Pick Up Stix Fresh Asian Flavors
7041 Yorktown Ave #106, Huntington Beach, CA 92648, United States
It has been years since I went to Pick Up Stix. Several times I had a craving for Pick Up Stix but something got in the way. I got through with a little job. It was hard work but a nice paycheck. (well, for me) It also happened that I needed to stay in HB until evening because I have to pick up a laptop from a friend to DJ an event at Crunch Fitness tomorrow. (long story) My very first thought was: I have a little extra cash and have to stay in HB: I am going to Pick Up Stix! It is nice to report that it still tastes EXACTLY as it did years ago! My favorite meal here is now kind of a secret. I did not see it on the menu but when I asked, the very attentive staff member told me what it was called. She told me it was the House Chowmein or The House Rice. Depending on your poison, (mine is noodles) this dish includes shrimp, beef and chicken. I also ordered a medium Won Ton Soup abd a large drink. The prices havent, suprisingly, increased as much as they have at most fast food places. Granted, prices were a little more than most fast food, of course, even before Covid, but the quality of the food balanced out the higher price. I had expected prices to be even higher now but they werent. Another thing I have noticed is that both the portions and the quality of the food has suffered in most fast food places. The only difference I saw here in the portion was the side crunchy noodles. Not a big deal. Otherwise portions AND qualith were exactly as I remembered them. In addition, the unsweetened ice tea was excellent. (the best is at Panera but portions are small and prices high) Tea is a very big factor for me because I rarely drink sodas. This tea was perfect and refreshing. (not like the horrid tea I had at Burger King which, though a picture was shown of iced tea on the soda dispenser was actually made behind the counter and handed to me with NO ice! It also tasted awful, too bitter) Finally, the place was clean and, as a DJ I appreciated the music mix. It is rare that a place plays a song I do not not know, as well as some of the hits. The mix flowed despite the many genres represented. Good Pandora station or programming. All in all, I was extremely grateful for my delicious and relaxing reunion with Pick Up Stix!

We had the privilege of dining at an extraordinary Indian Tibetan restaurant today! Our server, Michael, provided exceptional service. The lunchtime ambiance was unusually serene, allowing us to enjoy a breathtaking view of the ocean while we indulged in our meal. What sets this restaurant apart and makes it truly special is its location overlooking the harbor, surrounded by a picturesque setting. Upon entering, we were captivated by the immaculate cleanliness and the enchanting decor, which transported us to Nepal with its vibrant prayer flags and authentic decorations. To enhance the dining experience, they have an incredible video monitoring system that offers a virtual tour of Tibet. The service is impeccable, leaving no detail overlooked. They take the time to inquire about your preferences, ensuring your food is prepared exactly how you desire, including the level of spiciness. The staff goes above and beyond by providing detailed explanations of the ingredients in each dish. We had the pleasure of dining with a vegan friend, and we were delighted to discover that the restaurant offers an extensive selection of vegan options to cater to her special dietary needs. We had the opportunity to sample various appetizers and main dishes, including seafood in curry sauce and tandoori chicken. We also savored different soups, and I can confidently say that each dish surpassed the previous one in terms of flavor and presentation. You will undoubtedly be impressed and satisfied with the culinary delights this restaurant has to offer. Furthermore, the pricing is reasonable, and the food arrives promptly, piping hot, and bursting with deliciousness. Without a doubt, this Indian Tibetan restaurant has earned the title of our favorite dining establishment.
LSXO
21016 CA-1 D200, Huntington Beach, CA 92648, United States
It is no exaggeration when I say this is now my favorite restaurant. The whole ambiance of LSXO is a cozy intimate vibe with unobstructed views of the ocean. A perfect spot to fully enjoy sunset with an old school hip hop soundtrack. Now on to the best part, the food! Not a single morsel passed my lips that was not utter perfection. For drinks we has The Butterfly Effect and Hattori Hanzo. Both perfectly made. For appetizers we ordered Steak Tartare and dumplings. The dumplings were so delicious I forgot to take a picture until we were nearly done. The beef tartare was a complete surprise to me. I really was not expecting to like it given the texture but the flavor was so good I couldn't resist.(Not pictured) We ordered the Lamb Satay which was just incredible. The noodles and lamb had what I consider a sweet curry sauce. We had to force ourselves to stop eating it and leave room for the steak. Now the 40oz Tamahawk steak is one imposing piece of meat. This was literally the reason we came to LSXO. Pictures do not do this steak justice. Please note it takes about 45 minutes to prepare so do not wait to put in your order. I guarantee you it is worth it! Every inch of this steak is tender and delicious. The menu says it feeds 2-3 people, but depending on how many appetizers or sides you order, it could feed a couple more.We finished off with the Tiramisu, an iced Vietnamese Coffee and a cappuccino. The Tiramisu was hands down the best I have had anywhere. It was so perfectly silky and not overly sweet/rich.Top all this off with a kind attentive staff and this is now my favorite restaurant.
Juicy Dumpling Factory
United States, California, Huntington Beach, Warner Ave, 邮政编码: 92647
You guys, I almost want to gatekeep this spot because its too good to be true. If youre craving xiao long baos without the crazy wait times, RUN, dont walk to Juicy Dumpling Factory.Theyre serving up authentic Chinese dishes like spicy pork wontons and soup dumplings. Theirs has a little bit of a doughier skin, which I personally like more. The staff recommended the stir-fried chili chicken which is so perfectly numbing spicy, but the chicken could be juicier and batter could be better though. My favorite had to be the beef rolls, the meat from that is just succulent and JUICY. Perfect outside wrap (not too salty or oily). Thanks for reading! ^-^
Aburi Japanese Kitchen

I want to start off by saying that this is my go-to spot for ramen in Huntington Beach. Ive come here many times and have always left satisfied. Theyre lunch special (11-3pm) is pretty amazing at $12.99 for an appetizer, bowl of ramen, and a roll (+$3 for a premium roll). The quality of the ramen is pretty great and you can now choose the spicy level and danger was perfect for me. It was the first time in my life I didnt have to add anything spicy to my ramen. I knocked off a star because this last visit we had 2 significant mistakes in our order, one of our appetizers came out incorrect (gyoza instead of edamame) and a wrong roll (salmon crunch roll instead of the Lion King roll). This didnt stop us from eating and we didnt send the wrong roll back instead decided to not bother the staff and eat it which was still delicious. It was just disappointing when you come expecting great service and you order 2 lunch specials (6 items total) and 2 were way off. I wouldve been more lenient if the place was slammed but there were only 3-4 groups in the restaurant. This still wont deter me from coming here, the lunch special is too good to refuse and the location to so convenient for me
California Pizza Kitchen at Huntington Beach
7851 Edinger Ave, Huntington Beach, CA 92647, United States
What has happened to CPK? Our server Noah was the best thing about the place. The wild mushroom pizza was boring the crust was lacking in much memorable flavor. Toppings were mild and we added shrimp because they got rid of the shrimp garlic scampi pizza. Overall pizza was 5/10. The shrimp scampi zucchini ribbon pizza was lacking any flavor in the sauce even though things were in the pasta. It tasted like mac and cheese without the cheese. Can't believe how bad this pasta dish was despite asking for extra garlic. It feels like this chain is in it for the stockholder profits at this point. Nobody from management eats here regularly to see how the food is. I asked for the manage and he was a temporary manager who listened and seemed to care but I know he's isn't going to do anything to improve the quality. It feels like they have cheapened the ingredients and made the preparation so simple that anyone can make a pizza so they don't pay them well to make a delicious pizza. Super disappointed and only 3 stars because of our server otherwise would be 1 star. Avoid CPK unless you like boring chain food that is getting less flavorful by the year. Sorry to say this about CPK used to love gong here. The manager took the shrimp scampi dish off our bill because we only had a few bites but wow someone from management with tastebuds should secret shop this location and try the food made by different cook staff. Maybe we got unlucky because we asked to extra garlic or staff just screwed up but it's likely the ingredients and the prep that have been minimized so profits for shareholders can be maximized. Olive garden was a little bit better only because of the salad and breadsticks. Even CPK bread is just super weak.
Thai Wave

I am really sad to write this review, my family have been a customers here for years. The customer service tonight was ATROCIOUS. It was a simple curry order, and we simply ordered it with no spice. When my husband came home with the curry as soon as I looked at it I could tell how spicy it was. When we opened it we could smell how spicy it was, and then we tried it. HOLY FIRE. Like inedible! We called to let them know that the we had received the incorrect curry, and just wanted a credit towards the next one. No biggie. Well sadly the woman on the phone refused to believe it was spicy and demanded I drive the curry to her so she could try it herself. I explained we didn't want a refund, just credit to the next one. We were feeding our little ones and couldn't leave the house. NOPE YOU NEED TO DRIVE IT DOWN RIGHT NOW. I could barely tell between her screaming and the women in the background screaming. At that point I told her her attitude was so unfortunate and that we would no longer be returning to her restaurant. To this she responded “I don't care it's not spicy” LOL I'm even laughing at this as I'm writing bc it's so ridiculous, but to me I cannot understand such rude and poor customer service. So one star bc I had too. The food was inedible and the customer service was insanely awful. Will NOT be returning
The Cheesecake Factory
7871 Edinger Ave, Huntington Beach, CA 92647, United States
I think I've frequented this Cheesecake Factory location the most. It's right by where I live so it's very convenient! That and their food is the best - both my son and my husband love their food.I've never had any issues with this location. I've always been seated right away despite them being located within an outdoor mall. The service has always been pretty good as well. I've never had to wait long to place an order or to request anything from the waiters. My absolute favorite menu item is the Spicy Chicken Chipotle Pasta. I've actually tried looking up a copycat recipe of it but there's just so many steps, it's easier to just go to the Cheesecake Factory and order it. My husband and I are huge fans of their Crispy fried cheese as well. My husband loves anything with loads of cheese in it and there's plenty of it in their fried cheese! Cheesecake Factory is also one of my sons favorite restaurants also, he loves their mac and cheese. And in all honesty, it does look pretty good when he orders it. Very cheesy! Different than the regular Kraft mac and cheese that most restaurants serve. For desserts I usually get the White chocolate raspberry cheesecake. But honestly anything from their TWO pages worth of cheesecakes have been pretty good from what I've tried. When it comes to drinks if you're looking for something non-alcoholic I'd highly suggest their strawberry lemonade. It's very sweet with just the right amount of sour. For alcoholic beverages I really like the Georgia Peach. I could sit there all day drinking those! Very peachy and I love any drink that's fruity. They also bring fresh bread to the table. I personally love the brown bread, I could eat that all day. Another thing to mention is their portions are pretty large. It's usually enough to feed two.Its easy to get lost in their menu since it's like 20 pages long but I haven't really had anything from their menu that disappointed me. It's just that the pasta is my all time favorite so that's what I usually go for.5 stars for delicious food and quick service!
Perrys Pizza
15941 Edwards St, Huntington Beach, CA 92647, United States
I had been through the drive thru once before, getting the slice, soup and a drink. I was so excited to have a drive thru pizza joint so close to my pad. Last week I came in with my 15 yr old daughter, and we ordered the medium cheese, with thin crust. I am NOT exaggerating when I tell you this could hands down be the best pizza Ive ever had. So far my top 3 pizza joints are as follows and in no particular orders ..1 ALS New York pizza in the Newport/ Mesa area( AL is the the bombdiggitty and so are his employees!! 2. Central Station pizza up in South Lake Tahoe( their all you can eat pepperoncini's with ranch is the cat's meow) and now for Perry's pizza, it's right down the street from our house, super chill, had the best patio to stuff your face and feel that ocean breeze and gently drift off into a lovely food coma. Keep it up my fav pizza places. You are the reason I keep going... just kidding ... kinda
