Noodle or Rice

Hmmmmmm,Positives: Honey Walnut Shrimp, Fried wontons, fried rice, Lemon Chicken, service/staff, quickly made foodDownside: hot n sour soup, friend rice, lemon chicken.I know I listed a few things in both categories allow me to explain. First thing first the restaurant appears clean, staff was quick to greet us and seat us. The staff was friendly and provided great service. The food was delivered to the table a very reasonable time after placing our order, the hot and sour soup or sweet and sour soup as they kept referring to it had a different flavor and consistency then Im used to but it was still good, the fried wontons are nothing like you maybe used to at other restaurants but again were very good. We ordered the seafood fried rice which had good portions of seafood however the rice itself seemed to be lacking flavor luckily they have a very good hot sauce on the table and that was enough good flavor to add. There are many options on fried rice so may have to try a different one next time. The lemon chicken had great flavor was lightly breaded and the chicken was cubed which made my wife happy. The downside to the chicken was it seemed dry and over cooked, another review said the chicken was over cooked as well. Maybe they should turn the work down a little when cooking chicken.Unfortunately for the owner while we were there some kids kept prank calling the business and he was responding to them in ear shot of us and other patrons and he was going along with them and saying yes he served dog, cat and birds. I knew what was going on but maybe he would do better handling those in the back out of ear shot of the customers. I dont ding him any stars in this review for this.It is a place we will revisit, not the best in town in our opinion and not the worst. We look forward to trying other dishes.

Highly recommend this authentic Chinese restaurant (good sign if you see Chinese customers eating inside). Huge menu selection, big portion (aka good value for your money) fast delivery, friendly service, grand opening March 6, 2024 (restaurants giving out 10% discount card). I tried the noodle soup and spicy dumplings, yummy! Will definitely come back. A good road stop on way from SF to Lake Tahoe or coming back. Located behind Hyatt hotel, junction HYW 80x 505.
Rice Barn Thai Eatery and Wine Bar

Had the worst experience yesterday, after being seated, my fiance, best friend, my son and I each ordered a dish to share, we ordered the house fried rice which looked and tasted soo bland, the pad thai noodles dish which was pretty decent. Except for the chicken in the dish which had no flavor and tasted soo bland, we also ordered the papaya salad that was flavorful, and a beef dish that tasted soo gamey, we were already disappointed in the food immediately but didnt complain, we chalked it up as Maybe the feel a bit rushed due to the restaurant being very busy. We have came to this restaurant previously and had no complaints. After being served, no on came to check on us, we had to stop a waitress a few times, to ask for extra napkins, water refills and some chili sauce. Once we finished what we could, we asked for boxes and the check, our bill came out to $70.28, in which we paid with a $100 bill, the waitress took our money, then came right back stating that she didnt have change for a big bill, In which I reminded her that my change would be less than $30, she then asked us to use a credit card, we responded by letting her know that we had cash only, she then walked away, we were surprised, the restaurant was packed so how could they not have change? 10 mins passed and no one came back to our table, my fiance stopped a waitress to ask her what was going on., she came to our table and stated that they couldnt take our money because it was not good I asked her why she felt that way? I had a new $100 bill however earlier that day I dropped my money in a small puddle which I explained to her, so it had a small bit of dried debris on it..i asked her if that was the reason, she then left and came back with the original waitress who claimed to be the manager. They kept asking us to use apple pay (we are Android users) or for us to go to the bank, at which time its not 7:37pm. The bank isnt open, I asked her to run the bill through their machine to verify the money was not counterfeit, she walked away again, the waitress from before stated that they didnt have change and that was the reason they couldnt take the 100, however the manager stated it wasnt real, at this point we are embarrassed and annoyed, after another 10 mins of waiting. While the manager made a phone call, she finally took the money and brought back our change within seconds..this was soo unnecessary, we were treated like criminals while one waitress laughed, i reminded her that weve been there plenty of times in which the manager stated she remembered me, ive always paid with debit, or smaller bills in cash. this needless to say, we will never be returning,

Still so annoyed after last night's dinner experience. Went for “all you can eat bbq.” We've been here enough to know that if you take one small bowl it makes a mess trying to stack the meat and sauce on top of the noodles and you leave hungry or have to jump back in line for another 5-10 minutes to get a little more food. Well here I am, hugely pregnant and super hungry.. I used two bowls to take a modest amount of food to the grill (which by the way I did end up eating every last bit of it.) One employee who obviously had time on her hands, made a point to march up to me and ask me to move to the other side of the buffet (for no apparent reason as the only person behind me was my husband). Then sounded annoyed and told me “only grab one bowl per person next time…” Well, if she wants to get technical, I'm carrying two people inside of me. Lol.She then sat there and watched my mother who we brought as a guest from out of town and got on her about “one bowl per person next time.” To be honest, I don't know if we will come back “next time” after dealing with her attitude. Funny how quick she was to run up on us in the buffet line but didn't have the time to come seat us for quite a while when we walked in.Embarrassing to bring a guest from a town that had a lovely Mongolian Grill whose owner and staff were generous and treated customers like family. Not scolding and stingy over a few extra noodles at an “all you can eat” restaurant. My husband finished his one bowl, and left feeling slightly hungry because there was a line to get more. For nearly spending $100 on food, two drinks and a tip, you'd think you could treat customers better than that. Stop calling yourself “all you can eat” and charging so much if your employees are going to shame the customers for getting enough food.

I had eaten here several times. It is a very popular Chinese restaurant in Vacaville and do some delivery. This was the first time since I had been living in the Mid-West. I had the vegetable chow mien which is a thicker noodle than we have in Minnesota. The food was not bad and the amount of vegetables especially broccoli was great. The vegetables were firm. The soup and the other food that we had were just as good.

Enter the Restaurant, there is seating and an Ice Cream Counter and Window. Walk past that and encounter the back side of the store for the Food Display case. My 1st time at a Filipino Restaurant. I have had this type of food at work social events in the past. I recognize a couple of items. The items available that I have not seen before, i asked for the description of what is it? The nice young lady assisting me, offered me taste samples along with the description. I tried the Garlic Rice, to see if indeed it was just named that or does the taste back it up? The Garlic Rice was it!!!! I tested the Dinuguan (It said Blood Pork). It was very dark in color. The taste has a little vinegary BUT that Pork was super tender. YES, lets get it. I ordered the 2 item plate. The other was BBQ Chicken, the usual familiar taste that I had in the past. Still good. All in all I give this place Rolines a 5 Stars All Day. The thing that took it to the 5 Stars is they fact they honor Military and Veterans with a discount. Brovo!!! I will be back when in the area again.
County Square Market

This place is great and is literally a one stop shop for all your asian goods. They have a great selection of japanese, Korean, Chinese, Philippino and other asian/Pacific islander ingredients. You can even get poi and other Hawaiian favorites. They have an amazing selection of fresh vegetables at a decent price. You can get taro, parsnips and other fresh ingredients for your dish. There is an entire meat department to help you with your proteins. They even have a wide selection of fresh, live seafood. You can get muscles or clams and even frogs. They will fry your fish for you too, although there may be stipulations. I am not sure if it costs extra or if they do it on certain days or what. I wish I got pics of the meat and veggie department. Maybe Ill grab some next time I go back.Speaking of cooked food... this place has an entire steam line full of self serve dishes and dim sum. If dim sum or prepared chinese food doesnt strike your fancy, perhaps the hanging ducks or roast pork at the end will tickle your taste buds. Have a large party? No problem! They cater and you can order an entire suckling pig. They cater other dishes too. If you just want lunch, no problem. Several options. You can get a roast meat platter and enjoy duck and roast pork. Or you can get a combo plate and enjoy rice and/or noodles with several dishes that are hot and ready as well as self serve. You can order boba drinks if you arent hungry or select something from their dessert rack, whether it is a cake or pudding or a variety of other things. This place literally has it all. I love going here to find more surprises. You wont be disappointed.
Wah Sing

Overpriced and Americanized Chinese food. Was coming here regularly as the food was OK for the area but was put off by the last visit. For starters the place charges for a side of rice. If you go to most real Chinese restaurants, a side of rice is complimentary or no more than a dollar. I ordered my usual order and simply asked to include a side of rice which is posted at 2.50 on their menu. They are sneaky with their pricing. Picked up the order only to find out I was charged $5 for a side of rice. Employee in the store informs that its because its a large side of rice by default and that you have to explicitly ask to get the smaller size priced at 2.50(really?) You can go buy a 4 lb sack of rice for about the same price. While an apology was issued, there was no refund offered. I will not be going back after that.

The cucumber salad and wonton soup was decent. The noodle was bland. DimSum was just okay. The restaurant palette is tailored to the bland side overall as the food isn’t as flavourful as regular Chinese dishes. Comfortably chilled inside the store during hot summer. Order and pay first system. Plenty of parking outside.

Beware. This l&ls food is good, but the service this year is terrible. The bad service will get you eventually. My wife called our order in an hour in advance. I went inside to pick it up, I paid, and 30 minutes later I begin seeing others who walked in before me get their food. I called in way before any of us walked in, so how can this be? 1 of 2 things hapened. They gave our food to somebody else or forgot to push our order through. Mistakes happen, but they didnt even prioritize our order considering their mistake and they queued us to back of the line. That was my final straw. I wasnt waiting another 30 mins. I walked out and charged back the purchase. Just so you know, this wasnt our first bad experience. Its just the one that pushed me over the edge. Eat at your own discretion.
