Racist employee. Will never go back. First time at this restaurant. Placed a to go order in person and paid in advance. Came back in 20 mins to pick up food. Employee questioned me about payment. I told her I came in person, placed order and had already paid. She found package which was clearly marked as Paid on the paper bag but the lady continued to question me multiple times about whether I had paid.Lady is Asian and likely Japanese. I have dark complexion. Lady finally said I could take food which I took initially. But as I walked back to car, I couldnt get past the subtle if not overt racism exhibited. Went back and returned the food. Told them to keep their food. Didnt ask for a refund and I couldnt care less about the money.I have lived in Simi Valley for years and have found the people to be open, genuine, kind and friendly. But this individual was a piece of work. This is one of those times I am thankful I went to law school and have been practicing for almost 30 years and have the ability to make a difference.

09/12/2023 Love Sushi Simi Valley IncidentGood sushi, but TERRIBLE, HOSTILE waitress. The older Asian lady went as far as following us outside of the restaurant (2x) forcing us to tip & saying it was required by their restaurant’s policy. Otherwise she would choose any of the tipping option for us. & constantly putting a hand & shoving me & my partner when we decided to walk away from this closed end of a conversation & be stern with our customers rights & not tip her. How DARE she put a hand on us. I dont know if that is enough to be assault and battery, but its still wrong. NEVER going here again. I hope that everyone who read this never have a terrible traumatic experience like this. & take this to consideration. She was very aggressive, constantly yelling, & could NOT hold a civil conversation. After we reviewed the CA gratuity tipping laws, it is not required for the customer to tip unless it is a big party of 5(+) then there is a mandatory tipping policy which is totally understandable & #2) the employee cannot force the customer to tip when it’s not mandatory or part of the state’s tipping policy. We were a party of 2, ordered two sushi rolls & a water. We weren’t hostile, stressful, or messy customers. We simply ordered, politely ate, paid our bill & left. So we went back to the restaurant to genuinely politely ask for the proof of the force tip policy that she was speaking of. She wouldn’t give us proof of their restaurant policy instead resorting to unnecessary aggression, threats, & yelling. She also tried to lie & make it sound that we are mistreated her when that had nothing to do with what we are talking about. We simply asked for the proof of their restaurant policy which every food industry or business company always have a physical copy at hand. (which I know because I also have working in food & restaurant settings before and also had unpleasant experiences of my own & there was a system of where to go and what to do with those issues. & I have never heard of the forced tipping policy that she was speaking of before. & it doesn’t hurt to just politely ask about their restaurant policy.) We did not raised our voice, yell, insult nor interrupt her as she was speaking like how she was towards us. & from looking at past reviews on yelp & other sites, this unfairness & aggression of their waitresses seem like a reoccurring issue.
Indian Haweli
1750 E Los Angeles Ave B, Simi Valley, CA 93065, United States
As an adventurer of fine international cuisine, the fare of India has always been a favourite selection. As a resident of Simi Valley, I observed the presence of only two such dining services available. Having sampled one, I then proceeded to give Indian Haweli equal customer examination. The results were most delightful. The shahi paneer and chicken tikka masala were both exquisite topped over rice, with a pleasant side of samosas, aloo tikki, and the restaurants signature tandoori bread as a mop for excess sauce. It gave this one a sense of fantastically exotic taste and culinary delight that is a rare discovery among most dining experiences of the past. The staff gave a fond family reflection of the mutual joy shared in cooking and sharing the fare with satisfied customers. The interior decor complimented the culture and allowed diners to appreciate the taste of India, without travelling to the country, as beautiful as it is in the world. Pros: excellent food with delicious flavour, an attentive staff and an environment that pays tribute to the nation. Cons: some would argue that a limited buffet provides only too little a selection, but there is merit in such for the sake of maintaining resources to keep the diner functioning, without depleting its produce. A rating of 4.5 out of five stars is the vote of this customer. That lack of perfection is given for the sake of positive encouragement to always strive for improvement and progress, for with perfection comes no sense of making anything better. Its not the destination, but the journey. May all who visit the Indian Haweli leave with pleased satisfaction and the desire to return again, sooner or later, to enjoy the wonderful fare provided by this excellent testament of Indian cuisine. Thank you!

I had an Amazing delivery experience with WABA Grill. Not only was the online ordering process easy, and quick, but the delivery was pretty much on time (about 30 minutes late). Also, their plates are all very fairly priced Amazing, and HUGE!!! It was 2 FULL meals for me, but for light eaters, could easily be 3. Moving on, I have only ONE complaint, but thats ONLY for GRUBHUT, NOT WABA Grill. They said because they were late by about 30 minutes, that they would include something extra for free. Suffice to say, I didnt receive Anything Extra. So anyways, about WABA Grill, the one Im reviewing. I called to ask for extra (teriyaki?) sauce, as their plates and bowls were Amazingly good, but they were just a bit too dry. The person I spoke with was extremely nice, and very helpful. So what did they do? They didnt send 2-3 packets, or even a handful, but about 25-30 packs of it!!! To me, that was going above and beyond, for sure. Things like that make a Huge impact, to me, and just that will make me remember them over any other teriyaki restaurant. I still have sauce packets left, the flavor is amazing and could be used on any chicken, beef, or pork bowls, even. I RARELY ever write reviews, and almost NEVER this long. I hope this helps WABA Grill, even if just a bit, and hope it helps you decide to eat there. You wont be sorry!

We visited this restaurant based on the Google reviews. The place was very busy with carryout orders, we were the only dine in patrons. We waited longer than necessary for the only dine in customers. The waitress was extremely overwhelmed but was trying to be accommodating. She took our drink order but forgot to bring them when she returned to take our order after addressing carryout and phone orders There was an older gentleman assisting, maybe the owner. He brought my daughters orange chicken out along with my white rice, but nothing else. After 5 minutes I inquired with our waitress where our other plates were and she explained they were very busy but they would be out shortly. In the meantime a family of four (4) sat down to dine in. The waitress proceeded to take their order and bring their drinks. I again asked about our other dishes, my daughter only had chicken at the table and I only had white rice so we couldnt exactly eat. Then we see the waitress bring out to the other family two (2) dishes. While she was tending to them the older male brought out my appetizer and then proceeded to also deliver the other family the same appetizer. I stopped him before returning to the kitchen to inquire about the other half of our meal. He simply stated we are busy, but did not provide rationale as to why he brought her chicken and my rice without the corresponding dishes. Mind you it had been almost 10 minutes at this point. It was as if my concern was not understood or not a legitimate concern. When I asked our waitress about taking the chicken back for fresh / warm chicken she did not know what to do, I saw her brain overload as she paced back and forth twice before she grabbed place settings for a new family of four that sat down to dine in. She never responded to my question/concern. Needles to say after 15 or more minutes of our initial dishes sitting at the table they were cold when the remainder of our dishes arrived at the table. Ruined our experience all because they were under staffed on the night we decide to visit. Sigh. The food was good, but our attitudes were salty. In addition, they didnt even offer to discount our cold chicken and rice. BTW the rice was a la carte so I paid for cold white rice and the also over charged for one of my daughters dishes. This is the first time ever in our dinning experience that we left a mediocre time, I tip 20% or more and taught my children the same.

Hands Down the Best Sushi in SimiThe most pristine, delicious, generous sushi I have ever had in Simi Valley is at Izakaya Sushi K. Not only do they consistently serve the freshest fish I have experienced, they provide incredibly substantial portions as well. Everything I have ever ordered is made artistically pleasing and every bite is satisfying.I ordered the Lunch Combo for $17.95 this past week and it was beyond amazing. You get two abundant perfectly made rolls and miso soup. I chose the Hot Night Roll which has tempura shrimp with amazing tasting real crab meat and cucumber inside with avocado and spicy tuna outside, and drizzled in eel sauce. My other choice was the Hawaiian Roll which has spicy tuna and cucumber inside with tuna and avocado on the outside, drizzled with eel sauce and spicy mayo. They were incredible. They set the bar so high that nothing compares. I like to tip them well because they deserve to be recognized for being so exceptional. Not only is the food impeccable, they have the kindest, most genuinely gracious and friendly owners.I rarely take time to post reviews, however, they really should be acknowledged for all that they are and their impeccable food. It is the one sushi restaurant I can honestly say I have never had a disappointing experience with. I am looking forward to my next visit and many more after that.Update: Last two pictures are the Superman burrito from today. Completely and generously stuffed full of of deliciousness. The best one Ive had, because its just so fresh. Also priced better than places like Poke Bowl, and Poke Stop, not at such a higher quality. I absolutely recommend!

If i could i would rate this 0 stars! To start off i walked in and i was looking at the menu because i wasnt sure what i wanted, so i asked the server venecia for a sample and she gave me a very dirty look. So i told her nevermind im ready to order, once i told her what i wanted she rolled her eyes and rudely asked what else so i told her i wanted shrimp, she only served my 4 shrimps! If im paying 1.50 extra u expect to get at least the 7 shrimp they usually serve. I didnt tell her anything regarding the shrimp. She was ringing me up, i paid her and she just walked away. I went over to the soda machine and i realized she didnt give my my recipe! I walk over to her and tell her she didnt give me a receipt, she tells me yes i did its at the bottom of the bag, she checked the bag and nothing was there. She called over her manager and tells her she didnt give me the receipt and the manager tells me oh ill print out another one. She trys to print put another recipe and comes back telling me the system was down and to just give her my phone number and she would take a picture and send it to me. So i tell her well what about your policy if you dont get a receipt, the meal is on them and she looks at me confused and says what? And i point at the sign on her register and she looks at it, and tells oh, well i can give you a free combo too, just write down your number. So i gave her my number and she just walked away. I was expecting a paper or a voucher stating the next meal was on them, but nothing! The worst experience at a Panda Express. I will never go there again!

Absolutely rude. Ordered 3 meals and a kids meal. The kids meal had honey walnut shrimp as the item. The employee put just a few shrimp. When I asked for more, she said it comes with 4 and I gave you 5 with a negative rude tone. What happened to friendly service? Also chow mein ran out so I had to wait since one of my meals was missing it. She boxed my stuff and I asked is my chow mein in the last meal? She said yes again with a rude tone. Got home and it was missing! There are numerous food places near this establishment. Definitely bringing my business elsewhere with friendly employees that get the order right. My best advice, if they run out of something, check before you leave thats its in the box. I am beyond irritated. I do not like paying for something and not receiving it!

The sushi is very good the prices are pretty high and the fact that they accompany your meal with bread is rather strange for an Asian sushi restaurant Some of my visits have been great others very mediocre
