Yoshinoya Stanton
12505 Beach Blvd Ste B1, Stanton, CA 90680, United States
Highly disappointed. Theyre using a quarter amount of the chicken now I had one broccoli one carrot it has half the amount of rice that used to have they dont use jasmine rice anymore and it tasted old and dry I waited 50 minutes to order 30 minutes to get my food and I drove home and they gave me the wrong chicken they give me habanero not teriyaki. And the coleslaw is very small for the price theyre charging they might as well put in the container thats 1/4 of the size of the container that actually put it in. But stingy stingy stingy and all the employees were not happy no one was smiling theyre acting like slow robots and ask for extra onions and they said I had to wait another 10 or 15 minutes because Im using the pan were drying burnt so theyre adding these onions for the food and if somebody wants a side they had to remake it wheres the quality control the management skills for the staff on top of that they dont have any more carrot cake. And the cashier was going to have me my drink Im in a wheelchair and I noticed the cup was uneven but she looked at it and still handed to me and I know the lid will not fit. Management needs to clean house and fire everybody and hire a really productive crew whose 20 care about the corporation and the people who choose to eat there!!!

Place is emasculate, very clean, Japanese owner is very nice, the food is so delicious! Fresh, great flavor! The sauce is not overwhelming, was perfect! Large portions. Always drove by this place but the name wasn’t catchy. My husband wanted to try it out because he’s a firm believer that the best foods are the small hole in the wall restaurants. He was right on the money on this little gem. Glad we stopped. Will be back for more, that’s for sure!
Karai Hand Roll Bar X Ramen
12885 Beach Blvd unit 9, Stanton, CA 90680, United States
Best new spot at Rodeo 39!! I was ecstatic to see this new hand roll sushi bar when visiting with my friend the other day. We went around noon on a Sunday, and there was barely anyone else, so we were able to get seated at the wraparound sushi bar immediately. We ordered 3 rolls each, and I got the crab, toro, and Karai, while my friend ordered the salmon, tuna, and Karai. The hand rolls tasted incredible and were packed with flavor, and they were a good portion size for the price. There are also appetizers and ramen options on the menu if you want a variety! This place is my new favourite at Rodeo 39. It was a much needed addition in Orange County, and its wayyy better than its competitor, ROL Hand Bar, in terms of quality, price, and experience. Staff at Karai are very welcoming and attentive, and the environment is clean, bright, and comfortable. I cant wait to come back and hope others discover this gem too!
Joes Sushi 2

The sushi is ok not terrible nothing to brag about. The size is a bit small not tiny but kinda small. The owner (who is also the sushi cheff) seemed very curt to the point of rudness & i wasnt complaining i was just making conversion while he was standing there doing nothing. The strange thing is i saw him previously talking to other Japanese men & he was all smilles & laughter. Im pretty sure he is a hard core racist because many othet people have complained about this & they all share 1 thing. Guess what it is? Yep your right! They where not Japanese. Now the beef i ordered was terrible absolute trash i wouldnt feed it to my dog. There where 7 chunks of bone. About 30% sollid gristle& the 65% of meet was as tasty as a shoe & just as soft. This area has tons of japanese restaurants another 1 right in the same parking lot even calles sky sushi wich is always packed. I guess theres a reason this place is always dead.
Teriyaki wa Sushi

I have been here previously to enjoy their sashimi combo with fresh, generous slices of tuna and salmon. Their combination bento box is a meal that I highly recommend. Choose the number and type of entrées to suit your tastes. It is accompanied by salad and miso soup. I tried the appetizer of fried gyoza, six pieces with a dipping sauce. It is a nice accompaniment to the Udon noodle soup that followed. I ordered it with shrimp that was served on the side so that the tempura coating does not become soggy in the broth. This was another good meal. WA Teriyaki and Sushi is now my go-to spot after errands here in Stanton. Do try it if you are in the area. The sushi chef and servers are welcoming and friendly.
Tenori
12885 Beach Blvd #6, Stanton, CA 90680, United States
Food: 3/5Service and Setting: 3/5Value: 3/5I really wanted to like this more than I did, but maybe my expectations were too high. I love rice balls and expect them to be super packed with flavor and fillings. While the food was not bad, for the price, I hoped for better to be very honest. If you are looking for something that is a little easier to digest, Tenori is your place when navigating the food jungle that is Rodeo 39.Honey Walnut Prawn: 4/5This definitely was my favorite of all of the rice balls that I tried. There was a good amount of filling and it was definitely honey walnut prawn. The most pronounced flavor to me was the walnut. The crispy shrimp and nuts were a good contrast to the soft rice and savory furikake coating.Mentai: 4/5This was also very good and they packed a good amount of mentaiko into the rice ball. Mentaiko, or myeong-ran in Korean, is spicy fermented pollack roe and is extremely delicious. It is spicy, savory, rich, has a strong-ocean essence, and slightly bitter/fermented. If you are not a fan of seafood this is not for you, but if you do want to try something different, I would say that Tenori offers a very good mentaiko rice ball.Pork Belly: 2/5I really did not like this one, to be frank. The meat was very sweet and tasted strongly of soy sauce. The bonito flakes on the outside helped a bit but yeah still not a fan. I felt that the flavors were very underwhelming and the intense sweetness was off putting.Lychee Lemonade: 4/5Their lychee lemonade is pretty good and a lot better than a lot of places that I have had similar drinks at. Lemonade is always pretty sweet so I won't ding them there. The lychee flavor does not taste artificial and there is not that thick sort of syrup taste that you get when restaurants use a lychee syrup. I would not say that this drink matches their food, but it is refreshing nonetheless and I would pick one up even if I was not eating here.
Sky Sushi
7145 Katella Ave, Stanton, CA 90680, United States
One star might be a little harsh but this place is SOOOO overrated I have a hard time believing that its 4.6 was from entirely honest reviews. The menue is confused, missing common sushi options (like hand rolls) and loaded with lame inventive house rolls. The food is adequate to questionable...Atmosphere was dingy. ( I heard one person in the corner where I was not sitting requested they spray air freshener)The service was subpar at best and lacking effort and I had a very awkward encounter at the sushi bar with a off-duty employee who was clearly drunk with nothing intelligent to say...I guess one star might be slightly harsh but not unfare.

Kare Japanese Curry

A great curry spot located in Rodeo 39 Public Market that you don't want to miss out on! Their curry is quite flavorful and their portions are pretty generous. I like that they make the food fresh to order because when I got my order, it was all piping hot! This spot definitely stood out to me because of their pork belly protein option for their curry. I believe not many curry places offer pork belly as the protein. I know there are a lot of good food options in Rodeo, but honestly, even if I was full from trying other spots, I would still order their curry entrees to go because it's that good! They even give you extra chili powder if you want the sauce to be spicier. I hope one day they can offer a plate/bowl option that allows you to choose two different proteins.|| L O C A T I O N / P A R K I N G ||-Located inside of Rodeo 39 Public Market near Dot & Dough and Primal Cuts.-Parking lot can be quite chaotic and full on the weekends.|| F O O D ||Pork Belly Curry – My absolute favorite! At first I thought this would be a braised pork belly with curry, but I was super excited when I saw it was pan fried pork belly. I've never tasted a pork belly so crispy on the outside and wasn't overcooked! It was such a real treat! I definitely recommend the pork belly!Chicken Katsu Curry – You can't go wrong with the typical chicken katsu cutlet with curry! The chicken cutlet was crispy and juicy on the inside.Furikake Fries – Super crispy with a good amount of furikake seasoning. I liked how the seasoning was evenly applied to every piece of fry. Great for those that like both sweet and savory flavor simultaneously.

My wife and I came by, just as they were opening for the day. The music was pretty loud, but I appreciate the staff noticing our discomfort and turning it down. The atmosphere is interesting, reminding me more of a Japanese bar than a sushi restaurant. The decorum definitely fits with the Japanese bar vibe, with string diamonds. We ordered the Yuzu margarita, which was very flavorful. An excellent drink, combining refreshing citrus fruit Yuzu and the smoky flavor of mezcal. We ordered yellowtail and salmon sushi. The slices were pleasantly thick, giving a wonderful savory mouth feel.We asked for chicken hearts, but they had unfortunately ran out. We went for chicken thigh yakitori instead. We also had their scallops wrapped in bacon. Both were excellent and juicy. The highlight for both of us was their yellowtail collar. Pleasantly grilled with spices, and was better with the sprinkling of fresh lemon. The only downside is the price. But considering the quality of the fish and the location, I understand the pricing. Its a good place to take someone for a special occasion.
