Location:Okay, Parking: Okay, Service: Okay, Does Company try to charge for tip before services are rendered: yes. Should you tip before you receive services: no, Overall: First time try and last time try as well. There were some very uncomfortable issues from my companys dish that I was not happy, yet she did not want to return her meal back to the counter. Bits of other material were in her food, and according to her older meat, it was added to her dish. She did show me what she was talking about, and I was not happy. My meal seemed okay but after seeing hers I no longer feel comfortable getting another meal there. I hope in the future they make sure that all pans are cleared before they start a new meal. Or I hope this is not a retaliation for not adding a tip that should not have been asked at the initial start of a service... 1 star....

Amazon Reptile Center

I bought an African spurred tortoise on the 18th of january 2018 for my sons birthday. I asked the reptile employees how to care and take care of my new tortoise. Sold me rabbit pellets for the tortoises substrate (bedding), bought basking light and uv light. They said to just feed my tortoise Romane lettus and sprinkle calcium powder they sold me on EVERYTIME I feed him. On the way home I noticed a small ripple in his shell (at time didnt know what to look for or realize that crack was a bad thing). Get home, get enclosure set up. Next day my tortoise kept rubbing his eyes a lot, I took him back to reptile shop to get eyes looked at and lady said they were perfectly fine, I also ask her if I need a night time heat lamp and ahe said no JUST TURN OFF ALL THE LIGHTS. I go home and start posting pictures of my new tortoise. After talking to tortoise keepers and breeders....all the care instructions the reptile shop told me was WRONG. Not supposed to use rabbit food for bedding, way too dry and it molds and it also is very dusty. 2nd, I AM supposed to have a night heat lamp for my tortoise which I had to go buy after the fact. 3rd, tortoises are supposed to eat more than just Romane lettus and calcium is not given every single time they eat, you can over do it on calcium doing that. And last but not least the ripple/crack in the shell is not supposed to be there and no I have to have the stress and worry to fix the shell. Everything the reptile told me on how to care for my new tortoise was soooooo wrong and I have had nothing but stress since the day I got him because of the wrong care instructions. I really hope they stop giving wrong care advice and instructions because my tortoise could have technically gotten very sick and probably would have died. Thanks to people who actually know what their talking about my tortoise is still alive.

Alright lets talk about this hole in the wall Ramen Spot. So, the fam and I walk through the Mont Clair Plaza. Afterwards, we are craving soup before headed home. The original idea was either Pho or Ramen. As we take Central Northbound driving slowly peering at the shops and restaurants in and near the east plaza from the Target, we notice a Grand Opening sign for a Ramen spot. The door wide open but no customer or guest inside.I hop out of the car and ask if they are still open. The two Chefs at the front along with Waitress both look over and say yes we are open til 930p. I invite the family to come down. We had the whole place to ourselves! The ambiance is very unique with several anime crossovers as their main background. Im a big fan of Anime especially Naruto and Dragon Ball which happen to be their main background design. There are several tables and the place looks like it can hold 35-60 folks. The place was very clean. You can tell theyve barely been open for several months. I asked the waitress how long exactly and she stated theychave been operating for two months. The service is very friendly. They definitely care about their customer. They asked if we would want to eat in or take our food togo. My wife and I wanted to be considerate knowing it was already passed 9p so we decided to take our order out!The test was going to be how good their food was and how good is it togo? We take it home everything was wrapped very well and prepared very well. We chose 3 ramen soups: Seafood, Naruto Chashew, and Beef Ramen. We also tried some sides with the Calamari and the Tempura Roll. The broth of the ramen was very good. Deliciously made and very authentic. All three bowls were flavorful and great tasting! The Calamari was also delicious. Lightly fried with delicious crunch to every bite. It was not gamey at all and it was a great pairing to the Ramen. The Tempura Roll was decent. No complaints regarding the taste or qulaity of food wise. This is a very decent place to have a wonderful meal!Overall 4.8/5
Paradise Buffet
9059 Central Ave, Montclair, CA 91763, United States
I eat here WAY too much....and drive from Walnut/West Covina area to do so. Almost everything they have is good to great with a reasonable price tag, so its no surprise that its almost always busy.If youre new to the area its a full buffet with a full Mongolian BBQ in the middle. I say full buffet cause its not just Asian food but has cheese enchiladas, meatloaf, etc. What gets me back is the Mongolian BBQ, the ribs on weeknights and prime rib on the weekends. They offer various additional seafood options at dinner as well but thats not my thing. I think most Mongolian BBQs are similar but Ive got two tricks to make my dish stand out. For one, I go to the salad bar and add jalapeños, and since most of the watery sauce burns off when cooking, I go and get some of the ponzu sauce for the potstickers and put that on AFTER. That makes this Mongolian BBQ a notch above the rest. I cant remember if I reviewed Paradise Buffet before but my biggest pet peve is that they slide the dishes around on the big fry wheel (whatever the heck its called) and your stuff is cooked right where someone elses was. I hate curry, and if someone put curry in theres before you thatll ruin my dinner. I REALLY wish they kept everyones food in their own spot when cooking like Fire and Ice does down in Anaheim. I was gonna give this review 5 stars, but now that I think about it Im gonna knock it down one for that. They recently changed their weekday pork ribs from an American style sauce to a more Asian style sweet and sour which Im really liking a lot. Its a unique sauce thats way better than sweet and sour ribs youd get at a Chinese restaurant. And usually their ribs are thick and meaty, although my last trip they let me down on the quality a bit. Id say half to 3/4 of the time they get really good ribs that have almost an inch thick amount of meat per rib. Even if the amount of meat is sub par on occasion I never feel like Im losing out.I like their Chinese chicken and Greek salads too. Im happy they have blue cheese dressing for a mixed green salad but it needs to be thicker and with more chunks, or I wish they had separate blue cheese crumbles like at Golden Corral. They also have a really big dessert island. The cinnamon rolls are pretty good when theyre fresh. Some old dude complained once about the soft serve ice cream machine but I like it. I like soft serve thats more icy than creamy if that makes any sense, he was probably the other way around. They also have hand scooped ice-cream so you cant go wrong. All in all this place is great. If youre new to the area I would say its a must see. If they addressed the things I mentioned above and/or added some spicy tuna or crunchy rolls I probably wouldnt eat anywhere else!P. S. A shout out to Veronica, shes a total sweetheart who will chat and offer to grab you dessert and such. Most servers there are pleasant if quiet. She stands out and you better tip her if you get her.

RUDE UNPROFESSIONAL Service/ Letter B on WINDOWAfter yelping Green tea ice cream near me, called in order for 2 Green Tea Ice Creams. Went to pick up order walked back to car to discover whipcream, cherries, and CHOCOLATE SAUCE??? all over my ice cream. Who puts chocolate sauce on Green Tea Ice Cream? I sat in car tried to unsuccessfully scoop off toppings and eat around chocolate but was disgusted.Walked back to door 3min later to ask for 5.00 back and return the icecream, to which the gentlemen waiter, politely offered to remake. At that point I already felt sick and disgusted still tasting the mixture of chocolate and tea in my mouth i politely requested a refund, declining remake of ice-cream.They declined my refund. Moments later a young hispanic waitress comes over to rudely reiterate that I cant get my 5.0 back due to the owner Emily not being in for another 2 hrs. I asked the young waitress if Ice cream Toppings are listed on the menu? She opened menu to search only to discover that NO, toppings are not listed on top of desserts.Me still wondering how this is my fault that they would assume someone wants 3 diff toppings drizzled over their ice cream, calmly explained that this is my first time experiencing their restaurant so I am not aware of their toppings they place on desserts without notifying the customer, hispanic teenage girl began over talking me loudly and continuing to claim that She can make me another, but thats all, to which I responded mam, I am not upset, please stop overtalking me I would rather a refund instead of more ice cream she continued over talking.I calmly old her i was fine to come back to speak to emily the owner in 2 hrs for the $5.0 refund, but the young waitress hostile and loud continued over talking me unaware that she had gotten what she wanted and kept shouting at me for my name and number for a follow up.I had to continuously tell her that I am not upset at her. But im unsure she heard me w/ her overtalking and continued to explain she felt like i was taking it out on her for the company policy. To which I, for a 4th time stated I am not mad at her for the company policy and that I understood and would come back, I asked her for her name and she gave it with rolled eyes and additional rude remarks, as I penned her name down on my receipt, the polite gentleman server from earlier reached beyond the rude teenage female server and handed me my $5.0.Which I calmly thanked him told him.I again was not upset w any of them, and that I appreciated him.Through this whole unneccessary HORRIBLE treatment of service another customer stood in line spectating. SAD.Such a shame that employees would behave so rudely, Especially in front of other customers.I should have found a new location when I pulled up to find a Letter B stuck on Their Restaurant Window.Sad.

Update 6/23/22Tonight we stopped in for dinner and everything was ok until the check came. Our server (see the pic for name) brought our check on a digital device, but would not let go of it. I asked her about how I leave a tip and she told me it was included. I asked is that the way they do it now, they figure the tip? She said yes. The only options on the screen were “print or email the receipt.” I couldn't even see the total because I was on the far side of the table. So I pushed print receipt to see what I paid. We did some math and saw that the tip added was 22%. I thought that was kind of strange that a business would assume a 22% tip when the average is 20%. It was only about $3 more, but it felt shady. On my way out I asked the manager about it and she said there are options to choose your tip amount, but I explained to her that I was never given those options. She looked at the servers name and apologized. She said she could redo the transaction, but I told her not to bother. I explained how the situation felt uncomfortable and that I think I am just done with the uncertainty of our experiences every time we come and that we would just go elsewhere from now on. It may sound petty to some, but the dishonesty of this waitress really bothered us.Update 4/3022My whole family loves Lazy Dog. Great fusion menu and the Huckleberry IPA is amazing. We ordered the Huckleberry Apple Pie for dessert and it is my new favorite. The patio space is great for those who want to social distance as well.Update 3/9/22Sadly, something has gone really wrong for this restaurant. My wife and I went last Sunday night and had an experience so bad it was comedic. My wife ordered the pot pie and the waiter tells her they may be out and asked what her second choice might be. She said the broccoli and ham Mac n cheese would be fine. I ordered the fish tacos. 30 minutes later the waiter comes back and informs me that they are out of the fish for the tacos and wanted me to pick something else. At this point my wife asks if she is getting the pot pie or not. He informs her that there is no pot pie. I asked my wife if maybe we should just go, but she assured me the Mac n cheese would be fine. So I ordered the salmon. The waiter returns and tells me they are out of salmon too. I say I will just have my drink then and skip ordering dinner. He literally walks 5 feet from me and turns around to tell me that they do, in fact have the salmon. I ask him what is going on, how could he suddenly know this? A few minutes later the manager comes out and says our dinner would be free. I assured him that we did not need free food, still he insisted. The waiter also gave us a gift card, but I am not sure if I will be back, because when our food came, it was made with weird substitutions. My wife's Mac and cheese was made with fettuccine noodles and sliced broccoli stems. The veggies with my salmon also had broccoli stems. (See pics)We are very sad because this was our favorite place.

I love this mall! My favorite place in the food court is Noodle world. My two favorite things to eat there are: pho’ and chicken fried rice! My taste buds are liking simple comfort food! I like to shop at: Starbucks /See’s Candies ./ Hot Topic/JC Penny’s/The lunch box, there’s more. But, I cannot remember the names of all the stores. Anyway, I have fun buying gifts for friends and family at this mall. (I also buy nice stuff for myself here.) I love to go Christmas ? shopping here, as well.

While I did not go inside od any particular place I did pull my RV in to just rest up & to stop driving around aimlessly(8.5 mpg ?). HUGE area that is on the furthest reaches of the mall...out of the way to say the least tends to attract security. But Im always ready to meet them with a friendly hello & to assure them that although I could, I am not overnighting or preparing to overnight in their parking lot. But a friend of mine who lived close by was in the area and when he showed up and parked and was making his way to my RV they pulled up to question his intensions ?. Now he does not drive an RV nor does he own an RV so needless to say, he does not appreciate their curiosity AT ALL! They were not confused about his disdain to the current situation either! Thats when I emerged from my RV. Whats the seen: black guy in a black leather jacket walking up to an RV & two parking lot mall cops playing...fill in the blank! Situation was quickly diffused thanks to my sudden emergence but this is how bad things happen to good people. FYI

Where to begin, I had high hopes for this place and I might return just for the one item, which I actually found very savory! I went ahead and ordered their two item combo, seemed logical I would need to try two choices of meat to be just and fair, right? Okay, I hate to say this but the fried rice is hardly fried, there’s no bite to the rice, there is a massive lacking of flavor if you ask me, and unfortunately it’s just mushy rice, definitely not for me.The noodles I wanted to love and I liked them but also hated them, they have bite which I love, but they tasted of fish sauce or cheap oil, they where incredibly oily, like I had “lip gloss” vibes after one bite, so no for me on the noodles sadly.Let’s talk about the orange chicken shall we?! WHAT chicken?!?! It was mostly clumps of breaded dough smothered in orange syrup, there was no tanginess, just syrup, although it was crispy, that was a hard no for me. Would some actual chicken make it better??? I don’t know, I just think they’re cutting corners and think that people are too dumb to realize that there is hardly chicken in that “orange chicken”, lol. People are so into the sweetness we don’t even notice there is no actual chicken, but to each their own, I prefer some noticeable protein in my orange chicken, sorry I’m passionate, lol. ??♀️Now I’ve saved the best for last, and I have to say I was surprised! I had the bbq pork, like you can’t mess that up, and to my surprise I was quite pleased with the flavoring! It was fresh and tender, my only problem was how cheap the cut was, she cut a whole 4oz of it and about 40% of it was chewy fat, like ugh.So in conclusion, this is fast Chinese food friends, it’s not about quality, but about quantity, what do we expect? Anyway, this is my honest review, no hate, I personally miss the old donut shop that use to be here, but if sweet, fatty, overcooked and $12 average price food is what you’re going for, then eat your heart out, I personally can’t bring myself to do it again, maybe the pork, maybe! Lol best to you Mr. You! It’s fairly clean and the customer service is great! And they have diet option drinks, so I give you 3 stars ??♀️
Johns Incredible Pizza - Montclair
5280 Arrow Hwy, Montclair, CA 91763, United States
It was my daughters 5th birthday. She wanted to eat pizza, have ice cream, and play games at home. So, we decided to take her to this place. It was much better than sitting on a sofa all day.The price of entry is very reasonable. The play/tap card for the arcade games is also reasonably priced. It was our first time here, and the staff was quick to help us at the kiosk to get set up. One staff member even gave my daughter a big happy birthday sticker. I dont think birthdays get anything special here, but it would be nice to get extra credits or a free ride. Still, everything is reasonably priced. It is buffet-style. They have the following stations: Salad, Pasta, Pizza, and Dessert. Most of us were there for the pizza. They have many different varieties, which is nice. They even have chicken nuggets at the Pasta station. Interestingly, I did not see any french fries, but they do have big potatoes that you can stuff with all sorts of goodies. They offer many drink options as well, from water to soda and even ICEE. There is also coffee, of course. To my surprise, they even offer alcoholic beverages. The food stations are kept very clean, which is a must and nice to see. However, the dining rooms/halls are okay at best. I dont blame the staff 100%. The customers are also to blame. One does not offer tips like at a traditional buffet. Customers can sit anywhere they please. There are counters where customers can drop off their empty plates, but most dont. Since the staff arent being tipped, I assume there are fewer of them wandering the dining halls to pick up or clean tables. The restaurant should really put up a sign and ask the customers to clean up after themselves or drop off empty plates. Now off to the fun side of the place: the Arcade. There are lots of great games to play. Each game costs about 2 to 6 credits, with most being around 3 credits per game. It is targeted at young kids, so most games are fairly easy and give out tickets to trade for prizes. However, there are a few games that are broken and ate our credits. Be careful. They have 3 big rides as well, a small bowling alley, and a mini-golf place. Lots of fun activities. Our $35 lasted us about 2 hours, which is a great value. Afterward, we went back to the food side, ate some more pizza, and enjoyed the dessert.Overall, it is a great, fun place with good pizza and activities for the whole family. It is definitely nice to be indoors during the hot summer months in California.
