Blazing King BBQ & HOTPOT
72600 Dinah Shore Dr, Palm Desert, CA 92211, United States
This is not Korean cuisine restaurant. Just copy Korean food and menu. Not good quality vegetable and choices. It was frustrating food choices. If you want to go genuine Korean food and quality, try other Korean restaurant with Korean owner. You will experience differences with food and environment.

Great menu and excellent service!! The food is a mix of Japanese and Korean and is authentic to both. I’m pleased that Palm Desert finally has a modern Asian restaurant with such a younger/energetic vibe. I would highly recommend Katsuyama, what a gem!
Eddie Vs Prime Seafood
73040 El Paseo, Palm Desert, CA 92260, United States
We went to Eddie V’s for the first time last night to celebrate my birthday. It was PHENOMENAL! Our server, Jose, was so knowledgeable and attentive. We had Lemon Drops to start. I consider myself to be an expert in Lemon Drop enjoyment, so that’s the first thing I always order as a first timer to a new restaurant. In fact, I once took off an entire year to search the USA for the best Lemon Drop and I don’t feel it was a year wasted! Eddie V’s (with Chopin vodka) was in the top 2 BEST that I’ve ever had! We had the hamachi sashimi, steak tartare and warm goat cheese salad to start and they were all excellent! I had the Chilean Sea Bass and it was melt-in-your-mouth spectacular! For sides we had Brussel Sprouts (Korean BBQ and peanuts) and the Crab Fried Rice, both exceptional! We had one minor issue with one of the entrees, but the manager, Gloria, was on it and made it right very quickly. She was also very present and attentive even before we needed her help. The other manager, Rudy, was personable and eager to make sure we had a fabulous evening! The desserts were all AMAZING and Gloria made me feel very special for my birthday! The service and attention to detail was extraordinary! I can’t wait to go back...
IW Coffee & Chai Bar
74868 Country Club Dr #101, Palm Desert, CA 92260, United States
I've come a handful of times. I think they significantly over charge. None of the chai choices are actually spicy. Most of the time the drink just ends up tasting like expensive milk. I don't want to pay $10 for an iced milk. I think you can purchase better chai at a store or order online. It's just not worth it. If it was less expensive, I could tolerate it a little more. But they really just are not good enough overall. It's really unacceptable. Chai is not a difficult drink and the quality ingredients are not scarce to obtain. Go to any Indian restaurant and they'll give you a cup of the best spiciest chai that you are looking for, for free! Go anywhere ethnic and you'll find that chai that you are seeking out with all that flavor and depth. It's cheap to free at any Indian restaurant. If I'm ordering a chai at this place, without making it dirty, I shouldn't be paying anymore than 4 to maybe 5 bucks at the very most for the large. And if I do add shots no more than 6-7 bucks for the large.Quality is completely down the toilet.
Hulas At Palm Desert
36901 Cook St, Palm Desert, CA 92211, United States
Overview: Dark Hawaiian Friendly Diner, Must do the Garlic Shrimp and Pineapple ice teaMeal/Time: Dinner, Friday at 30PMDecor/Atmosphere: hibiscus decorated tables; surfboards on the wall; really welcoming feeling. When I stepped inside, what hit me was the aroma of garlic, butter and shrimp.... mouth was drooling at that point.Tables are clean and there is plenty of space. The only negative is the lighting. Its a bit dark. There is a high ceiling, I think slightly higher watt bulbs would be good.Service/ Front of the House: really friendly... very homey. The front of the house was also the wait person.Service/Serving Staff: Our wait person was very helpful and made excellent suggestions. He checked back and topped off drinks frequently.Food: add garlic shrimp $2.75@ Really light batter; Good Size shrimp. NicePineapple ice tea ($3.00) is cool, refreshing and sweet. Its not just iced tea with a hint of Pineapple... its Pineapple with a hint of tea.Sandys Best ($22.00) you get fried rice, 3 chicken wings and almost a pound of tender bbq ribs. The pork ribs were juicy and tender... almost fall off the bone tender. The sauce was sweet, The chicken wings when hot were crispy and juicy. The sauce had a tiny bit of heat at the end. The fried rice is pretty good, they flavored the oil for the rice with onions so you can really taste it. The only negative I would have to say was that something, not sure which component as a tiny bit salty... I think it was the ribs, but I cannot be too sure.Value: I would say pretty good value. I was full... really full for about $30.Restroom: 2 unisex Restroom. I looked at both restrooms, they were both roomy and well lit. Trash cans were clean and the area around the sink was dry. Will I come back?: Just for the Garlic Shrimp itself!!!! A definite YES!
SAPPORO RAMEN & GRILL
73759 CA-111, Palm Desert, CA 92260, United States
Very poor quality ramen. We were 4, and all 4 main dishes were not that good. my seafood ramen did not taste fresh. The shrimps on there tasted horrible, the ones on the shrimp curry rice too (which did not tasted like curry rice in Japan). Altough the old woman who served us looked asian, she wasnt japanese at all (i heard her saying she was taiwanese to another customer) so I think thats why she did not understand some of our order. I wanted the Ramune and she served me iced tea. My friend wanted ramen with tonkatsu on it and the waitress understood tonkostu ramen but kept saying tonkastu which is not the same. Our drinks were served after we got our meals and we had to ask for it again. The plum sake was served in a champagne glass, did not understand why..The takoyaki were good tho.Overall review is that the place, which is cute, looks like an authentic japanese restaurant but it is definitely not. As I went several times in Japan, this restaurants food does not taste anything like authentic Japanese cuisine.
Sushi Bella
13440 Palm Dr, Desert Hot Springs, CA 92240, United States
Very unfortunate to have to write this one, as my gf and I love sushi Bella and eat here at least once a month if not weekly. Today, however, we ordered a Shogun Combo which per the menu online comes with 10 pc nigiri, 4pc spicy tuna and 6 pc crunch roll. When we got home, we saw the crunch roll was missing and called them to see whats up. The lady on the phone told us the menu had changed and they hadnt updated the menu yet. I inquired as to whether we could get the crunch roll anyway since we didnt know this, and she said no, after consulting with the manager.Theyre false advertising here and refusing to make things right when a customer calls them out. Very unfortunate that one of the few good places to get food in DHS is engaging in such shady practices. Make sure to double check your order if you get carryout here or, better yet, skip it altogether!
Ramen Musashi
44-491 Town Center Way STE G, Palm Desert, CA 92260, United States
Had the worst dining experience at Ramen Musashi in palm desert today. The manager came over to my table to yell at me about the edamame. I had originally ordered 4 bowls of ramen, edamame, gyoza and pork buns. The waitress brings over the food and the edamame is covered in oil and fried garlic and stuff . I told her I was sorry but my kids only eat edamame with salt and could they make it plain . She says yes and brings out a plain edamame and the kids devour it. I order another and remind her to make it plain . The manager brings out the edamame with everything on it. I tell him I specially asked for plain . He says I can't have it that way but the waitress comes over and says it was her fault. The manager comes back with edamame but it's covered in oil and looks like they used a towel to wipe off all the extras . The kids try it and don't like it. We finish dinner and the waitress asks if she can start clearing the table . I say sure and take the edamame also because my kids won't eat it since it didn't taste the same as the first . Not a minute later the manager says it's not right for them to make 4 edamame and I only want to pay for 1. I'm telling him I never asked for it to be taken off the bill . He's telling me then why would the waitress tell him that. I'm telling him that it didn't look the same and the kids said it didn't taste good . He's telling me it was made the same and he saw it made. So I ask why would my kids lie? It didn't look the same . He's telling me it's because the kids are full and I'm trying to not pay . I tell him again I never asked for it taken off and I tell him he's a liar and didn't see it made . So now we are yelling at each other. He's telling me not to call him a liar and I tell him then don't call my kids liars. He starts on again about how it's wrong to order 4 and only pay for one. He tells me it's wrong to come into a restaurant and make changes to a menu . I tell him their sushi restaurant serves it plain, but he says they are separate menus. I'm telling him then simply don't accept the order and we wouldn't have the problem. Just say they can't make plain edamame. I'm telling him it's rude and disrespectful to come over to my table and start yelling at me in front of my kids . . The edamame looked and tasted bad and I was planning on paying for it. Finally the waitress comes over and I asked her if I said I refused to pay for it. She said I never said that but assumed because we didn't eat it.STAY away from the restaurant. it was totally wrong to yell at me in front of my children and the rest of the patrons. he could of handled it much better and got the complete story from the waitress before confronting me at the table. the waitress was great but the owners arrogance and anger issues are too great to recommend this place
BaBaLoo Lounge
73833 CA-111, Palm Desert, CA 92260, United States
Good morning denizens of SoCal and those from other parts of our beautiful planet. My name is Dr. Mike, and my wife and I want to apprise you planet earth occupants that there is an astounding and highly commendable new dining opportunity for you in the desert. I and my wife, of 46 years who is also my hero, had a truly great dining experience just a few nights ago. She and I were out for the evening, in route to one of our usual watering holes and feeding grounds, and as we were driving past the particular establishment I am going to talk about, my wife came up with the, out of nowhere, God inspired thought, to tryout the restaurant we were passing... It is called BaBaLoo Lounge! They specialize in Cuban and Peruvian cuisines, and OMG what an incredible find this place was.The food, service, decor, and live music, made for a night my wife and I will never forget.I want to give a special shout out to the following individuals:Marilyn (General Manager)...Kind, classy lady.Allen (Server)... Sharp, polite young man.Hector (Server)... Hard worker, reminds me of my dad who also was a server, may he r.i.p.Joe (Bartender)... Effortlessly mixes glass after glass of nectar from the Gods.Brenden (Busser)...Excellent performer, quietly and meticulously attended to our needs. Reminded me of my younger self many many years ago when I was for a brief period also a busboy.Gabby (Hostess)... Oozes with personality.I want to give an extra special shout out to the following individuals:Chef Jonathan (Owner)... Prince of a man and wizard in the kitchen. I had their ribeye steak with shrimp (The El Malecon) and OMG it was to die (live) for. My wife had their Calamari, and as picky/wonderful as she is, she said it was the best she has ever had. He even gave us a complimentary slice of his gourmet cheesecake (see photo), and again our palates were responding like crack addicts :-).Elizabeth (Chef Jonathans mother) was there overseeing things and in the back, paying the endless deluge of bills they receive, and yet she took the time to personally come to our table and welcome us. Elizabeth, you are a classy lady. Thank you so much for making us feel so welcomed, and our compliments to you for raising such a great son.Patrick Evans, CBS Local 2 Chief Meteorologist and Host of Eye On The Desert, happened to be dining there that night, and as a true fan of his, he was gracious enough to allow me to interrupt his dinner and gave me his autograph (See his photo Attached). Thank you again Patrick for being so nice, and keep on bringing us this great cool weather we have been experiencing in the desert. My wife and I have been truly blessed in our lives, and we thank God hourly. We have dined in the best establishments across the country and beyond, so we have an evidenced based ability to compare, and these folks aint no joke period (I deeply apologize, sometimes I find it very difficult to suppress those kinds of movie theater acquired, straight outta compton utterances, especially when I am off my meds). They know how to really burn in the kitchen and make you feel right at home. We cant wait to bring our son, Jaleel White. He is a super foodie and we know he will flip.In closing.... Do yourselves a huge favor and come on down to the desert and experience the best in dining and ambience at BaBaLoosSincerely,Dr. Mike and Ms. Gail(Proud Father and Mother of the greatest son on the planet, Jaleel White aka Steve Urkel, and grandparents of the smartest, cutest, mostest granddaughter on the planet, Samaya White).
