Tom Yum Goong Thai Restaurant
88 A Peabody Rd, Vacaville, CA 95687, United States
The best thai food in vacaville, fairfield, dixon area. Homemade egg rolls made with love. The best! The best tom kha soup around. Bursting with flavors, you can taste and see the spices like lemon grass. Its just awesome! Their beef pad see ew is very authentic. It has the delicious burnt taste just like you had it in Asia. They are the only Thai restaurant that got the taste right hands down. We tried many other dishes in their menu. Never disappoint. The restaurant is very clean. The owners Ray and Jane are the nicest hard working people that will go above and beyond to make sure you got excellent dining experience. We have eaten there many times and many to-gos. Always happy. Give them a try! You will love it.

I have been on the quest for a great pad thai in the NoCal area for some time now. Most of the popular places have failed to live up to the hype and expectations. I came here because my friend and I were hungry and saw it by chance as we were leaving Raleys. Upon entering, it smelled like freshly cooked white rice. An all familiar smell to those who grew up Asian, and often is a good sign of any Asian restaurant. We were greeted by a single women behind the kitchen counter. She took our order and we waited less than 15 minutes for a red thai curry and pad thai. They were the best thai dishes I have had since I left the East coast. The pad thai was beyond flavorful and morphed every single bite. It was complex, deep in various flavor profiles (sweet, sour, savory), and had elements of what I see in amazing cooking- it tastes like someone actually cared about what they were making. This is what thai food would taste like if it was your grandma making it. Homely, humble, and nothing can compare. The red thai curry hit enough sweetness and had layers of flavor. The amount and variety of vegetables used far exceeded my expectations and what Ive seen in literally all of the other restaurants in the surrounding area. Im shocked as to why theyre not booming in business as this is easily one of the best spots in the area.I have found my culinary white whale and write this review for fellow weary foodies who are bored of under sauced, one note, bland, no dimension carrying pad thai and uninspiring red thai curry. Please, take my word on it- you wont regret it.

Being from the DMV area, I have high standards for Indian cuisine. While I wouldnt say this was the best Indian food Ive ever had, I would still give it high marks. Some restaurants tend to add excessive masala, but here it was well balanced and not overwhelming. We loved our Chana Masala, regular and garlic naan. The Pani Puri water was on the sweeter side but still enjoyable. I would recommend this place to anyone who enjoys South Asian cuisine, especially Nepali, Indian, or Pakistani food.
Panda Express
1450 E Monte Vista Ave, Vacaville, CA 95688, United States
I have been going to the Panda Express in Vacaville for years. As a vegetarian for the past 40 years, I was able to enjoy their eggplant tofu dish which was very good. Now the Vacaville Panda has decided to take the one vegetarian dish they had off the menu. They now have the dubious distinction of being the only Asian restaurant Ive ever been in where there is nothing that I can eat. Disappointing.
Pho Lee Hoa Phat 4

Ive never eaten here and never will. I came here for the first time today to try their Pho and was DISGUSTED with their clean practices in the time of covid. The cashier will not let you place your card in the card machine he insists on taking the card which means he is handling all cards and cash. There is a cup of dirty pens that are reused with each customer and not cleaned at all. The cashier was wearing a pair of gloves that he never changed. He went into the back WITH THOSE SAME GLOVES and started packing food . The thing that disturbed me most was I saw him pick up something and drop it into my food container from the counter WITH THOSE SAME GLOVES! When I mentioned that he should be changing his gloves he informed me that he knows his job. He also told me he did not put anything into my food as if I didnt just watch him do it. Eat here if you want but if this is an indication of their clean practices there is NO TELLING what is in your food. $10 wasted.

I try not to blast businesses but I cant sit quite.Tonight, I had dinner with a friend at this restaurant. We witnessed the restaraunt manager, Ken have a verbal altercation with an employee. The employee proceeded to walk off the job. Ken followed her, placed his hands on her, and locked her into the womens restroom. A customer questioned Ken regarding the manner, Ken replied, shut up, this is my restraunt I speak to my employees how I want. Several of the patrons spoke with the employee and are willing to help her get legal help. Employees tried to protect her and a few were also witnessed crying out of fear for her. After speaking to many employees this evening I have discovered they violate many labor laws. They do not receive required breaks or their lunch no matter how long they have worked. They do not receive overtime and are often denied time off even if sick. Minors are serving alcohol and some even consuming it while on the clock. They also do not follow work permit guidelines for Minors provided by schools. The employees I spoke with said they are afraid to speak out because they need the job. EXTREMELY ANNOYED by all of this. The food is good but this is the last time I will leave my money here and Im not staying quiet ?.
Wah Sing Mongolian BBQ & Hot Pot
2018 Nut Tree Rd, Vacaville, CA 95687, United States
Still so annoyed after last night's dinner experience. Went for “all you can eat bbq.” We've been here enough to know that if you take one small bowl it makes a mess trying to stack the meat and sauce on top of the noodles and you leave hungry or have to jump back in line for another 5-10 minutes to get a little more food. Well here I am, hugely pregnant and super hungry.. I used two bowls to take a modest amount of food to the grill (which by the way I did end up eating every last bit of it.) One employee who obviously had time on her hands, made a point to march up to me and ask me to move to the other side of the buffet (for no apparent reason as the only person behind me was my husband). Then sounded annoyed and told me “only grab one bowl per person next time…” Well, if she wants to get technical, I'm carrying two people inside of me. Lol.She then sat there and watched my mother who we brought as a guest from out of town and got on her about “one bowl per person next time.” To be honest, I don't know if we will come back “next time” after dealing with her attitude. Funny how quick she was to run up on us in the buffet line but didn't have the time to come seat us for quite a while when we walked in.Embarrassing to bring a guest from a town that had a lovely Mongolian Grill whose owner and staff were generous and treated customers like family. Not scolding and stingy over a few extra noodles at an “all you can eat” restaurant. My husband finished his one bowl, and left feeling slightly hungry because there was a line to get more. For nearly spending $100 on food, two drinks and a tip, you'd think you could treat customers better than that. Stop calling yourself “all you can eat” and charging so much if your employees are going to shame the customers for getting enough food.

Was in a hurry to get home after a dentist appointment. Hungry and wanted to try 0ut this new South Asian Restaurant based on Singapore dishes. Had the Laksa and it was an incredible mix of coconut milk and broth with noodles. This was good enough I ordered other items via Door Dash with Hianese Chicken and Noodle and Beef Tripe. All still great

TLDR: GIVE THEM A CHANCE, you and your belly will be happy you did!Authentic, delicious, good portions, v. reasonably priced, staff is super nice.Great variety, come on now, Thai, Laotian, AND Cambodian cuisine under the same restaurant! This place is a rare find, especially in NorCal. They live up to their name TLC Licious! They give Los Angeles Thai Town a run for their money, seriously, and Im from LA.Give them a chance, Id love for them to stay as long as they want in Vacaville. The exterior may not be fancy, and I know their focus is on excellent food and customer service.Support your small local businesses, especially those that deserve it the most! They can only thrive with our support!Side note:My partner dropped their credit card by mistake and Som called us back immediately to let us know. That was v. kind of them. She's a sweetheart!
