California Pizza Kitchen at Lakewood
Center Mall, Lakewood Blvd #500, Lakewood, CA 90712, United States
Passed by many a California Pizza Kitchen as I am not a pizza fan...but today, we happened upon this restaurant, attracted by its promotion of a pumpkin cheesecake....we had no idea we were in California Pizza...after we were seated, we asked, Where are we? and wow....they do serve pizza, and I suppose its good...but they also serve a wonderful menu of glorious options at an affordable price. I had a turkey club (not loaf turkey, a slice of real turkey breast) and excellent Dakota soup. It was wonderful on a chilly day...and the service was outstanding for a restaurant located in a mall...really do you expect great

Panera Bread
135A Lakewood Center, Lakewood, CA 90712, United States
◯01/19/24 (Friday)I went to there again around 8:15pm and ordered a hazelnut coffee through the Sip Club though; all coffees were already taken off from the shelf. I could change to an ice coffee if they had to brew a whole pot though; I asked Aakailah. Then, she was smiling and told me that she could brew only my cap and she did it for me.She was very nice!I really appreciated it.Also, Adison was very friendly and considerate my suggestion about taking off all those cups at each kiosk in past. That system was not good; I saw many people got free drinks through those cups including kids. That was very bad influence for kids to grow up. So, I called the Hq many times and reported what I saw for years though; now I saw the resault.I am happy and love panera bread! They are wonderful ❤️◯04/20/20I am a Penera Bread lover and I visited the Lakewood store today. Then, I had trouble to use my 2 Panera gift cards which had sufficient funds way more than my purchase amount.Although the cashier, Briana tried to withdraw the amount of my purchase out of these 2 cards, none of her attempts were successful. Also, rebooting her computer did not help the situation. She even tried to help me to use a KIOSK desk though; it did not work neither. Also, these my card balances were approved by their customer support as well. So, after spending almost 15 minutes to cope with this problem, we found that their computer system had some problems and so gift cards use would not be available until tomorrow.Oh-brother!I became so tired to dealing with this hectic and wished to be informed this earlier. However, nobody was perfect and was able to find out until my case, so, I could not blame any one.Briana was so helpful and considerate. She talked to her superior, Fidelvia for further assistance, and then eventually they ended up providing me a free meal.I did not even expect such a dramatic moment, but I just wanted a free coffee to ease my nerve though; they gave me way more than I expected.Be honest, I was thankful but felt so bad at the same time because it was not their fault, it was just happened. However, they took their proud and initiated to provide me their great service to make me feel good and happy.I am not talking about only a free meal, but also their thoughtful consideration and great treatment were stood out because I knew that not so many businesses did offer like what they did for me. Fidelvia and Briana tried to make me happy more than I expected and they were very polite while they were helping me.I have been coming this location many times since it was grand opening and loved there though; today, they definitely made me convince more to support their business in future.I really appreciated their kindness and consideration.Panera Bread is Great~& people were awesome!

100 FRESH SUBS & SALADS
11401 E Carson St #J, Lakewood, CA 90715, United States
This place is literally a little hole in the wall shop located across from the Long Beach Town Center. Once I saw the place, I wasnt too hopeful. The employee that helped me was very friendly and helpful. This place is still using plastic barriers and customers arent yet allowed in the shop. So I placed my order and waited outside. The employee went in the back and I could hear her assembling my order. A few minutes later, she handed me my order. My wife ordered the Italian sub and I ordered the Chicken House Salad. The old saying looks can be deceiving applies to this place because my wifes sandwich was absolutely delicious. It was on a fresh baguette and the ratio of bread to filling was great. This wasnt a typical sub sandwich where the bread is so thick that it over powers the filling. The baguette was crunchy on the outside and soft on the inside. The Chicken House Salad was simply Romain, cucumbers and roasted chicken, but it too was delicious. Do yourself a favor and check this place out, it really is 100% fresh.

I arrived and was greeted at the door. They let me sit anywhere. The server came and gave me a menu. She was kind and professional. The cook was a very sweet lady that made sure I was happy. I chose the aguachile. It was tasty. And I had agua de jamaica. The cook asked me if I enjoyed my meal. I told her yes. I was very happy. I highly recommend this place for mariscos.

Thai House Street Eats
3225 E Carson St, Lakewood, CA 90712, United States
I was waiting for this restaurant to be open to give it a try. For some reason, I had the feeling that it was going to be good.By far, this is the best thai restaurant in Long Beach. I have been to this place twice, and both times, the food was delicious. On my second visit, I ordered combination fried rice. I was surprised and extremely happy that it actually had a generous amount of beef, chicken, and shrimp. It was a bit more expensive than other thai restaurants, but it was worth it.The main disappointment about other thai places is that their combination fried rice is mainly rice and hardly any chicken, beef, or shrimp; plus they lack customer service skills. These two factors are a completely turn-off and a good reason not to come back.Good quality beef, fresh ingredients, generous portions, and a good chef make a big difference. Very good customer service, nice and clean restaurant. I am very happy overall. If I could, I would eat at this place every day.

Str8 Up Tacos
20900 Pioneer Blvd, Lakewood, CA 90715, United States
Straight up now tell me,do you really want to love meat forever, oh, oh, oh,or, am I only a fake vega-aaa-aaan?Straight up now tell me,is it gonna be jackfruit & cauli together, oh, oh, oh,or, are we just eatin vegan cause we ca--aaa-aaan? - parody of Straight up, Paula AbdulIve been hearing the scuttlebutt in regards to jackfruit, black bean & other assorted vegetarian tacos proudly served from a small taqueria located in a service station. During lunch time on a Saturday, my stomach led me to Str8 Up Tacos for my inaugural visit. The exterior order window was closed, with signage directing customers to order inside. The menu has both meat & vegetarian tacos. However, Str8 Up Tacoss claim to fame are their inspired vegetarian tacos, so naturally I had to go with those.Taco flight (crispy potato, black bean, cauliflower, hibiscus & jackfruit, in handmade tortillas)-Very good! Different flavors & textures intrigued my palate. The hibiscus taco had an extra charge, and reminded me of caramelized onions. My 2 favorite were the crispy potato & cauliflower, because of the crunchy mouthfeel. I found the taco flight filling, new & delicious.Service was fine. I ordered promptly, and had my food brought out to me within a few minutes. Being inside a carwash, there is a minimal amount of dining tables, both interiorly & exteriorly. Ditto for the parking. I parked at the school lot next door, with street parking also an option.Str8 up, these tacos are legit! If Im eating vegetarian, its gotta be bold & daring vegetarian, and Str8 Up Tacos nails it in that department. Unpretentious, low-key, with very good food, Str8 Up Tacos is a great taqueria that Im excited to return to when the taco hunger pangs surface in my gut.Highly recommend!NOMNOMNOMNOMNOM

We were here for lunch today. Fabulous food, everything is homemade and delicious! We had Spaghetti and Meatballs, salad and soup, bread is so GOOD! You have to search for it, no sign yet. Near the corner of Carson and Studebaker. Just west of the Donut shop. Near the new car Wash. Its small (16 seats) so call ahead on busy nights. No beer or wine yet, BYOB, $10. Closed on Monday. We missed this restaurant since it closed several years ago, so glad it’s back!!!

Seor Birria
9952 Lakewood Blvd, Downey, CA 90240, United States
I'm glad that BBQ place couldn't help me because I found a hole in the wall gem ? @SenorBirriaThis place is located in the corner of a strip mall just outside of LA in #Downey #CAI knew it was promising when I saw a simple menu. The kind of place that specializes in one thing really good. Before I could order I was getting great reviews from their patrons waiting for their orders. In the time I've been here the door has been swinging open and closed with customers not even looking at the menu. I knew this place was gonna be good. The only problem is I have to work my booth tomorrow and can't eat until the morning!! Torture at its finest! They where accommodating and packaged everything separate so I can heat it all up and make the #BirriaTacos in the morning. I also ordered a hard shell too for a #TacoDoradoI couldn't wait, it smells so good! So I had to do some criminal activity and chew on a sample of everything and spit it out.. I can't have anything in my system or I'll be spastic at my booth tomorrow.. I was right it's a gem ? the meat melts almost like a slow cooked beef tongue melts. Very tender and the flavors are on point. The salsa is on point too. It has a spicy kick but it's subtle enough to taste the flavor of the dried chilies ? they used. Red onions and cilantro is a first that I've seen in a restaurant. I've done it at home before. It works here perfect. When you combine it all into a bite they become a separate flavor on its own. I haven't even added the home made tortilla yet.Breakfast is going to be good tomorrow.. you'll have to wait for those pics..Good Night Everyoneenjoy your evening.#MaximilianoUllork #Ullork#ExploringWithoutLimitations#Birria#USAtacoTour #USA ?? #USAPJJ #PJJmag #AdaptiveAthlete #JiuJitsuLifestyle #WithoutLimitations#VanLife #RoadTrip

I Luv Sushi
3215 E Carson St, Lakewood, CA 90712, United States
The service we received tonight was absolutely ridiculous, I would think again before ordering food online from this place. I placed an order on their website at 6:20pm for 4 rolls (2 basic and 2 premium) and 1 miso soup. The email and website both said it would take 50 minutes. I drove to the restaurant at 7:20pm, so 1 hour from the order and 10 mins after it said the order would be ready. When I got in the restaurant and asked about my order, one worker said it had yet to be started and would take a little while longer. I asked for an ETA for this order and was ignored at least 3 times and finally received my food at 7:50pm, so 30 minutes after I arrived with no explanation for why it was taking so long and 1 hour 30 minutes from the time I placed the order. There was no apology for the massive delay either. I understand that, especially on a holiday, service might be slow. However, the awful customer service was pretty surprising considering I have ordered from here before with no issues. The quality of sushi is decent which gets them to 2 stars.

Chick-fil-A
4895 Candlewood St, Lakewood, CA 90712, United States
Honestly, I have never understood why so many people like to eat here. I finally have the worst reason to complain which was not only the worst service in any fast food experience Ive encountered, but it was literally the worst experience with fast food ever. I had won the coupon for a free chicken sandwich because my grandpa and I went to an Anaheim ducks game. Downloaded the app and headed to the closest location to my home. My grandfather and I pull up to order and he asked if he could apply his coupon to a chicken sandwich but grilled. The person taking our order on the intercom said yes, and continued with the rest of our order. We pull up and they charged us for two chicken sandwiches despite scanning the two coupons both from our phone apps. We point out the mistake, and then ask why the grilled version was still left on the charges. They argued that the coupon was not applicable to the grilled, sowe asked instead for the regular so that we could apply the coupon. They then informed us that they no longer had any chicken sandwiches, which would also inform me that our food was not made to order. It would seem odd that they randomly ran out and had not informed us of that to begin with. We tried to argue but gave up due to lack of any sort of logical response. We got our order, and they handed us two drinks for the 3 combos we ordered. I told them that they had forgotten a drink and that the order was still incorrect, and the supervisor just stood there gawking as if she didnt hear me say it multiple times. My grandpa just said its fine, they handed him back his card, and we started driving away. We got home with the now cold food, and realized that the person had given us the wrong credit card back. Rather than dealing with incompetence any further, we called my grandpas bank the next day and reported the card lost. This was the last time I will ever eat (or attempt to) at Chick-fil-A.
