What a delightful experience! I specifically loved how everything was served warm, like the cookie and the bread. I ordered the mushroom veggie sandwich that was tasty and warm, broccoli cheddar soup, and a caramel toffee cookie. That may be the best cookie I have ever had in my life. I will for sure be coming back here regularly and plan on picking up cookies whenever I am driving by. They are THAT good! The restaurant was clean and also had outdoor seating. We sat outside because we had a dog with us. It was very nice and they brought our food to us. Lovely nice employees as well.

To be honest, I hadnt expected that it was such a great restaurant before actually dining here. It was way above my expectation.I ate sashimi lunch, which was $22, excluding tax. Miso soup which was served first immediately movedme. The rice was excellent, which is equivalent to top quality one that I ate in Japan. There were about 12 pieces of sashimi, which were superb. The clerks were very generous and friendly.Overall, its 100 out of 5 lol$22, which is 3300 yen, seemed expensive to me first. Its not actually. I could accept it even if this were at the same price in Japan! Considering how expensive everything is around here, its such a great deal.
Trader Joes

Today I went to traders Joe in Aliso viejo, CA branch at senior hours.while I was waiting for the cashier and her assistant to bag my purchases, the young man who was baggingSaid to his colleague that his girlfriend dad is covid 19 positive and he had to go get the test but the result is going to be ready in a week or so.He said that he is so worried about the test result. I was shocked, did not know what to do just leave the store or wait pay and get my grocery that this gentleman touched and bagged.I was hoping that if someone is at risk and go get tested because of being in contact with a covid patient needs to stay home and quarantine for 14 days. But with my surprise here this young man was bagging the seniors grocery. The bad news is that the sanitizng wipes are not available in stores to buy anymore, to clean the grocery and some young people do not care about elderly or the community.I wished traders Joe ask these kind of employees that were in contact with covid 19Patients stay home until their test result come back. It is a pity that the result of the test takes one to two weeks to show if a person is positive.Because by that time lots of people are already at risk of getting covid19.Just keeping my fingers crossed that I do not get sick because this young man decided to work until he gets the result of his test.I Just washed my grocery with soap and water and dried them. Now I am checking my temperature every morning for the next 7 days at least. This is one example of how this deadly disease spreads among people. We do not get it seriously.
Urban Plates

We ordered a bowl of chicken tortilla soup, a side of the new harissa lime cauliflower, and the double cheeseburger with fries. Robert took our order and was very helpful and friendly. We grabbed our number and took a seat and were getting even more hungry and a little food envy seeing other orders come out. It was a busy time at dinner and it took maybe 5-10 minutes for our food to come out.The chicken tortilla soup had great flavor, a little spiciness, and large tender pieces of chicken. The bread was grilled and oiled and was nice to dip in the soup. The harissa like cauliflower is new on the menu and had a great kick to it. I'd definitely get this again if it sticks around on the menu. The double cheeseburger had seasoned patties, the condiments were fresh and it was juicy. The fries were cooked nicely and well seasoned.Overall a great meal and we are satisfied. Definitely will return.
Sattva Indian
26705 Aliso Creek Rd C, Aliso Viejo, CA 92656, United States
Delicious, delicious, delicious food cooked fresh, with heart and expertise. It is like a home cooked meal at some of my Indian friends homes who are deeply passionate about cooking great food. Except my friends do not have the clay oven that produces large one foot long Nan breads that are hot, fluffy, and aromatic as it is served. The potato and peas lightly flavored with ginger Samosas are so creamy, I thought they had heavy cream and butter, but no, just achieved by ricing potatoes while still piping hot, not with dairy or oils! They are soooooo good. We tried several lamb, chicken, and egg curries, all delicious. Our family and friends all had each found a new favorite. I have visited many expensive fancy Indian restaurants and small inexpensive strip malls restaurant as well in LA and SoCal and its my favorite for the food! It will be my weekly visits here for dinner that is the meal I am looking forward to each week the most!

Tacos De Birria Estilo Guadalajara
22912 Pacific Park Dr B, Aliso Viejo, CA 92656, United States
I probably had a one-off experience...I think this restaurant will do well overall. It has great potential, of which I didnt get to experience during my first visit, and I understand that challenges are expected when opening new restaurants. The good part: Food was fairly good and the staff was warm and friendly. The opportunities for growth: Service and food portion. Ordered dine-in upon arrival and served within reasonable amount of time. We then created a follow-up order and that request took over 40 minutes. There may have been a good reason for the delay, but I observed the manager chatting with repeat customers which probably gave me the wrong impression. In terms of food, the burrito had maybe 15% meat, and the rest was rice. The tacos were tasty but very greasy.I left the restaurant feeling disappointed, maybe because I expected more since Im from a region in Mexico that specializes in birria, and I was hoping to enjoy this place and refer customers. Although Im not able to encourage a visit during their grand opening period, I have a sense they will do well.
Koya Sushi - Aliso Viejo
27792 Aliso Creek Rd # B130, Aliso Viejo, CA 92656, United States
I came here today for my birthday with my friend and had their sushi for the first time. I personally loved the sushi and the server was very fast to take our orders. I was surprised that the miso soup was not on the menu, which is what I usually have with sushi at other sushi restaurants. The server was very accommodating with providing us the miso soup. The sushi came out quick, but I was very disappointed with the dessert, specifically the mochi (green tea) ice cream. It tasted grainy and arrived melted/ defrosted. It was supposed to taste like green tea, but it actually tasted more citrus flavored. I would not recommend ordering the ice cream here. The prices were good and the environment was very welcoming. Will consider coming back, but not for the ice cream.
Piccolino Ristorante
28719 Los Alisos Blvd, Mission Viejo, CA 92692, United States
4/6/2024What a wonderful evening at Piccolino. We were greeted by Aiden and McKenna and taken to a wonderful booth. Shelby was our amazing server. We also chatted with Sal, Jeff, and Devore. All wonderful people. We started with Patron Silver with three limes muddled and mint mixed with Pelligrino and the eggplant souffle. The drinks and appetizer were fantastic. We also had the bruscheta, which was quite tasty. Shelby stopped back by, and we ordered the main entrees. My wife ordered the Dover sole special, and I had the pasta wrapped lobster and crab. Juan Carlos delivered our entrees and de-boned the Dover sole tableside. The entrees were prepared and presented exquisitely and tasted amazing. We finished the evening with coffee and spumoni. Jeff stopped back by, and we had a wonderful conversation and appreciated his hospitality and kindness. We had a wonderful time and highly recommend this fine establishment.2/24/2024Another wonderful evening at Piccolino Ristorante in Mission Viejo. We had reservations and, upon entry, were greeted by McKenna, who is such a positive, friendly, and professional person. It was so nice to see her smiling customer friendly face upon entry. We were also greeted by Devor, the manager who is so kind and welcoming. We were seated by McKenna and then were introduced to our lovely server, Shelby. Shelby was terrific and took our dink and appetizer order. We started with two Patron Silver, Club soda, three limes muddled and mint. Also, we ordered the eggplant souffle, and I had a bowl of zuppa del giorno. Both appetizers were wonderful, as was the fresh bread. The ambiance was peaceful and quiet. Devor introduced us to the new manager when he is off or serving tables. We welcomed Jeff, who has much restaurant experience and comes from high-end restaurants here in the O.C.We also had a surprise visit from chef Paul Sotello, who wanted to make sure my wifes salmon was cooked to perfection. My wife had the King Salmon entree, and chef Paul wanted to ensure my wife was happy as she liked her fish cooked thoroughly. I had the paccheri Manzo, which is a filet mignon pasta dish, and wow, it was amazing. We finished our dining experience by sharing two scoops of spumoni gelato and a cup of coffee. Everything was fantastic.Highly recommended2/14/2024What an amazing Valentines Day Dinner with my lovely wife at Piccolino Ristorante in Mission Viejo. We had reservations and were greeted by McKenna, Diana, and Paulina. These ladies are so amazing, kind, and gracious as they greet us upon entry. Their impact is greatly appreciated and recognized. We were seated at a lovely booth and greeted by Jorge, our amazing server. Jorge has 3 children, and he and his wife celebrated Valentines Day yesterday after taking the kids to school. A wonderful man. Jorge took our drink order and came back with delicious Don Julio 70, club soda, three limes muddled and a touch of mint for each of us. We then ordered our appetizers from the pre-fix menus for Valentines Day. My wife and I both ordered the crema DAragosta soup, which was fantastic. We also asked him to give a hug to Sal, the owner who we knew would be busy in the kitchen. What a surprise, Sal came out of the kitchen to wish us Happy Valentines Day. Sal is a very special person and dear to our heart, besides being an amazing Ristorante proprietor and artist. We enjoyed seeing him. Then Jorge came by and took our order. My wife ordered the Salmone Amore, which she just loved. I ordered the 10 Oz. grilled lobster entree. Both dishes came with mashed potatoes and scrumptious vegetables. We also visited with Devor, the manager, who brightens up each table with his amazing customer service, kind demeanor, and professionalism. The entrees were simply delicious and well prepared and presented by head chef Paul Sotello. We were blessed to have Paul come by our table and introduce himself as we thanked him for his amazing culinary craft. The meals were amazing. Highly recommended
OPAH Seafood Grill
26851 Aliso Creek Rd, Aliso Viejo, CA 92656, United States
I am not what you call a foodie or a picky eater. Im fine with having canned soup all week if thats the only thing left in the pantry. But oh boy did OPAH open my eyes. I cant remember the last time I had a meal this good. Price was full of value for the taste, the atmosphere was very chic and modern, staff was friendly and the food was incredible. I had the tenderloin and my girlfriend the scallops. Highly recommend. The chef has other restaurants nearby apparently so you can bet I track one of those down the next time I run out of beefaroni.
