Ta Chen Chinese Restaurant
6082 Chapman Ave, Garden Grove, CA 92845, United States
Weve been coming here nearly 2 years now. Really enjoy how friendly the owner is and remembers my husband each time, even if its been months in-between.Sometimes, Ill ask for recommendations and will try something different from my usual go-tos. This is how I learned about their lemon chicken, which I always try to save some for the next day; but end up eating the entire thing because its so good. I also ventured out and tried the Ta Chen prawns which are now in my rotation whenever we order. I absolutely love their wonton soup, its probably my #1 favorite thing that I get because it soothes my stomach, is filling and of course delicious. They are always so generous in sometimes throwing in spring rolls for free or an extra soup. I like when there are some almond cookies lying around and they toss a few in with the fortune cookies as well.Overall great service and food. The first time we ever ordered from here, a longtime customer was also waiting to pick up their food and had mentioned theyve been coming here for years and that this restaurant would soon become one of our favorites. They were right.

Seafood Cove
8547 Westminster Blvd., Garden Grove, CA 92844, United States
Would give 10 Stars if I could!!Great place if you love Seafood the seafood soup with the clear chicken broth was great Im actually taking my friend back for dinner I loved it so much.Have to update after I took my friend back here for dinner on the same day. OMG this place is wonderful I am so sad that I did not Discover it it when I lived in Garden Grove really close for 3 years.Their dinner menu is really long full of pictures any different style you want like such as when you order the soup you can get it Vietnamese style Chinese Style Korean style and some of the dishes you can change to as far as the spices which is great because its not typical Chinese Fair throughout the whole menu. That said everything tastes so fresh like it was caught out of the ocean that morning and prepared fresh. To be honest the outside of the place looks like a commercial building with no windows but it is a very nicely decorated inside formal dinner tables cloth tablecloths ceramic chopsticks even at lunch and dinner you get a full pot of tea you get a nice little tapioca desert you get the big bowl of rice on the side. I got that even with just my bowl of soup at lunch. Which was very reasonable at $10 for a huge bowl and I took some home. The dinner menu pricing starts less than 20 and goes all the way up to family style on a huge turntable and some meals that have several courses for groups up to $300.I would say if you want a special place to go and you love Asian food an Seafood this is the place to go. They also have chicken and meat dishes. They have dishes where the food is chopped up or has batter or is filleted fish or is whole fish cooked literally the menu items go into the hundreds on the numbers not getting. They have two locations but it looks like if you want dim song they have certain hours where you get it stops in the afternoon. It seems not every dishes available at the place I went to maybe the other restaurant was the main one not sure. They have crab lobster and shrimp if you dont like fish. For dinner we stuck with two shrimp dishes one with salt and pepper shrimp which was amazing in the flavor I cant believe it was just salt pepper and a very light batter the only thing that surprised me is it was flash-fried so the shell was still in there after a while I couldnt chew through it I just took a shrimp out and ate the outside batter. Then we also got mango honey shrimp and it was in a very light batter but a little heavier than the other shrimp. And then we had sizzling rice soup which was great but I have to say I really loved the seafood soup in the clear chicken broth for lunch even though there wasnt much spices the flavor of the chicken broth was unbelievable I couldnt believe it.I would give 10 stars for this place Im going to recommend it on Facebook if you receive food lover again this is the place to go!!And the service is unbelievable they have guys that will just kind of runs by your table and pick up dishes and you dont even know theyve come through they have another one always concentrate on the setup and the tea and other things and you have your waiter you get so much attention but they dont stand at your table and bother you they watch the room like a hawk.Im just so sad I live in another County now and just happened to be down in the area.

Panda Express
9755 Chapman Ave, Garden Grove, CA 92843, United States
This place is good for fast Chinese food. The quality is good and they keep the place clean. Food tasted good overall and they give out a pretty good proportions of food. They dont pack the box but they do fill it up. Service was great. Everyone was nice and courteous. My only issue I realized when I was here is that the customer in front of me sneezed while standing couple feet from the food. She was wearing a facemask but doesnt mean droplets cant ever land on the food since its basically set up like a buffet line. Realization is that the food just sits there until a customer picks the wanted item. So, the food can sit there for awhile with a higher chance of having droplets fall on it when it settles down if a customer or employee sneezes. Droplets wont travel as far while wearing a face mask but will not contain all droplets completely from a powerfully loud sneeze. The sneeze guard is not sealed on bottom and in a 15 degree angle so doesnt cover the food from droplets or dust falling on top. Compared to a place where the food is prepared by order and packed inside a container as soon as its done. Therefore, if you must have fast Chinese food now then I would recommend this place but I would not go to any fast Chinese food places until the pandemic dies down and just order take-out from a Chinese restaurant.

BAOS HOG
13918 Brookhurst St, Garden Grove, CA 92843, United States
Great place to fill your bao cravings without having to order a huge plate of duck at a chinese restaurant! I love having duck and this place makes it uber convenient to get.Place does get packed at times so be prepared to take to go if you dont want to sit in a cafeteria like setting. Takes around ~15 mins for them to fill your order. Parking can be a major pain in the plaza.I personally love their duck baos and bolsa bao; very big piece of meat and tender (would recommend you to ask them to cut in half because it can get chewy to bite down). I dont have much love for the chasiu baos because its a bit fatty for me and I sometimes get hard pieces of meat. I will be back for more!

Phoenix Food Boutique

I ordered from Phoenix Food Boutique through postmates because I heard about the awful service and didnt want to deal with it. I ordered the shrimp and garlic fried rice, the mixed fruit tapioca in coconut milk, and the durian rolls. I dont know how you can mess up fried rice, but they did. I got burnt fried rice. I could tell it was burnt just by smelling it when I first opened the box. I figured I couldnt waste money and food since I was hungry, so I ate it. Yep, it was burnt. They did add a good amount of shrimp that wasnt burnt, so there was that... The tapioca drink was okay. It was half filled with tapioca. I wish they added more fruit. The best part was the durian rolls! I would come back just for those rolls and nothing else. I dont recommend the food, but they excel with their desserts.

Harbor Garden
14291 Euclid St D108-109, Garden Grove, CA 92843, United States
Harbor Garden has a high review rating for a good reason. The food is not greasy and it is flavorful. The food was served hot with a nice balance of ingreadients. The portion size is very fair relative to the price. Also, they do give free white rice with the entree when you dine in. On top of that, the hot green tea was served piping hot and it is free when you dine in with the entre. You just have to ask.The food is clean cooking. Meaning to say the food was not floating in oil and the mixture of protein to veggie ratio is very balanced. The flavor also have enough seasoning and spice that the ingredients have been enhanced instead of overwhelm or overpower the other ingredients. The flavor of the green tea is excellent and it really helps cleanse the palate and it helps with letting the food settle for the other entre. The service is superb. The servers were very attentive. And I had the lucky opportunity to talk to the manager. I found out that the chef is an authentic chef from China. Therefore, the flavors are uniquely authentic Chinese flavors as supposed to other Chinese restaurants. And they make the noodles fresh by hand in the kitchen daily. No extra preservative from factory bought noodles. That adds to the clean flavor and eats I mentioned earlier. The ambiant lighting is not dark or too bright. The smell is fabulous and not fishy. The accoustic in the restaurant has enough background noise but not so loud that you cant hear the conversation in front of you.The restroom is clean and it doesnt have a bad smell. The dining room is clean and there is enough space to walk between the tables and chairs. The dining room have a ton of space for huge parties.I suppose this is a great place to take huge families. Next door is owned by the same family and they sell boba and teas. So if one want to order from the boba shop next door, ask the server. If that isnt a good customer service, I dont know what is.I had a good experience dining here that felt compelled to write them a review. And no, I am not being paid for the review nor am I related to the owners.

Dont be fooled by the photos. The whole restaurant is dirty and in disrepair. 1 of the 6 items we ordered was alright. Maybe would be ok for a take out only spot. We were looking for a sit down Chinese restaurant near Disneyland. DONT GO HERE

Korean Chinese cuisine is basically Chinese Shandong cuisine (Shandong cuisine) plus Korean flavors to form independent flavor dishes. Among them, stir-fried noodles, fried noodles with soybean paste, dry-cooked shrimps, noodles with soybean paste, etc. are the most famous. It often appears in Korean dramas. The combination of No. 3 stir-fried noodles and dry-cooked pork in this restaurant is quite delicious. It’s a big bowl. The Korean ramen is very chewy. With the spicy soup, the dry-cooked meat is oily but not greasy. It’s delicious.
