Wakatobi Japanese Grill Hibachi and Sushi
1130 Fremont Blvd Ste 102A, Seaside, CA 93955, United States
Not your usual halal restaurant. There are many middle east and indo pakistani restaurants in California however when it comes to Japanese this is the only one I have seen in California. It is conveniently located close to freeways with plenty of parking spaces. The manager greets you as soon as you enter the restaurant. It is a small size place but ample place in between the tables. We ordered lunch specialties, chicken, tofu and beef. Especially tofu was very good. It was well seasoned with right crispiness. Lunch specialties include soup, vegetables and choice of rice or noodles. Noodles were very tasty, cooked to right softness. The prices are very reasonable when compared to other similar places. We will recommend this to our friends and family.
Yuki Japanese Restaurant
1932 Driscoll Rd, Fremont, CA 94539, United States
Yuki is one of only a couple of authentic, Japanese-Japanese restaurants in Fremont. It often gets low marks on certain review sites because people go in expecting Crazy Super Gonzo Rolls and they throw a fit when they dont get them. Well, too bad. Its not that kind of place. Here you will find Japanese home-cooking-style dishes (nabe, croquettes, etc.), basic but good sushi (nigiri and maki), basic but good sashimi, a very short selection of California-style sushi rolls, and a handful of unfussy fusion items because, as the Japanese friend who introduced it to us said, the chef likes to experiment. Their Cali-style items are actually pretty good; they smoke their own salmon, as I recall, so the smoked salmon and cream cheese roll is unreasonably delicious. Their mackerel is excellent and its the first place I ever really liked it. Ramen is not a specialty, though; I would get that somewhere else.Service can be slow. Prices are fair; combination meals are pretty large.Adjust your expectations and you will have the best Japanese eating experience in Fremont. If all you want is multi-colored rolls with lots of sauces, though--and I admit those can be tasty--please go somewhere else.
Satomi Sushi
5026 Mowry Ave, Fremont, CA 94538, United States
We came on Juneteenth after 1) disappointment at KISEKI - only quick bites now and nigiri was completely removed from menu 2) went to the other Satomi accidentally 3) and there was a wait I guess it was a holiday. We came at around 1:00pm and the wait was around 20 minutes. Only one staff so we expected some wait after we placed the order, but she tried her best!Food was delicious and we are from Seattle (plenty of Japanese restaurants). We had katsu, tempura combinations, nigiris for ika, hotate and uni (of course for uni we ordered two), and lion king roll. I came to the conclusion that this definitely worth our wait! Will come again, and so far, best Japanese restaurant in Fremont!
Toro Sushi Stone Grill & Bar
43785 Boscell Rd, Fremont, CA 94538, United States
First of all - people need to stop claiming this place is “authentic!” There is nothing “Japanese authentic” about this place. Most Americans haven’t got a clue what “real Japanese sushi” is and this place DEFINITELY is not even close. The place is a Chinese ran! Nothing wrong with a Chinese guy running a Japanese restaurant but stop calling it authentic. The spicy tuna sushi/nigiri was awful; the kapa maki - almost hot to the touch?? Tai - old fish and had them take it back. Same with the Hamachi. The Waygu meat is U.S. and a bit steep. They have one small plate of Japanese Waygu BBQ - 4 slices for 90 USD?? Total rip off. Best part of the meal was the gyoza but it wasn’t homemade. Wait….. my drink, a coke was great! 2 stars because our server was fantastic - food, don’t waste your money!
Kazuma Sushi
47986 Warm Springs Blvd, Fremont, CA 94539, United States
If youre looking for nice Japanese restaurant in Fremont give Kazuma a try. Not as trendy or fancy as that place near the costco on automall but nicer most othe places.Located across from Ho chow in that little strip mall on warm springs, Kazuma has a large and extensive menu. There are two spacious dining areas. Atmosphere is modern with dark paneling and ceiling, perhaps a little too dark. Ceilings are high enough to allow for conversation.Overall food is quite good. Portion size is average and prices are moderate. One could slightly argue that that the rolls are on the small side.I had the sushi moriwase and the presentation was great. Every piece of fish was fresh and overall I was quite happy with it. It tastes very bit as good as it looked. Their green pepper (i think its pepper) relish really complemented the flavorsThey have a bar but it was stocked with sake and beer. The dining area to the right is for larger parties. I guess they dont serve Japanese whiskies. They should. The restaurants location across from the companies on warm springs boulevard makes it ideal for company lunches and dinners.Overall Kazuma is a good choice for getting a nice Japanese meal in a nice Japanese restaurant. Its a good place to take a friend or significant other.
Bodo Lucky Japanese Restaurant

Our new favourite Lunch spot in Fremont. They have a fast and friendly arrive with lots of bento and rice and noodle dishes and sets to choose from. All sets include free tea/coffee/drink, soup, and dessert! The soup is a type of yummy fish soup that you won’t taste in Japanese restaurants!
Papasan Rolls and Bowls
3353 Walnut Ave, Fremont, CA 94538, United States
Best family own Japanese restaurant in Fremont. I am definitely their frequent customer. Just plan to go early on Friday and Saturday, it is usually packed. I really like their softshell crab, Chirashi and Ramen.
Little Madfish Fremont
43337 Christy St #3032, Fremont, CA 94538, United States
Let me tell you! I LOVE SUSHI ?! I always have, I remember going to a super expensive ritzy foo foo sushi restaurant in Santana Row for my friends 30th and spending $$$ on deep fried California rolls!!! ? those were the days, but outta the blue years later I developed an allergic reaction to Fish! Like not even subtle --- were talkin epi-pen status but that doesnt curve my cravings for sushi! So recently I decided to order through UberEats some fare. Little Mad Fish came up in my search as not only super reasonable but super close to work. But I didnt want to place my order before talking to someone about my allergies on the phone. So I call and Gina picks up ? & let me tell you --- She is the kindset soul there is! She let me substitute and switch out all of the fish based items with vegetarian options, not only was the sushi and bento box DELICIOUS ? but her warmth and charm and understanding made the experience all that much more wonderful! I will definitely be ordering my dinner through LMFs Gina! Shes a SUPER STAR ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ ??
Yokohama Iekei Ramen Fremont
39206 Fremont Blvd, Fremont, CA 94538, United States
Sharing the noren of the ramen shop Tsuru Family in Yokohama? The taste was better than I expected, and the char siu was delicious, but I was very disappointed in the lack of toppings and the lack of the ingredients listed on the toppings. In Japan, a bowl of ramen costs around 1,000 yen, but in America, it costs around $18 per person, including tip. Maybe I shouldnt expect too much because its America, but I would like them to at least include the toppings listed on the menu. I ordered spicy miso ramen, salt ramen, I forgot the photo, but white rice (Japanese size small), and gyoza (fried). I feel like Im not used to customer service. The inside of the store was clean, and the floors and tables were clean. On the table was a pitcher containing pickled ginger, vinegar with garlic, soy sauce, white sesame seeds, and water. It seems like it took a while from ordering to receiving all the items. I think Ill go again because I liked the food in the neighborhood and the store was clean, but I wish the stores door would at least be half closed at night. It was really cold...and the toppings and customer service were a bit weird, so I gave it a ⭐️3.

Had a lunch with a friend who recommended this Japanese restaurant. The sushi was fresh, but service was so so.
