I just returned from a two-week trip to Japan and ate at about 14 different Japanese restaurants there. In all of those restaurants, people spoke with one another in hushed voices, so that tabled customers could hear one another. After this experience in Japan, and now, yesterday at Ayame Sushi, I encourage Ayame Sushi to put in rugs, and sound dampeners on the ceiling and perhaps on the walls also. Then let me know you did this and I will eat at your restaurant again. P.S. the sushi was acceptable, on a scale of non-acceptable/acceptable/good/very good/great.

I try not to blast businesses but I cant sit quite.Tonight, I had dinner with a friend at this restaurant. We witnessed the restaraunt manager, Ken have a verbal altercation with an employee. The employee proceeded to walk off the job. Ken followed her, placed his hands on her, and locked her into the womens restroom. A customer questioned Ken regarding the manner, Ken replied, shut up, this is my restraunt I speak to my employees how I want. Several of the patrons spoke with the employee and are willing to help her get legal help. Employees tried to protect her and a few were also witnessed crying out of fear for her.After speaking to many employees this evening I have discovered they violate many labor laws. They do not receive required breaks or their lunch no matter how long they have worked. They do not receive overtime and are often denied time off even if sick. Minors are serving alcohol and some even consuming it while on the clock. They also do not follow work permit guidelines for Minors provided by schools. The employees I spoke with said they are afraid to speak out because they need the job. EXTREMELY ANNOYED by all of this. The food is good but this is the last time I will leave my money here and Im not staying quiet ?.

Im not sure if I hit them on a bad night or if I chose something they arent great at, but I tried to order the Mahi Mahi entree and they were out so I defaulted to the Steak with Japanese sauce and it was completely average with the vegetables having almost no flavor. My wife had the vegetable and shrimp tempura which were overcooked with too much oil and also had low flavor. I will try other Japanese restaurants in Vacaville before coming back here-color me unimpressed.

Koi has great food, this post isn't about that but more so on the service. I placed an online order for a later time pick up (after I got off work). When I walk in tell them my name for the order, the older gentleman who usually takes orders asked if I ordered through door dash, I told him no and showed him how I ordered (which was through their main site) he then shows me his screen and it says cancelled. Proceeded to tell me a woman came in saying someone used her card for an order saying it was my order (I don't even know how that is possible) so I pulled my card out and showed them that my last 4 numbers on the order match so that lady was wrong. They didn't have my order obviously. The man offered to make my food and I declined because how unprofessional was it of them to not verify her card number to my order before canceling. They never tried to call me about the situation or anything. I like their food but after today they officially lost a customer.

Great spot to get sushi and Japanese in Vacaville! The chicken curry and chicken karaage were excellent and steaming hot!Friendly staff and a cute small restaurant. Not many seats, but there is bar seating available. Service is quick and food is served fast and hot!Unfortunately ramen was not on the menu when I visited, though it was listed online.

The original flavor okashi was kinda overswettened. And OKASHI is a Japanese word meaning snacks, the restaurant simply use it as its name when theyre trying to sell poke and ice lol.

All in all this place started great. This review Im leaving though because I dont agree with what one of the people did that deliver the food to the table. We put our order in and this woman brought everything out, was all good then she randomly comes back with a second order of gyoza that I didnt order, but before I could stop her she quickly disappeared...we tried to wave down our waiter but he was to busy sitting other tables. I figured oh well, well let him know when he gets a moment to add it to the bill. Wife takes two of the gyoza off the plate and the lady that dropped the order came back and swiped the plate off the table without a word and proceeded to throw the food in the trash can....I can no longer justify giving this business my money with that kinda thought process...not my fault you made two orders but I worked in food buisness once and usually once that food is dropped on the table its gone lol and I intended on paying for it to boot just kinda killed our vibe so...but yeah after that I requested my bill paid and left didnt make a fuss out of it...just wont be going back hope everyone else has a better experience but this was mine lol sashimi is good, Nigiri good, rolls are okayish depending on which ones dont recommend the super rainbow, and rammen is okay ?

I was so excited to go to this place and I'm really glad I did! The food was really good. The staff was REALLY nice! I was very skeptical about the mochi donut as the texture of mochi isn't something I really care for. After asking a few questions the person working there asked me if I wanted to try some which was really kind! I'm glad they did because it sold me 100%The texture of the donut is a bit chewier and thicker than regular donuts. I had the Ube flavor and I would highly recommend! (It's mostly just sweet with not too strong of a particular flavor in my opinion.)Now the corn dog was interesting! It was what I had came in there for honestly. It definitely was really tasty but not quite what I expected. I got the combination dog which is beef and cheese mixed together, as well as a plain crust with sugar and ketchup on the side. I think what I was expecting was more of an alternation between meet and cheese. To where you'd be able to get a bite of meat and cheese in one go. It definitely was mostly cheese (or 2-3 bites of cheese, then 2 bites of meat, etc.) which wasn't bad just not what I was expecting! I coated the outside with a light amount of sugar, and then some ketchup and somehow everything paired so well together! If you thought sugar wouldn't be good with this combo. You'd be wrong! (Plus that's the traditional way, and if you're wondering, the sugar makes the crust kinda taste like a sugar donut or a funnel cake or something like that!) Overall this place is really good! I definitely would recommend trying it. I could see myself going back!
