Aria Korean Street Food
932 Larkin St, San Francisco, CA 94109, United States
Best Korean street food in San Francisco. There are many other restaurants with similar menu, but i think its the only one that is more close to authentic yummy Korean food.Wish them to make a Combo Menu with DDeok BBok Gi, KimBap and Fried Seaweed Rolls. Great owners and they are treating people with smiles. The place recently renewed their interior as well as the menu designs. It is very nice to see the clean menus and tables and bunch of other things, but I think they should let the window wide opened with clear glasses.

ZZAN Korean Restaurant
643 Post St, San Francisco, CA 94102, United States
Looking for a delicious and casual Korean BBQ experience in downtown San Francisco? Look no further than ZZAN Korean Restaurant! While the decor might not be fancy (the seating area could use a bit of an upgrade), the true star of the show here is the food. Their Bulgogi is some of the best Ive had recently, and the Chicken BBQ comes close behind. The service is another highlight - our meals arrived quickly, and the staff was friendly and attentive.Price-wise, ZZAN falls somewhere between a budget-friendly and a splurge-worthy meal. However, considering the quality of the food, the price tag becomes easy to swallow. One thing to note is that ZZAN doesnt have the traditional Korean BBQ grills at each table. This might be a dealbreaker for some, but for others, its a welcome change (no worrying about cooking your own food!).The only real downside was the restroom. The graffiti on the door, wet floor, and overflowing bin could definitely use some attention.Overall, ZZAN is a great option for a casual and delicious Korean BBQ experience in downtown San Francisco..

Surisan
505 Beach St, San Francisco, CA 94133, United States
It was a cool place for brunch right by fishermans wharf. Read a lot of reviews and posts on Instagram and felt it was worth a visit during my stay in San Francisco coming from Toronto. Menu offers a lot of korean fusion items. Came for the fishermans Benedict, moco Benedict, and millionaire bacon (as it is most well known for). The restaurant had a patio and the doors/windows were propped open, which made it fairly cold indoors so make sure to bring a sweater/coat. The portions were decent sized not overly stingy or generous but enough per person. Both Benedicts however were quite difficult to cut through as the English muffin was rock hard in the bottom (from being over toasted Im guessing). The fishermans benedict was pretty good the hollandaise sauce was nice but nothing overly unique/special, the crab in it was shredded and had bits of shell in it so be careful, potatoes on the side were crispy as well which was good. Was it worth $26 for it, in my opinion not really, was quite overpriced. The moco benedict was disappointing as it is advertised as wagyu patties but tasted like regular burger meat for $22. Ordered a side of millionaire bacon $10 for 2 strips, that was definitely the highlight and made the trip to surisan worthwhile, after being slightly disappointed from the Benedicts. The bacon was tender, smokey and sweet goodness. It tasted amazing I can only compare to the best jerky lile bacon Ive ever had. I regret not going for the flight of millionaire bacon as there were more flavors offered. The service and wait staff were nice and efficient, they check in often and refilled water/coffee frequently. Missed the mark on brunch but would definitely consider returning but for other menu items/millionaire bacon.

YakiniQ Korean BBQ
1640 Post St 2ND floor, San Francisco, CA 94115, United States
Korean bbq is one of my favorite things of all time. I have been to NY (jongro bbq), charlotte (lets meat), Atlanta (762 bbq and 9292 korean bbq), and many gyu kaku (its japanese i know). My point is, yakiniq has been average. I enjoyed the food. The quality and variety are not bad, but there are some things that left me wishing for more. I hope the owners reads this because i think there is room for improvement. San Francisco is one of the major cities and all the other places ive been have done a better job at k bbq in my opinion. What you guys did well:1) good miso marinate2)lots of variety3) maybe this is a bad thing for the people trying to eat every item on the menu but you guys give large portions of meats.4) fair prices, specially because this is an all you can eat restaurant.5) most items are fairly tastyWhat needs improvement? :1) only 2 sauces. You guys have one that is a spicy with a wasabi flavor (not bad). But the second sauce is just another extra spicy version of the first one. Where is the sesame oil with salt. Where is the Gochujang, or soybean paste, or a sweet and spicy. Only 2 sauces: one spicy and one extra spicy. This makes it really hard to eat non marinated meats.2) key side dishes missing. You guys have some good and tasty side dishes like potato salad, kimchi, the glass noodles, cabbage salad and others. But you dont have pickle radish, pickled onion, or a cucumber salad. In my opinion, having some pickled radish wrapped around some meat and kimchi would have made this much better. Lettuce leaves were too big and It took a very long time to refill the side dishes bur that is a minor problem.3) no oil or lemon for the grill. In many restaurants they oil the grill to prevent food from sticking and burning. And the lemon is to scrub the burned residue. This would have helped reduce how often we needed to change grills.4) our fan was not working. We were on the older side of the restaurant so i think our fan was just a bad one. Our neighbors had a good fan. Because of that and having to wait a long time for the waiter to come change the grill, we would find ourselves inhaling all the smoke. Not a lot of fun.5) music was little bit too loud.6) the place feels and looks old. The stair to the bathroom smells. Probably a renovation is needed but i understand it is a major project.7) the bulgogi marinate was really average. It wasnt salty or sweet.8) this is minor but Nothing we ordered had any garlic or green onions. These are typical korean aromatics and I think it would have added a extra layer of flavor to everything.I would probably given you a 3.5 out of 5 because of the need of a renovation, average ambiance, average bulgogi and the slow service; however, i think 4 out 5 is okay because of the price, the variety, the waiters are hard workers and most items were fairly tasty.Ultimately, this is an all you can eat korean bbq restaurant. Most ayce will skip on quality and focus on quantity. YakiniQ does some things well but it is not an exception to the ayce rule.if i had more sauces (at least the traditional kbbq sauces), lemon or oil to prevent food burning/sticking, 1 or 2 more side dishes, and fix the bulgogi, i think yall could be a 4.5 out of 5 or even a 5 out of 5 (if you over look the old building) when it comes to ayce korean bbq.

Brothers Restaurant
4128 Geary Blvd, San Francisco, CA 94118, United States
After a while (a week) of not having Korean BBQ (KBBQ) and vacationing in San Francisco, I went to Brothers with family and friends for a really enjoyable experience. We ordered chicken, beef, ribs, spicy squid, rice mix, omelette w/chives and seafood omelette and 2 Saporros just to sample what this place is really made of.If youre used to KBBQ where the waitress does the all the grilling and other preparations of foods for you, you may not experience that. What Ive never seen in a KBBQ place was the use of charcoal on the grill and unfortunately I overcook my own beef which was perhaps the most thinly cut Ive ever seen in a KBBQ. The Chicken on the other hand was perfectly moist even though burnt on the surface. The soups and spicy squid was not too spicy nor salty and omelette was on the bland side which was perfect with the use of sauces. The mixed rice on the other hand felt a little too moist in consistency but the red sauce was perfect for taste. Kimchee was generous with turnips, bean sprouts, dried seaweed, cucumbers, potato and to finish the meal off, they provided a really nice cold sweet rice soup. The bill totaling $190 for 8 people including alcohol is fairly inexpensive considering a similar KBBQ meal in Flushing, NY would have easily been the same price for 4-5 people. Much to our surprise, they threw in 2 clam tofu soups on the house. This place is usually packed and you may have to wait if you didnt make reservations and it is not a fancy looking place though certainly a busy place.

Muguboka Restaurant

I highly recommend this Korean restaurant. The food is home-made, the prices are reasonable, and the side dishes are especially delicious. Spicy pork and spicy squid are excellent and pancake is good, too. The best korean restaurant in San Francisco!!!

Zazang Korean Noodles
2340 Geary Blvd, San Francisco, CA 94115, United States
When I came to San Francisco, I tried several Korean restaurants in Japantown, but they were expensive and the taste was just average. However, I found an old Jjajang restaurant and went there. The taste was comparable to that of a Korean restaurant and the price was the cheapest. The boss’s personality is also excellent. They also gave us Chinese broccoli as a service, and it tasted like Korean mustard kimchi. When I think of San Francisco, I always think of it.

SSAL
2226 Polk St, San Francisco, CA 94109, United States
It was a high-end tasting course level of food at a friendly ambience and affordable price in SF. The attention to detail, freshness of each ingredient, and pleasant dining experience displayed a glimpse of the mastermind behind the new Korean restaurant, Ssal. The appetizer started with some Lotus Chips and Halibut Crudo. The Halibut Crudo was pleasantly surprising with a light citrus taste from kumquat and swiss chard. Perfectly balanced sweetness and citrus taste.Duck Liver Mousse also had a nice citrus taste with a Yuza glaze. Spring Onion Korean Pancake was very crispy and good, far from other soggy and mushy Korean pancakes that Ive had before. Definitely add the pickled onion on top of the pancakes. It will pleasantly lighten up the taste.Pork collar and beef short ribs were sooooooo good. It melted in mouth with a nice amount of fat to coat the mouth with rich flavors. Also, they came with a choice of freshly picked greens from local farmers. In summary, Ssal will bring Korean dining experience to another level in San Francisco. The modern twist of Korean food still paid homage to traditional Korean dining culture.

My my.TITLE: THE FALL OF A GREAT RESTAURANT...Well, there goes 1 of the best. Sent friends of mine visiting from Finland to the restaurant my international friends and family and Co workers have been going to for about 20 years now. The food was NOT great to them. But when they brought my order back. I understood why?1. The order was wrong 2 items out of 4.2. I personally spoke to the server on the phone. Her English was bed but she repeated my order back to me. So she was just repeating what I said. Seriously???3. My food has never in 20 years been that poorly prepared. It was awful, except 1 of the FLAVORS. I ordered beef it was chicken.4. I remember when there was an old Chinese lady who remembered everything from 4 years before. She quit but she was good.. good times. Not like this girl who literally cannot speak English and gave me the wrong orders...Thats just me venting not a number.Ok. Now4. 2 of the orders were 1/2 orders. They were not full orders but amaller portions. But charged full price. That really passes me off!5. When I called to speak to the manager, the lady answered, then said in really really bad English. No manager here! I asked if I could speak to someone who spoke a little better english.... SHE SAID: NO!THEN SHE HUNG UP ON ME!!!MY MY. HAS ALL OF SAN FRANCISCO JUST COMPLETELY FALLEN???THERE LITERALLY IS NO REASON TO GO BACK TO SAN FRAN FOR ME...THIS IS A SAD DAY. AND THIS RESTAURANT THE LAST THING I LIKED IN THAT KAKA CITY. GOOD BYE AND GOOD RIDDANCE!!!
