Maroo Korean BBQ & Catering
2515 N Tracy Blvd, Tracy, CA 95376, United States
Originally located in the heart of downtown Tracy for a short period of time, relocated to its current location sometime in February 2018.The original location was much smaller with parking at a premium. The new location is larger with ample spaces for parking and in my opinion, better exposure. The restaurant is clean and their menu offers a variety of specialty dishes to include pictures of what you will be ordering. On this visit, we ordered several dishes to include, Spicy Pork bugogi, Chicken bugogi, and a Salmon dish. All three dishes came sizzling on a hot plate to the table and prepared just right. Both the chicken and spicy pork dishes came on a bed of chopped onions, which complimented the overall flavor of each dish. All the main dishes included rice and six different picked condiments, which complimented the overall dining experience. The only downside was in the beverage service.I asked for hot tea, which was lukewarm at best. When I asked for a pot of tea they said they didnt have one. It wasnt until my third cup of tea was it actually hot. Unfortunately it came at the end of our meal.I ordered another helping of rice and never received it, which was frustrating. I understood they were busy but its the little things that count. With that said, the price of the entire meal was very affordable and a steady stream of customers eager for a table.Overall this restaurant impressed me in the way in the preparation of authentic Korean cuisine.

My family made reservations for my 75th birthday at Texas Roadhouse. Even with reservations we were going to have to wait at least an hour and could not be guaranteed 13 of us sitting in same area.So we canceled our reservation then drove around the shopping center and saw a Korean restaurant. It was a quiet and clean place and were pleasantly greeted right away. Since we like Korean food we asked if they could accommodate 13 people. They said the could and within a few minutes they had tables moved to accommodate all of us .The food was wonderful and so tasty especially their chicken meals and various sauces. I had the Galbi bento box because I love Galbi and Japchae.Usually well go to Korean Restaurant and cook our meals at our table. Not having to cook was refreshing as it gave us more time to interact and bounce around to be able to get up and talk to each other. The people who waited on us continued to treat us well and kept our food and drinks coming despite their restaurant starting to get very busy.My family and I would recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for great Korean food and service. My family now has a great place to meet for occasions. Meeting in Tracy for our family is great as the drive from San Jose and Sacramento is an even drive for our families.By the way sorry for this long post. I was impressed with all they provided and couldnt stop raving about this restaurant.

The Upper Room Kitchen
130 W 11th St B, Tracy, CA 95376, United States
We finally tried the Upper Room today for lunch to see what the hype is all about.I want to start with saying just because its the best clean eating, real food place in Tracy, does not mean its amazing or the best food ever. That would be like saying, its ok, for Tracy. If its good, its gotta be good anywhere.I have mixed feelings about the Upper Room. I truly see what the owners are going for BUT its not quite there yet. They need a little more attention to detail in the interior design, servers and kitchen to make it great. When you walk in, its a bit awkward with the set up. Theres no one greeting you so youre not quite sure where to go.The interior needs a bit of work. A little more elbow grease maybe, or different lighting. It doesnt feel new, if you know what I mean.We ordered fairly quickly which was awesome. Our food took a bit of time, but for fresh, clean food, it can take time. Totally fine. But when we got our food, it was wrong. I ordered chicken with salsa verde with brussel sprouts and carrots. My husband ordered steak with chimichurri and mixed vegetables. My chicken got the chimichurri and his steak got the salsa verde, which wasnt even green, it was red. So we had to ask. We agreed to keep the dishes the way they were because it would have taken too much time to have them switch. And upon my first bite of chicken, it was cold. Not room temperature but cold. And my carrots and brussel sprouts were burnt. I dont mind a little char on my veggies but these were burnt. At the end of it all, I decided not to return my dish, again, but it wasnt worth my time.My husbands steak was delicious as were his veggies - which werent burned at all.Everything did need some salt and pepper though.I dont know how long this place has been open but if these types of dishes are their schtick, then they need to get them right to be successful.I will absolutely give them another chance and hope I can give them a better review, too!
THECOMMONS
49 W 10th St, Tracy, CA 95376, United States
My bestie had never been in to The Commons so we decided to have dinner there. The menu has changed since the last time I was here so I was really excited to try something new. We ordered the Uncommon Potato, Burrata, and the chicken tacos. The potato came out first and it was delicious! Its a baked potato with a spicy chipotle sauce. The burrata came with grilled bread and a yummy salsa verde. I think we were conservative with the cheese so we had to order more grilled bread for $1 more. I thought the tacos were good. I think theyre more of an Asian fusion. The chicken itself was flavorful, and went well with the hot sauce that was in the taco. The dish came with three tacos. We ordered the only desert on the menu which was grilled bread with a chocolate spread and a marshmallow cream. I dont even like marshmallows but I loved it in the dessert! And it wasnt heavy and overly sweet. I thought it was a unique dish. The staff were really friendly, especially the hostess who helped me out with my crutches. I think The Commons has got their groove and I look forward to dining here in the future.
Kengo Sushi
2523 N Tracy Blvd, Tracy, CA 95376, United States
I was surprised to see that it was completely empty on a rainy Saturday night in Tracy… so I decided to give Kengo Sushi a try after seeing it packed the last time I saw it. Upon walking in, I immediately sensed that it was going to be a good experience forsure. If you’re looking to get decent Japanese food in Tracy… this is one of them. Here’s how my experience went thus far:Food: 4/5Me and my partner got the 4pc shrimp tempura… which happened to be $8. Not bad considering it was inflation, honestly, and the batter of the tempura was very crispy. I found, however, that it contained a little too less shrimp. The very aromatic tea really made up for the thick batter though… that’s for sure.We also got the Simba Roll and King Kong Roll… both of which were our favorites. They were so good to the point I had to take them home to leave them as leftovers LOL.Ramen wise, we got the Korean Spicy Ramen and the Shoyu Ramen. I was a bit disappointed considering I wanted actual ramen noodles from scratch, but instant noodles were just as good — hehe. They included a lot of veggies and toppings alongside pork for my shoyu, which definitely helped with my culinary palette. The spicy ramen’s level was just right.Service: 5/5The waitresses were very friendly upon arrival, and kept on checking on us throughout our meal…. and they gave us quite good recommendations.Atmosphere: 4/5I was quite fascinated to find that the entrance to the bathroom was identical to going to a cabana or a party. I like the overall design of the restaurant, but it seemed a little bit too dark, and I felt a little squeezed. In addition, I also felt like there could’ve been more variety, in terms of drinks, and in terms of rolls. Not trying to be critical, but if there was room for improvement, I would’ve spaced the tables around a little bit bit more.Overall, I had a really good experience, and I can’t wait to come here again with my friends.
McDonalds
3430 N Tracy Blvd, Tracy, CA 95376, United States
Today 5/31/2022 at 3:07 pm I visit this McDonalds with kids. I took my kids for lunch after a long time after COVID been left. When I ordered my food, I asked specific food, and the person who took my order said she got everything right. Then I asked her since there is no soda machine where can I do refill if need to? The lady said you come ask at countertop and we do refill. When my food came, it was placed in the bag like trash, fries were old brown and hard, my sandwich were not correct either, worse non of the employees were looking at me while I was standing by countertop. They were laughing with each, some were talking in cell, the person who took my, I was told that she is a manager, and I asked to talk to her, a guy came to the counter and I the manager what you want? I asked him that I refill for my small soda drink, he refused, then he turned around gone and came back and due to we do not do refill for drinks. I told what I was told but he ignored and said, NO refill. I asked him to give the customer service number for complain but he refused, he was refusing providing employees name too. Then he walked away and everyone else didnt even bother as I was excuse me, excuse me, no were listening except laughing. Service was poor, employees were un professional, no one care, they were just laughing, and talking. I have even called and left a message in the number that was listed in my recite for comment. So this a poor, poor, poor employees, poor service. I thought after COVID, customer service would be the first priority for fast food business but didnt know that they would hire judgment were poor too.i hope that cooperate office call me. I dont want anyone else get treated bad like me at this McDonalds.
Wingstop
1988 W 11th St, Tracy, CA 95376, United States
On Monday 12-4 I placed an online order to be picked up at 230 pm. 6 wings and fries. Easy and simple. Arrived on time and the food was not ready, spoke to the young lady working the cash Register and she said another 10 minutes. Food was ready at 2:57pm. After taking my food with me as I was pressed for time and had to be somewhere at a specific time I started eating my food. The food was horrible. Cold, not cooked to perfection and just a complete waste as I couldnt eat it.How can something be 30mins late and cold and under and over cooked. It doesnt make sense. I said to myself atleast my food will be fresh and hot!!!!! Not the case here!!!!!I threw the food away. I understand the adversity that comes with food services, however someone is going to get sick and possibly sue. If we spend money we deserve good food. This is my second time experiencing something like this. I didnt complain the first time as I felt every restaurant has good and bad days. I will never eat here againEither switch out the cooks and management entirely!!!!!!!! Nobody has a sense of care or urgency either. No wonder you guys have 3-Stars on your Goggle Reviews.Just Terrible!!!!!!
