We came here for lunch during a weekday and it was not busy. Foods come out at normal time. Their rolls tasted good and in good portion. Gyoza was okay to me, outside is crispy but lack a bit of flavor inside. I ordered combo b with tonkatsu and kaki-fried. It threw me off that there was only 1 piece of kaki-fried in the meal set. Not sure if that was a mistake or I would have gotten another item instead of the kaki-fried.A decent restaurant in general. I might be back if I want Japanese food in the area.

One of the new places to eat at the Veranda that I wanted to try, Mikunis! This is at a great spot! Theres a huge parking lot and a few other things to do in the area while you wait for your table. (Cant make reservations) but they take your number down so you can be sure to be called. Theres a small play area for kids and you can watch the dancing water fall nearby.The restaurant has lots of seating inside and outside. They have a nice ambiance not too bright inside. The staff are wonderful, if you have any questions about their menu or sushi ask Eric. He was our server. His knowledge of sushi was amazing. Glad he was there to recommend some great favorites.We tried the Tommy Sushi, it had lots of wonderful things in it (tuna, soft shell crab, avocado, real crab topping on top (additional $3) but so worth it. We also tried albacore tuna for appetizer that was seared to perfection, that came with the spicy mayo sauce ...yummmmm!!!!! Oh please try the garlicky edimame soooo so good, do that to start with and finish with a sushi!!!! By the Way, they have a kids menu so yes, take the kiddos with you!!!Update: 02.07.2022. We ordered two different kinds of sushi one was Japanese Mafia Roll and Incredible roll. It was kind of funny because when they came they looked similar. The difference was mine had shrimp tempura filling and the other had imitation crab so just a little disappointed there.What I liked best this time was our order of Edimame seasoned with garlic, lemon, salt and cilantro and the freaky Brussels seasoned so well I could eat that by itself with just rice. I highly recommend these two appetizer unless you're going back to work :). The edimame is garlicky but soo good! I think we ordered five things and spent less than $75! Not bad at all! Service was awesome as usual!

Very friendly service, the waitress was so nice and attentive, and kept coming back to check on us. Were all happy with our food. The food was tasty and the fish was fresh. The portion was generous and the price was quite reasonable. Its definitely one of the best Japanese restaurant in Concord. Well surely come back. As a added bonus, they open until.11:30pm.

I could see, they’re definitely short staff. The server was in a hurry and it take him 10min to grab spoon.The front desk is not friendly, the small, petite lady at the receiving area has an attitude. Please take her off in there. Was just asking her and she’s rolling her eyes she didn’t notice I was looking at her. Why assign KAREN at the receiver? We’re Asians, this is not the Japanese restaurant I’ve been expecting, I’ve been to different Japanese restaurants, this is just 1-2star for me. The cook, failed multiple times when trying to do exhibitions, but I don’t mind, because I know he’s tired and he have a good personality. But the KAREN at the front desk, not acceptable. Our server is like a road runner. Lol! For us Asians it’s inappropriate to give the bills when we are just about to eat. We reserved at 5:15pm and waited 35mins,then another 40 minutes before we can finally start to eat. We reserved for 6, and our table was set for 5. I told KAREN, and she don’t care. Ambiance?2star. Server 1 star, cook 3stars, food??? It’s dry and not appealing, as I said I used to eat Japanese restaurants, to be honest, I’ve expected too much. In addition, with the Japanese restaurants we’ve been through, when you open the door, there’s a nice person waiting for you inside and they will greet you with Japanese with a smiling face, even when you leave. But you’re staff there, it’s awful. Food not bad. Good enough if you’re hungry.

Havent eaten at this restaurant since before COVID outbreak, but was one of our go to places for Japanese food. We like the teriyaki bowels, have tried the beef and chicken. Bowels come with miso soup, 2 pieces of California roll, and a good serving of edamame on the side. Food is consistently of good quality, reasonably priced, and large portions, with very friendly service. A local family run business with a casual atmosphere, good for families as well.

My new favorite restaurant! Backstory: I made a reservation her for my Moms birthday because the food looked great online. Once we parked and began walking to the restaurant we realized it was the same location as our favorite Japanese restaurant that closed 10 years ago... like late father, grandfather, and grandmother had many birthdays, anniversaries, retirement parties etc. at this place and so you can only imagine the strong memories tied to this location.We almost turned around and went somewhere else to avoid all the feels of seeing our family spot of 20+ years really gone.Well, Im glad we didnt turn around because the food, and I mean ALL the food is amazing! (Ive eaten here personally 6 times since our first time in January!) The honey beef with a side of coconut rice is my fave... but Ive loved every dish Ive tried. My sister who is very particular about what she likes and dislikes orders from here almost every other week.We had my sisters birthday here in February and I think its safe to say we have found our new favorite family restaurant in a space that has already given us some amazing memories and I hope many more to come.

My parents have been coming to this restaurant since my mom was pregnant with me, I am 17 and I've been coming to this place since I was born. Everything about this place is beautifully crafted and made with so much love. I still remember when the were right by the movie theater across the street, my family and I would everyday of the weekend bc of how much we love it. The owners and their daughter are amazing people, the cooks/sushi makers are hardworking and make the most delicious food, served fresh with outstanding flavors, the waiters and waitresses are always nice and welcoming, as well hardworking. The owners are there making sure everything is at place and you feel welcomed, either in the kitchen, working at the cash register or simply making a heart warming environment. My usual order when I go is 1(or 2) candy roll(s), love wings and sometimes I'll go with the kids spicy chicken. All their food is the most delicious and enjoyable food I've ever had. In 2 weeks I am moving across the country and I'm very saddened that these days will be my last ones of eating at my favorite restaurant. Although I will visit, I will miss and wish the very best for I love teriyaki and sushi's business.
