Cumin Restaurant
170 Farmers Ln Suite 8, Santa Rosa, CA 95405, United States
Update: Based on the owners response. If you feel you must have them cater or host a large party beware anything verbal from this business. Get everything in writing. They verbally told me a very low number which I said seemed rather low $650-$750. They called and asked me if we were still coming the day of the event. She said it was going to be a little bit more expensive and I expected that but then came in at over $2,500. Im still not convinced the tried to scam us but I do feel scammed.Original review below:I had been here for takeout a couple times and enjoyed the food and the staff. So much so that I arrainged to have our company party there. I had emailed and phoned with the owner to discuss menu options and she quoted me between $650-$750. I told her that I thought that sounded a bit low and to recheck her numbers. The day of the party we confirmed that there would be 22 of us and she said it may be a little more than she quoted. We showed up and saw they had set up a little buffet for us for entres and began to slowly bring out appitizers. Appitizers took a bit over an hour to bring out, dropping off one or two pakoras to each person, then one samosa each 20 minutes later. They provided paper cups for chai. While the hour plus appitizer service went on, our dinner sat in hot pans with sterno fire beneath. We finally got to the mains that had been sitting. While we were eating the overcooked food the owner tapped me on the shoulder and asked if she could speak to me. I went with her and she proceeded to tell me that the total was more than she had quoted, I asked how much and she said $2500 - thats $113 per person without drinks or dessert. I told her that it seemed a bit high and it was three times what she quoted for the buffet. I then proceeded to give her my credit card and paid the $2511.70.I sent her a follow up email that she didnt even respond to. I highly suggest you reconsider any large partys or catering with them. They just arent set up for it and the communication isnt good. We could have gone to someplace a lot better for that kind of money.Unfortunatly the experience has left a bad taste in my mouth and I will not be returning.
Kafal Restaurant
535 Ross St, Santa Rosa, CA 95401, United States
I was going to give them 4 stars but their service leaves a lot to be desired for. I ordered takeout from their website. First, taking 50 mins for a takeout order was surprising. Ive lived in many cities and usually, it doesnt take more than 30 mins to get Desi food. Any way, it was also raining quite a bit, so I actually got there later than the 50 mins. I got in and you could see that there was no system. Two people were hovering around the counter. One server was working the tables and hovering around the counter. There was nobody as such to ask my order for. Then, when I told them what Id ordered, they couldnt find it. Im pretty sure that they did not realize you can also order through their website, so my order wasnt ready. The main person tried to cover it up by saying theyre still working on it. But I could hear him call out the order when I told him what it was. Then, my bill had come to a total of $30. When he ran it at the counter, it was $32. Two bucks is not much in the grand scheme of money, but why would your website show one price and your teller another? And then, he asked me, where did you order this from (while looking at the order email from their website on my phone)? He looked very confused when I said it was from their website. Finally, I got everything sorted out and left but this whole service thing left a negative view in my mind. The food itself was very good! I got a spicy kadhai mushroom which was spicy and delicious. The chilli chicken is the closest Ive eaten to real indo-chinese food from home. So once I got over the chaos of the pickup, I did enjoy the food. But you guys need to buckle up with the service!
Sky Dragon Restaurant
2770 Stony Point Rd, Santa Rosa, CA 95407, United States
I walked in, didn't see a soul eating here. It was about an hour before they closed so thought maybe that was why. As I ordered food I turn and see one of the cooks perhaps even owner of the place, rubbing the whole top row of her teeth with her bare finger. It threw me off, made me lose my appetite and wanted to just say never mind and walk out. But I felt bad since I was already paying and decided to just try and forget what just happened and try and enjoy my food. As if that wasn't enough, the dude at the front counter was on his phone as he was attending me smiling and giggling at his phone. After all this I retrieve my food, hit up my car and get to eating. I had ordered wor wonton soup and honey walnut shrimp. The soup was super bland even after dumping the whole packet of soy sauce. I didn't even get halfway through before I just decided to feed the rest to my dog. As im smacking on my honey walnut shrimp I bite into a raw, mushy, undercooked prawn. I immediately spit it back out. It was the most disgusting shrimp I've ever had. Made me accept there and then that the toilet was going to take the damage later that night. Please I hate to say it but don't waste your money here. Definitely not coming back. Worst first experience for sure.
Baan Thai Restaurant
424 Larkfield Center #1408, Santa Rosa, CA 95403, United States
This was the ABSOLUTELY of the BEST pad thai dishes I have ever eaten in sonoma county, and in general and FYI i grew up eating and still do eat thai quite often ( just look at my other reviews). I can understand why other people rate this restaurant low- if you want to eat out for an experience this may not be the place, it is small, dim, hot and the adorable little old lady who took my order does not speak fluent English.. BUT WHOTF CARES!? its the food, its all about the food, and has always been about the food when i rate a restaurant (unless the staff are rude or place is gross[luncheon]). now I have only eaten the one dish here but I would bet the farm its all as good, and it came with a splash of tom kha kai (coconut milk soup) that wasnt too sweet (for once) & was D lish, with broccoli? yum. get it to go, and leave a nice tip. the grandmom & pop will appreciate your business and cook you a wonderful meal.
SEA Thai Bistro

We have never had a bad experience here. We arrived in time for a quick bite at happy hour. Food was Great! Then we ordered the ribs appetizer and decided to move into the restaurant permanently. Best Asian food anywhere.
Lees Noodle House
1010 Hopper Ave, Santa Rosa, CA 95403, United States
Excellent food. Potstickers are delicious. Beef with green onion and rice noodle, and, beef and shrimp with noodle both had very good flavour. I couldnt eat all of mine, because I already ate crispy spring rolls and potstickers. Took home an order of pork fried rice, beef and brocoli and mixed vegtables. Cant wait for dinner. I would definitely go back. The only thing that wasnt great was that the salt and pepper shaker were actually the little Mortons picnic cardboard containers with the white plastic lids. The tops of each were grimy from food particles. To be fair, I did take them off a recently vacated adjacent table, and, IS possible that all that grease and crispy debtors on top COULD have all come from the person who was eating there. Maybe if I had asked for salt and pepper shakers, I would have been brought clean ones. All in all, food was excellent, prices were fair. We will go back.
Panda Express
2020 Santa Rosa Ave, Santa Rosa, CA 95407, United States
Placed on Santa Rosa Avenue, this Panda Express location is right in the middle of one of the most popular shopping centers in town. It's by Costco, Ulta Beauty, Target and plenty of other affordable restaurants. They have a very nice outdoor seating area. It's not designated just to Panda Express, but if it's a nice day and tables aren't taken it's always an option. As we know Panda Express is an Americanized Asian fast food restaurant. The Asian aspect of their taste inspires from cities like Hong Kong, Beijing, and even Sichuan. They also do use woks that are 8 pounds to keep the authenticity. They've upped their care for health as they now have no food with high-fructose corn syrup and by 2025 they plan to cut even more sodium, sugars, and artificial colors and flavors.Their website is beautifully organized. On there they have a chart for those who have specific allergies. They even have a page with 30-minute recipe recommendations using their food! They only have their firecracker shrimp for limited times, but it is so tasty! This specific Panda Express has fresh food unlike other ones I've been too. They do vegetarian options like vegetables, chow mein, fried and white rice. Even veggie spring rolls.Panda Express is kid friendly not just because they have a kids menu to fit their size, but they even have a program where they donate money to undeserved youth. The workers here are youthful and efficient. I want to comment specifically on a worker named Jerrod. His customer service was exceptional and he definitely knows how to make sure that his customers are happy! Management, I hope you make him employee of the month!Since it's such a busy plaza there's parking everywhere including wheelchair accessible parking. Just be careful driving around since it can get pretty tight.Overall to the beautiful people of Sonoma county and visitors abroad, I can tell you this is my favorite Panda Express in Santa Rosa!
MoMos

This place is great. There are South Asian menu items as well as incredible deli items. My favorites are the Unforgiven and Flamethrower with chicken breast on each. Service is always prompt, the restaurant is always spotless, everyone working is gracious and they sell yerba mate.
Paradise Sushi and Hibachi
4100 Montgomery Dr C, Santa Rosa, CA 95405, United States
It’s a Japanese restaurant, but not owned, managed, or run by anyone of Asian descent. That changed the atmosphere. But, it was still really fun and the food was excellent. I recommend!
Panda Express
740 Stony Point Rd, Santa Rosa, CA 95407, United States
We all know our favorite Americanized fast food Asian restaurant, Panda Express. From their glazing honey walnut shrimp to their glossy orange chicken my mouth waters with the thought of this savory cuisine. Now with this being said the Panda Express on Stony point road has disappointed me. They gave very little portions of food. There was one worker that was very polite and sweet, but the rest of your workers were very rude and acted immature towards other employees as well as some customers. I do give them credit though because I had left something and they saved it rather than doing something they shouldn’t have.I can compliment the atmosphere. It was clean and I liked their community board. This Panda Express is located in a plaza area amongst other restaurants and businesses. It is right next to chevron gas station. The parking lot can get busy. They do have a few parking spots in front of the restaurant. One for the handicapped folks as well.Overall, to the beautiful community of Sonoma county and visitors abroad I wouldn’t recommend coming here. Unfortunately, I didn’t have a pleasurable experience. I still love Panda Express just not this one!
