Kyoto Palace Japanese Steakhouse
1875 S Bascom Ave #2500, Campbell, CA 95008, United States
This was a real mixed bag kind of experience. My partner and I made reservations for 630p. We arrived right on time, but then had to wait nearly 10 minutes to be seated at a table, and I couldnt understand the delay, as the seats at our table appeared to be available right away. And then we really had to wait. From when we were seated, we waited an additional 35 minutes at our completely filled table before a server came by to get drink and food orders. This was frustrating, as we were getting quite hungry. When the teppanyaki chef did arrive, the food was enjoyable. Our food was cooked properly to our order, and was flavorful. A highlight for me was the chicken fried rice and the sautéed mushrooms. There was slightly too long of a wait between finishing our main course and getting the ice cream dessert.Ambience wise, the biggest issue was the exhaust fans for the teppanyaki grills didnt seem to be clearing the air enough in the dining area, and it was smokier than Ive previously experienced in other teppanyaki restaurants. The decor is dated, but in a way that is sort of endearing to me as a child of the 80s. The interior also felt slightly underlit.Overall, I dont feel my partner and I got a very good value for our meal, and Im disappointed to say we wont be returning here in the future.

I always have great food here along with a wonderful staff and guess what? Its affordable! Yes, Japanese restaurants can be pricey, but this one is not. Great atmosphere as well. I highly recommend this place. Definitely a hidden gem in Campbell

Sushi Zono

Our go to Japanese restaurant in the Campbell area. Locally owned with friendly service and fresh fish. Its relatively small but weve never had a problem getting a table. Plan ahead for take out as they do sometimes take upwards of 45 minutes to prepare your order on busy nights.

Sushirrito
1640 S Bascom Ave, Campbell, CA 95008, United States
The sushirrito at this local kitchen is not on par with the sushirrito in directly owned locations (e.g. Palo Alto). Not only are the rolls about 2/3 of the normal rolls, its overpriced, lower in quality, and not as well made. The protein portion is abysmal, rice hard, seaweed soggy, and tempura drenched in grease. Ive been a couple times hoping that the poor quality was a fluke the previous time, but each time Ive been disappointed. Tried reflecting this with the management but never received a response or saw an improvement. Do yourself a favor and just go to the Palo Alto location!

One Fish Raw Bar

We ordered the premium family style. It’s a 5 courses set. Instead of high quality food, all we got are dressing sources. All the foods are decorated with not impressive dressing. $155 per person. We got yellow fine tuna as one of the five courses. Total $310 before tax and tip. You can order a sushi boat, 6 pcs toro and 2 entrees in high end Japanese restaurants. Nothing worth to mention. The waitress tried to introduce each dish but obviously she can’t remember every dish. Also, she asked us if we had any allergies, we said no. Later on, she served a beef rib. I had to ask if it was beef or pork because she only remembered it was rib and failed to mention it is beef rib. I told her we didn’t eat beef( we are in a raw fish restaurant). The waitress said this was why she asked us at beginning. Food is not worth, service not good

Naschmarkt Restaurant - Campbell
384 E Campbell Ave, Campbell, CA 95008, United States
Fantastic Austrian food in a classy but casual setting, with nice patio dining in a lovely neighborhood. I had lunch here and got the schnitzel sandwich, which was terrific. Im used to breaded pork being a little chewy (like pork katsu at Japanese restaurants), but this schnitzel was really tender and juicy. The pickles and aioli added great flavor, and the pretzel bun had the perfect chewiness. The truffle fries (more like wedges) were great. Make sure to ask for bread while waiting for your order as well -- their bread is amazing, and comes with some of the best butter Ive ever had. Service was exceedingly friendly.Ive also been at the Palo Alto branch, which is just as good. If youve never tried Austrian food, its really worthwhile!

Violet Aquarium LLC
1166 Campbell Ave, San Jose, CA 95126, United States
Every fish that I got from violet are healthy and eat well, high quality fish. I've decided to risk it and get a blue tang here, hopeful it doesn't get sick like online says they are prone to disease. Hope my luck doesn't change.Update October 2021I bought a marine betta from the shop at 7-8 pm and acclimated it for 1 hour through temp/drip method because the salinity was high. The next morning the fish was found dead. So I took out the camera and record that it had died within 24 hours. This is not the first time I bought fish or corals from them. I bought from them many times and spent a lot of money over my 2 year reefing. I was deeply disappointed this time around so I try to contact them to see if I could get some store credit. I was told that the marine bettas tail at shop look great the tail was not like the video I sent and It was healthy at the shop. The tail is due to the hermit crab cleaning up the dead fish. The marine betta wasnt fully healthy it wasnt swimming around the tank. I saw it laying and swimming near the sand. There was bruises at the bottom of the fish when I inspected it taking home. At the time i didnt pay much attention to it because I bought many fishes from the shop and high expectations. I didnt expect the fish to die within a night.I bought the fish to cheer myself because this couple week, life have been harsh on me. I was overjoyed when buying the marine betta. Ive been scoping at the site forever to get one so I was excited to get it. With this I became deeply disappointed and sad with the sale.Lesson learned to not expect the shop to give you healthy fishes even if you brought from them many times. Inspect for bruises and always ask if they can eat by showing you their feeding. Dont pick fishes that lay on sand bed pick fishes that swimming about and active. Overall Im deeply disappointed from this experience.May 2022 Update-Violet Sea shop has a lot of variety of fish, I am still disappointed with the previous experience with marine betta but this shop is still good with lots of fish. I think the best place to get fish that are rare. Only shop in San Jose that has saltwater fish that other saltwater fish store don't have. I still came back cus they only store that have fish that I want.

Best Taste Chinese and Sushi Restaurant
2360 S Bascom Ave, Campbell, CA 95008, United States
People who ran the restaurant were very friendly, but I did not care for the food. Its the first time I can ever recall getting lukewarm to cold hot tea. The wor won ton soup was dark like it had a lot of soy sauce based sauce poured in it. There were three very thin slices of BBQ pork that tasted really old and had no other flavor. It had 2 jumbo shrimp and 3 small lumps if something (mushy chicken maybe?). Thats it for protein! No bok choy (there were only a few pieces of Napa type cabbage) no pea pods, just 3 zigzags of carrot and some green onion. Inside the won tons, the filling very dark (more mystery meat). There was also an aftertaste, the kind you get when a restaurant uses a lot of msg. I ordered a combo fried rice to go and it doesnt smell right Im not sure it will be edible.. There wasnt one single piece of protein showing in the rice and I suspect there will be precious few beef, chicken, pork, or shrimp pieces within the rice if I take a chance and eat it later. Not too good for $15 rice. Even mediocre restaurants are capable of making delicious fried rice (Panda Express even makes fried rice with a better aroma).

UlavacharU Tiffins
1651 W Campbell Ave, Campbell, CA 95008, United States
My girlfriend and I are of South American and European descent, and were surprised others like us havent discovered Ulavacharu yet. Their regular Indian clientelle speaks to their authenticity.Weve been coming here almost weekly. The dosa and uttapam are gluten-free, vegan heaven! The 4 chutneys that come with are flavor bombs on the palette! Many of the dishes are around $10 and quite filling. My girlfriend is sooo sensitive to even the most subtle spicy flavor, and they accommodate her perfectly. All of the staff are friendly and kind.It used to be a Japanese restaurant, which has a clean open feel to it, and nicely decorated in Indian style.

We were looking for a Japanese restaurant and happened to find this restaurant. I tried ramen, broth was flavorful, rich and mouthwatering. My wife had some sushi and son picked a couple of items. Everything we tried here were delicious, must try.
