Louies Chinese Restaurant
1936 S Pacific Ave, San Pedro, CA 90731, United States
Bottom line: good food at good prices. Waited over three years to try it because Im kind of a food snob and I moved to San Pedro in the summer and saw that they left their door open and was automatically turned off. Hate the ideas of possible flies and I thought I didnt see that many people there. Then one day last week when I was really craving Chinese food, I thought, duh, just request what I want and not select one of the many items all ready to go. So glad I did because first, it was really busy and not at all the empty restaurant I had thought. Lots of locals ordering the ready made items and ordering off the menu. And my food was good so lesson taught. Try it out before judging.

First of all let me say that all the staff at this location is doing a wonderful job on serving the public during the lunch rush! All you guys are just amazing and outstanding performance, and Panda Express corp you got your self a bunch of great people.Today, February 3, 2024 me and a co-worker had the orange chicken with white rice and chow mein. It was amazing, hot fresh and the service was top notch. At no time did I had any problems at this place nor did I see any thing that did not look good. I believe that when people are in a bad mood, they go and write bad reviews about this place, very sad...But I sat right here in the lobby watching people and the way they talk to the staff is just not right. People have more respect for everyone. This goes to the crew at Panda Express, you guys are doing just fine! Keep up with the good work, see you soon.~Harry Irvine

Give 4 stars, we all should give time for new restaurants to improve and thus encourage more Chinese restaurants to open in the area. Garlic noodle 5 stars, VERY VERY good, taste is awesome, my kid ate the entire thing rather than sharing with me some. XLB, 4 stars, dough can be a bit thinner. Large XLB, 3.5 stars, kinda on the pricy side. Environment and service attitude, 5 stars, staff and everyone is very polite and nice, its obvious team is still in dry run mode to find the perfect rhythm to run the restaurant. Decor is modern and cozy. Food portion / price, 3 stars, i do wish portion can be a big larger or price can be a bit lower because I was hungry again around 9pm that day. Overall its a nice restaurant that I do hope to do better and would like to come back and visit again in a few months.

First time here. At first when you go into the restaurant it doesnt look as though the food will be good but surprisingly it was very good. So i say you really should give it a try. Egg rolls were very good they had a very strong flavorful taste. Egg foo young tasty. Kung pao chicken excellent not too spicy, mild actually.Chicken and green beans pretty good. Beef with broccoli not too shabby either. ????10/7/23 ⭐ Went in to order some egg rolls only, we just wanted a simple late night bite to eat since weve been here before and enjoyed the food egg rolls included. However this time around ordered egg rolls and Ive got to say I didnt care for them at all, not much flavor and the oil thats being used was poor quality. I actually felt sick from my stomach from the egg rolls up to the next day ? eww ! My friend said the same thing. Not the same*. Wont be ordering anymore. Sad ?.

Suilys Cafe
1 San Pedro Rd, Colma, CA 94014, United States
I have been going here for twenty five years .You could spend 20 times more money and not get as good as the food here. Anyone who knows how to order at a Chinese restaurant knows you order your food not from a menu but from the wall. On the walls are pieces of paper that briefly describe a dish Lets say Rock Cod fillet with black bean .if you dont want black bean you order Rock Cod fillet with ginger and green onions. If you are at a loss for words you ask the only waiter at Suilys what you could get instead of black bean with your Rock Cod .your fillet will not have inches of breading on it just fillet and your choice of sauce. Their fried flounder the best Ive ever had.. they have gai lan pork and beef all cooked to your order in a wok five feet from your table at a half open kitchen .its a small place but Id rather go there than any other place in San Francisco. There is no decor other than clean simple and I only have eyes for the food.

San Pedro Square Market Bar
87 N San Pedro St, San Jose, CA 95110, United States
We came from out of town just to visit this market. (An hour and a half, drive time) Read a few reviews on the restaurants, but not too much said about the whole market itself. So, I wanted to review the market as a whole. Ill try, I mean. Arrived 10 minutes before doors were opened. Seems like a good neighborhood/area of San Jose. Plenty of parking when we arrived at 10:45am.*Free parking for the first 90 minutes, large parking garage, we ended up paying $3 for the extra 30-40 minutes afterward. We walked halfway around the block, and everything outside was kept clean and pleasing to the eyes. There was a coffee shop already open and taking customers, especially love the outdoor seating. Saw a few dogs on leashes. Their main website says dogs allowed, they just need to be well-behaved.*Two main food courts. Both courts have their own ambiance. One seems more dimmed and busier while the other was more open (bigger as well) stalls spaced more apart. Surprisingly, both courts had bars. One had a full service bar while the other mainly focused on craft beers, micro brew & IPAs on tap. This bar had canned beers too if there wasnt anything on tap you didnt like. There is plenty of outside seating area from four tops to benches to seating for 6-8 people. Tables and booths inside market area too.*Bathrooms- 4 of them situated around the market. And each had 3-6 stalls per bathroom.*Security was present. They seemed vigilant and were always walking around.*18-20 stalls of food, drinks, and snack stands to pick from. Asian, Mexican, pizzeria, American food to coffee, tea and boba drinks to pick from.

China Camp Beach
899 N San Pedro Rd, San Rafael, CA 94903, United States
I decided to go on a picnic, and since we were driving past the area, I decided to go out to China Point. We found parking just before the entrance to the China beach area and paid the $5 park fee. It was an easy walk down to the beach area, which had plenty of picnic tables. If we had brought a blanket, we might have picniced on the beach. There were a few kids splashing in the water along the long beach, with a dog or two thrown in for good measure. A few ancient buildings. Not as many signs explaining the history of the area as one might want. Nice scenery. Fresh air. Helpful park rangers. So I had a good picnic, even if I didnt take more advantage of the parks offerings.

Senfuku Japannese Restaurant
380 W 6th St, San Pedro, CA 90731, United States
Best sushi in L.A.Just TRY to find a real authentic Japanese sushi bar. They hardly exist anymore. Most people cant tell the diff. between Korean and Chinese people running sushi places, but believe me, theres a huge difference.I lived in Japan. This is like home sweet home. Good people, good vibes, great sushi, good experience every time Ive eaten there. Loyal customers, and like real authentic Japanese shushi places, they know and interact with their regulars.Ive been coming down from N.Calif. for months, and now that I discovered this lovely little restaurant, Im making a beeline before I do anything else.
