This review is of Dec 17th 2023 —This time we took for lunch Dhokla & Matar Paneer as Togo . Dhokla's were made fresh it was light & fluffy, fresh & delicious!!! Kudos to them for making this dish fresh from the scratch… Dhokla's went prepared fresh has an amazing taste.Matar paneer was good too just as we like light spicy & homemade taste. We have also tried various other dishes as we visit frequently- Makki di Roti & Sarso da saag - amazing dish very tasty just as mom makes at home their Makki roti was so soft we all enjoyed it very much ….. Gobi Manchurian, Samosa Chaat, Combo - Shahi Paneer & Dal Makhani, Hakka Noodles, Batata ( Potato) Vada ( same as Vada Pav minus the Pav) I am obsessed with this dish it's my comfort food always…Everything we have tried we enjoyed it very much including our friends too… we have also tried their sweets which are yummy… as I said earlier we enjoyed all the dishes, their quality, taste & flavors are amazing.Sorry can't write in detail too much had to cut short my review….This review is of - last week of Oct 2023Been waiting for The Tasty Temptations to open in our neighborhood for couple of months ... its in the same vicinity as Safeway, Mr Pickles & other businesses so parking is no issue at all lots of area for parking.Since they have opened few days back (Tues- 10/24) not all the items mentioned in the online menu is available right now...eventually they will follow the entire menu .... right now they are focusing on the items displayed on their display menu board. This restaurant only serves vegetarian food .We ordered few items for ToGo -Vada pav - (2 Pieces) - $10.99Experience the iconic flavors of Mumbai with Vada Pav - a spicy potato fritter sandwiched in a soft bun, a street food sensation thats both fiery and fulfilling. The Vada was really big & perfect balance of spice & flavors... Vada Pav is very close to my heart its a childhood nostalgia so had to have it... its made Mumbai style served with 2 chutneys (green-spicy & brown-sweet) along with fried Chillies thats the way its served in most parts of Mumbai... I loved it very much with Chillies which gave that extra spicy kick.Chole Bhature - $ 12.99 (served with 2 Bhature)Bhole Chature is a popular Indian street food originating from North India. It consists of deep-fried, puffy bread served with a spicy and tangy potato curry, creating a mouthwatering combination of textures and flavors.A quirky spin on Delhis fave dish Chole Bhature, this Bhature was small then the other Bhature (regular size is very big) which we are use too ... but it was pretty good fresh & tasty. I had asked for mild chole (garbanzo beans) which we enjoyed it maybe u can ask as per ur level of spice preference.Rajma Rice - $ 10.99 (nice generous portion)Rajma Rice is a comforting North Indian dish that combines tender kidney beans cooked in a rich tomato gravy, served alongside fluffy basmati rice. This hearty and flavorful combination is a favorite for those seeking a satisfying and wholesome meal.Made very well the beans were creamy & soft thats the sign of good Rajma, the curry had nice balance of flavors. It went very well with the pickled onion, Chilli & mango pickle.Samosa - Large (2 Pieces) -$6.99Our Large Samosa is a savory masterpiece - a generous triangular pastry filled with a flavorful blend of spiced potatoes and peas, encased in a golden, crispy crust. Its a hearty and satisfying snack thats perfect for sharing.Very nice flavors & fresh to taste nice size of Samosas went very well with the chutneys ( green & brown) .Overall really liked the food taste & quality, everything was prepared fresh. They also have various snacks & sweets which are nicely arranged in the display shelves.Restaurant was clean & nicely decorated. Ambiance was very nice. Nice seating arrangement ample place. Both the partners were very friendly & patiently explained their menu to the customers. Will definitely come back to try sweets, savory snacks & other items from their menu.

Waikiki Hawaiian BBQ

This location use to house a nasty chinese place and I was hoping I would like this place better, but sadly, I did not.We finally got over there to try it today, July 24th, 2023, and it was just okay. It will not be a go to place, it will be a one and done. We ordered online, pickup was easy. I dont know why but they dont give any sauces to go except what came with our potstickers. Speaking of which, I saved those to heat up tomorrow when I have time to pan fry them longer they are nowhere near pan fried enough, very doughy, not like they should be. Sauce that came with them I didnt try because its overpowering with the smell of vinegar.Kahlua pork first impression was, I will not eat those meat chunks. One thing I cannot stand are chunks of meat served to me and thats how they serve theirs. Its not shredded like normal, its just big gross chunks. I ate one very small bite just so I could review it, and it wasnt good at all. It tastes like it was soaked in water, zero flavor except for the taste of old water. I do not recommend this dish.We also had the combo of teriyaki chicken, steak and short ribs. I tried them all and even though I usually love these dishes, I didnt like a single one of them here. They each have an odd flavor that I cant place, they are just a little bit off, like something thats going sour, its weird. Could be their sauce, I dont know but none of the meats were good. I dont recommend them either. I even tried using the teriyaki sauce from our fave place and it didnt help at all, still has a weird going bad taste to it. They did not send any teriyaki sauce home with us which I thought was odd, maybe you have to ask for it but we ordered three meats teriyaki, you would think they would include extra sauce. Hubby liked their macaroni salad. We wont be back. July, 2023.

Avoid at all cost. Reviews are fake & is no where close to 4stars1), the lady who answered the call is super rude to make a reservation and said if we don't show up by 2:15pm our reservation would be gone, because they are super busy!We arrived at the restaurant 15min after the call and see hardly 2 tables occupied. Wonder what is the swag about?Red flag: Why did we not simply find another place to go? We continued2)When we opened the door it smells stinky, the smallest we expect from unventilated places.Red flag: we should have choosen to walkout, but didn't3)ordered Tom ka and Tom yam soup. That too large two pots. Only to find both are yucky with very high savory liquids and uncooked chicken. No one liked it in our group of 9.Red flag: Tomka soup has no galangal nor the bamboo shoot nor the coconut milk. Not even one peice . It's simply savor.3)chicken satay is cold and has no seasoning in it . But,better than the soup we did not eat/drink moments before. The peanut sauce is at best bland.4)red curry is ok, still needs seasoning & white rice is hard than usual which is an extra charge.5)chicken fried rice has no seasoning, but consumable, but portion size is so small we have to get two more6) pineapple fried rice is horrible with chilly flakes all over and it's unacceptable for human consumption. Remind we eat a hell lot of spicy food. But this is simply horrible7)kids are hungry so we took a chance at veg spring rolls and they eat then with no fuss. So assuming they are fine.

We went for New Years and we made a reservation for 7 oclock. Upon walking up they had a sign up saying that they were not honoring the kids eat free because it was New Years even know it was a Tuesday. Then we checked in and waited 30 mins. beyond our reservation time. They still did not have a table ready and there were still people waiting ahead of us. We saw a table that was open in the sushi area that had been open since we had gotten there but they kept telling us they were not sure yet if we could sit there. We finally got seated and and looked at the menu and they had made a special menu that included the most expensive items from their original menu and raised the prices up. I was craving my Yakisoba noodle dish and come to find out was not available as an option the waitress told us that whatever is on the menu is what you get they are not doing anything special. We were there with my sister and her boyfriend and when we received our sushi rolls they had put ours and theirs on one big plate not knowing whos was whos. Our waitress did not refill our glasses we had to ask the bus boy whom told a different waiter. We finally got our bill and my sister had a $10 credit on her rewards card and the waitress told us that she could not use it because it was New Years eve. So she complained to the owner and he told her well you can use it next time, so she told him no because she will not be back again so he said that he would take care of her and he took $20 off of her bill and when she comes in next time he will take care of her. We will most likely not be going back here especially for New Years Eve.

Im not a big fan of these combo restaurants (Chinese and Japanese) as I my belief a restaurant should concentrate on a cuisine they do best. But, Mikado is an exception; they got it right.Mikado offers a good blend of Japanese and Chinese food. Granted theyre not a perfect 10 for both cuisine, but theyre very good with both worlds. This place does get packed and for good reasons.Their Chinese food, dont expect Kois Palace quality but then again you dont pay those prices. Theyre food comes out pipping hot and you can see the Chef is obviously showing off his wok skills. One of my favorite is their garlic fried rice. It adds a new taste dimension to a common dish. Their mini Bok Choy with garlic sauce and Peking Pork Chops are excellent comfort food and Mikado knows how to make them.Their other world is an interesting experience. Weekdays are fine for your everyday sushi fix, but for a true Japanese adventurous experience you have to go there on the weekend. The sushi rice was lacking the sushi rice vinegar but the fish are fresh and presented nicely.Staff here are top notch and not something you would expect from a small bistro. They frequently check up on you and there were times when we mentioned the food was a bit salty and they automatically took it back and had another one made. For their sushi (unless you like whats in their menu)I suggest you let them make the recommendations. Theyre honest about whats fresh and what to avoid.

China Garden Restaurant
8610 Brentwood Blvd G, Brentwood, CA 94513, United States
Finally, after 30 years, there is a very authentic Chinese restaurant in East County in Brentwood,ca. I have visited this restaurant 4 times and satisfied and pleased with what I ordered. I have ordered different styles of noodle dishes like pan fried chow mein to different entrees like beef, chicken, ribs, tofu, and vegetable dishes. Other than traveling to Concord or Walnut Creek for a good decent general Chinese (Northern or Southern) cuisine, this restaurant is now my number 1 Chinese restaurant in the area. I have other favorites for pure Northern, Southern, and Dim sum restaurants. This restaurant was opened 5 years ago and I have noticed this place for years, but thought it was another average Chinese eatery, glad I visited this place a few months ago and found they had dishes that are not offered at other nearby restaurants and they do cook authentic northern and southern Chinese dishes. I have asked for dish of food not in the menu and I was surprised they were able to comply and surprise me with a very good dish. I have traveled and visited Chinese restaurants in areas of San Francisco, Los Angeles, Seattle, Vancouver, BC, Texas, New York and Florida, this restaurant is not the best, but it is very good for this area.

Lone Tree Drive In Chinese
8383 Lone Tree Wy, Brentwood, CA 94513, United States
Our family has been going to Lone Tree Drive in since 1982. Tonite my son and husband went to this place for dinner. A regular sit down dinner, not to go. They ordered 3 entree dishes and ice tea. We tip at least 20% every time and have only had a few bad meals here. Veggies past their prime, etc. When asking for a refill on their iced tea, they were told only one refill, then they would be charged for another drink.I got home from work and phoned them. The woman communicated fairly well, and verified they do charge for another drink after 1 refill. I politely told her that other restaurants dont do this, she said WHATEVER. Who is she learning this English from? I then told her it may be short-sighted to charge for drink refills as we can drive right up the street to Panda Express and have all the beverage we want for $1.79. She says, go to Panda. All this while, Im being calm and polite. This was her response to me. Go to Panda. She said WHATEVER several times while speaking with one of her valued customers. I will take her advice and go to Panda or to Mr. Wongs or anywhere but here. Spent over $30 for a dinner and are charged for a second refill. Please....

Waited almost an hour to get my food. I called as a a pick up order. They told me to wait for 30mins so I waited in my car. 30mins flew by and they still hasnt called me. I went inside to check. They told me to wait another 5 mins because one of my orders isnt ready yet. Another 20mins flew by and then just gave me the orders. I paid and went to my car to check the orders. Its missing one of my orders so I went back inside to ask for it and they said sorry and gave it to me. I came home and tasted everything. Nothing stood out. I did not like the taste of each one. I just thought the money I paid for is to help them stay afloat during this trying times. But I will not go back and order again.
