First if you check my postings on Google you will see that almost all of them are five stars. It really takes a lot for me to write a review like this. The house special looked nothing like the picture and was at least 70% rice. I was really surprised. At first I thought it was a big side dish of fried rice that came with the meal. It did taste good but was described as being mostly meat & egg protein. I was really looking forward to the mix. My friend wanted to switch up his pho with different noodles. The server seemed really annoyed that it would cost us more to get what we want. It was an issue of like $3, we spent over $30. And quite frankly she was kind of rude and also annoyed that we werent making up our menu choices quick enough. The place wasnt that busy. It wasnt even close to half full. I also found it annoying that they were playing political news the entire time we were there. The station they were watching was one of the ones that is so far in One Direction its impossible to take them seriously. The announcers are constantly upset and everythings an impossible crisis. Really inappropriate if you want a mixed clientele. This isnt the only pho restaurant near the Claremont Colleges. I was really hungry so I finished my order and my friend who usually devours his didnt even finish half of it, he was completely unsatisfied. I will be going somewhere else next time.

Great coffee just as expect from a Vietnamese restaurant! Service was prompt and courteous. The food we ordered was great. Good selection of ethnic dishes not Americanized. This is my first time here. But I have had same food in Little Saigon and Rosemead. Which is to Say This place for being out of the Asian community. Is worth coming back to.And for me it will be on my Favorite Asian restaurant list.

My wife and I have been going to this restaurant for over ten years now. Food has always been good but the service just keeps getting worse and worse. Main problem, our Food has rarely brought out together.Tonight was the final straw. My wife was basically done with her food by the time I got mine. My food for some reason took like a half hour tonight, which it never has before.So I ask our waitress,”Excuse me, I ordered my food like a half hour ago. Could you tell me how much longer please?”She could have just said,”I am so sorry! Let me just go back to the kitchen and see.”Instead, she said (paraphrasing), “I don’t know. I’m not in the kitchen cooking your food, am I.”Wife n I were shocked. It was almost comical how rude her response was. It was like we were on some hidden camera show.Our server was the thin Asian young lady that other reviewers have specifically complained about. Not sure why she bothers to work there with an attitude like that.Suffice to say, our last time eating there.

Wow, super impressed with the quality, presentation, and immense love in this food. They nailed it! Spices, aromatics, visual, quality ingredients... I came in last night thinking it would be the typical Indian style vegetarian with vegan options food like so many other restaurants, but from the moment I got there the waiter was very knowledgeable and enunciated everything perfectly. They asked if I wanted ice in my water which is very important from a yogic perspective, and the food is just wow, perfectly cooked with love from the University of grandma and grandpa, with layers of aromatic flavors that just go so well together.That's what first sold me on Indian food way back when. Flavor combinations that never occurred to me to be so amazing, like spicy, aromatic, sweet and savory folded and layered into oh so stimulating and sensuous ways!Like I said earlier, they nailed it. I ordered the Thali dinner modified for vegans, with seasonal vegetable, I chose baby eggplant with yams. They knew exactly what to do, all vegan items, the rice was fluffy and flavorful, papadam, roti that looked and tasted just like chapati (waiter informed me it's the same thing, good to know), salad, pickled veggies and tamarind chutney, a flavorful aromatic sumbar to sip, a lightly spiced lentil dal with navy bean, a fried potato cake with Indian spices, another fried ball with a legume of some kind and a good amount of garlic, and the main course was so amazing, curry of the seasonal vegetables which were the star of the plate. I'm dreaming of it right now. Also ordered an almond milk chai masala tea, tasted like it was made to order with toasted spices and fresh ginger in black tea. I believe it, their menu says they don't use microwaves, which is HUGE for me.Come check it out and see for yourself!!

Very disappointed. I came here about 3 weeks ago, no complaints. However, tonight was horrible. I got the chicken rice veggie bowl. When I opened it I could actually see the bottom if the bowl. Very little rice. The veggies were cold and not all the way cooked. I ordered the taco trio for my husband ( meaning 1 of each taco). The cashier took it upon himself to make them all 3 chicken. Asked for green onions and sauce on the side ( which I didnt get). His food was cold as well.For the prices we are paying now day you would expect ppl to actually prepare you food the way they would like their food. For the cashier. Maybe next time make eye contact with you customers. If I did something wrong on ordering my food ASK QUESTIONS.

So the 3 stars is for the food. It was actually quite delicious! I say actually due to the fact that when entering the restaurant and waiting for your food, it looks as though the place is going through a renovation or as if theyre about to go out of business. That was my initial assumption (we had never been here before), however, Ive read reviews from quite some time ago that demonstrate that to be not true. They apparently always have the inside this way.Then, when we got home and checked our food we found out our edamame was not in the bag, but there were 3 small cups of miso soup. I didnt know what it was though and due to allergies we called the restaurant. The staff remembered us (expected as there werent many customers) and apologized and explained what happened. They also told us to mention it next time we come in and theyll give us an edamame. Appreciate the courtesy and immediately acknowledging the issues. Very professional. I think because of this service after experiencing an issue and how they resolved it, despite the look of the restaurant inside, Ill give this place another chance to redeem themselves in the future. Im hoping they clean up the inside and make it more like a sushi restaurant. Currently its mostly just the bar and then a bunch of tables and chairs stacked in corners (that are apparently always like that). Foods good, restaurant not so much. Theres a lot of potential here.

This is by far the worst flame broiler Ive been to. Ive given them a few opportunities realizing anyone can have a bad day. They ALWAYS disappoint! Today I ordered a chicken bowl with avocado. I specifically asked for extra crispy extra cooked chicken. It seemed pretty simple instructions; however, they botched it...again. My chicken was not well cooked. Some of it seemed raw in the center so I tossed it. I did not want to risk it. Im 100% convinced that they do not care to satisfy customers. It has happened before. The avocado was spoiled black with 70% dark brown/black spots everywhere. I tossed all of it out. The rice was the only thing that was fine. It was a ToGO order and did not have time to go back so Im out $12. With the previous bad customer service, I will NOT be going back!
