Hoicin Cantonese Restaurant

I have no idea why it took so long to find such a good Chinese restaurant. The Peking duck dish is excellent.

T Kee Restaurant
1910 Fruitridge Rd, Sacramento, CA 95822, United States
We went there with a family of 7 to celebrate Chinese New Year. My son was hesitant to eat there when we first arrived due to the less than stellar exterior appearance of the restaurant, but by the end of dinner, he asked if we could eat there again! We ordered the banquet meal. It came with 10 items. For the most part it was quite delicious and definitely well priced. We also ordered the chow fun and chow mein which were about what one would expect. Overall, the experience reminded me of the banquets in SF’s China Town I used to go to when I was a kid, especially the way the lobster was prepared, which is lacking in the Greater Sacramento Area. I’m 39 years old and have lived in Sac my entire life for perspective, but I digress…The only item I was hesitant to eat on the set menu was the sea cucumber, but surprisingly it was pretty good! Well, the bbq platter was the usual “BBQ platter” served at Chinese banquettes. They had the usual weird cold chicken and pork, but at least they had crispy pork belly! My favorite was the Peking duck. It’s my favorite food and it was quite delicious; about what you would expect from a restaurant that serves a decent Peking duck. The hoisin sauce was a little thicker than I would like though. Must have been home made. The buns they gave for the duck were bigger than the average restaurant, which was a good thing for us. (I usually have to ask for more). It was more than comparable to the duck at one of the best rated Chinese restaurants in the Natomas area that I regularly eat at; about $20 cheaper too. For that reason alone, I will be back to this restaurant. Again, Peking duck is my favorite food and it was definitely worth $28 for a whole duck. It wasn’t the best I’ve ever had, but definitely up to par if you like Peking duck. The mango juice that was served mid-meal was a pleasant surprise. I read some reviews and thought it would taste like it was from powder, but it actually the real deal; nice and thick like it was from a real mango. The only downside was the service in the latter part of the meal. It was by no fault of the employees working there. They just seemed very short staffed for the amount of tables they had to serve. I felt bad that the servers had to work so hard. We were lucky and showed up at 5:00 on a Saturday. They weren’t busy when we got there but it was quite crowded by about 6:00. My recommendation is to get there early if you don’t want to wait. But it’s not bad if you enjoy your company.Overall I would say this place is solid if you like authentic Chinese food, and the prices are super reasonable. If you haven’t been before, give it a shot. That’s what my family did and it was well worth the risk.

East Side Chef Restaurant
2105 Jefferson Blvd, West Sacramento, CA 95691, United States
This is my favorite Chinese food restaurant in west sacramento, the flaming platter is really fun! The staff has always been very pleasant and the menu offers selections for almost anyone. This place has large seething areas and can accommodate families and parties very well. If you are thinking about eating Chinese food in west sacramento you should definitely check this place out.

Dragon Palace Restaurant

That Chinese food here is really really great. There isnt anything that Ive gotten from here that I have not liked. Its very reasonably priced and I consider it one of the better Chinese restaurants in Sacramento. We also have a daily Buffet Monday to Friday. Yeah, I think 7: 50 and its all fresh food made on the spot.

Shanghai Garden Restaurant
800 Alhambra Blvd #4436, Sacramento, CA 95816, United States
Not sure what happened, but Shanghai Garden does not serve the food it did 10 years ago. Pretty basic set of choices and everything is covered in some sweet sauce or its so oily its inedible. Id pass unless you were completely out of options for Chinese food, but the other Chinese restaurants downtown arent much better.

King Palace Seafood Restaurant

Our favorite Chinese Restaurant in the Sacramento area. Food is always great and the owner is very friendly. We had our wedding banquet there 13 years ago and have been going there ever since.

The Mandarin Restaurant

Food is sub-par. I wont order food from here again. Burt potstickers, heavily breaded shrimp appetizer, and cream cheese puffs were thick and hard on my mouth. Over priced-35 dollars wasted. Not good. Keep searching for a good Chinese restaurant to go to

Wings Restaurant

To begin with, very hole in the wall surface. And also has been thru many possessions yet truthfully this is a substantial renovation from the previous ones. I really enjoyed the food. My dads favored Chinese restaurant closed so I just helped in attempting brand-new places with him. Theres a car park behind through a street by the pizza location but honestly it really felt like even more initiative getting in and out of there as well as I most likely would just park on the road. Its hard to detect out their car park places, however theyre method in the back left side. the old sign from the previous owners are there however its for the present restaurant. I wasnt expecting much for solution as the majority of the reviews were for distribution. Honestly we simply desired excellent food. Its not an incredibly family-Esque restaurant however there are a few booths available to eat at in the direction of the front. the backside though was extremely dark as well as practically tossed me off eating there. Theres a piano occupying a massive portion of space as well as theres no real role for that existing considering that it was so extraordinarily silent lol. It was empty when I can be found in so team was captured sort of off-guard, went away then placed 2 food selections on a table (there were 3 of us lol), left once more, as well as it was a bit unstable upon ordering and also obtaining the food yet service got a little as more people came in yet sadly for us we were nearly done consuming already. You can purchase family design with specific dishes however I think the finest bargain is probably supper combinations. All portions were massive. My plate was quite much overflowing with food so I only ate half of it. I ordered salt and pepper pork combo with fried rice (you obtain an option of that or chow mein.) Besides that, we bought pork fu young, pork chow fun, and sizzling rice soup. The rice really did not sear also best out of the kitchen area, so it lacked the visual charm, yet it tasted fine. Whatever else was excellent. Though there were much less wrappers for the bbq pork fu young than meat fillings. The proportion was a bit off however they created good leftovers. I did not receive a side soup for my dinner unique though and can not flag any person down in time so I simply disregarded it.Overall, if youre hungry and also desire yummy, big portioned food worth your loan, this place will certainly get the job done! Perfect for takeout and also simply grabbing a bite! Otherwise most likely not the most effective household supper area.

Da Fei Ge Restaurant
5635 Freeport Blvd STE 1, Sacramento, CA 95822, United States
I think I found the best Chinese keto place in town lol! Believe it or not, this is one of the few Chinese restaurants that doesn’t have rice on its menu! Service is a little slow but they get it done. Did not care for the smashed cucumbers (had it better), but the tofu with egg, lamb skewer, grilled eggplant, and deep fried buns were fantastic.

Changs Chinese
2711 Del Paso Rd, Sacramento, CA 95835, United States
So this place is awesome. I've been a loyal customer to this Family for 30 years. Original was down on W El Camino across from Scary Bel Air. Had one in Davis too. But the kids and the grandkids of the Original brothers run this one. Secret Menu item Hunan Beef. So good but is Best in house straight off the fire with plain white rice. My daughter always hogs the General Chicken. My son the Chicken Chow Mein. Pork Chiw Fun too. We switch between HotNSour and Wonton soup. I have a friend from Oregon who swears by their Walnut prawns if he's within 100 miles. Pot Stickers are the real deal. Ask for the “real” hot mustard if you order the egg rolls.
