Shogun Sushi
828 E Ave Q6, Palmdale, CA 93550, United States
It’s a real Japanese restaurant! I first met a real Japanese restaurant in the US! You will feel as if you are in Japan. Traditional Japanese dish, not a creative dish like other fancy sushi restaurants.

Where to begin. This location is beautiful and clean. Sadly the FOH staff are not. We visited this location during lunch on a Wednesday. There was four other tables not including the sushi bar. My husband order the bento box- Chicken Teriyaki and California Roll lunch combo I ordered the pork and vegetable pot stickers (gyoza) and the Good Choice Handroll modified to add cream cheese. Our total was $33.46 with two sodas included. Our waitress and all the FOH staff seem to be in their late teens/early twenties. Sadly they lack the necessary skills to serve food and provide a memorable dining experience. Few words and no personality. The young male busser seemed to be the only one who understood how to navigate the service industry. Sadly he won't get the leadership or cultivation he needs to further his career if he chooses this industry. As for our server, she not only had poor recommendations that she rambled off while reading the menu, she completely disregarded my request for my cream cheese addition. On top of which she didn't offer to recreate the dish, she just brought me a slice, which was the size of stick of gum, to slap on top of my cone shaped sushi (roll). The soy paper wrap to my roll was too hard to cut with a fork or knife and impossible to eat as the ingredients weren't evenly placed through the dish. The restaurant menus and the Togo menus differ in ingredients for the specific roll ( Good Choice Handroll). So I couldn't even verify if this was what i ordered. My husbands chicken the Chicken Teriyaki bento was the only thing worth talking about. The rest was comparable to supermarket sushi and gas station food.If the MGMT team and owner got together and trained their staff and retrained the sushi staff they might have a fighting chance to get back on the game. Other wise they should save face and close up shop.I'm a 13 year FOH/BOH career industry member
Goldfish Japanese Restaurant
3135 Rancho Vista Blvd suite g, Palmdale, CA 93551, United States
My experience at Goldfish Japanese Restaurant was decent overall. The food had its moments of goodness, but there were also aspects that fell short of my expectations. The sushi was fresh, but some of the other dishes lacked that same level of quality. The service was attentive, but a bit inconsistent at times. While it may not have been an outstanding experience, it still offered a reasonable dining option for Japanese cuisine.
Tokyo Steak

Review for February 1st 2022. Happy lunar new year. Tokyo Steak is a Japanese style restaurant where they prepare and cook the food in front of your view. It is a good experience but it is better with a date, I was here alone?. But I was hungry and I wanted to come and experience this restaurant before they close. I got there just in time as I was driving back from Los Angeles. Nevertheless, it was delicious and the tuna sushi was especially tasty. Im not guilty, to say that I absolutely enjoy the show that Jerry put on for us. Thank you

First time here. Loved the idea of cooking or own meats. At first our server (a White lady) was very nice & friendly & we even asked for help on how to use chopsticks. I thought we would have a great experience. I was wrong. I was going to ask for salt & pepper to add flavor to our meats which were not preseosoned but I never got the chance....She, our server must have forgotten about us. She had said she brought small servings (& they were) to make sure we liked them... Then she would bring us more of what ever we liked...(its supposed to be all you can eat)... Again we never got the chance... she never came back. We sat there for over 15 minutes waiting with empty drinks & empty meat trays. I can point out our neighbor table was having a completely different experience. The Hispanic man serving them was treating them like royalty... plenty of meats & drinks refills & constant attention. He even changed out their center table grilling dome. I would say that server was great but he really wasnt. I could hear them speaking Spanish & since I also speak it, I could understand them. It was obvious they knew each other. I tried to get his attention once but he was too busy being extra friendly & catching up with them to notice or care about anyone else. I had lost my appetite & was now on the verge of being angry & just wanted to leave. There is no front register counter. I could have just walked out & no one would have noticed. I had to find someone to pay my bill. I flagged down a worker. He was an Asian (Korean?) young man. He said you usually pay your server. I told him I was frustrated & felt we had been abandoned & just wanted to pay my bill & leave. He took my payment but then lied to my face... saying he had been walking around in our area to see if anyone needed anything. He had never come near our table at all. Very disappointed. I should have walked out without paying but I just couldnt do that. Sadly I will never be back.

Caite was very rude and very unprofessional. I frequent this establishment quite a bit after work and have never had an issue until caite. I always order the same thing, even the other awesome cashiers have never had an issue placing my order. On the speaker, I told caite my order and requested EXTRA onions on the side. Well Caite, placed the order for the onions to be ON THE SIDE instead, no extra onions. Of course the chef is going to prepare the order however Caite feels like placing the order customers make. When my order was handed to me at the window, caite immediately closed the window and did not offer me any condiments. As soon as she saw I wasnt leaving from the window she sighed loud enough for me to hear and asked what I wanted. I told her Can I please get 4 soy sauce?, she did not reply and closed the window back up to get the condiments I guess. While she took her time to get the condiments, I checked my order for accuracy and noticed that I did not get the extra onions, instead they were on the side in a separate container. Normally, when i make this order as frequently as i do, i would get my bowl with the green onions it already has PLUS a container of green onions. That is what extra means, caite failed to understand my order i guess. As soon as she finally handed me the condiments I had asked for, she immediately closed the window again, not confirming if theres anything else the customer needed. As soon as she noticed I was still not going to move from the window, she ROLLED her eyes before opening the drive thru window and asks yes? In a very rude manner. I told her I did not get the extra green onions I had requested on the speaker. She rudely and confidently tells me you did get your extra green onions. I proceed to show her the bowl and how she placed the order for them to be put on the side instead. But instead of understanding her mistake, she slams her hand on the drive thru window and tells me so you want more then?. I told her No Caite, I want the onions that belong to the bowl, the extra is already in a side cup. She closes the window back up again without a response and walks away, almost like a pouty child would. When she opens the window again she practically almost throws the container with onions at my hand instead of handing it to me.I dont understand what her issue was, she had attitude the moment I approached the window. As I have mentioned before theres normally 2 other cashiers there in the morning that have taken my order and I have never had this problem. I frequent this establishment a lot after work in the mornings. And I can definitely understand mistakes or missing ingredients in an order, i work in a kitchen too. BUT i cannot understand people with attitude and unprofessionalism at their place of employment. Caite either needs to be retrained or rethink why shes in the food service and hospitality industry

I wish I could give it a Zero star. They have the worst customer service and do not honor their punch card. I went to get my free meal after completing my card only to be told, very rudely that the card was old and they wouldn't honor it. I asked to speak with a manager. The cook was very rude and hostile and told me that the manager was not in and then he proceeded to dismiss me. I told him that I wanted to speak with someone else and not him. He became very hostile and gave me “ the middle finger”! I went back a couple of days later to speak with the manager, I started with a middle aged Japanese woman, who then called an older Japanese man over. I started to tell him what happened and he just walked away! Literally walked away! The rude cook was there and lied about giving me the middle finger. I would advise anyone not to go there because there customer service is horrible from the owners to the cooks. If I had the cooks name I would post it, but of course he would not give it to me. They just lost a good customer and I am going to tell anyone who will listen to never eat here.
Love Ramen (Palmdale)

Review for October 7th 2021. Love ramen located in east Palmdale California 93552. Let me first start off by saying that I absolutely enjoyed my visit here. I like to say that I absolutely love unagi. I experienced excellent customer service and the waitress was excellent. Very polite and quick to serve. I really appreciate great customer service. Keep up the Great work. So, I ordered the unagi Don and it was delicious. This place tries to maintain the authenticity of a Japanese ramen restaurant. In that, they only serve ramen and no sushi is served here. I really do appreciate that because it allows them to focus on their specialty dish.
AV Sushi Rolls and More

First of all I cant believe we hadnt tried out this place. We love sushi & are always looking for places to try out.Apparently, they have been over 3 years now. I guess you can say its a hidden gem to say the least. When we first arrived, we were a bit skeptical because the restaurant was empty. We were quickly greeted & asked to have a seat. The restaurant was very quiet since we were the only couple dining in. As we looked over the menu, we noticed numerous people walk in for phone orders & delivery orders. After looking at the menu, we decided to try out the Refreshing roll, Mexican roll, Sexy roll & Salmon Collar. We were quickly impressed when our rolls came out. They looked amazing. We noticed they had light rice & plenty of protein. We were in love after having our first bite. With every bite, we loved it even more. After eating half of our sushi we decided to ask for a container to go because we were still waiting for the salmon collar. The salmon collar took long but it was well worth it. It was so delicious & full of flavor. The staff were friendly & attentive. The prices were also reasonable. We will definitely come back for more.

Went there today and will not be going back. This place used to be real good but its going down hill. We got home to eat and the chicken was dry, salty an tasted burnt. It was smothered in sauce which i think was to mask the burnt taste. We also asked for no dressing on the salads they both had extra dressing, the smell make me nauseous for some reason. The tempura was soggy especially the shrimp and onion. I give them 2 stars cuz at least they listened about no avocado on my roll. The wait time is also ridiculous up to 30 minutes even when not busy. Used to be a great place for Japanese food but i think ill stick to Harbor or Saku from now on!!!
