Sakura Japanese Steak & Seafood House
985 Foothill Blvd, La Cañada Flintridge, CA 91011, United States
It is better then an average Japanese restaurant in that they feature teppanyaki (They cook in front of you), have a bar, and beautiful interior in the bar area. I have enjoyed the majority of their food. The only downside is that it is not cheap.
Haruka Sake and Sushi
711 Foothill Blvd G, La Cañada Flintridge, CA 91011, United States
Haruka Sake & Sushi is truly a great Japanese restaurant. The food is amazing, excellent service, with a relaxing atmosphere. The Lobster roll was amazing, and the ikura salmon roe was fresh and tasty. The 210 roll was very good, and the salmon skin salad was very good.Great hospitality and service by the owner, Sean. Most definitely we will be back at Haruka sushi in LA Canada.
Sushi Nakata Express
456 Foothill Blvd suite c, La Cañada Flintridge, CA 91011, United States
A small sushi place located in La Canada. There are a few tables inside for eating, but seems more like a take out place. Also saw Japanese bagged snacks and drinks for purchase. The menu is mostly sushi, however there are a few bento options. The daily special menu inside also provided a few more non-sushi options. We ordered an assortment of sushi items and a karaage bento. For the price, I felt the amount and quality was decent. Nothing fancy, however fish was fresh and satisfying.Food can take time to prepare so might be best to call ahead to pick up if opting the takeout route. The hand roll menu was interesting and may try this out next time Im in the area for a quick sushi fix.

It's all about the art of the nature and the nature of the art! I was immersed in this land of green with spotlight's of color throughout!I thought it would be nice to see the gardens before the heat set in, tho realized the pace would be better without rushing. Thus, to my visual delight, it turned out to be a cool experience! There was plenty of shade, and the original land owner's residence, the Boddy House, had cool artwork, restrooms and air conditioning, making for a midpoint stretch. It was all downhill from there! There was a nice mix of gardening with the plants and flowers, shrubs, trees and colorful artwork along the trails.I was a bit disappointed by the lack of maintenance in some areas, especially with the rose bushes. It seemed as though the garden was short staffed, if not for the shortage of water.Senior's in the ticket line ahead of me were given the senior's discount upon request. Seniors who didn't ask, were charged the regular rate. Also, those who were physically challenged to walk the course had expected to take a train ride, not knowing the train was for children. The Boddy House is included for park visitors to tour thru, though unexpectedly filled with colorful artwork. I'm posting an additional review with photo's under the Google Maps icon for the house. To summarize, the gardens can be enjoyable, accounting for the shortcomings, dressing as per the weather forecast and wearing comfortable walking shoes. The info leaflet had mentioned to step into nature. I hope that's with the understanding of what the visit entails. Then as needed, to sit, rest and enjoy the view!

KOKO ROLL Cafe
2265 Foothill Blvd, La Cañada Flintridge, CA 91011, United States
Fruit açaí bowl is ubiquitous and you know what a good bowl when you see/taste it. Koko Roll Café is a small café that serve poke bowl, acai, sushi and milk teas. They're located in a midsize plaza on Foothill blvd in La Cresenta. I came here for an açaí bowl for lunch. Its indoor was small but spacious enough for a dine-in. Moreover, it's neat, clean, organized and well lit. Upon my entry, Asia, a young white female staff, gave a perfunctory greeting. It was my first time here and I sensed a negative vibe. I quickly perused their menu and ordered an açaí fruit bowl. Customers need to check and write down your order on the little menu white board (bowl, poke, sushi) provided. The açaí fruit bowl was mediocre because the acai base was too frozen like a marble. Thus, I had to exert a relative good force to get a piece. Bolocks! Conversely, the fruits (strawberry, blueberry, banana) and granola were fresh and delicious and crunchy, respectively. Clearly, they have not mastered how to make a good-great açaí bowl. Prices seem fair. Free wifi available. Staff was cordial and followed health protocol. Finding a parking spot was with ease. In this voluminous review, it's time to make a recommendation. Overall, I did not enjoy my açaí bowl and I do not recommend this café shop.

I was looking for something specific and didnt find it. Great store for bedding, kitchen, and decor items. Free parking next to store, in a small shopping area with restaurants, target, Jewelers, and nice Japanese restaurant.
