TERRRRRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE.My husband and I frequent this place all the time. They know us. Yet one thing we have always been bothered by is the music they play. If you have children or are bothered by cussing, do not come here...Today we decided to go eat lunch there. When we were just about done eating, a song came on with every curse word in the world, inuding the N and F word. The table next to us had 2 or 3 little kids. Their faces looked appalled when the song came on.I kindly asked a male server to change the song since there were kids there. He SMIRKED and left the table without saying Im sorry or Oh ok, yes, let me take care of that... NOPE, not one reassuring word. One minute later I see him laughing with another male worker (who also gave me evil eye) and the music changed to classical for 30 seconds. Yes, SECONDS. Then was changed back to the offensive song, but this time even LOUDER.For that reason, my husband and I will never be returning here. When a customer is eating at your restaurant, they deserve to feel comfortable. If they have the courage to ask you to change your OFFENSIVE music, humbly do it. Thats what true customer service is about. I will not give my money to a place that doesnt care AT ALL about my feelings.If the music is for the workers, I suggest they buy earphones and USE THEM, without destroying the minds of young children with that disgusting music they played today. I will never return and I will never recommend this place to anyone, ever again.Ichiban & Tokyo Garden, here we come!

Food is good. Customer service is horrible. Prices have gone up and food decreased. They include their own tip on to go orders.I have been a long time customers since 2012 and i have noticed the big difference in terms of price food and service. They are now putting less food per plate, for example the calamari was six pieces before the pandemic now is 3 pieces for same order and we pay more. The sushi just to have 12 rolls pieces now it has 10. Some platea increase up to five dollars with less food. Cmon why less food? When the weiter used to bring our food before the pandemic i didnt mind tipping them because they served it in nice plates and we received miso soup for free. Now, its Styrofoam and we have to beg for additional plastic cups to put our soy sauce, not to mention napkins... They give themselves a tip in to go orders and in restaurant, they included it on the total, ask for a detail receipt and you will see it. I just to love it and would go at least 3 times a month, now i will think about it before going. I might not go back since tacos are way cheaper in price. We end up paying 18.50 dollars more on the same order and way less food. >: (

I came here with my family when it first opened. And at first thought it was ANOTHER teriyaki place. But it is anything but an ordinary place. The owner is so nice to us when ever we come here. And the food here is tremendously good! And the price is a hell of a lot cheaper than any of the other teriyaki places here in South Gate. And the food is so delicious, its one of the reasons why we come here once a week! The sushi is really authentic. Four dollars for the California Roll, and Five and change for the spicy tuna roll. Youd think for such a cheap price, its also really cheap. But oh no. It is anything but cheap. Its really top quality sushi and sashimi. In conclusion, the food is 5 star quality. the environment is really clean. place is a little small, but all great things come in small sizes?.5 stars

I will start by talking about the food. I ordered the Azteca roll, Cilantro roll Sara roll, the jalapeño poppers and salmon and tuna sushi. Everything was excellent, amazing flavor. Why the 3 stars then? When I rate a place I take into consideration the whole experience. Here are the issues I have with this place: 1) When I called, i tried to connect like 10 times, always getting a busy signal, they are popular so Im sure people were calling to place their orders. 2) They do not have an online menu or website where I can see the pictures of their rolls, I spent some time browsing through Yelp and Google to figure out what roll was what.They need to invest in a good online ordering system, have an online menu where people can see pictures of what they offer. The stay at home situation we have is making a lot of people order take out, I believe a restaurant should make the process easy, for me, is part of the whole experience. My 2¢.

As expected the venting is poor so you leave with oil and scent of the food on your cloths. The room is loud,Smokey and music blasting so don’t expect a conversation. The carpet needs a deep cleaning as well as the hibachi grills. The food was not worth the price including the cooking show. Many better Japanese restaurants for your money. If you like having your cloth smell like what you eat then you’re better off going to a Korean bbq. Better food choices

Very good neighborhood restaurants! Its Japanese inspired but I dont see Japanese people operating it? But none the less its quick and very good food! The do have other food items like hot wings and burgers for a little extra variety which also are very good! The have a Downey inspired burger with hot cheetos if thats your vibe?but I like the teriyaki dishes ? very good! Priced $$around $8 to $10 dollars so good prices! You can eat there, its a clean but small fast food environment! Service good nice people, just a all around good joint thats local!????

I am not a person who likes to complain or leave bad reviews but I was a regular customer to them and I experienced something that no else should .I ordered food around March and I texted my order and the lady confirmed my order when I got there, the city health department was there and the employee told us that they couldn't serve us . I left empty handed . I drove there for nothing I was upset but I let it slide . Now, last week, i placed an order on their website and when I got there the truck wasn't even at the new paramount location, i already had paid for my food and was taken from my bank . I contacted them and the manager promised me a refund but it has been over a week and I haven't received nothing . I tried reaching them and they totally ghosted me! I do not recommend going to this place, bad service ! I was robbed. Do not place an order online ! They may not even be at their location and they will just rob your money !
