Little Thai Kitchen
2533 Folex Way Suite.A, Spring Valley, CA 91978, United States
I Came. I Saw. I Ate.TLDR: Worth a try for Thai food lovers and the curious out there, but nothing that outdoes all other thai food--------Just opened today and i must say i hope they are here to stay. Was better than most Thai around here and the specials are a reasonable price. Hopefully they can keep this impetus of fair quality at a reasonable price while having a modest but presentable dining area. Staff are nice and are eager to express appreciation for your patronage, and restrooms were clean albeit a little rank. I think thats the fault of the plumbing. Now on to the food review...Thai food is known for its spicy, sweet, and savory flavors and it delivers on all aspects, though Spice Lords may not find a challenge here. Also, something to know is that if your thai food tastes a little bit different its not because oh, they dont make it right here!; Thai food is incredibly diverse within its own genre and theres many ways to play off the base ingredients. If you dont like the taste despite it being made well, though not how you normally like it, then just get it somewhere else! Its that simple. Sampling the most well known entrees via lunch special- Shrimp Pad Thai, Shrimp Tom Yum, Chicken Tom Kha, and Red Curry -I can say this about their flavor: All were very good for the price, though i was mildly disappointed with the viscosity of the curry. I blame it on the container for not letting it breathe and become the more or less sauce-like consistency Ive frequently had. It was more like a soup, but again thats mostly up to preference, and the flavor was good! Also, the pork meat in the curry was was nothing to write home about. It basically did its job and thats it, but youre also not paying the prices for extravagant cuts of pork. Another thing for those who do appreciate authentic garnishes. There was no fish sauce, crushed or powdered peanuts, or chili oil to put atop my Pad Thai. No question from the staff if I wanted them included either. It doesnt lose them any credit on the score, but those do a lot for customers who enjoy those garnishes. Its understandable that these requests may be out there for the average American customer, and therefore not readily included or mentioned. Last, but not least- the Thai Tea was good, but nothing outstanding from other places. In conclusion: quite good; hope it only gets better from here, and hope it sticks around. Spring Valley NEEDS places like this and other cultured restaurants to get it out of the hick in the stick, Emerald Ghetto border town of San Diego label. Thai Kitchen, youre fighting an uphill battle my friend. Hope you succeed.
Panda House
9330 Jamacha Blvd, Spring Valley, CA 91977, United States
I went here for my cousins graduation with 14 other people and they seated all of us. After the ladies took our orders they came out in segments but we didnt wait long. The portions are gigantic and definitely worth what you pay. I personally ordered the Chicken cutlet with steamed rice and when it came out I was shocked to see how much chicken there was. Id definitely come back. Everyone else with me ordered the Sunday lunch special which was for $5.95 and you could select an entree that was listed beneath the offer that came with an egg flower soup, a piece of panko fried shrimp, and your choice of rice whether it be fried or steamed. The lady told the ones who ordered it that the portions would be slightly smaller but to me there was still a massive amount of food you get for the amount of money you pay. I highly recommend this place to anyone craving Chinese food.
Leocynns Lumpia
8360 Paradise Valley Rd, Spring Valley, CA 91977, United States
I stopped in today to get lumpia for the first time. I have passed this business for years and never stopped but today I decided to try it out. Walking up there are signs posted regarding social distancing and wearing a mask. They only take cash. The gentleman was short in speaking and was very rude. If customer service is what your looking for, then this is not the place for you. I ordered 25 pork lumpia which was $25. He told me it would take about 20 minutes to fry and he would call my name. HE took my name down and took my money. 20 minutes passed and I walked back to the door where he slammed my order on the table. ? I said, THANK YOU He did not respond, so I said it again and he said, Your Welcome. I told him to have a great weekend. There was silence then he said, You too. I guess I am just wondering why are we so angry? The lumpia was very GOOD, its a shame I wont be returning to buy more. His attitude is horrible I wont give my money to someone whos customer service is horrible

SUPEEEERB! Like im very picku with filipino food esp karekare. The flavor is soooo unique and its exactly i want my kare kare.(except i like bokchoy on it or thicker slices of eggplant) BUT still Nothing beats this kare kare! My boyfriend got sisig bowl. And yessss its also good. This is the best yet so far! I just really hope they stay consistent with amount serving because one bowl serving you can eat it for 2 meals ? depends on appetite… Service is friendly as well!i am kapampangan, have high standards in food.but this one really beat most of the filipino food in SD

Food was great, but we did not enjoy the rap/hip hop music. I get that the young girl behind the counter liked bouncing around to it and singing along but as a customer who wanted a peaceful, quiet dinner in an Asian restaurant it was not relaxing.
Pho And Grill International
9676 Campo Rd, Spring Valley, CA 91977, United States
Sundays at a Vietnamese Pho place are a gentle mix of families coming in after church, couples who just got back from a day of hitting markets and people hungover from the night before. I'll let you guess which demographic I belong to on my recent visit.Parking a plenty, nice large sign, freshly paved parking lot too. They have lime plants as their landscaping, kinda cool.I already know I want pho and a bahn mi or pho and an appetizer or pho and a rice dish, oh and a thai tea. I wasn't ready for a Vietnamese coffee.Décor is nice, music not too loud, not quite loud enough to drawn out the 2 annoyed groups of female guests yacking on about some 20 year old first world problems. We are brought 2 glasses of half-filled water and lemons. Combo #1 Large pho with egg noodles, no flank, extra tripe. I was thankful this includes a meatball because how could any combo not. Softshell crab but topped with “salt” & pepper. I think you know why I singled out the salt here. The softshell crab already has a dipping sauce which was actually quite good and probably all you would need, but I always have to be difficult. Decent crunch, but I wasn't a huge fan of it being broken up. A proper crab should be cooked whole. Lemongrass chicken was all onions, barely sautéed, the timing on ingredients is key when doing chicken and onions. The sauce was more hoisin-y and the chicken as dry. The heat level 9 was a 3, all pepper, rice was dry, like super dry. I'd hope by noon on a Sunday the rice would be on its 2nd batch, but probably was from the night before, no way rice dries that fast made that day, unless the cooker was left open. Bahn mi was a little expensive, but look good. They need to address their service as the owner? who took my order was great, but the 2nd employee not food running was rarely seen, not looking after tables whatsoever, sloppy on the thai tea fill and missed the “no boba” part of the order. I'll definitely come back again, but have much lower expectations of service. Every table had no/low water and had to make multiple requests for it. Prices are decent and I am a fan of the stand-alone location as it gives them better lighting. I don't recall seeing a fish tank which is almost religion for a Vietnamese restaurant.
Snoice
8423 Paradise Valley Rd # B, Spring Valley, CA 91977, United States
I really wanted to give this location a 5 star, however, we normally visit their other location in Convoy area (which is very welcoming, by the way). We come to snoice mainly for the same 2 items, a custom halo halo and a tiger MT w/flan - Convoy location has never given us a hard time with modifications given that the upcharge is the same as if we were to decide to modify a drink topping instead. Paradise Valley location (Alex) gave us such a hard no and blamed it due to their store manager being very strict about modifications. If the upcharge is the same, why does it matter so much what we ask for when it comes to the topping? Not to mention, this location simply does not have a welcoming atmosphere nor welcoming staff as we were not greeted when entering the shop.
Fusion Grill
1906 Vista Del Lago Dr D, Valley Springs, CA 95252, United States
I HAD to give 1 star, but zero stars is deserved. The meal experience began poorly. When the waitress took our drink order I asked what the selections were. She pointed across the room to a glass cabinet. The waitress didnt know what what was in The cabinet. I told her I couldnt see as the cash register and counter the register was on top of hindered the view of the selections. She rolled her eyes and stomped her way to the cabinet, opened it and held up the 1 sake choice they offered. It was the size of a wine bottle, not a feasible portion for 1 person. She was Very rude and acted disgusted that I even asked. My bill was left on the table before I was presented with my entree and i wasnt even asked if i wanted anything else. She had to adjust the bill because we werent finished and more items were ordered. The staff should spend less time on their cell phones and chattering amongst themselves...maybe they would know some restaurant selections and not drop the bill off before the entrees are presented. What was ordered was mediocre, at best. The service was the worst Id ever experienced. The fried rice that was served was cold. I dont have a large physique so I eat smaller portions. I wasnt allowed to take the portion left with me of the Mongolian bbq. Ive been to many other Mongolian bbq places and a to go container was always provided. Theyre just going to dispose it. I dont understand this policy. Although, The table next to me ordered Mongolian bbq to go, sat down and ate it at the table. I pointed this out when I was told I couldnt have a to go container. But was given an unreasonable response.I dont know how this restaurant is in business. Their food is gross and their customer service is below poor. I will never bring friends or family to this establishment again. The 1 star rating is much more than than fusion grill earned. I do not recommend this establishment.
Good Friends Chinese Restaurant
9 California St, Valley Springs, CA 95252, United States
Driving thru. Up to Sonora, I looked up Asian restaurants near me & was recommended so on my list. Its a nostalgic Asian Buffet, with lots to choose from, so my pix would do no justice (+ I would have to plate it pretty & Im at a Buffet) who does pretty plating when u go to such place? Friendly service, sushi ? section to meats fried Rice and noodles. Lots of Appetizer & dont forget about the dessert bar! From Asian macrons to 8 you scoop ice-cream varieties. And of course won ton & egg drop soups, BUT The dessert ? made the pic cut. Mmm...
