QQ Noodle
330 Suite H, Reservation Rd, Marina, CA 93933, United States
This is not an authentic Vietnamese restaurant. no charcoal BBQ meat rice plate. It serves spicy Korean BBQ sauce meat rice plate but called them Vietnamese meat rice plate. Not condensed milk ice French coffee. It serves fast food restaurant cold regular coffee. Vietnamese soup noodle is so so with very small portion, better than order extra large size. service/staff is ok but does not know what the real Vietnamese food is. It is a American Chinese/Vietnamese fusion chop suey restaurant.
California Pizza Kitchen at Marina Del Rey
13345 Fiji Way, Marina Del Rey, CA 90292, United States
Great ambiance. Great Pizza! its menu selections of quite improved over the years. Theres more finesse to The soups appetizers and beverages, wow! Feels festive. However, service on a weekday was a little bit slow and they ran out of bread and we had to ask twice for it until they told us they had to make more. And it didnt come out til the main course came out. Id like to have bread on the table within minutes after sitting down, just as fast as water comes out. That is a standard of a pizzeria or Italian restaurant. Most of the waiters are great. Depends who you get . Photo shows view from inside looking at cozy Marina Del Rey holiday mall setting.
Blimpie Americas Sub Shop
2084 S Marina Dr, Salton City, CA 92275, United States
Awful customer service. Asked Mary to toast my sub before she added the vegetables. She was awfully rude and refused to do so. She started to argue with me and saying that wasnt the way they worked. I said that it doesnt matter and that it is the way i like it. she continued to argue with me and gave me a really crappy attitude. At that point I felt like I had to watch my sandwhich for any unexpected Condiments (spit). After she finished the sand which she continued to argue with me and I advised her to not be rude to a customer. Long story short. Would not recommend to anyone unless you like to be treated like crap.

Rojeh Melikian, MD - Spine Surgeon
4551 Glencoe Ave Suite #145, Marina Del Rey, CA 90292, United States
I have been dealing with neck and upper back pain that extended into my right shoulder and down my arm for pretty much the last decade. Herniated discs, spinal stenosis, cervical radiculopathy, spinal cord compression (thankfully without symptoms)—these words dominated my 30's and 40's. I have seen eight different spine surgeons in LA—orthopedic and neuro—as well as a handful of physical therapists, chiropractors, and physiatrists. Among this cast of characters were some highly decorated, highly recommended practitioners, who would look at my imaging, listen to me describe my symptoms, and then tell me something completely different from the last doctor I saw (who was also supposedly “the best.”) It was super frustrating.Until I saw Dr. Melikian. I think my appointment with him might have been the first one that didn't end with me crying in my car afterwards. He seemed like a *real person* who saw me as a *real person* too. He asked me what I did for a living, asked how old my kids were (I seriously don't think any of the previous surgeons EVER asked me that simple question!), and he listened intently. Does he remember the answers to those questions? Probably not, but I don't even care, because his bedside manner is phenomenal! He's also clearly knowledgeable about developments in spine therapeutics and technology, as well as the strengths and weaknesses of the different implants (but in no way tried to sell me on a particular product, which I felt a previous doctor did do.) Dr. Melikian spent time going over my imaging, gave me plenty of time to ask questions, and gave an objective assessment of the condition of my spine. He didn't dismiss or minimize, but he also didn't try to scare me or pressure me. (He even made me laugh—if you want someone with a real sense of humor, he's your guy!)But the most important thing he gave me, that no one else had given me yet, was simple: hope. Not false hope for perfection, but just realistic hope that he could actually help me feel better.I'm writing this review with tears of gratitude in my eyes, one week to the day after having a two disc replacement (c4-5 and c5-6). I woke up from the surgery as many others do, “pain-free,” but I knew I was on a ton of drugs and didn't want to get my hopes up. I didn't trust that the nothingness I felt in my right arm would stay once the narcotics wore off. (So I got off them as fast as I could!) All I can say is, so far, so good, and the hope is still going strong. My muscles and nerves are still recovering, but I just had my first post-op appointment (also satisfyingly thorough) and all is normal and progressing as expected.Everyone at the surgery center in Marina Del Rey was fabulous, by the way—the nurses, OR nurse, nerve monitor, and anesthesiologist (I forget his name, started with an “A”, but I got a rockstar there, too!) It was obvious they all held Dr. Melikian in high regard, too, and I felt secure, safe, and cared for, all around. (And I dont want to forget Cecilia, his assistant...she is competent and wonderful, too!)I can't believe that I waited as long as I did for this surgery, but I'm also glad I did, because it happened at the right time and place, with the right doctor. While ADR still seems like a young-ish procedure, even if something weird happens, or I have a new pain flare-up, or I need a subsequent surgery later on at a different level or something, I will go wherever Dr. M. is. He has my complete trust, and my spine is (literally!) in his hands from now on. I wouldn't have found my way to him without these reviews, so maybe this will help someone else find him (and some hope!), too.

The Rady Shell at Jacobs Park
222 Marina Park Way, San Diego, CA 92101, United States
Looking for an honest review?? Here goes ... The Shell is a great concert venue ... one of the better indoor or outdoor auditoriums I have ever experienced. The acoustics were quite fine ... I was sitting 8th row to the right. The shell itself is visually stunning, and is a great compliment to the other beauty of Embarcadero Park. The designers put a lot of thought into the design of the site. The sloping audience section with permanent bathrooms underneath and food behind works well. Crowd ingress and egress works as well as it could in such a tight space. I was worried that there would be no picnic space, but its actually there, too, though way in the back (...think nosebleed section) and on astroturf. Looking forward to trying it out. There are upsides and downsides to most seating locations. On the audience-left, the sea breeze on many nights will be a bit brisk. But on the right side (protected from wind by the Shell), there is clanking of food trolleys, which is totally unacceptable during any kind of music play. The best spots may be 5th row center, 10th row right and maybe the picnic areas. There is a no-food policy, which means no home-cooked picnics - a huge and unwelcome departure from the 50 year history of the Pops. The good news is that the food vendors have tasty and creative stuff ... thats highly priced, but not offensively so. For a picnic, Ill be trying out the far-back astroturf with their $18 pizza :). All in all, figuring in price, parking, traffic and overall experience, its a nice time, but with important tradeoffs. One good choice ... ride the Trolley instead of bringing the car. Im worried that the Pops has now priced me out of this market, and Ill keep an eye out for something cheaper and more intimate elsewhere. Still, congratulations to the Shell for creating a very high quantity and thoughtful gem for San Diego.Update Oct22. Demoted from 5 stars to 3 stars. I wont be back. So much has gone wrong here. The security guards were overbearing ... I get through the TSA and Federal Courthouse faster and with less trouble than this place. Who do they think theyre protecting from what?? No food allowed in ... We had to eat our Rubios tacos outside with the swirling out of control children. The music was well executed, but I have been going to the Pops for 50 years. This isnt the Pops anymore. More like the Hollywood Bowl. High on pretense and high prices, low on soul. Ill wait until the Pops comes back ... I wont be back to this way overdone, misguided place. :(
Caf Mia Brew Bar & Bistro
250 Reservation Rd, Marina, CA 93933, United States
Title: A Delightful Experience at Café Mia Brew Bar & BistroRating: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ (5/5)I recently had the pleasure of dining at Café Mia Brew Bar & Bistro, and my overall experience was nothing short of delightful. The ambiance, coupled with outstanding customer service, made my visit memorable. From the moment I walked in, the staff at Café Mia exuded warmth and professionalism. The level of customer service was exceptional, with the team going above and beyond to ensure that every aspect of our dining experience was enjoyable. They were attentive, friendly, and truly made us feel welcome. The menu at Café Mia offers a diverse range of options, and I must say that most of the dishes we tried were fantastic. The flavors were unique and well-balanced, and the presentation was top-notch. I particularly enjoyed exploring the different items on the menu. However, I do want to mention that the Chorizo dish, while tasty, was a bit different from what we are accustomed to in New Mexico. It had a unique twist that some might find intriguing, but for those expecting a more traditional flavor profile, it might be a slight departure. Nonetheless, this is merely a personal preference, and the dish itself was well-prepared and creatively crafted. In summary, Café Mia Brew Bar & Bistro exceeded my expectations with its exceptional customer service and a menu that showcases culinary creativity. I highly recommend this establishment for anyone seeking a delightful dining experience. I look forward to returning to explore more of their offerings and savor the welcoming atmosphere they provide.(Note: Ensure that your review adheres to Googles content policies and guidelines when posting it on Google Contribute.)
Chula Vista Marina
550 Marina Pkwy, Chula Vista, CA 91910, United States
Turned me and my boyfriend down because we were too young per the dock master. We bought a 35 foot boat, which is what the minimum is for a live aboard. This boat was already at the marina too. Survey was perfect. Gave both of our collections of paycheck stubs to prove income. You only have to make 2.5 to 3x more than what the rent costs, which we did. They told us that they denied us because of our income and credit, which is incredibly funny because they didnt run our credit until after a friend of ours went off on the management in which they said theyd review our application again. This is also when he was able to get it out of the management that they turned us down because we were too young. Im 18 and my boyfriend is 19. We both hold great, reliable jobs. We were obviously able to have enough income and savings to buy the boat in the first place so its incredibly insulting that they denied us because of our age. They didnt run our credit till after they said they would re-review it. But at this point we went ahead and just applied to the marina next door (California Yacht Club). Told them about the situation and they told us that as long as our credit is good and the survey is good, they could careless about age (obviously as long as youre over 18). Chula Vista Marina also said theyre trying to make it a resort vibe, which I mean come on its Chula Vista. People go to Mission Bay and Coronado if they want that. Theres so many people at Chula Vista Marina that also just live there without paying the live aboard fee, which nothing is being done about. Yet, they turn us down when we were totally okay with paying the fee. I could go on and on but honestly just take your business elsewhere. The staff and management is whack and discriminatory.I also want to add that I'm not new with boats and marinas. My dad and family friends have had boats for years and I've grown up going out on the water. If you don't plan on living on your boat, take your boat to mission bay like seaforth marina or marina village. You'll be much more happy with the management.
Porque no Tacos
2014 Marina Blvd, San Leandro, CA 94577, United States
Ill start off by saying that the food here is good. We got the chilaquiles and they were presented nicely and flavorful, though not super filling so I recommend getting something with it. The shrimp tacos were ok, but not super special.Overall, the food was fine, and we were enjoying ourselves until...Please note that I have a service animal. Prior to arriving at the restaurant, I called to ensure that service animals were allowed, and I was told they were. When I arrived, the worker, who I assume I spoke to on the phone, addressed me and asked are you the one who called about the service animal? I said yes, he smiled and took our order. No issue. We sat down, ate, and enjoyed the chill atmosphere for almost two hours. Then out of no where, a lady aggressively approached our table (again, after having been sitting, eating, paid, and minding our business for 2 hours), and said that animals werent allowed in the restaurant. She didnt identify herself, give any type of greeting, or excuse herself for interrupting our conversation. The dialogue went as follows:She: Animals arent allowedMe: I called ahead and asked if service dogs were allowed and I was told yesShe: Who did you speak to?Me: I dont knowShe: You didnt get their name?Me: No, I didnt askShe: Well its our policy that no animals are allowed. Did you eat already or are you waiting on food?Me: We ate and have been sitting here with no problemShe: Theres a sign on the door that says no petsMe: This is a service animal and obviously the guidance from the staff contradicts this statement. She walked away without giving any awareness or recognition that the dog was a service animal.Needless to say, we left almost immediately after. It was extremely disheartening, and frankly, frightening, to be approached with such aggression and obvious disregard for the spectrum of disabilities and purpose of service animals. Further, we looked for a sign outside the restaurant, and there is nothing that says no animals, or more specifically, service animals. Her dismissal of my needs, and refusal to let us be patrons of this business is a violation of the Americans With Disability Act which states: The ADA is a federal law which requires businesses and organizations that serve the public to allow people with disabilities to bring their service animals into all areas of the facility where customers are normally allowed to go. Examples of these businesses and organizations include restaurants or hotels.July is Disability Pride Month to commemorate the passing of the 1990 Americans with Disability Act. The law prohibits discrimination against people with disabilities. Although 1 in 4 Americans have a disability, there is still much work to be done to achieve equity among our largest minority group. Her behavior came off as derogatory, ableist, and discriminatory towards persons with disabilities. I would NOT recommend this business to anyone that experiences disabilities, considers themselves an ally of those in that community, or has any general compassion for humans. This was an extremely disappointing and humiliating interaction that tarnished an otherwise enjoyable dining experience. I do not plan to return, and do not advise others to either.Lastly, to reiterate, the woman never introduced herself, so I dont have her name, or have any idea what her role is in the establishment, but she noted she was the enforcer. To describe her physically, she looked to be middle aged, fair skinned with shoulder-length brown hair and about 57. She would benefit from sensitivity, diversity, inclusion, and equity training and overall compassion, empathy and improved communication skills.
Marina Restaurant
2144 Marina Blvd, San Leandro, CA 94577, United States
Wow and Wow. Was staying overnight at the Marina Inn and searched for a place for dinner. Fortunately, I chose a winner with Marina. My wife had an Italian Chicken Dinner and I had a Mexican chicken dinner. Also ordered a bowl of clam chowder. Everything was excellent, fresh, delicious, and plentiful. We got takeout as currently there is no dine in option. As I mentioned, plentiful was an understatement. We were packing for a flight and had a luggage scale out at the hotel. Our two meals with soup actually was right at 7 pounds of food and unfortunately, more than we could possibly eat. I dont leave many reviews but love to shout out a clear winner. 6 days around northern California with great meals everywhere. This one stood out and is getting my review.
