JTYH Restaurant

I recently discovered this place with my friend. The food was pretty good the first time I was there, but the service was so-so, which was kind of expected in this area. Because the food tasted pretty good, I decided to take my grandma and aunt here for lunch. We ordered simmered noodle soup, mung bean jelly, and pan-fried buns. There was a long wait between each of the dishes, so we ended up eating each dish one by one, which is not typical for Chinese food. We were almost done with the mung bean jelly before the simmered noodle soup was served, and the pan-fried buns were still not there when we almost finished the simmered noodle. When we finally saw the buns, the waiter/owner served them to a table that came later than us but ordered the same dish. We thought maybe he forgot, so we went to ask him. He was very unapologetic and rude about it. He said, What do you want me to do about it? That just ruined our day, which was supposed to be a fun outing with my 90-year-old grandma. No matter how good the food tastes, its not worth it. I understand that people make mistakes in placing orders sometimes, so Im not mad about that. Its his attitude, which was just terrible.I dont see them staying in business for long if they dont change how they treat customers. This could have been a four or five-star review, but now its a one. No food is good enough to ruin your mood for.
Jade Seafood BBQ Restaurant

This has always been my go to Chinese food spot since I was little. I no longer live in the area but my parents live down the street. Today I came into town craving some so I stopped by for some . I waited over 25 minutes & the guy working there ignored me, and did not help me. I asked him about 3 different times, no response simply ignored me and laughed and walked back to the kitchen. When others came in he assisted them right away . At this point he is still not helping me so I go tell my mom the situation and she comes inside and he ignores and my mom raised her voice and he said give me 2 minutes . 2 minutes pass by and no help whatsoever . Im very disappointed on how I was not helped but everyone else who was Asian descent he was quick too help. Its super dirty inside and while waiting I saw a few tiny roaches walking around the ready to go food. DO NOT recommend! Stay away. They are in serious health code violation . I left and ate elsewhere ! Take your business elsewhere. TIN TIN RESTAURANT has very good service and its way cleaner, you wont be disappointed.

Well established fine dining restaurant. Delicious selection of all things Thai and Asian. Currys are flavorful without being uber-spicy. Crab wontons, excellent.
Happy Buddha Kitchen
5551 Rosemead Blvd, Temple City, CA 91780, United States
This is the only vegan Vietnamese restaurant in the area. The dining area is neat and very clean. There are plenty of parking. The menu offers a good selection of rice dishes and pho noodles. The soup is as good as the regular pho soup. Their spring rolls is a must order - the best above all vegan and regular Asian restaurants in SGV.4.5 stars. 0.5 star off for the annoying background music.
Panda Express

It's saddens me to go to a restaurant in 2023 and still find racial discrimination, went to this panda like always with family. Always excuses, when ask for certain items. When bringing up a complaint the manager straight out argues with you instead of listening to find a solution. Just because I'm not white she is very defensive and confrontational. I've noticed this when other customer order that are Hispanic, Black other she is very short, moves them out quick. When it's a white person she smile and takes her time. Worse god forbid that you need to bring up a double charge cuz she doesn't want to look for a transaction without a receipt. Sorry Panda but u lost my business. The disrespect was sufficient enough to stop going there.

Tai Siu Restaurant
8728 Valley Blvd #101, Rosemead, CA 91770, United States
A relative recommended this place for the hotpot. Im glad we tried it out.The hotpot did not disappoint. It had a satisfying bean curd flavor and goes compliments the meats. The tofu skin was crispy and you can actually order some more to add in the hotpot. The portion was decent for a small group. We also order 2 other fish items that was also great. The seasonings were on point and goes so well with white rice. The menu is a unique collection of Vietnamese/Chinese dishes that are not found in standard Vietnamese restaurants in the area. I would definitely come back for more. The atmosphere really feel felt like I was in Saigon again for some reason. Maybe its the tile floor. Maybe its the customer service. I cant really put my finger on it.
ICHIMA
325 N Rosemead Blvd, Pasadena, CA 91107, United States
Very nice staff. Attentive and fast service. It is a popular spot, and can build a pretty significant wait. I would recommend coming early, and getting food to go! It’s a larger restaurant. Pretty extensive East Asian cuisine menu. Sushi was solid, but not the tastiest/top tier quality, but great for the price, and serving sizes were awesome. Teriyaki beef was slightly above average. Beef quality was a little low, but the grilled onions were good. Plenty of signature/specialty rolls. Complimentary miso soup. Parking lot out front.
Kami Buffet & Grill
909 San Gabriel Blvd, Rosemead, CA 91770, United States
This place is a nice Asian restaurant with lots of great options! Ive been there twice already so I have a pretty good grasp of the food quality.Sushi: Better than most buffets! The quality is obviously lower than AYCE sushi spots, but you can tell the ladies who make them put the work in. Theres a wide variety of sushi, tempura sushi, sashimi, and hang rolls. Im obsessed with sushi so this place has decent enough sushi! I definitely wasnt disappointed at all.Main dishes: Most of the dishes you see are ones in cafeteria style Chinese restaurants. Theres a larger variety (which is a plus) but it lacks flavor. The Pepper chicken for example has good texture, but the flavor is very muted. This is true both times I visited the place. Because most of the dishes are muted, lots of them blend together. Its difficult to differentiate which dish is which.Soups: I cant say how much I dislike them. Theres no flavor whatsoever. Both times I went, the soups looked and smelled good, but I only tasted hot water. I usually hate saying such negative things about places, but this is the worst part about here.Sweets: Amazing! I love the variety of desserts. Theyre sweet but not too sweet. A really good balance in my opinion! The popcorn is stale though. That happened both times I went.Atmosphere: Its okay! Nothing special. It looks nice from the outside and definitely stands out. The inside is a little lacking. But nothing to take points off of! Its charming! All in all, its good but not the best youll visit. There are other better Asian buffets out there. And for the same price as some all you can eat sushi places, you should go there instead. Would I go again? Probably not for a while.
Medan Kitchen

Ever since I tried their food, I have been constantly checking their instagram account to see what menu that they have for the weekends. They kinda rotate the menu and update it on their instagram. My husband and I really enjoy every single dish we have here. Theyre pretty authentic and bold, just like how Indonesian food should be. Price wise, theyre cheaper than the other Indonesian restaurants around where we live in West L.A. They have a good variety of prepacked main dishes as well as Indonesian street snacks. They also have a small Indonesian grocery store. Theres a microwave and some tables outside if you want to eat your food right away. In short, this place is definitely worth a visit!
