Sushi & Roll Japanese Cuisine

Another update: my husband loved the roll I got and wants to order again. So I rexamined the photos of the menu and it indeed does say togo items do not include SALAD. Nothing about no soup. Which I called specifically about yesterday. So I got 1) lied to on the phone by the girl 2) ripped off on my soup, which I wanted enough to callback. I will be calling back and speaking to a manager about my f#@$ing soup cause Im that petty right now. If you dont want to do your job correctly, get a new one instead of deliberately lying to people.Update: finally got through after the phone rang and rang and rang.. and rang and rang and rang. For any future customers, apparently somewhere on their menu it says soup and side salad not included - at least thats what the girl on the phone said. Will be trying a different venue next time cause thats really lame. Especially if you purchase a $15 roll to go.So the menu online says all rolls come with salad and miso soup, when my husband showed up for pickup all they handed him was a roll. When he asked for the rest of it they gave him just a salad (I ordered a seaweed salad as well and its not worth it tbh unless you want an actual salad and a small corner of seaweed salad).Really disappointed as I love miso soup. One would think if salad and miso soup comes standard with rolls it wouldnt be so easy to forget. Been trying to call back and phone is just a busy signal.Really annoying.

Sushi Sawa

You guys need a reality check with the reviews cause this aint it.So lets begin with the song choice for a Japanese restaurant...opera. Okay, maybe I was being too judgy. If you are 510 and above, forget about having a comfortable seating because you will find yourself bending your back more than your gf.(Apologizies for anyone out there without a gf)The only reason why its 4 stars and I added a star is the food. The food was able to make up for it. Although I can only recommend the baked salmon roll...it was pretty good.
Yoshinoya (Lower Azusa Rd & Santa Anita Ave) - ...
11030 Lower Azusa Rd, El Monte, CA 91731, United States
2023-1-27: This branch has always performed below average: yesterday I tried to use the apps buy one bowl get one free coupon, and after the system scan the coupon disappeared, which meant it worked. The girl told me the total was $13.xx. I knew it couldnt be right because $8.69 plus a 10% tax should be $9.56. I asked about it, and it took her 5 minutes but still couldnt figure it out. Finally, a manager came and asked me, I show him what happened, and he replied Yeah, yeah, I know! Then, he gave me a discount of 2 for $10, and I was charged $11.00 after tax! Please get your numbers right and be serious!!!2020 review: After the order, I asked the girl to exchange two dimes and a nickel into a quarter. She acted like I was a thief and spoke with a really condescending tone we cannot do that okay! Bit she gave it to me right after. Whats the big deal? I am ordering from your restaurant! Her jacket hid her name tag, and thats predicted; otherwise she would have been let go long time ago due to complaints!
Sushi Factory
864 E Alosta Ave, Azusa, CA 91702, United States
I Got Food Poisoning:I hate to leave this review, but people need to be warned. I ordered from Sushi Factory a week ago. Irene (The Manager) took my order which was tempura calamari and a chicken teriyaki bento box that contained a California roll, miso soup, salad, and the chicken. A few hours after eating the food, I got food poisoning and alerted Irene. Yes, I went to the doctor to be sure and was informed that it was food poisoning. Irene the manager told me that its not from them and that I got sick elsewhere. She then had the nerve to tell me that my body must be indigenous to sushi which is also false because I eat sushi frequently. I am deeply saddened that my experience was less than stellar considering that I wanted to give this local spot a chance.
Yoshinoya Covina

Went here for lunch with bogo coupon (Reg Bowl). I used the drive-thru and ordered, and asked for not so fried rice which is additional 50c. The drive-thru board had price of $6.99 for the reg bowl and I knew I had to pay .50c for the upgrade. I did math in my head $6.99 + 50c + 75c (tax @ 10%) for ballpark total of $8.25. When I got to the window the kid said the charge was $8.92, so I asked him to break down the charge. He said the reg bowl was $7 and change, then charged me twice for the rice and added tax. I told him the board said $6.99 for the bowl. His response was the price changed today. Ok, so why not change the board? I told him I would not pay anything other than what the board said, and he said he had to charge me the higher price even though the board was not current. I asked for the manager and a lady came to the window and said no deal plus I had to pay for the upgrade on the free bowl. I told her to make it reg rice because I was going to pay when it should be no additional cost. She said to go around and go to the back at the line because I was holding up the drive- thru! Not what I call customer service! And, it's not about .70c, it's about getting off your behind and change the drive-thru board if you change pricing!
JP Hawaiian Katsu
1600 S Azusa Ave #169j, City of Industry, CA 91748, United States
At first, I was nervous, wondering what the store would be like in the empty food court of an abandoned shopping mall. They serve Hawaiian Japanese food, and I ordered a cutlet onigiri. The cutlet is thin and crispy, and when you add the sauce, it tastes like a normal sauce cutlet bowl and is delicious. Its interesting because you can get a good sense of Japanese food with a cross-cultural feel.
