Inchins Bamboo Garden
55 River Oaks Pl #70, San Jose, CA 95134, United States
We had a horrible experience at this River Oaks Pl location today. We checked the corporate website for the hours and saw that Happy Hour was until 7pm, so we were planning on getting to the restaurant between 6:30pm-6:45pm. We got there before 6:30pm and ordered a few dishes. Then we wanted to order one more item just after 6:30pm and we were told Happy Hour is over. When first ordering, the waitress didnt tell us that Happy Hour was about to end in whatever minutes. When we alerted the staff to the company website Happy Hour time, the staff told us that Google shows Happy Hour is through 6:30pm. Shouldnt the company website be accurate or at least honored? Then we asked to speak with a manager, and we were told the manager is off. Then the staff said a manager is on the way. We sat around and waited an additional 15 or so minutes before finally paying and asking again to speak with a manager. We were told to wait more because the manager was on the way. We dont understand why and how a restaurant is operating without a supervisor or manager on site? The staff said they dont have the authority to discount 25% on one dish - maybe $3-4 in total. The price didnt even matter by the end. The fact that no one took accountability, there were no apologies and no one present with any authority...it was a ridiculous experience.

I ordered Medium Combo from here via UberEats due to SIP with Covid-19. It shows that “Comes with a side of pickled daikon radish.” and just “Add a side (for extra cash)” like the screenshot. So I didn't choose side and I expected my menu would come with pickled radish. But I got only chicken and no side. When I called them, I talked with the manager finally, she said that it comes with a pickled daikon radish OR a coleslaw and I had to choose. What??? So I told her that it seems that description on UberEats wrong. She didn't understand what I was saying so I said I will leave a review about this on review sites and then she said she will let them modify the description.Until the end of the call, I didn't get any apologies and any discounts for missing item. They just told me that leave a comment from next time. When you think common sense, you will serve any side menu if customer didn't choose a side, isn't it? And if there was a mistake by yourself, you will discount at least for the missing item, right?I had no worthy to talk with anymore and hang up the phone.I strongly not recommend using delivery from this restaurant. They don't care customers at all.

Been to other locations and very much enjoyed the wings. Brought my wife here for the first time to have her try out this type of wing. What was supposed to be a nice quick run for some wings turned out to be a 1.5 hour ordeal.- The restaurant was not very full, but staff continually moved around rushing like they were overwhelmed. Props for the work effort?- It took us ~ 10-15 minutes to be seated- We placed an order and water about 10 minutes after being seated- Water was finally brought about 25 min after order being placed- tableware was finally brought about 15 min after the water- Asked about food a few times, especially after observing several other tables being given their food who had arrived after us- Finally brought our food an hour after ordering. They had clearly forgotten our order and rushed it out. They neglected to bring any sides.- Staff was very friendly, but clearly unorganized and no one was checking on us, we had to flag people down several times- despite all of the above, no effort to apologize or provide any credit/comp- hopefully there is never a fire and the front entrance blocked, or you will burn alive. The rear emergency exit was completely blocked (see picture).Dont plan to return.

Service was not good. One server for the night and he was very unexperienced. He was serving unopened beer because he couldnt find a bottle opener. The customer was so mad. Customer offered to open the bottle himself with a spoon server said Ill just give you a draft beer? customer said NO I want the bottle! And had to open it with a spoon himself.??Other customers couldnt eat there food because there was no silverware ?on the tables. My experience will be unforgettableThe food was okay until I found a big bug? on my plate!!!!I was so grossed out? I couldnt run fast enough out of that place. The only good thing is that my partner and I didnt have to pay for the food .For the rest of the night my stomach was not doing well. I was really gross out!? ? ??Bonchon McKee you wont see me again.
Bonchon Santa Teresa
7026 Santa Teresa Blvd Suite 30, San Jose, CA 95139, United States
My wife and I stopped there today for lunch after a quick trip to the DMV.We entered the restaurant around 2:30 pm. We were the only customers there at the time. After being seated, the cashier served us, and took our order. The food took 20 minutes to come out, which felt long considering there werent other customers. We were not even offered water. The cashier/server girl only gave us water after we asked, 5 minutes after we received our food.Heres the thing. I would be more understanding and forgiving if the restaurant was packed and busy. But it wasnt. The cashier/server girl only stood behind the counter. Her customer service skills were minimal at best, maybe shes new so she needs more training. But it feels like common sense to offer the customer water at the very least, and being more proactive about making sure the order comes out on time.If this is the standard of service at this establishment, Im not sure if Id be willing to come back. The quality and speed of service at the DMV was higher and faster respectively than this place.

MoonBeans Coffee

Came because of the good reviews, left... confused. Had an iced latte ($3+, small) and a Will Turner breakfast sandwich (without eggs, $5+). Dining partner had a soy latte ($5+, large) and a Joe Montana breakfast sandwich ($5+). The breakfast sandwiches are good but so very tiny, not worth the price... not very satisfying. Also the avocado is more like a guacamole than sliced avocados which wasnt bad, but for the price I was thinking itd be fresh sliced. As for the coffee, the ice coffee with regular whole milk and no sweeteners was extremely milky and sweet (from the milk???). It was much more like milk with a smidge of coffee than coffee with milk, ratio was definitely odd. It was not pleasant to drink. The soy milk they use is also incredibly sweet and had the same issue with huge ratio of cream to coffee. Got the Ethiopian Sidamo (1lb for $16) for home pour-over coffee and that was okay, nothing special. The employees were nice and informative so that was a plus. The set-up of the cafe makes it a little difficult to look at the menu without seeming like youre in line, or getting past people who are looking at the menu. There is an okay pastry selection including donuts which are very average, a few gluten/wheat-free options which was nice to see. There was a neighborhood-type atmosphere so it feels like people like this place maybe for the vibe or social connection, but the actual coffee, food, and prices for the portions of the food... I wasnt amazed by.Sadly it didnt live up to the reviews, a very average place.
Dolce Sicilia Cafe
1165 Lincoln Ave #110, San Jose, CA 95125, United States
This is my first time in San Jose. By chance, I ate at Dolce Sicilia. I have worked at Filomenas inbWashington DC. I have also worked for Dante Vanilli at his restaurant in Detroit. I have also worked as comie forRoberto Donna at Galileo. Your lasagna was excellent. Tomato heaven, the sauce was reduced for hours Im sure. My own sauce takes 5 hours. I can let it go for 7. The lemincello marscapne cake ruined chocolate cake for me. Once my favorite, it is no more. Vanquished by lemony deliciousness. Your pastry cream was light and delicate. Not too much sugar, but the perfect amount of sweetness to allow the lemon to come through naturally. You used fresh squeezed lemons, because lemon concentrate is strong and tart. That would have surely ruined it. The cake was light and fluffy. I am so interested in the flour you used. I am just as interested in the cake pans. Which metal did you use? Definitely not the aluminum. I like stainless steel for cakes and brioche.Bravo! Great job. Its not often I get to choose 5 stars. It feels really good when I do. Eating your cake was a great experience.Reg Brookins
Got2go Pizza
1761 W San Carlos St, San Jose, CA 95128, United States
Update 1/13/16 I recently called in an order with a special request - half with cheese, half without. When I arrived, theyd substituted the word cheese with sauce and the whole pizza had cheese. Not to worry, though! They made a replacement pizza lickety-split and gave me extra pineapple and a discount to make up for the error. Super friendly service, too. The man behind the counter chatted with me like we were old friends, even though Id never been inside the storefront.=============Solid pizza experience. I called in a delivery order & though they said it would be within 45 minutes, it seemed like less than 30. And usually when youre hungry it seems like the delivery takes forever! The person who answered the phone seemed friendly and eager to please. Though Im not sure that my pizza was on special, it was certainly affordable enough that it didnt matter.
Big Fish Chinese Cafe
1659 Branham Ln I, San Jose, CA 95118, United States
Our family just ordered from Big Fish for the first time, spending about $74. I drove down to the restaurant to pick-up our order, paid, and then drove back home. At home, we discovered that they didnt include the lemon sauce for the lemon chicken (to which we had to drive all the way back to the restaurant for, causing our food to get cold). We had to throw out the chicken salad because it had way too much salad dressing on it, it was basically like lettuce soup. Why cant they just put the dressing on the side so we can choose how much dressing we want? And on top of that, we didnt receive the hot mustard for the salad, no soy sauce packets, and no fortune cookies - something that all other Chinese restaurants provide to customers. Bottom-line, our food got cold, missing lemon sauce, inedible chicken salad, no mustard, and no soy sauce packets or fortune cookies. However, I must say, the staff were very friendly and polite, and except for the salad, the rest of the food we ate was pretty good, after we reheated it. I understand that some mistakes were made on this particular order, and I also know that it was not intentional. Most likely we will give them another try.
Anton SV Ptisserie
1969 O'Toole Way, San Jose, CA 95131, United States
To my shock and absolute disgust, I found a cockroach inside the cake box! This is a stark revelation of poor hygiene standards and sheer negligence of health parameters that any establishment dealing with food should uphold. In the world of baking or any culinary business, cleanliness and food safety are two non-negotiable elements. My experience with Anton SV Patisserie shows a flagrant disregard for both. It is not only nauseating but also a serious health risk.Despite the possibility that the cake might have tasted good, the idea of a cockroach crawling around it undoubtedly had severe ramifications on my appetite. I could neither taste the cake nor offer it to my family. The incident not only ruined my special day but also left me feeling repulsed and concerned about the food hygiene standards at this patisserie. What transpired was hardly what I expected from a reputed joint like Anton SV Patisserie. My complaint to the management has been filed and I am awaiting their response to this appalling incident. I hope they take appropriate actions to rectify their health standards and redeem their lost reputation. While I understand that accidents may happen, finding a cockroach inside a cake box is far beyond an acceptable mishap. To me, this indicates a potential systemic issue, hinting at a lack of regular and thorough health check-ups.On behalf of all customers who have trusted in your service, I urgently request Anton SV Patisserie to address this problem. Meanwhile, I advise potential customers to consider this incident before placing an order. In conclusion, the entire ordeal was deeply distressing and a major turn-off. My appetite, excitement, and trust in Anton SV Patisserie have met with sheer disappointment. This experience has been enough for me never to risk ordering from them again.DISCLAIMER:This review is a theoretical exercise intended solely for purposes of raising awareness about food safety and hygiene standards within the culinary industry.
