Lee Mangu Noodle

After trying their food several times from grocery shopping, I can definitely say the food is NOT that good.. especially their Jajangmyeon. Its tasteless even with all the sauce IMO. I cant touch the food here even if Im in the brink of starvation. ☹️

The place was switching management when we went. Some of the menu was not available at all or coming soon. They no longer make anything that requires a wok, those are being taken out. I really would like to give this spot another chance once the re-open. However I had a bad experience.Food was not good. The garlic noodles were undercooked and sprinkled with pepper. I tasted little to no garlic.Wings seemed a little undercooked as well. Got the original and garlic lemon wings. Some of the wings were still pink inside. The food got out to our table fast but I would have been willing to wait longer for some fully cooked wings & noodles. The yellow curry was decent but more veggies than curry for our rice which is not what Im used to but still enjoyed. The service was really good. They were very nice and helpful with the menu. They topped off our waters before I got to half. Checked in on us consistently.Vibe was cool. Decent music, sometimes English songs. The bathrooms were clean (huge plus) and the place was aesthetically pleasing.
Kitakata Ramen Ban Nai - Buena Park
7550 Orangethorpe Ave E300, Buena Park, CA 90621, United States
Ive never been so embarrassed in my whole life until now. I never had an issue with coming here. But tonight will be the last night I come here because of the employee Lisa. I paid for my food with a card. I never leave a tip on my card. I always leave a tip in cash. Apparently now this restaurant uses a self serve card payment. But if you pay with your card and dont tip they know when you receipt is printed. I went to walk up and get change for a cash tip with Lisa makes a loud comment That table didnt tip. Another employee asked who ((later I found out this was the manager)). Then Lisa pointed at me and my friend. The tables next to us turned and looked at us. I made a comment saying I was gonna leave a tip in cash. I went to go talk to Lisa and asked her why did she embarrass me in front of the whole restaurant because I leave my tips in cash. She denied everything and kept repeating What tables heard me. I want to know what tables. So with Lisa poor behavior I asked for a manager which Lisa referred to me as a Karen. ((Because I have pale skin....jokes on her Im Hispanic))I told the manager what happened. But the manager handled the situation poorly. I told her your employee embarrassed me for yelling out in the middle of the restaurant that I didnt tip on my card. Youre employees should never assume. I also mentioned that you were standing right there next to her when she made the comment. They denied the whole thing and accused me of being rude because I didnt tip. Lisa kept demanding that I tell her what tables. Because she wanted to talk to them. Please dont ever assume you didnt get tipped because someone didnt put it on the card.I dont think I will ever be back now. Ive been coming here for over two years. Im sad to say goodbye to this place.
H Mart Buena Park
5111 Beach Blvd, Buena Park, CA 90621, United States
The parking situation got worse. The service was not satisfactory. While at the cashier counter, the cashier pulled three salmon sushi packages I tried to buy without any explanation and had another person return them. Without saying anything to me. I had to ask whats going on. She said the prices on them were too low. I guess that can happen but wouldnt it be better to explain first and then ask to return the items? Then she proceeded to make it sound as if I was the one with the fault. At that point, I didnt want to argue with her anymore, asked to pull those three packages out, paid for the rest, and left. For the record, I didnt put the prices tags on those packages. H Mart did. It was the markets mistake. People make mistakes. No big deal. But I dont see why I need to report any possible incorrectly priced items to the cashier. And wouldnt that be the markets responsibility, not the customers? And I dont even know whats the correct price for a salmon sushi package. The prices looked low to me, and I simply thought they were on sale. Maybe they were what we Koreans say 번개세일 or lightening sale. With this bad experience, I dont think I would go back there. I am revising my previous four star rating, which is still at below, to one star. To me, the place is not worth the stress, and I dont want to be accused again of something I didnt do.Hopefully other shoppers would have more pleasant shopping experience in the future. I do not wish what I experienced today on anyone. It was very unpleasant.-----------------------------------------------------------------Surprisingly nice and clean. Food was very good. I only wish for the better parking. Its just too crowded.
Marias Kusina
6901 La Palma Ave, Buena Park, CA 90620, United States
Oh Maria, Maria. You remind me of a hungry story.Cooking up like a Fil-Am madame .Shes livin her life just like a Food Network star. - Parody of Maria, SantanaMarias Kusina, formerly Mami King several moons ago, is a Filipino comfort food eatery that serves all the traditional classics at very reasonable prices.Been meaning to hit this place up for a long while, I finally had the opportunity to do so for some red hot lunch action.Beef & wonton mami-Im a soup fiend, and the beef & wonton mami did not disappoint. Thick, fork tender chunks of beef, 3 pork wonton, cabbage & green onions over thin noodles in a savory broth. Ahhhhhh, the soothing comfort of a warm bowl of soup. Hearty, rich & a great addition to your meal. Should be noted that a serving isnt large enough to be shared, IMHO.Pancit bihon-A Filipino classic, Marias pancit bihon is just like how Mom makes it. Spritz some lemon over this bad boy, and its all good. Its good fresh & hot, but I also like it cold as a leftover. Im crazy like that ;pPork sisig-This was the only downer during our visit. While the flavor was there, the pork meat wasnt the tender, choice bits from the head of the pig. I found the meat to be rather tough. Also, the cook was a little heavy handed with the salt, as this dish was a tad too salty. Enough to give a pucker with each spoonful. Including those aforementioned gripes & having an additional egg on top costing an extra 50 cents, I cant really recommend the pork sisig.Service was good! Our food didnt take too long to come out, our waters were refilled & Maria, herself, even provided a bowl of complimentary broth to go with our meal.Ample seating, with 1/2 booth seating on the right & tables taking up the rest of the restaurant. 2 flatscreen TVs with Filipino programming are available for your viewing pleasure. Parking is in a private lot at the Superior Grocers marketplace.Filipinos & Filipino food lovers unite! For those looking for some good Pinoy food, your search is over. Marias Kusina offers up all the favorites for not a lot. Not a fan of the pork sisig, you cant wrong with their soup or pancit dishes. Im anxiously awaiting coming back & having a go with the beef pares, savory chicken & just about all their pancit offerings.Highly recommend!NOMNOMNOMNOMNOMNOMNOMNOMNOMNOM
TOP BBQ GRILL & POCHA CAFE
8948 Knott Ave, Buena Park, CA 90620, United States
Former Pine Hill Korean BBQ is now Gogiya.Dropped by all-you-can-eat BBQ for lunch. Parking is easy and the place was not..busy..at..all... which was the first sign in where I thought I would regret walking in. The lunch price was incredibly cheap, perhaps because this particular plaza had 2 all-you-can-eat BBQ adjacent to one another. Usually, cheap price is not a good sign, unless you know, it had like 10k reviews with 4.5 stars or something. The restaurants should be competing against the quality of the meat or the variety of side-dishes available at the buffet as opposed trying to lure customers with lowering the price which should literally be their last resort. After taking a look at the buffet (and without much expectation), we decided to have the $12.99 all-you-can-eat BBQ where you can only pick and choose meat from the buffet (without ordering through the menu which was few dollars more expensive). I recommend eating the non-marinated meat as the marinated meat were pretty much.. you want some meat with that salt? salty. We left the comment to the waitress and she advised that the comment will be relayed to the owner/kitchen.As for the dessert that you were very curious about, do yourself a favor and have bingsoo elsewhere. Not only the machine seemed unattended, it was literally continuously shooting away the shave ice with no human around. I didnt want to touch the handle. As a supporter of local businesses, I wanted to add a few comments to the business owner. Unfair/improper treatment against the employee is not simply a frown upon the worker, but the business owner as well. Probation can be iterated to advise good behavior, but is it worth the shame that will fall on the owner? At the end of the day, it is the owners responsibility to put less salt in the marinated sauce or to help workers develop into a happy, diligent employee. My mother was also a waitress at a K-BBQ in San Francisco, I know how difficult job it is. But I guarantee you, the treatment from the owner has a greater impact.I highly recommend the restaurants do-over on the menu so that the cheap price is out of the picture so the quality of the meat can be displayed and highlighted. Just leave the cheap option out so no one talks/disses about it. Change to good options with respective menus so that no ones expecting something like senior prices from IHOP.I also recommend the restaurant to develop and redesign the treatment to employees. Ive never seen so many shout-out to an individual employee at a restaurant (I mean hair salons, nail salons yes, but BBQ?) I can only imagine the mental stress of the employee just from seeing so many sympathetic reviews. Lets promote good environment for both customers and employees, even the slightest changes are easily shown.
Thai Addict Cuisine
6098 Orangethorpe Ave, Buena Park, CA 90620, United States
BETWEEN THE REVIEWS w/ Rodney S*Social Distancing Review*Q) Where did you go for lunch, Rodney?A) Thanks for asking, Rodney. I havent Thai food in a long, long time. So, looking for a new place to review, I did a quick search and found Thai Addict Cuisine for lunch special pad Thai. A quick call & I was soon on my way.Q) What were your thoughts on Thai Addicts lunch special pad Thai?A) After paying for my food, I popped the top of the container and was perturbed at the portions. Lunch specials come w/ rice, egg roll & dine-in soup. The actual pad Thai seemed rather meager. Upon taking home & plopping the noodles out of the aluminum foil, the portions seemed more decent than previously suspected.Q) Did you enjoy it, Rodney?A) I thought the pad Thai was perfectly fine. Nothing exceptional, no strong bright notes in each bite, but fine.Q) What else can you add to your experience?A) Rodney, Thai Addict Cuisines restaurant had a modern decor, which was inviting. Too bad dine-in is not currently allowed, as I would have certainly chose to have my meal fresh & piping hot there. I did ask the woman working the register if there was a fortune cookie, which she said there was. Alas, none to be found in the bag.Q) Would you recommend Thai Addict Cuisine, Rodney?A) Yeah, I would. Thai Addict Cuisine serves up respectable offerings of traditional Thai food. I want to venture further into their lunch specials, perhaps the spicy basil or drunken noodle, to see if I form a higher opinion of the establishment.
IL FIORA

Food: 4 starsService: 0 starThe interior seemed modernized. When the server came with coasters, it was the most awkward experience. He placed them on our table and said, Here are...... your coasters. This made me feel like he wasnt confident of the services he was about to provide. When we were ordering our food, we asked if Gorgonzola Pizza was good. Our server said, Its VERY sweet. Imagining pizza VERY sweet made me lose my appetite. When we asked what was good for salad, the server didnt know how to pronounce the name and had to look at our menu.La Jota was recommend, but it tasted like the bottled had been open for several days..When we started eating, most people had left and more servers were walking around -- singing, talking, giggling, flipping bread baskets, etc. This made us very uneasy, making it very uncomfortable. When we didnt even finish half our salad, the server kept on asking if he could take our plate away. If you cant see the most obvious things, you shouldnt be out serving. The kitchen was open to public so everything that was going on inside was visible. The chefs/cooks were just laughing and chatting. The servers were placing the bread in baskets with bare hands! With the same hands, they were handling peoples checks. It is important to enjoy the job with the coworkers, but do it during your break or where its not visible to customers. Needless to say, no training was done for any workers around here. The price of the food was reasonable, considering the quality of the food. However, this does not justify for such poor service. We expect at least 4 or even 5 stars at this price point. It would have been a full 5 star restaurant that had so much potential if service was more professional and clean.

Its called 24 hr. Fitness, and its GREAT if youve been a member for a really long time, so (for some) its still affordable ENOUGH that the under-maintained stair-masters arent worth cancelling over. MyungDong Restaurant
Los Coyotes Shopping Center, 5301 Beach Blvd, Buena Park, CA 90621, United States
Not very good, just average. Only Hannam Supermarket staff, elderly and solo diners seem to frequent this food court inside the Hannam Supermarket. There are 3 stalls; Korean (boon shik), Japanese (rolls and rice dishes) & Chinese (jjajang, tangsuyuk, jjambong). We tried all 3 several times and the conclusion is for us, Koreans, these are a pass unless youre famished and desperate. Westerners seem to love it though, so good on them.
