Korean Kitchen Tofu & Galbi
509 Telegraph Canyon Rd, Chula Vista, CA 91910, United States
I’ve been to a handful of Korean restaurants on Convoy and none have really satisfied my deep craving for delicious, nostalgic, and authentic 한식 (Hanshik — Korean food). Can’t believe this random restaurant in Chula Vista finally satisfied this craving! The galbi, tofu soup, kimchi pajun (pancake) were to-die-for. Even my Jewish boyfriend who only really started eating Korean food since he met me was melting over the food at Korean Kitchen.Ignore the reviews that complain about bad service. Tbh, growing up going to the most authentic and scrumptious Korean restaurants in Koreatown in LA, we always got terrible service. Maybe it’s just the hallmark and indicator of excellent Korean food ?. Highly recommend this restaurant!
Spoon House Korean Cuisine and Cocktails

Wow. Never would have I thought I’d find great Korean food in Chula Vista. We were warmly greeted and welcomed by Nick, who was so friendly. He told us we could sit wherever we wanted. The inside of the restaurant is spacious and clean. There’s a pool table and tv playing music. My dad would’ve appreciated the 80’s hits being played. There’s also a full bar.We ordered our food through a QR code. Our selections were; bulgogi fries (my favorite), Ramen with bulgogi and an egg, and chicken bibimbap bowl for my husband. The bulgogi on the French fries were marinated soooo good. I loved the flavor. The sauce topped on it was fire too. The fries were cooked to crisp perfection. At first, I thought the ramen was ok. It came out piping how and was steaming until the end of our dinner. But I took it home for leftovers and it was a great decision. The bulgogi was tender and the flavors aren’t too salty. The bibimbap bowl was a great choice for my husband. He cleaned that bowl up.Whenever we’re craving Korean food again, we’ll come to Spoon House :)

The service and the side dishes are better than the competing Korean restaurants in the area. However, Im more of a meat guy and I find the meat not as flavorful as other restaurants.

This was a very pleasant experience, someone recommended me this place last week and I wanted to take the time to go check it our.I was very happy and surprised that the customer service was awesome, the the food was incredibly tasty and the time I had to wait wasnt a lot. They dont serve alcohol at all. They have a very basic menu,Beef, Chicken or Tofu (extra firm). With the Chicken they offer brown meat or white meat (they do charge a little bit more for the white meat), Then you can choose from: Small Bowl, Medium Bowl or large bowl. The best deal is on the medium size and the price for me was ok. They offer White or Brown rice, veggies and /or Salad -You can choose to have all rice or half and half. Also on your meat you can choose half and half meat /tofu or chicken. They have HOT, hot and their secret sauce (recommend that one) Their chicken has such a good flame grilled taste that just to think about it my mouth is watering. They sell you Soda and ice tea (raspberry and peach)Also the regular sodas. This was a great experience, the place was really clean, again the service was fast and they are so nice. For a fast bite with your family or if you are in the run the you should be good.I will be coming back again.

Normally I like this place. The meat is decent and the wait usually its too bad. But today was the worst its ever been. Normally Im in and out in five mins or less. But today it took 30 min from the time I walked in the door to when I left. I shouldve realised something was up when there was a long line at 11:40. From what I can tell its all because of one guy that didnt know what he was doing. Or just really baked. I watched the woman in front of me order 1 reg bowl half n half and the guy made 3 bowls... wasnt even listening.Thank God the other guy helped me. Went fast too. But after I paid and asked for magic sauce (which ran out on the self serve table) the clueless guy asked me if those extra bowls were mine..Dude just made those for no one two mins ago and didnt know who they even belonged too. Crazy.

Gaja Korean BBQ

Wow! My wife and I had a great dining experience for our anniversary at the new Gaja Korean BBQ restaurant in Oceanside. We were new to Korean BBQ dining and our server Vianey was great, helping us newbies with the iPad order system, suggestions, and use of grill. You order from iPad attached at each table and the food is brought to you on a server robot. Sounds impersonal but the servers are right there to help. The meat and many dishes were very high quality. I plan to return many times with my family.
Mochi by Okashi Fusion
1661 E Monte Vista Ave P - 102, Vacaville, CA 95688, United States
I was so excited to go to this place and I'm really glad I did! The food was really good. The staff was REALLY nice! I was very skeptical about the mochi donut as the texture of mochi isn't something I really care for. After asking a few questions the person working there asked me if I wanted to try some which was really kind! I'm glad they did because it sold me 100%The texture of the donut is a bit chewier and thicker than regular donuts. I had the Ube flavor and I would highly recommend! (It's mostly just sweet with not too strong of a particular flavor in my opinion.)Now the corn dog was interesting! It was what I had came in there for honestly. It definitely was really tasty but not quite what I expected. I got the combination dog which is beef and cheese mixed together, as well as a plain crust with sugar and ketchup on the side. I think what I was expecting was more of an alternation between meet and cheese. To where you'd be able to get a bite of meat and cheese in one go. It definitely was mostly cheese (or 2-3 bites of cheese, then 2 bites of meat, etc.) which wasn't bad just not what I was expecting! I coated the outside with a light amount of sugar, and then some ketchup and somehow everything paired so well together! If you thought sugar wouldn't be good with this combo. You'd be wrong! (Plus that's the traditional way, and if you're wondering, the sugar makes the crust kinda taste like a sugar donut or a funnel cake or something like that!) Overall this place is really good! I definitely would recommend trying it. I could see myself going back!
Manna BBQ
724 Otay Lakes Rd, Chula Vista, CA 91910, United States
Food: Manna BBQ has really nice Korean food really yummy and also fun to cook. Some foods there I dont like but dont hate I mean I think everyone has that feeling but other than that food is really good. The sides on the table when you first enter are also really really good!Service: Service here is absolutely amazing theyre really nice, funny, and really helping to customers. The staff is what I like most about this restaurant everything about it is really sweet!Atmosphere: When you first enter Manna BBQ the floors are really slippery which also means they have been cleaned really well and properly! The atmosphere is cleaner than some other restaurant atmospheres.
