Fortune Cookies Restaurant

What can I say...this is our go-to place for Chinese/Thai/Japanese cuisine. We were very pleased with the service and food tonight. There is no other restaurant in Fountain Valley that compares. I highly recommend going there.

Lucky Chinese Food
18525 Brookhurst St, Fountain Valley, CA 92708, United States
Ever since I moved to Fountain Valley from Fullerton; this has been my go to place for chinese food. The wonderful ladies that work the front are phenomenal. They are very generous with their portions and always crack a smile even when at times they get a bit over run. Their phone service is prompt when it comes to to-go orders just as long as you know what you want. I would like to personally thank Sophie for letting me feel welcome everytime I come in and I would highly recommend this restaurant for any and all those who like to overly indulge in good chinese food for a fair price

Fu Wing Low
16545 Brookhurst St, Fountain Valley, CA 92708, United States
Fu Wing Low is the BEST Chinese Restaurant in Southern California bar none !!! The cuisine is Cantonese Style with some Szechuan offerings. Over the years I have ordered just about everything on the menu!! EVERYTHING is delicious!! Fu Wing Low’s reminds me of the old fashion Cantonese restaurants that I went to with my family in the 1950’s. My personal favorites are the Hot and Sour Soup, Egg Fu Young, Twice Cooked Pork, Orange Beef, Chicken Chow Mein and Sweet and Sour Pork !! David and the rest of the staff are super friendly and efficient! Try this restaurant, and you will become a regular customer!! Mike W.

Panda Express
18011 Newhope St Suite #a, Fountain Valley, CA 92708, United States
I have been eating at this Panda Express for a number of years, and find the staff here helpful and friendly. The problem I had today is the sign that I have posted in my picture. I asked why they aren't giving samples anymore and he, (as expected), blamed it on COVID-19. I told him it didn't make sense that they can't give out samples But they're willing to hand me condiments such as the sweet-and-sour sauce that I asked for. He says it had something to do with people don't want the servers to touch their food. That doesn't make sense. They touch it when you pay for it it's just that they don't want allowed to be for free. To me it seems like a poor attempt to give less customer service and blame it on a disease where there's no evidence that it is transferred through handling food or even human contact. It's an airborne disease carried through coughing sneezing and the such.

Yummy Noodle
9965 Ellis Ave, Fountain Valley, CA 92708, United States
By far one of the best noodle shops Ive been to in the past couple of years. Let me start off by saying my family, especially my son loves noodles. Weve tried a lot of noodle shops ranging from LA to OC and so far, Yummy Noodle ranks 1st for our family. We were seated quickly and service was excellent. The food came out quick, hot, and fresh. Everything was super flavorful and tasty. The ambiance is really nice too, the kids loved seeing the chefs behind the counter hand-pulling and hand-cutting all the noods, it was a great experience. We ordered:Lan Zhou noodle soup - 5 stars, I can eat this bowl on a daily basis.Steamed chicken - LOVED the sauce, sweet and spicy, but not too spicy, perfectly balanced.Veggie spring rolls - Bigger than most eggrolls you get at other restaurants, very flavorful and came out steaming hot.Beef wrap - OMG!!! the first beef wrap I ordered where they gave more beef rather than spring onions and cilantro.Xiaolongbao - Goodbye DTF, hello Yummy Noodle. Finally, I can get my high quality XLB while the kids enjoy a hearty bowl of noodles!!!Overall, if you havent tried Yummy Noodle yet, then youre missing out. Make sure to visit this place you wont regret it. Best of all, the pricing is super affordable, I was very surprised when I saw their pricing, for the quality and quantity of food, you cant beat it.

Even though I said I don’t like spicy food, there are still two dishes that are spicy. Some of the flavors are okay, some are not. The presentation is quite nice, but the vegetarian food could definitely be better. The restaurant is very cold, like there is no air conditioning. The decoration is quite rustic, the lighting is very dim, the layout is messy and unsightly, and the tableware used is average. The rustic and earthy feel is really far behind other restaurants in the United States, and it is not professional at all. The waiter waited for more than ten minutes but didnt wait. When he saw that I needed help, he didnt come to help me and turned a blind eye. The meal was not full. It took 3 hours and required a mandatory tip of 18%. I really didn’t want to give this tip. Logically speaking, we are all Chinese, so I shouldnt give a bad review, but the experience was really bad! It’s awesome, don’t waste your money. It’s more cost-effective to cook vegetarian dishes in other Chinese restaurants here for just ten or twenty yuan than to go to theirs, and you’ll still be full!

First Class Pizza
18671 Brookhurst St, Fountain Valley, CA 92708, United States
Food is generic but consumable. Environment is clean and friendly. Main issue is the kids toy vending machines and arcade games because the machine do not dispense the toys or start game(s). The owner states it is the vendors of the machines problem and to play at your own risk. I believe this is a ploy between the owner of first class and the vendors of these gaming machines. That is bad business practice because I see it as careless business practice to provide faulty gaming vending machines and shrugging it off. Will not be coming back ever.
