CA NOODLE

Finally an authentic Chinese noodle restaurant in Pleasanton! The spicy pork noodle soup was delicious as was the braised beef noodle soup and fungus salad. A must try, the flavors are amazing.
Fiery Shanghai

We were in town for some shopping and stopped by afterwards. The restaurant was busy and we didn't have to wait long at all to be seated. We were promptly asked if we wanted tea or something to drink and given menus. I don't speak mandarin and the owner was able to communicate with us in English and some Cantonese. There are a few Shanghaiese dishes we are familiar with and have had elsewhere so we wanted to compare: the Shanghaiese flat noodles (“Leen Go”), the hot and sour soup, the dumplings in chili oil, and the beef meatballs (Sze Tze Tau), and the red bean dessert (almost like a flatbread). The food was good and came out in 5-10 minutes (soup, noodles, beef, dumplings, dessert). Certain dishes like the dumplings were a bit salty (not uncommon with northern cuisine), but the food was flavorful. I don't think the one star reviews are legit and they are a bit off base and harsh. The restaurant was clean, the food was good, the price was a bit pricey but not out of range for Bay Area pricing that I've had at other Asian restaurants. Our 5 course meal for two came to $65.There was selection here that isn't available elsewhere. Not a single reason for a one star review. Contrary to another review the food isn't Americanized; the restaurant was full of Asian people (I have yet to go to a Chinese restaurant that is Americanized that has a full house of Asian customers; thats like finding a Chinese Unicorn). This is worth a try people so that you can make a decision for yourself.
Special Noodle

Finally had a chance to try this place. After 2 different ramen places that went out of business, this establishment seems to be doing well. After going through their extensive menu on the tablet, I found what I wanted. For my wife who's indecisive when faced with many choices, this took her a while. But I remained patient and let her browse through the tablet to order. The popular dishes on Yelp were pretty tasty. Although this place has “noodle” in its name, their steamed soup dumplings and pan fried pork buns were delicious. I would say their pan fried pork buns were unique in that the outer skin was thick and a tad chewy and eating this texture gave it a different experience. I ate the grilled chilled noodle for the first time. It wasn't bad, but given how little and how simple it was, $10 was too pricey. The stir-fry Chinese lettuce was average. The spicy pork intestines with noodles were flavorful. This was a pretty good meal with some leftovers to take home. I would come here again and try some different items.

Went for a late lunch on a Thursday in early January. As I was walking up to another restaurant, I was feeling pulled towards Cloud Dish....and so glad I did! The place was still pretty packed around 1:30 p.m., yet I was immediately seated. Table for one please! I ordered the Traditional Crossing Bridge Rice Noodle soup for $19.99 and the Youtiao (Chinese fried donut). My dishes came out within a few minutes. I dumped in all the ingredients and made my way through a wonderful experience. The broth was so flavorful & delicious, and the ingredients were very fresh. Dunking the Chinese fried donut in the broth truly made it complete! I have frequented another rice noodle restaurant more than several times, and its called 10 Seconds in San Leandro. Theyre pretty good too, but Cloud Dish seems to be a little different with less broth options. However, the ingredients are very fresh, and as mentioned, the broth is very tasty. I was so excited to stumble across this restaurant, and I hope to take my dad here!

Phenomenal place to eat. You can get the Regular size or the Large size. The regular size is perfect for a quick meal. The large is perfect for having left overs. I am a big guy and I love to eat alot and I still cannot finish a large bowl. The fish is extremely fresh and clean. The staff make sure to explain things if you have questions and they are very kind about it. They speak clearly and concisely to you when explaining. They keep the place pretty clean. There is not a ton of seating however they do have indoor and outdoor seating which usually helps. Unfortunately sometimes there is not space to sit down and eat however it usually clears out pretty quickly.Overall this place is amazing and a perfect alternative if you are craving sushi or something with fish. You cannot beat the price for the amount of food you get. DEFINITELY A MUST TRY.
Mumu Hot Pot
2725 Stoneridge Dr #103, Pleasanton, CA 94588, United States
Dont waste your time here, go to happy lamb nearby. No wonder this place was completely empty. Went with a party of 3.Unbelievably bad. Food was overpriced and mediocre compared to literally any other hotpot nearby. To make matters worse, they mixed my meat orders with my friends vegetable orders on accident somehow...these are not supposed to be combined to begin with!! Hope you like bloody vegetables. Ordered wagyu which likely wasnt even wagyu as it had basically no marbling at all, and one other plate of their non-wagyu high end beef. Friends ordered some beef and veggies. Tasted like very mediocre beef. Portion sizes were tiny. Didnt even finish my food despite it because the quality was atrocious.Service was beyond unacceptable. We made our orders through their app, which barely worked, and the server didnt even turn on my stove for the pot.... didnt get us water either until we complained after 30-40 minutes at which point we had already needed it as we had started eating. Served plates to the wrong people, served the broths to the wrong people.Despite our terrible experience they gave us a discount, which still had our bill totalling over $120. The same orders of food at any decent hotpot place would have been around $100 pre-discount, and much higher quality.Atmosphere was bleak, just like my outlook towards the place after we finished dining.Never ever going back.

Nyonya Cafe

First of all, the menu photo is out of date. The price of rendang beef is $15.00, not $13.00.Though the food is DELISH, its getting a bit TOO expensive for myself. I had the Beef Rendang and 2 extra apalam (chips). Just the apalam was $1.50. I could buy the uncooked chips at the local 99 Ranch market for $10 and get about $100 worth of chips. However, the Rendang is somewhat worth the price ($15.00) but for $15.00l, I would think the portion would be larger. Ill come by here again, IF I get the craving for rendang like my mom made when I was young. I almost ordered the iced dessert but I found out that they also increased the price. My lunch....LUNCH...would have cost me $30.00. I expect $30.00 for two people not one person. I decided to get only my lunch and went next door to Nations for some milkshake.Price: B (for the portion you get)Quality: A++Service: A
