Szechuan Restaurant
2101 Camino Ramon #100, San Ramon, CA 94583, United States
This restaurant is definitely one of my go-to places for Asian food, the flavors are truly delicious. Everything I have tried has definitely hit the spot from all their vegetarian dishes to the twice-cooked pork, definitely will be back for a couple more rounds because I cannot get enough of this restaurant. I definitely recommend this place, for yourself and or bring friends cause you wont regret trying this restaurant.

Great Indian and Chinese fusion restaurant with a nice dimly lit and Asian style atmosphere! We ordered the egg drop soup, Chicken 65 fried rice, Butter chicken with naan bread, wings of heaven, and Singapore rice noodles. Did not disappoint![Corrected Indian and Chinese not Thai fusion]
Fresh Millions Restaurant San Ramon
2550 San Ramon Valley Blvd Suite #B2, San Ramon, CA 94583, United States
I frequent this Fresh Millions location often enough that I should have had a bad experience by now…except that I haven't. Every time I visit, there is someone friendly who helps me. One smile goes a long way, but consistently engaging polite staff nod to the leadership of the restaurant. I had a chance to speak with the owner on one occasion and she was sweet as pie.The food is prepared and made to order in an open kitchen - a testament to their confidence. Regardless of what I order, I am satisfied after I eat and I don't feel bad about what I just put into my body. I am incredibly selective about what restaurant I choose because I eat on a fairly restrictive diet. Most eateries make me feel sluggish and gross afterward. Not here.Thank you to all the staff, the owners, and the quality of nourishment I need. Also, the prices are affordable for such a healthy option. Well done, Fresh Millions San Ramon. Well. Done.
Bamboo Sushi
6000 Bollinger Canyon Rd #2201, San Ramon, CA 94583, United States
An entirely regrettable experience. The food is very, very, very overpriced. $21 for 4 pieces of salmon sashimi? I wouldnt mind the price if the quality was there. But the salmon was fresh-ish, and not cut properly. One sashimi piece was mangled. This isnt appropriate for the price. An actual sushi chef sent a shredded piece of sashimi out? Doubt. The chicken karaage was mostly batter; it was difficult to find any chicken in it. The waitress also corrected me when I ordered it. Im sorry for being an Irish-American who doesnt know fluent Japanese, but being corrected by another white person, and then being served pieces of batter, is laughable. Ive never felt corrected when I order chicken karaage from a Japanese-speaker. They didnt pronounce it correctly either; rolling the r isnt Japanese. Weirdly rude. I dont think it was intentional or mean-spirited; I think the servers are super young, and dont have the experience or training to understand good customer service. This is fine in a lot of jobs, but not where youre charging this much. High prices are for both the quality of the food and the skill of the servers. The Friday the 13th Roll, which is supposedly a salmon roll, has a core of salmon that seemed to be processed in a blender. and mixed with something that tasted like truffle oil. Its absolutely disgusting, and not how the item is represented on the menu. Ive never ordered a salmon roll that has the consistency of the crab in a California roll. Covering up the taste of salmon with overpowering oil and spice, along with blending it up, makes me suspicious of the quality and freshness.I ordered the chicken karaage, the friday the 13th roll, and salmon sashimi. My friend ordered edamame, a cocktail and a roll. The total was over $100. Absurd. A restaurant where I need to scan a QR code to even see the menu is not a restaurant with an ambiance to charge that much. Its a pretentious food truck. This place is not good, theyre trying to do weird stuff with sushi, the servers dont have experience and come off as rude, and the prices are ludicrous. Im sorry I went there, and I wont be back. The c casa, curry up, mendocino, delarosa are all better.

I am sure if this place had someone working for them that knew what they were doing, there's a chance they could be successful. They just opened, but the woman taking orders is very incompetent. I stood there waiting for her to take my order, while 3 other people, separate tables, came in and she waited on them before me and brought them their order BEFORE even asking me what I would like to order. I asked what was in the won ton soup and she replied, meat, wontons and vegetables. After waiting 20 minutes, and questioning why people that came in after me were served before me, she brought out my order and handed it to me. I had not paid yet. If it weren't the fact that I am an honest person, I could have walked out, but I told her I hadn't paid for my order yet.The wonton soup has no vegetables and no meat, except for the meat in the wontons. I actually did not find any meat in the wontons, just floppy noodles. The shrimp dumplings were VERY doughy.Save yourself some frustration and money and perhaps wait awhile until they get their act together.Terrible customer service and worse food.

They were running out of some of the items (it was about 40 min before closing), they said they could not make any more of it and they were done for the day so I had to settle for the 2 pieces of tofu and 4 pieces of eggplant that were left...it was less than the size of even one serving spoon. The silly thing is that the guy working there (as well as the manager who probably over heard our conversation with him) did not offer for us to have anything else in addition to that very very tiny amount of eggplant tofu and they still charged us the full amount which isnt fair. Ive been to another location around the same time at night (pleasanton) and they immediately offered to make more when they saw an item was nearly over. If this location doesnt want to make another batch, thats okay, but I shouldnt be charged the full amount when I got barely any of it. Wont be coming back here.
Imperial Delight
290 Market Pl, San Ramon, CA 94583, United States
I live in San Ramon and tonight, Valentines night our family were thinking on where to have dinner. We were debating if we were going to Japanese or Chinese restaurant. My girls decided to have Chinese and since Imperial Delight is very close to where we live, we decided to have our dinner at the said place. I have tried their food before and it is fine. In the middle of our dinner, the waiter who was an elderly Chinese man gave us the bill with the look in his place that he is implying that payment is needed, I took my card and put it in the tray. He returned the tray with the receipt and I signed giving him not a very generous tip. To our surprise he went back to our table and ask us if his service is not good because we gave him a small tip. He asked us why our tip was so small, I was so embarrased because I have only 5 dollar cash in my pocket. I asked him to give me the receipt back so I could change it. Wouldnt you consider that to be very rude. Tip is a voluntary act from the customer and it is not mandatory to give a specific amount. His act was very inappropiate because after I gave a big tip they all spoke in their language and started to look at us with that kind of smile that you know that they are talking about. you.I will not recommend that place to anyone. There are a lot Chinese restaurant around with good food and good service.

We really wanted to love this restaurant. Based on the reviews, we thought we would and have a new favorite sushi restaurant to add to our others. Sadly, it didnt work out that way. The entrance to the building is awkward. The actual front door is for take out orders only. You need to enter through the side. Maybe if you called ahead, that would have been explained. We didnt know that to eat in the restaurant that we needed a reservation, the women explained from the sliver in the door she opened. She yelled out to someone inside and then allowed us in. The restaurant was empty, she sat us at a table and took our order. Our food came out quickly, and we began to eat. The crab in the roll I ordered was fishy. I had to use a napkin to put it in after I tasted it. We called her over to explain what happened, and she argued that they only use the best crab and it wasnt fishy at all. In the middle of that conversation, the man making the rolls yelled out to her to let the party at the door in. She quickly ran to the door, leaving us without resolving the issue of the fishy crab, never to return to our table (right next to the other party) she ignored us the rest of the time. It seemed the party next to us had been a long-time patron of the restaurant from their previous location. The man making the rolls was summoned to the table by the gentleman, and they reminisced about how long they had known each other. It is amazing to have that relationship.A young gentleman, very professional asked how our dinner was, we explained to him the crab was fishy and we wanted that roll removed from our bill, he apologized, left and returned with the bill removing the bad roll.We will not go back to this restaurant and, if asked, wont recommend it either. Maybe it was a combination of circumstances, we didnt call ahead, explaining that the crab was bad and the long time customer, Im not sure, but I am sure we will never go back.

Worst Experience with Wesley Z. - Possible DiscriminationMy wife and I wanted to grab a quick lunch before our appointment, and this Panda Express was on the way, so we stopped by. The worst mistake we made this year- yes, it was that bad. When we went in (fully masked), there were two customers, one ordered to-go and the other finishing up eating inside. We got to the ordering line, and Wesley Z. was behind the counter. As soon as the interaction started, my wife and I looked at each other, because Wesley came across as extremely unpleasant and impatient, with his tone down right demeaning when repeating our orders. I was already pretty mad before finishing orders. While there were two small tables without blocked signs (social distancing, which we respect), I double checked to make sure it was okay to dine in and Wesley said that small table only in a very annoyed manner. What happened next completely infuriated us. Right when we sat down, a younger Caucasian gentleman came in (no one else in between the few minutes), and Wesley was a completely different person, in facial expression and tone. (It was night and day, and my wife agreed.) Now, the two interactions (us and the young gentleman) were just a few minutes apart, and the only difference was we are Asian and the young gentleman is Caucasian.Another employee identified Wesley, who he himself is Asian, as the manager later. It is a disgrace for a manager to behave / treat customers differently based on races. I wish he is on the receiving end of the discrimination himself so he knows how my wife and I felt. Panda Express needs to have him go through discrimination training!
Papaya Grill

Fraudulent prices. For many years, I used to buy take-out food here at least once a week. There were a few occasions in the past on which the woman owner overcharged me, usually by a dollar or so, but I had let it slide since I did not realize it until I was on the way home. One evening in August, when she again overcharged me, I called her out on it. At the cash register, she charged me about a dollar more for each item than the published prices on the printed menu, the TV billboard, and the posters on the window. The extra cost was insignificant to me, but I could not abide fraud in business establishments. She explained that they had raised prices and that the prices on the printed menu, the TV billboard, and the posters on the window were wrong.I pointed out to her that she cannot do that, that she had to honor her own published prices, otherwise it would constitute false advertising or fraud. She threw a fit and made a huge production of her being offended. She humiliated me by loudly declaring that I did not have to pay, as if I cared about the money.I vowed then to never return to this establishment.Six months later, in February, because Papaya Grill was the only Filipino restaurant in the area, I could not help myself and came back to buy take-out. I breathed a sigh of relief that the unpleasant woman owner was not there that day.As I paid for my order, however, I was shocked to find that they again charged me more than the published prices on the TV billboard and the posters on the window.More than half a year after I had first cautioned them against false advertising and overcharging customers, they were still doing it.They were still engaging in fraud.I once again vowed to never return. This time I meant it.
