3355 Asian grill
1955 Torrance Blvd, Torrance, CA 90501, United States
I dont want to invest too much more time or energy to this joke of an establishment, but people deserve fair warning - I would give zero stars if possible. I took my boyfriend here for a nice dinner after a very long day, hoping for a pleasant, new experience. We not only Recieved the opposite, but were so offended at the quality of service that Ive complied a list of points to consider before visiting here.1. If you are brown skinned, African American in particular, do not come here. The mediocre food is not worth the lousy service laced with racism. Ill come back to this later.2. The food is, as previously stated, mediocre - to be generous. We started with appetizers to wait for the main course, but the main course was never ordered due to the horrendous quality of food and presentation. My shrimp fried rice was lukewarm and gummy, the ramen was literally maruchan top ramen and it was all served with stale Tostitos accompanied by a skimpy dish of sloppy salsa.3. My water was not once refilled, and when i got up to ask the waiter for a refill & Sriracha sauce, he came back to my table 10 minutes later empty handed and said Oh sorry, I thought you said Tabasco. At first, my boyfriend and I looked at each other in confusion, wondering if there was some subliminal racism in that comment, when all of a sudden, a ratchet hood song started blasting from the speakers. We could clearly hear unapologetically loud laughter coming from the kitchen where the staff was gathered. Disgusted by the whole atmosphere, I approached the front desk for my check, where the hostess stood. As I neared, she made eye contact with me, turned and left the counter, where I waited 5 minutes for anyone to acknowledge me. When paying, the clerk tossed my change on the counter instead of putting it in my hand as if I was a leper. This place does not deserve your patronage or hard earned money, and it will certainly never again have mine. Take your support someplace where they actually care about their guests.Shame on this establishment.
Seafood Port Chinese Restaurant
21180 Hawthorne Blvd, Torrance, CA 90503, United States
I am not the type that would put my negative opinion on google but this was uncalled for and under this circumstance by the owner toward patronage. We gather here with friends every month so I come here very often for the past several years. Today we were disappointed after we were severed our dessert that came with our meal because we couldn't pack our leftover dessert. Two of our family members went outside to change the kid so we want to pack their desserts to go but the stingy owner didn't allow us and took the box away from me before I even tried to pack the dessert. When I went to confront the owner, she responded with a rude attitude that “if you can't finish your dessert then you can't take it home.” This is absurd over a bowl of the desert and that the owner is willing to risk losing loyal patronage. Maybe she wanted to save it and serve it again to another customer. As we walk away, we indicated that we will not be back again and again her respond was rude, unusual and unprofessional. She said this out loudly “don't come back again.” She cared less about patronage repeat customer. From an owners perspective, that was a ridiculous response.
Angara Indian Restaurant
2170 Torrance Blvd, Torrance, CA 90501, United States
If I could give this place 10 Stars I would. Theres not a lot of atmosphere like there used to be before the new owners took over but the food is good good good great! If you go in for dinner service is good. if you go in the best time that would be all you can eat buffet so you serve yourself so your own service is pretty good. I could go on forever about this restaurant and the people who work there but I know Im limited to how much I can say. I go around to all the Indian restaurants I like to do new ones all the time but by far this is my number one. Bombay Tandoori on PCH is my second choice out of all the Indian restaurants throughout the years that Ive been going to.Angaras Buffet is inexpensive you get lots of choices of different Indian foods and theyre all delicious and theyre not overly spiced on the buffet they tone it down for the General Public. At dinner you can have mild medium or hot if you like. I tell anybody that will listen about how good this restaurant is strangers anybody and some of these people have gone and tried Indian food for their first time and agreed with me the food was delicious! Mexican food used to be my favorite until I tried Indian food many many years ago and Mexican food moved to second choice. Even my Hispanic friends that Ive told about this restaurant turned out going back several times they loved the food. If youre new to Indian food I recommend trying the chicken tikka masala the rice and the naan . And the naan is great when you use the gravy from the chicken tikka marsala. These are great beginners.
P.F. Changs
3525 W Carson St R7 #166, Torrance, CA 90503, United States
Visited a PF Changs after a long time, and thoroughly disappointed with the experience! I guess theres a good reason why their branches are closing down. The menu is a skinnied down version of what it used to be, and unfortunately even the few dishes left on their menu are bland, insipid and totally not worth the prices. We would have probably preferred the food at Panda Express over their food, as everything we tried was very disappointing. Will not be visiting a PF Changs again. There are MUCH better Asian restaurants in the area.
Panda Express
3825 Torrance Blvd, Torrance, CA 90503, United States
Today is Sunday July, 30 2023 at 10:11pm. I just left your establishment. I ordered a side of veggies and a side a rice. The young lady who took my order needs to learn better customer service etiquette. Initially, I asked for white rice, she gave fried rice, I repeated to her that I wanted white rice,, she said they did not have it, so I left it as it was. I had to wait for the veggies to finish cooking, which I had no problem with. Here is the start of my real issue began. The veggies were ready, sitting on top of the county. The young man/cashier saw the veggies, looked at everybody else's plate who was waiting for something to which I only can assume was to see if they where waiting for veggies, but did not bother to look at my order or decided to ignore my order because there were people ahead of me and took the veggies and poured them in their serving tray dismissing my order. The young lady then came out to assist him, I simply told here the veggies were ready, because the young man/cashier overlooked my order. She reply's, there are other people waiting. Obviously, I know that and I don't know what they are waiting for, I know what I am waiting for and my food is paid for. If a customer has paid for their food, and it is ready to be served, the goal for service is to eliminate every paid order out of the queue as quickly and effectively as possible, as least that would be my thought process in the matter, and what I have experience at other Panda Expresses. The bigger dilemma for me is the young lady's approach to servicing customers. Her demeanor and attitude was off putting and very unforgiving. You do not tell a customer who is simply pointing out to you that their order is ready to be packaged and bagged, that other people are waiting before them. If you could not get to completing my order, which was technically ready, at the moment, the proper phrasing should have been, “As soon as I complete this order or these orders, I will have yours ready for you. I do apologize for the wait.” I was already taken aback that my order was over looked by the young man/cashier, and her demeanor and the phrasing she chose to use did not help the matter. I am not one to write reviews, and I am very forgiving. But being tactful in how you deal and talk to customers in the hospitality industry can help avoid certain issues. It does not matter the hour service is given, whether it be you starting your shift or you closing the shift, good, quality customer service should be at the forefront for anyone working in the hospitality industry. This was my first visit to this location, but considering all things, I will stick to the Panda Expresses that I am use to. Train these people who work for your company, proper customer services etiquette. I get that some customers can be a handful, but your attitude and demeanor can be the difference making or breaking you and your customers day.Be Well.
Pick Up Stix Fresh Asian Flavors
24231 Crenshaw Blvd Suite A, Torrance, CA 90505, United States
Pick Up Stix is a great fast food restaurant for fresh Asian food. The food is very flavorful and is made to order. I think that alone makes Pick Up Stix so good. Fresh-made food that’s not sitting under lamps. Every time I come, my food is always hot, never cold, and is delicious. This restaurant was clean, and the lady behind the counter was welcoming. My go-to dish is the House Special. On this particular day, my family and I ordered the House Special, Mongolian Beef, Orange Chicken, and Cashew Chicken, all with white rice. We took it to go, and when we arrived home ready to dig in, the food was still steaming hot! Everything was mouth-watering good! Yum yum yum!

Gyu-Kaku Japanese BBQ
24631 Crenshaw Blvd, Torrance, CA 90505, United States
Update: Ive come a few more times since my last review and lately the quality and value have dropped somewhat. The AYCE menus have increased in price which is understandable but they also moved some of our favorite options to the more expensive menus. I used to be able to dine with my wife for around $60-65/each with tax and tip but its now closer to $85+. The quality of the meats seem to have slipped somewhat but perhaps I was just unlucky with the cuts we received. I was hoping that paying higher prices was going to result in better quality but that has not been the case. The bathrooms are still not great and the dining room seems to be less clean as well. Ill give this place another shot or two but due to the cost it might be awhile considering other options in this price range.Original Review: Great Japanese BBQ spot. You pick out your meats and they bring them out for you to grill at your table. The flavors and quality are solid and happy hour prices on beer and saki are great. Service could be a little bit more quick and we have had dirty utensils (cooking tongs) that we had to send back for replacement but otherwise we really enjoy this spot over and over. One thing that is really concerning is that the bathrooms are a complete disaster. Filthy floors (5 minutes after restaurant had opened), sink and wall urinal separated from the wall, peeling caulk and water damage. One wonders if this is how the restaurant cleans what the customer can see, what are they doing behind the scenes where we cant see... I still eat here but if I get sick I wont have anyone to blame but myself.
