebody else where the entire restaurant looked at me in awe wondering what was going on. It was completely embarrassing, dont know what I did to deserve to get turned away service. Felt pretty hurt by it, not understanding why I would be treated as anybody else. I purchased my food on the app as a restaurant prefer so I can do it ahead of time and arrived at the pickup time my food was already ready on the shelf. After I got turned away the other employee after asking her twice just grabbed it and it was sitting there the entire time I was waiting. Such an unfortunate experience especially since I live right in the neighborhood and this is where I like to go to Panda. Wont be going back for sure. Steph definitely needs to get better with people. If you dont enjoy your job get another one, but dont make the people around you miserable

Great place to eat sushi in Noho. The price was very affordable with everyday 20% off on special rolls and affordable Asian alcohols. The sushi tested awesome and the restaurant atmosphere was really cozy and nice. All the staffs there were so kind, especially the waitress who took care of us ?Will visit again ?

WaBa Grill
4821 Lankershim Blvd Unit G&H, North Hollywood, CA 91601, United States
Ordered the steak plate. I asked that they not over cook it because I have trouble swallowing. I was told that's not possible because it's cooked in the morning and kept in a steam tray. I asked what time it was cooked and was told 11:00. I ordered at noon. I was assured that it would not me dry. Not true. The meat was so over cooked and dry. Almost like beef jerky. The “salad” was just a little cut up old yellow lettuce that must have been cut at least 3-4 days prior. The Diet Pepsi was out and I had to ask that it be refilled. I had to ask to have a table wiped off.The employees were polite but that didn't overcompensate for the food. Very disappointed. I won't return to this Wabi grill. Other locations are considerably better.

Aki Shabu
5560 Vineland Ave C, North Hollywood, CA 91601, United States
My husband and I are addicted to this great restaurant and excellent food. We eat at Aki Shabu in North Hollywood most weeks. “All you can eat” comes with a big variety of veggie's & noodles, and rice, delicious hot & cold appetizers, raw fish, crab, & shrimp. Only beverages are not included. You can reorder the meat or order different meats and take as many appetizers and vegetables as you can eat. My eyes are usually bigger than my stomach - but be aware: there is an additional charge of $5.99 per plate left over. The dessert - strawberry ice cream - can not be reordered. “All you can eat” should implicate it too, but there are very strict in giving you just one portion of the refreshing ice cream. The service is great, the owners polite & helpful, he appetizers are perfect; it's a clean restaurant, the big variety of food is always fresh & delicious, the atmosphere relaxed and fun. Sometimes a little bit noisy, depending on the guests.Just be aware of a waiting line in the evening if you are fewer than 4 people. Groups of 4 people & more can make a reservation on the phone.
