Sichuan Fusion
3288 Pierce St Ste B-109, Richmond, CA 94804, United States
I was with a Chinese Woman who spoke to the waitress in Chinese, and ordered a spicy whole fish, and perhaps less spicy for me, i thought it was pretty good, i got some spinach to go with it, it was not cheap but it was good. Visiting friends in the Bay area. We generally eat out at our regular haunts and this is one of our go to places for Chinese food. Wide variety of authentic regional dishes in addition to the generic fried rice offerings. This time, we especially enjoyed the eggplant in garlic sauce and the dry fried green beans. You have to start with these. Always busy, which is a good sign. Prices are in the mid range and the service is good for a Chinese restaurant.
Panda Express
4250 Macdonald Ave, Richmond, CA 94805, United States
What can I say, it’s Panda. Good place for ok Chinese food. I do like that you can see the kitchen and how everything is made, fairly clean... you never know what’s going on behind closed doors in a random hole in the wall Chinese restaurant. I still only give three stars because it is a major chain and not a greasy hole in the wall.... which sometimes is delicious if your willing to take a chance!

The worst Chinese restaurant ?
Daimo Chinese Restaurant
3288 Pierce St, Richmond, CA 94804, United States
My family and I love to come and eat food here. The staff here is always so friendly to us. Anytime we have family stay over from out of town, this restaurant is one of our go-tos. Each of our guests that we have brought here always want to come back the next time they are in town. Daimo definitely reminds me of one of my all time favorite Chinese restaurants in L.A. called Hop Louie. Everything I have ever tried on the menu at Daimo never disappoints. The food here is a toddler approved by my son that absolutely loves the chow fun. One of our guests that has never liked Chinese restaurants in the past told us this is the best Chinese restaurant they have ever been to. That says a lot because that guest is very picky when it comes to food. The food here is absolutely amazing.

If you dont want to read the whole review heres a summary:-very curt, unwelcoming hostess-decent food that is overpriced-nice atmosphereMy family and I ate here around 2pm on a Saturday. It wasn't busy and we paid $50.25 for four people. As soon as we walked through the door, the hostess stared at us with such distaste that I immediately felt unwelcomed. As she assisted us never once did she smile and she treated other customers similarly, even at the register when we paid for our meals. As a past food service worker I understand that employees may have rough days and they can be too exhausted to smile, but as a hostess tasked with welcoming so many customers into the restaurant, I expected her to be more friendly. She gave us the impression that she did not want to be there and that she didn't care about the guests she was seating. The other waitress didn't smile either but she at least nodded in response when we said “thank you” instead of look away and almost roll her eyes like the hostess did.I enjoyed the atmosphere of the restaurant! Its cozy and there was no intrusive music/background noise. I appreciate this because I could talk to my family. One of the chopsticks provided to us had a waxy, spider-web-like white substance twined around it. It looked like melted plastic or wax and it was on the end of the chopstick meant to pick up food. This flaw was very clearly visible on the darkly-colored utensil and yet the eating hazard was still given to us to use.The dishes were served in filling portions and we were served very quickly. My dad loved his tripe pho! The beef and meatball pho tasted okay but it had a fishy aftertaste. They included bean sprouts already in the soup so the customer can't choose to add or omit it. I say this because the menu doesn't mention that bean sprouts are served already in the soup rather than on a separate dish as other restaurants do, so we didn't know to tell them “no”. The egg noodles are salty but delicious. The beef chow fun was a huge disappointment. Here it costs $12.50 but I have had better beef chow fun for $8.00 elsewhere. Mi's chow fun is strangely slimy and shiny (yes gravy can make it wet but Mi's is a cheap takeout quality slimy). The flavor isn't as good as others I've tasted and as the food cooled down it tasted more and more unappealing. Overall the average-quality food was overpriced and I love the comfortable atmosphere, but the staff was rude enough to drop an average 3-star rating to a 2. I note that the owners of the restaurant read these reviews and a past review mentioned rude staff too, but with my experience today maybe they haven't become any less impolite.
Tsing Tao

We found this place after our local Chinese food restaurant shut down. This place is great, we come here just about every other week and it has never disappointed. Service is great, food is great, and prices are also great. Food comes out fast and really hot. Great selection of typical food at most Chinese restaurants, also lots of veggie options.
China Wok

The food is OK, but there are definitely way better Chinese restaurants in the area. Fried rice was very strong pepper flavor. Pot stickers were kind of dry, though the filling was ok.
Special Noodle
3288 Pierce St C136, Richmond, CA 94804, United States
What a fun place. The wall LED screens really sets the mood and the servers look like they just came from the gym. The service was extraordinarily fast and efficient and the foods tend towards the Yunnan areas, and can be spicy. This is not your typical Chinese restaurant.
Hong Kong Snack House
3288 Pierce St #111, Richmond, CA 94804, United States
Little hole in the wall Cafe that serves what essentially is asian street food. They have vietnamese sandwiches, Boba drinks, sweet ginger tofu, crepes, egg buble waffle, and some other sweet and savory offerings. You can easily find this shop by following the loud techno/club/dance music they play on the speakers. The workers are really nice and explain what they have to offer and what it is if you dont know. It can get a bit overwhelming if there are lots of people waiting since the menu is so diverse. The entire shop looks like someone just crammed lots of signage and decorations in the tiny space to make it look busier and fuller. I dont even know how the people that work there get behind the counter. Haha. When we came for a weekend late night snack/dessert run at close to 8:40pm there wasnt too many people but within 5 to 10 minutes more people started to come by to buy stuff. We ordered a crepe that had fresh mango pieces, ice cream and whip cream; a crepe with fresh strawberry pieces, ice cream and whip cream; thai iced tea with Boba; and a warm silken tofu with ginger syrup. The mango crepe was delicious and not too sweet. The strawberry crepe was too sweet since they used strawberry jam while the mango crepe had a drizzle of mango syrup. I couldnt taste the Thai ice tea until we got home and ate something salty to counter all that sweet stuff we ate. I didnt even attempt to try the warm silken tofu since I was eating the crepe and I wouldnt have tasted anything anyways. We will be back to try the other stuff they have. Everything looks delicious.Update 10/15/23. Came here for a little treat because of my sons birthday. We noticed that they had signs advertising 20th anniversary buy 2 get 1 free deal. Honestly I dont remember them being there for 20 years but whatever... We ordered Thai teas, fish curry balls, and bubble egg waffles. The Thai teas were good, the curry balls were pretty flavorful and firm with a bit of chewiness but I had to take them off the stick in order to coat them in the curry sauce at the bottom of the tray. The waffles were hot with a good vanilla flavor. They were crunchy on the outside with a chewy mochi like interior.Update 3/9/24. Came here for an after dinner treat and got ourselves some crepes. Super yummy as always and friendly owner. They still have a special buy two get one free deal. We ordered three crepes, and the third was free.
