Thai & Chinese Food
2337 N Oxnard Blvd, Oxnard, CA 93036, United States
Worst tasting Thai/Chinese food, ever. Very salty chicken, none of the dishes tasted like what they were. My pad seawee came with shrimp when I just asjed for chicken. The portion size was small for the price, so I overpaid for the food. They used rice to make it look like a healthy portion size. I actually wanted my rice and entree seperate like every other restaurant, but I wasnt given that choice. This restaurant ignores food choice and allergies. There are much better Thai and Chinese restaurants in the area. I am Thai, so I know the difference between good and bad Thai/Chinese food.
Golden Dragon Chinese Restaurant
258 W Pleasant Valley Rd, Oxnard, CA 93033, United States
This is a small mom and pop place run by a husband and wife team. The Chinese food here is made to order and you can hear the husband cooking away on his wok. I first tried this place because we were looking for a caterer for sadly, my dads upcoming funeral reception. We also had to find a Chinese restaurant that didnt use msg. I found them on Yelp and they happened to be only 5 minutes away from my parents house. We first ordered Mongolian Beef, Orange chicken, salt and pepper shrimp, and chicken with snow peas-all dinner size. Everything again was made to order but came out quickly and fresh. Jennifer - the wife, let me and my sis sample a piece of our orders as it came out hot and fresh. When we took it all home, everyone enjoyed the flavors and liked how crispy the orange chicken was. They use a really good batter that holds up and doesnt get soggy. We decided the flavors were good and we would order a mass amount of food from them. We were also surprised on how inexpensive their catering dishes were. Chicken - $40, beef - $45, seafood-$50. We ended up ordering multiple trays of orange chicken, honey walnut shrimp, fish in black bean sauce, Mongolian beef, chicken and string beans, mixed vegetables, house special fried rice and chow mein. For my dads viewing, I ordered 2 trays (theyre the half size btw) of their chicken wings. Seriously.. Just the smell of the wings was mouth watering! And again, I dont know what the chef uses but the chicken wings were so crispy and stayed crispy the whole night! They were completely obliterated by the guests. We ordered probably way too much for the reception, but the guests were happy and kept asking where we got the food from. Im happy that Golden Dragon had our humongous order ready on time and we had absolutely no issues with them. Thank you to Jennifer and her husband for making such delicious Chinese food and helping make our dads service successful. They are so far the best Chinese cuisine in Oxnard!
Panda Express

Ive been visiting this location for many years and the taste quality and the portions have been going down pretty bad. Worst thing is that their prices keep going up. Theyre more expensive than going to a nice restaurant now. This big corporate is robbing people!!I highly recommend going to Hunan Garden Chinese Restaurant. Which Id only minutes away. Their food is amazing and freshly made. The portions are huge. Sometimes one dish can accommodate 2 person and the customer service is amazing as well.
Panda Express

This Panda WAS the best in town. No longer. Prices went UP, portion sizes dropped. This is the Plate. 2 Entries with Chow Mein. There is 1/4 cup of Chow Mein ( Yes, I measured!) Spread out so it looks like there is a lot. Terrible. Good size of Orange Chocken, but same with Mushroom Chicken, 1/4 Cup, Spread out to look like more. ( This photo taken before I measured and how THEY Packaged it.My Husband had to recook his fried rice to add flavor to it. I had to add MY soy sauce and a bit of garlic to my Chow main because there was NO Flavor to Rice Or Chow Mein.Avoid Panda Express, go to a Real Chinese Restaurant if you enjoy food that has flavor.
Peking Chinese Food

Good place for a quick Chinese fusion style meal, with more authentic options as well. When I walked up to the counter, I heard the kitchen staff speaking Chinese in the back, the ladies at the counter speak orders to the back in Chinese as well. The place really does remind me of some of the excellent Chinese restaurants in Chinatown. I was in for a nice surprise from first impressions. The main attraction is to think of this place as a more authentic Americanized Chinese food shop (vs something like Panda Express). The lunch combo is a great deal, you will definitely have more than enough, no matter how hungry you are. The food was actually quite tasty, I recommend it.The extra icing on the cake is the fact that they have some to-order dim sum. There is a lack of proper Chinese food in this area, and it seems like they dont just serve cheapo-fabulous dim sum, I really enjoyed it.

I never give 5 stars but I sure was hungry. I ordered an extra order of orange beef, Rangoon and Chinese roll and a extra large drink. My goodness, I didnt care that it came out to almost 20 bucks. It was so worth it and totally satisfied my hunger. Definitely a restaurant to come back to.

I know this place could automatically be shunned as a shamelessly touristy Chinese Restaurant geared for clueless uninitiated, but it holds it own with some classic signature dishes.Mongolian Beef, just get it. Even the Taiwanese order this upscaled version with its Salty sweet goodness. The Spicy chicken. Its actually spicy. Deep fried and Crispy.Crispy Geen Beans. Goes well with anu choice of proteins. Tempura crispy goodness. And yes the sushi offerings pass muster. The Kung Pao sushi roll and Shrimp Tempura Roll could easily pass in your regular old sushi joint.
Niu boiling seafood
2530 Saviers Rd, Oxnard, CA 93033, United States
This unassuming restaurant is different from other “seafood in a bag” places in that they cook the seafood to the correct internal temperature resulting in nice, juicy bites every time! I've had the shrimp/clam/green mussels/potatoes/corn combo and the shrimp/lobster/sausage/potatoes/corn combo. Both were very satisfying and reasonably priced when compared to what you would pay at a traditional seafood restaurant.Great quality seafood and pleasant decor. The staff is friendly and attentive. I waited about 15 to 20 minutes for my orders so I do recommend calling ahead if you're in a rush. Highly recommend you give this special place a try!

The food was horrible. The chowmein was pale when its suppose to be orangish. The orange chicken and rice had no flavor and it was served cold.Plus the workers are RUDE. Gave my friend and me an attitude for no reason. It was just disgusting. I WOULD NEVER RECOMMEND THIS PLACE AT ALL. This place deserves no stars at all

As a food critic and chef I try certain items first. I had hot and sour soup. Was not done correctly. They used no egg and a ton of pepper. I love spice, but not pepper where pepper has no reason to be in something. Next drinks were so small and so high in price I feel no matter how they try?Staff was friendly, but had no clue. Just so you know I have made the soup hundreds of times and bars are never that expensive.
